CORNELIUS A. HAGER
SEVERNA PARK - Cornelius Ardinger "Neil" Hager, 69, a resident of Severna Park since 1963, died Wednesday, March 12, 1997.
Born Dec. 2, 1927, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Anna and Vernon Hager. Mr. Hager graduated from Allegany High School in 1945. He entered the U.S. Navy and served for two years as an electrician's mate. In 1961, he moved to Baltimore and was employed by the Lyon, Conklin Co. as shop supervisor. In 1978, he started his own business of servicing and selling sheet metal fabricating machinery. He retired in 1993, and turned over the former Hager & Sons to his sons. He was interested in boating, fishing, and his hobby, woodworking. He was a member of the Eastern Shore Choptank Muzzeloaders.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Rosemary Hager; two sons, Douglas Hager, Baltimore, and Martin Hager, Millersville; four grandchildren; and one sister, Verna Cooper, Mechanicsburg, Pa.
Friends will be received at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church, Severna Park, on Saturday at 10 a.m. with Monsignor Edward Staub officiating.
Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Cumberland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. John the Evangelist Church Building Fund, or to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, 689 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146.
LAURA KATHRYN "KATE" HAGGERTY
FROSTBURG - Laura Kathryn "Kate" Haggerty, 91, died Saturday, Nov. 22, 1997, at Frostburg Village Nursing Home.
Born May 20, 1908, in Sabillasville, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Nina M. (Harbaugh) Eby. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Haggerty; and two brothers, Charles and David Eby.
Surviving are her sister, Martha "Marty" Carrington, Frostburg; her brother, James H. Eby, resident of Citizen Nursing Home, Frederick; and a number of nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Thurmont, on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with Father Leo Titler as celebrant. Interment will be in Wellers Church cemetery, Thurmont.

VIRGINIA Z. HALTERMAN
CLEARWATER, Fla. - Virginia Z. Halterman, 91, of Clearwater, formerly of Cumberland, Md., formerly of Ridgeley, W.Va., died March 25, 1997, at Arbors at Safety Harbor Nursing Home.
Born in Cumberland, Md., she moved to Clearwater from Ridgeley, W.Va. in 1959. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Halterman, in 1947.
Mrs. Halterman was a cashier at the former Brown Brothers Dairy Store, Clearwater, and a member of Skycrest United Methodist Church, Clearwater.
Surviving are her daughter, Virginia L. Milton, Clearwater; a sister, Wilda Meadows, Frostproof; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Interment was in Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, Clearwater.
The Moss-Feaster Funeral Home at Sylvan Abbey, was in charge of the arrangements.
MARY M. HAMILTON
CUMBERLAND - Mary Margaret Hamilton, 81, of Cumberland, died Thursday, June 12, 1997, at her residence.
Born Dec. 22, 1915, in Ocean, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Annie (Fiebs) Humbertson. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, John Humbertson and George W. Humbertson Jr.
Mrs. Hamilton was retired from the Celanese Corporation, where she had worked in the downtwisting department. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her son, James L. Humbertson and wife Marge, Cumberland; one brother, Thomas Humbertson and wife Edith, Oldtown; three sisters, Anna Dolly, Cumberland, Elizabeth Bridges and husband Luke, Cumberland, and Eleanor Mullenax and husband Marshall, Euclid, Ohio; three grandchildren, James Humbertson, Cindy Ratke and husband George, and Stacey Helmstetter and husband Roger; and four great-grandchildren, Justin and Jamie Ratke, and Alyssa and Shawn Helmstetter.
Friends will be received at the George-Upchurch Funeral Home, 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Mark Dill officiating.
Interment will be in Mt. Herman cemetery.
Members of the Ali Ghan Motor Corps will serve as pallbearers.

ANNA M. HUMBERTSON
CUMBERLAND - Anna Margaretta Humbertson, 87, of Cumberland, died Tuesday, July 29, 1997, in the Lions Manor Nursing Home.
Born March 21, 1910, in Flintstone, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Nellie (Cunrod) Bennett. She also was preceded in death by one son, Stanley Delano Humbertson; and one brother, James M. Bennett.
Mrs. Humbertson was a Methodist by Faith.
Surviving are one daughter, Mildred Ann Younger, Cumberland; one son, Roy Virgil Humbertson, Centreville, Pa.; two sisters, Myrtle Bennett and Arlene Bennett, both of Everett, Pa.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the George-Upchurch Funeral Home, 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Harold W. Crabtree officiating.
Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Park.
RALPH D. HAMPSON
LAVALE - Ralph Day Hampson, 79, of Gramlich Road, LaVale, died Thursday, June 12, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born February 22, 1918, in Holbrook, Pa., he was the son of the late Edward Benton and Cora Rachel (Day) Hampson.
Mr. Hampson was retired from Sacred Heart Hospital's Maintenance Department. He also previously worked at Columbia Gas and Hercules Powder Company. He was a member of LaVale United Methodist Church and a member of their board of trustees. He was a charter member and past president of the Upper Potomac Garden Club. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Madeline (Widdup) Hampson, LaVale; three sons, James L. Hampson and wife Judith, Bedford, Pa., Gary W. Hampson and wife Delana, Cresaptown, and Howard R. Hampson and wife Judith, Bowie; a sister, Helen L. Grady, Willoughby, Ohio; five grandchildren, Craig A. Hampson, Wellsboro, Pa., Kevin W. Hampson, Bedford, Pa., Thomas J. Hampson and Kathryn A. Hampson, Bowie, and Brent A. Hampson, Cresaptown; and six great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Bernadette Ross, officiating, and the Rev. Meredith Shryock, assisting.
Interment will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Jim Brothers, Howard Widdup, Jim Twigg, George O'Baker, Charles Shelby and Arthur Kalcher. The honorary pallbearers will be grandsons.
MARY EILEEN LILLER HANN
CUMBERLAND - Mary Eileen Liller Hann, 61, of Cumberland, died Wednesday, May 7, 1997, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.
Born May 3, 1936, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Lena Virginia (Spring) Liller, Cumberland, and the late Alvin T. Liller Sr.
Mrs. Hann was a graduate of Fort Hill High School class of 1954, and Memorial Hospital School of Nursing 1958.
Surviving are a son, Jack Elvin Hann Jr., Mobile, Ala.; a daughter, Karissa S. Colgan, Atlanta, Ga.; two grandchildren, B.J. Colgan and Derek Colgan, Indiana, Pa.; two brothers, Gerald W. Liller, Oklawahee, Fla., and Tony Liller, Cumberland; four sisters, Willadean Teter, Flintstone, Md., Barbara Liller, Joy Liller, and Bonnie Swan, all of Cumberland; and a number of nieces and nephews.
