VIRGINIA JONES
HYATTSVILLE - Virginia (Meuller) Jones, 89, of Hyattsville, formerly of Cumberland, died Thursday, July 3, 1997, at the Sacred Heart Home, Hyattsville.
Born April 24, 1908, in Mannayunk, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Katherine (O'Brien) Meuller. She also was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Emmett L. Jones Jr., whom she married
in 1929.
Mrs. Jones was a homemaker. She lived in Cumberland from 1932 to 1962. Her and her husband had a summer residence at Deep Creek Lake. She was a graduate of Marymount College, Pa., and worked as a laboratory technician at the Thomas Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, Pa. Mrs. Jones also was an active member of the Allegany County Bridge Club while in Cumberland. She also was a member of the Cumberland Women's Civic Club and the Cumberland Country Club.
Surviving are two sons, Emmett L. Jones III, Upper Marlboro, and J. Philip Jones, Washington, D.C.; one grandson, Emmett L. Jones IV; two great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Margery (Jones) Carlson, Old Lyme, Conn.
Graveside services will be in the Hill Crest Memorial Park, Mason Road, Cumberland, on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
Family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Sacred Heart Home, 5805 Queens Chapel Road, Hyattsville, MD 20782.

ADALINE N. JONOSHA
WESTERNPORT - Adaline N. Jonosha, 94, of 405 Poplar St., Westernport, died Monday, Sept. 15, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Aug. 31, 1903 in Barton, she was the daughter of the late Charles G. Coyle and Janet (Preston) Coyle.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Carl Jonosha in 1963; a son, James Carl Jonosha; two sisters; and one brother.
Mrs. Jonosha was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church,
Westernport and a member of Westernport Senior Citizens. She also was a Gold Star Mother in the Victory Unit #155 Ladies Auxiliary, Westernport, and Queens Point #6775 V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, McCoole.
Surviving are four daughters, Maxine Raysinger and husband, Paul, Eileen Poland, and Lee Ann Jonosha, with whom she resided, all of Westernport, and Janet Angle and husband Charles, Gainesville, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Carol Kenny, Harriett Russo, Janet Lee Channel, Jennifer Dawson, Donna Michael, Mark Dawson, and James Raysinger; 14 great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Victory Unit #155 will hold a memorial service at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:15 p.m.; and Queens Point V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary will hold a service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. James Hannon officiating.
Interment will be in Philos cemetery, Westernport.
FLOYD CALVIN JOY
CUMBERLAND - Floyd Calvin Joy, 84, of the Cumberland Nursing Home, Cumberland, died Monday, Oct. 6, 1997 at Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 17, 1913, in Cherry Run, W.Va., he was the son of the late George Henry Joy and the late Susan Elizabeth (Fisher) Joy. He also was preceded in death by a wife, Marie A. (True) Joy; and a daughter Loretta Lee Joy.
Mr. Joy was a retired maintenance employee for the Allegany County Court House. He attended Christ United Methodist Church. He was an honorary member of Trucks Unlimited.
Surviving are four sons, Richard C. Walker and wife Laura, Fontana, Calif., Donald L. Joy and wife Jean, Anchorage, Alaska, Kenneth R. Joy and wife Gloria, Cumberland, and David Joy, Augusta, W.Va.; five daughters, Marjorie Mummert and husband Fay, Cumberland, Linda Weadon and husband Jerry, Ellerslie, Nancy Petruzzi and husband John, West Mifflin, Pa., Sandy Robinette and husband Ed, Salisbury, Pa., and Sherry Zembower and husband Troy, Cumberland; two brothers, Earl William Joy, Frederick, and George Leonard Joy, Deltona, Fla.; one sister, Margaret Wilt, Ohio; 31 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted on Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Merritt-Adams Funeral home with the Rev. Stan Cardwell officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park.
MARGARETTA C. JOY
LITTLE ORLEANS - Margaretta Cora Joy, 65, of Old Adams Road, Little Orleans, died Friday, June 27, 1997, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Dec. 25, 1931, in Hancock, she was the daughter of the late William and Hazel (Munson) McCusker and the widow of Lewis H. Joy, who died April 2, 1983. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Millard McCusker and Harry William McCusker.
Mrs. Joy had been employed by the G.C. Murphy Co., Hancock; and later by the Sidling Hill Exxon, Little Orleans. She was a member of the Mount Olivet Presbyterian Church, Exline Road, Hancock. She attended the Piney Plains United Methodist Church, Little Orleans, and was a member of the Piney Plains United Methodist Womens Group.
Surviving are two daughters, Robin Stotler and Linda Fletcher, both of Little Orleans; three sons, Wayne Joy, Timmy Joy and Billy Joy, all of Little Orleans; four sisters, Genevieve Plante, Williamsport, Fern Hart, Warfordsburg, Pa., Lorna Thomas, Salisbury, and Harriet Yost, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; three brothers, Robert McCusker, LeRoy McCusker, and Henry McCusker, all of Hancock; seven grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main St., Hancock, on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. For the convenience of friends, the funeral home will be open on Sunday from 1 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Piney Plains United Methodist Church on Monday, June 30, 1997, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Alan M. Smith officiating. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Memorial Hospital Hospice Unit, 600 Memorial Ave., Cumberland, MD 21502.
GLADYS L. JUDY
LAVALE - Gladys Leoda Judy, 92, of 421 Braddock St., LaVale, and the Frostburg Village Nursing Home, died Sunday, March 16, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born June 27, 1904, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late William W. Judy and the late Margaret I. (Keady) Judy. She also was preceded in death by five brothers, James E., William G., Paul R., Isaac N.E., and Carl R. Judy; and three sisters, Lillian E. Eichner, Margaret T. Preaskorn, and Maud P. Wise.
Miss Judy was a retired teacher in Allegany County schools with 39 years of service. She was a graduate of Allegany High School, Frostburg Normal School, and received her bachelor of science degree in education from the University of Maryland. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and Retired Teachers Association of Maryland.
Surviving are one brother, Earl A. Judy, LaVale, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. John J. Duffus officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park.
NORMA JEAN JUDY
PENDLETON, IND. - Norma Jean Danner Judy, 74, of Pendelton, Ind., formerly of Cumberland, died Wednesday, May 21, 1997, at her home.
Surviving are three children; two brothers, Tom Danner, Cumberland, and William Danner, Spring Gap, W.Va.; one sister, Ella Mae Arnold, Frostburg; seven grandchildren; and 8 great-granddaughters.
Friends will be received at the Wilson Saint Pierre Bright Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10 a.m. Friends will be received one hour prior to services.
JAMES F. JULIANO
CUMBERLAND - James Francis Juliano, 74, of White Oaks, Cumberland, passed away Friday, Oct. 31, 1997, at Memorial Hospital Hospice.
Born Aug. 19, 1923, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Guiseppe and Roseina (Laserra) Juliano.
Mr. Juliano was the former owner and operator of Jimmy's Market and later owned Juliano Construction Company. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife, L. Anne (Vass) Juliano, Cumberland; one son, Stephen W. King, Cumberland; two sisters, Mary Juiliano and Antoinette Juiliano, both of Cumberland; and his beloved pet, Cheine.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Tuesday at 9 a.m. with Father Milton A. Hipsley as celebrant.
Entombment will be in Sunset Mausoleum.
Full military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
