Caden, D.D.S, Jesse

Jesse Caden, D.D.S., age 89, of Ocean City, Maryland, formerly of Washington, D.C., died at his home on Saturday, April 20, 2002.

Dr. Caden was the beloved husband of Sharon Lewis Caden; beloved husband of the late Irene Caden; father of Richard Caden and Margi Wolfson; brother of the late Harold Caden and the late Estelle Kapson; grandfather of Marc Caden, Jeffrey and Michael Wolfson; and great-grandfather of Becky Wolfson and Andrew Caden.

He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many loving relatives and friends.

Dr. Caden was a World War II Air Force veteran and a member of Temple Bat Yam in Berlin.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2002 at 12:30 PM in the chapel at King David Memorial Gardens in Falls Church, Virginia.

Shiva will be observed on Tuesday and Wednesday at the home of Marc and Stephanie Caden.

A Shiva memorial service will be held at Temple Bat Yam in Berlin, Maryland on Thursday, April 25, 2002 at 7:00 PM

Aaron, Vernon A.

Vernon A. Aaron, 97 of Cambridge, passed away at the Dorchester General Hospital in Cambridge on Friday July 1, 2005. He was born in Cambridge and was a son of the late William G. and Bertha Dean Aaron.

He was born in Cambridge on February 9, 1908 and was a son of the late William G. And Bertha Dean Aaron. Mr. Aaron graduated from Cambridge High School, and also took a LaSalle extension course. He started working on the water with his father at the age of 8 on buy boats. For a number of years he worked as an accountant with the Phillips Packing Co. in Cambridge, and later worked for 20 years as a dock master at the Cambridge Port. On October 28, 1933 he was married to the former Leona Beckwith. Mr. Aaron was a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Cambridge, and was an avid gardener. He had been in failing health for the past two months when he passed away at the Dorchester General Hospital early Friday morning.

He is survived by his wife, Leona B. Aaron of Cambridge, a daughter Marian A. Fleischer and her husband Robert D. Fleischer of Dover, two grandchildren Deborah L. Waldron of Dover, and Scott L. Waldron and his wife Joanne M. Waldron of Hunt Valley and a great grandson Scott L. Waldron, Jr. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home in Cambridge with the Rev. Douglas S. Albert officiating. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends during the hour preceding the service on Tuesday.

Abend, C. Edward

C. Edward Abend, 67 of Madison, passed away at his home on Wednesday January 9, 2008. He was born in Baltimore on October 31, 1940 and was a son of the late Carl Albert and Catherine Heiser Abend.

Mr. Abend attended schools in Brooklyn Park. On October 31, 1959 he was married to the former Bonnie Pennewell. Some years ago he worked for his father as a plumber and has been self employed as a master plumber since 1977. They have made their home in Madison since 1992, where he continued working as a master plumber. Mr. Abend was a member of the Madison United Methodist Church as well as the Moose Lodge in Westminster. He had been an avid bowler for many years. Mr. Abend had been in failing health for the past two weeks when he passed away at his home on Wednesday evening.

Survivors include his wife Bonnie M. Abend of Madison, one daughter Starr Ecker and her husband Ron Ecker of Westminster, two sons Abey Abend and his wife Annette Tidwell of Aztec, New Mexico, Ronald W. Abend and his wife Andrea Abend of New Windsor, MD., five grandchildren Marie Brooks, Bryton Cassell, Rhett Cassell, Wyatt Abend and Victoria Abend. He is also survived by two brothers Rick Abend and his wife Kathy Abend of Madison, Charles Abend and his wife Janet of Pasadena, a brother in law Buddy Pennewell and his wife Karen of Woodbine two sisters in law Sherrie Roden and her husband Thomas of New Windsor, Susan Wolf and her husband Joe Wolf of Monongahela, Pa and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers Robert Bock, Ernest Abend and John Abend.

A funeral service will be held at Mr. Abend's home at 1107 Taylors Island Road in Madison on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Robert G. Kirkley officiating. The family will receive friends at Mr. Abend's home from 6:00 to 9:00 PM on Saturday and also during the hour preceding the service on Sunday. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Coastal Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802 or to the Madison United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 6, Woolford, MD 21671. Arrangements are being handled by the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.

Babcock, Burk Lee

Burk Lee Babcock, 73, of Chester, died Saturday, January 15, 2005.

Mr. Babcock, a life long resident of Dutch Gap, was the son of the late Branch and Bertha Bucher Babcock, a US Air Force and Army veteran, and a retired government computer technician.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, Chesterfield Ward.

Mr. Babcock was preceded in death by a brother, Orel Babcock and a sister, Lorine Belcher.

Mr. Babcock is survived his wife, Barbara Babcock; a son, David Babcock of Chester; three daughters, Teresa Keeter and husband Charles of Midlothian, Rose Oliver and husband Richard of Chester, and Kathy Thompson and husband Stephen of Chesterfield; seven grandchildren, Travis, April, Heather, Melissa, Michael, Brittany, and Kelly; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A funeral will take place at 1:30 P.M., Tuesday, January 18, 2005 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.

Under the direction of Bishop Moss, Brother Chris Keeter will officiate.

Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening, January 17, 2005 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.

Insley, Hazel E.

Hazel E. Insley, 91, of Secretary formerly of Cambridge passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at her residence.

She was born in Elliott on February 27, 1914 and was a daughter of the late Alonza and Vennia Hurley Hurley.

Mrs. Insley attended school in Vienna.

She was married to Harold R. Insley, and had worked her entire life in local canneries and sewing factories as a seamstress.

Mrs. Insley was a Methodist all of her life.

Mrs. Insley had lived at the Bradford House in Cambridge for 17 years, and enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with her family.

She had made her home with her daughter in Secretary for the past seven years where she passed away on Wednesday morning.

She is survived by two daughters Doris George of Chester VA, Kay Abey of Secretary, two sons Ronald 'Romeo' Insley and his wife Nelda Insley of Cambridge, Carl Insley and his wife Betty of Madison, four grandchildren, Pamela Davis, Sherry Schubert, Leroy 'Tiny Jug' Abey, Jr. and Gene Aaron, seven great grandchildren, Laura Cannon, Julie Abey, Leroy Abey III, Louis Abey, Corey Schubert, Christopher George and Donald George.

She is also survived by two great great grandchildren Haley Cannon and Carly Cannon, one step great great grand child Tyler Cannon and several nieces, nephews, cousins and one sister in law.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Betty Insley, a granddaughter Mary Ann Bright, a grandson Donald 'Dougie' George, two sisters and Nellie Collins and Jeanette Travers, a brother Robert Hurley and two sons in law Leroy Abey, Sr. and Donald George.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. A. Delmer Willey, Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park.

A visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Wendell Hurley, Jason Hurley, Donald George and Christopher George.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Leroy Abey, Jr. and Bob Schubert.

Clyde Tripple, III

LANCASTER, Pa. - Clyde M. Tripple III of Millsboro and Lancaster, Pa., died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006, in Millsboro.

He was 66.

Mr. Tripple was the son of the late Clyde M. Jr. and Margaret (Price) Tripple.

He retired as a supervisor/foreman from Veitch Printing Corp. after 42 years of service.

He also worked for the Pennsylvania Game Commission for 15 years.

He was proprietor of C.T. Tackle of Millsboro.

Mr. Tripple enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all, he enjoyed his family.

He loved the Sussex County area.

Services and burial will be private.

Instead of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions to Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.

Arrangements by Watson Funeral Home, Millsboro.

Insley, Samantha Lynn & Stephanie Marie

Samantha Lynn and Stephanie Marie Insley, newborn twins of Jonathan Scott Insley and Melanie Sue Poole, went to be with the Lord, Friday, September 10, 2004 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.

In addition to their parents, they are survived by maternal grandparents: Roxanne Owens of Salisbury and Claude Poole of Virginia; and paternal grandparents: James and Linda Insley of Tyaskin.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at 11 AM at Holloway Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.

The Rev. Joel Beiler will officiate.

Interment will be in Tyaskin Church Cemetery in Tyaskin, MD.

Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home, 501 Snow Hill Rd., Salisbury, MD 21804.

ANNABELLE P. INSLEY

Salisbury - Annabelle P. Insley, 84, of Salisbury, died, Friday, January 10, 2003 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center.

Born in Salisbury, MD she was the daughter of the late Isaac Linwood Price and Katherine E. Hall Price.

She was preceded in death by he husband Fitzhugh Lee Insley, Jr. in 1986 and a son F. Lee Insley III in 1997.

She nursed at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, both on staff and in private duty until she retired in 1979.

She was an active member of the Wicomico Presbyterian Church having joined in 1942.

She had served on all the church boards, several of the New Castle Presbyterian committees, and was active in the Women of Wicomico Church.

She had served as chairman and later as co-chairman of the Joseph House Soup Kitchen committee for more than twenty years.

She had given more than 2000 hours as a volunteer at the Holly Foundation.

She was a past president and longtime member of the Institute of Retired Persons.

She is survived by a daughter Patricia A. Orr and her husband David L. Orr of Warrington, PA, three grandchildren; James L. Orr, Karen Orr McIntyre, and Jennifer Insley Thede, four great-grandchildren; Steven and Rachael Orr, and Hannah and Landon Thede, a sister Elizabeth P. Hinson of Winter Garden, FL, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Sunday immediately following the 11 AM worship service at Wicomico Presbyterian Church.

The Rev. Bruce Kirk will officiate.

Following cremation private family services will be held.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Deer's Head Hospital, C/ O Volunteer Services, P. O. Box 2018, Salisbury, MD 21802 or the Wicomico Presbyterian Church Music Fund, 129 Broad Street, Salisbury, MD 21801.

Arrangements are being handled by the staff of Bounds Funeral Home.
