Haensler, Kenneth Matthew
Salisbury - Kenneth Matthew Haensler, 75, of Salisbury, MD, died Sunday, May 29, 2005 at his home in Salisbury, MD.
Born February 10, 1930 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Matthew and the late Meta (Praeger) Haensler.
Mr. Haensler graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute in 1947 and from John Hopkins University in 1950 with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering. He started a career in Civil Engineering in 1950. In 1966, Ken moved to the Eastern Shore and served as sanitary engineer, assistant director of Public Works and director of Public Works. Ken was also an ASCE member since he was a college student; he was also very active in the Chesapeake Water Pollution Control Federation and served as chairman from 1977 to 1978 for the American Water Works Association. Since his retirement in 1986, Ken had served as president of the Delmarva Science and Engineering Association, served on the Board of the Salisbury Wicomico Arts Council, was Lower Shore representative of the JHU admissions office and as a volunteer with the internationally recognized Salisbury Zoological Park.
Mr. Haensler is survived by two sons: John McNeill "Mick" Haensler of Salisbury and Matthew Kenneth Haensler of Ocean City.
A memorial service will be held at Holloway Funeral Home on Thursday at 1:00PM . Friends may call one hour prior to the service.

George, Rev. William K.
Army
Rev. William K. George, 93 of Cambridge, passed away at the Kankakee Medical Center in Kankakee, Illinois of Wednesday, December 1, 2010. Rev. George was a long time Pastor at the Church of the Nazarene in Cambridge. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.

Gajda, Antoni
GREENSBORO - Antoni "Tony" Gajda, 88 of Greensboro, died at Saturday, November 10, 2001 at Caroline Nursing Home.
He was born May 13, 1913 in Poland. He is survived by his friends Glenn and Betty Spiering.
Mr. Gajda served in the Polish Army from 1935 to 1938. He worked on farms in Germany during WWII. After the war he worked in Frankford, Germany for the U.S. Army during the Berlin Air Lift. He came to the United States in 1951 to Clayton, DE. though the St. Joseph Industrial School. Mr. Gajda then moved to Greensboro, MD in 1967 where he was a self-employed farmer.
Funeral services will be held November 14, 2001 at 11:00 A.M. at Grave side in Greensboro. Burial will be at Greensboro Cemetery on Wednesday, November 14, 2001.
CUBA O. KANE
Cuba O. Kane, 42, departed this life on Friday, April 23, 2004 at her residence in Cambridge.
Born July 12, 1961 she was the daughter of Clementine Dickerson and the late John L. Kane.
She was educated in the public schools of Dorchester County, a graduate of Cambridge South Dorchester High School Class of 1979. For 18 years she was employed at Black & Decker formerly in Easton, MD.
Cuba was a member of the New Revived United Methodist Church, Smithville, MD. She attended bible study, joined the Women's Club and was on the Hospitality Committee. She really loved the Lord.
She was a loving mother, daughter and sister, and above all a true and compassionate friend to all whom she encountered.
In addition to her mother she is survived by a daughter, Necole Kane ( a 2004 graduate of Towson University of which Cuba was so proud); four sisters: Palechia Palmer, Tammy Washington (Ray), Renna McKinney (Jeremiah) and Dominica Bowser (Robert); nine nieces: Constina Thaxton (Cyrano), Pelynda Batson (DaWayne), Sha'Ray and Ray Washington, Sr., Terah and Paul Pinder, Brandon Fooks, Jeremiah and DaRon McKinney; two great nieces: Sheniece and Sha'Bria Batson; a great nephew: Da'Wayne, Jr.; eight aunts: Lovella Harris (Kemp), Berdina Ross (Haymon), Barbara Johnson (Arvel), Elsie Stanley (Harold), Sylvia Kane, Diane Kapper, Rose Kane; four uncles: William Chester, Russell, Andrew and Edwin Kane, and a host of cousins and friends.
A funerals service will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2004 1pm at Bethel AME Church with the Rev. Turhan Potter officiating. Interment will follow in Malone Cemetery (Madison).
There will be a viewing one hour prior to the services only.

Gaither, Clifton J.
On September 28, 2004, Clifton James Gaither, of Severn, devoted husband of Mary Gaither; beloved father of Jerome Gaither; dear brother of Beaula Moore; loving grandfather of Danyelle and Dallas Gaither; dear great grandfather of Chy'ad Smith.
His interests included baseball, volleyball, horse shoes, tennis, checkers, billiards, hunting, travelling and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors at the Singleton Funeral Home, from 6 to 9 P.M. on Saturday and Sunday. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 10 A.M. at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville.
Gadow, Richard Paul
Richard Paul Gadow of Preston, MD died Sunday, July 9, 1006 at the Memorial Hospital at Easton, MD. He was 86.
He was born Jan. 15, 1920 in Linchester, near Preston, the son of the late Edward Paul Gadow and Lena Plutschak Gadow.
He was an automotive body worker and was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt and fish. He was fond of all of his dogs and enjoyed spending time in his vegetable garden.
He is survived by his wife of over 58 years, E. Lucille Harding Gadow whom he married on Jan. 30, 1948, two daughters, Linda Fairbanks of Preston and Debbie Sheets of Oxford, a son, Mark Gadow and his wife, Christine, of Hurlock; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son Larry Paul Gadow. He was also preceded in death by 6 siblings, Alpheus Gadow, Irvin Gadow, Jeanette Shannahan, Lillian Engerman, Adaline Wroten, and Leonard Gadow.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Staehli, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Junior Order Cemetery in Preston. Friends may call at the funeral from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Jackson, George E.
George E. Jackson, 68, of Lakesville, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2005 at Dorchester General Hospital. He was born in Crapo on January 16, 1937 and was the son of the late Hamilton and Mary Bradley Jackson and his adoptive parents, Dorothy Wroten and the late Wilson Wroten.
Mr. Jackson attended school in Crapo. On June 1, 1956 he married Harriett V. "Ginger" Sewell, who passed away on September 22, 1989. He had worked at Spicers Lumber Mill, Emerson Elzey Plumbing and in 1976 he started his own business George E. Jackson Plumbing and Heating. He was one of the first volunteer EMT's in Dorchester County. Mr. Jackson enjoyed fishing, gardening and his pets. He was a member of Cambridge Lodge #1211 Loyal Order Of Moose, Cambridge Lodge #1272 B.P.O.E. Elks, Sons of the American Legion, past member of Lakes & Straits VFC holding several positions, Past President of Dorchester County Volunteer Fireman's Association.
He is survived by his adoptive mother, Dorothy Wroten of Cambridge, a daughter Sandi Kenny and her husband Warren of Andrews, a grandson Derek Miller of Lakesville, a granddaughter Ginni Miller of Andrews, a great granddaughter Alyssa Miller, 2 great- grandsons Christian and Zachary Lewis, a companion Barbara Adams of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, his adoptive father and his wife, he is preceded in death by a sister Dot McGlaughlin.
Pallbearers will be : Wallace Dodson, Dave McMullen, Gary Smith, Steve Smith, Rodney Travers and Jimmy Ward.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Ted Abbott, Bruce Meekins, Petey Travers and Delmer Willey.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 25, 2005 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. A. Delmer Willey, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. A visitation will be on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
