Leighton, James Oborn
James Oborn Leighton, 78, of Millsboro passed away on January 19, 2011 at the Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, MD. Born in Clifton Heights, PA on March 29, 1932, he was the son of the late Martha Caine Leighton. He was a US Army Veteran of both the Korean and Viet Nam era. He was preceded by his wife, Irene only last month on December 7, 2010. He is survived by three children: Linda Simcox, of Millsboro and Cynthia Stinger, of Dagsboro and James Leighton, Jr., of Millsboro. In addition, he is survived by two sisters: Dorothy Hayden, of Mifflintown, PA; and Marie Keesey, of West Chester, PA.
Six grand-children: Arthur, Tanya, Sami, Crystal, Jesse, and Thomas and two great-grandchildren: Julianna and Skylar. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. A viewing will be held on Friday, January 28, 2011 at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE from 12:30 PM till 1:30 PM, followed by a chapel interment service at 2 PM at the Delaware Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, with military honors conferred. Pastor Andy Ellers will officiate. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions to the Children's Cancer Network.
MacCallum, Warren C.
Warren W. MacCallum, Jr., 74, of Toddville passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2006 at his home. He was born in Dorchester, Massachusetts on March 14, 1932 and was a son of the late Warren W. and Virginia Pearse MacCallum.
Mr. MacCallum graduated from Weymouth high school in 1950 and went on to Massachusetts Maritime Academy and graduated in 1954. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1957 and received his honorable discharge in 1960. On August 24, 1968 he married Diana Smith. Mr. MacCallum had worked for Powell and Minnock Brickworks in Coeymans, NY as an operator engineer until he retired in 1997. He was an avid sailor.
He is survived by his wife Diana MacCallum of Toddville, children Robert P. Barry of Colorado, Pamela Way and her husband Kevin of Pine Plains, NY, Christopher Barry and his wife Irene of Colorado, Ian MacCallum and his wife Beth of Albany, NY, children from his previous marriage Steven W. MacCallum, John W. MacCallum, Ellen R. MacCallum and Jane MacCallum, a sister Nancy J. Hopper of Placerville, CA and three nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Thomas United Methodist Church, C/O Phyllis Mills, 1817 Crocheron Rd., Bishops Head, MD 21672. Thomas Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Gaines, Harriet Henderson
CHESAPEAKE - Harriet Gertrude Henderson Terry Gaines, 85, went to be with her Lord on Sat., June 23, 2007 in a local convalescent center. She was born in Campbell County, VA and was the daughter of the late Lizzie Sammie Foster Terry and George Washington Terry, Sr., and the widow of Stanley N. Gaines. Harriet had retired as a telephone operator with First Virginia Bank after many years. She was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memory are three sisters, Christine T. Price of Virginia Beach, Shirley R. Terry and her husband, Roger, and Patricia Ann Petersen and her husband, Dallas all of Chesapeake; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Verble Thomas Terry and George W. Terry, Jr.
A memorial funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 in Central Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Otis Colston. Burial will be private in Rosewood Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Central Baptist Church.
Bloodsworth, Roger W.
Roger W. Bloodsworth, Sr., 84 of Wingate passed away on Monday, March 8, 2010 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. He was born in Cambridge on December 26, 1925 and was a son of the late Noble and Minnie McGlaughlin Bloodsworth.
He attended school in Wingate. On October 13, 1945 he married the former Mary Frances Parks. She passed away on April 16, 2001. He was a boat builder and was the first to build a boat with a pt bow. He was also a waterman. He enjoyed building model boats.
He is survived by three daughters Sharon M. Paul, M. Lorraine Bloodsworth and Janice C. Wilson, two sons Roger W. "Bull" Bloodsworth, Jr. of Cambridge and Michael Lee Bloodsworth of Cambridge, four grandchildren Trisha Howett, Jeff Howett, Joey Bloodsworth and Michael Bloodsworth, a brother Curtis Bloodsworth of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and his wife, Mr. Bloodsworth is preceded in death by a brother William A. Bloodsworth and four sisters Edith Jones, Ethel Andrews, Jeannette Robbins and Pauline North.
Pallbearers will be Joey Bloodsworth, Steve Bloodsworth, David Bloodsworth, Robbie Bullen, Ell Jones, Jr. and William Windsor.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Richard Prahl officiating. Burial will follow at Parks Family Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Mackay Jr., Donald
Donald Mackay Jr., 80 of Salisbury, died Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in McKeesport, PA, he was the son of the late Donald Mackay Sr. and Agnes Sommers Mackay.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Norma Kathryn Mackay of Salisbury; two children and their spouses: Laura Ann and Paul J. Lewis of Salisbury and Donald and Sandra Mackay III of Ocean Pines; and four grandchildren: Ryan Lewis, Kyle Lewis, Shelby Mackay and Joshua Mackay.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Fairall, Byron W.
Byron W. Fairall, 80, of Cambridge, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at Dorchester General Hospital. He was born in Odenton, MD on October 27, 1924 and was a son of the late Philip R. and Leila Meekins Fairall.
Mr. Fairall graduated from Cambridge High School in 1941. In that same year, Mr. Fairall enlisted in the U.S. Navy on November 15, 1941 to December 7, 1945 and was on active duty during WWII on the U.S.S. Ranger (CV 4) and received American Theatre Campaign Medal, WW II Victory Medal, Combat Action Medal and the European - African Middle Eastern Theatre Campaign Medal. On July 28, 1946 he married Elizabeth 'Betty' Buker. On January 18, 1950 he enlisted in the Navy reserves until January 17, 1954. Mr. Fairall had worked with the Department of Natural Resource Police for 30 years and retired in 1984. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his wife of 58 years. He liked to hunt, fish and spend time with his rabbit dogs. Mr. Fairall was an assistant Scout Master and committee member with Boy Scout Troop 128, a member of American Legion Post 91, Choptank Memorial Post 7460 VFW, Grace United Methodist Church and Baraca Class.
He is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth 'Betty' Fairall of Cambridge, two sons, Byron 'Barney' Fairall II and his wife Robin of Cambridge, Lee Fairall and his wife Tracy of East New Market, a grandson William L. Fairall who is serving in U.S. Navy, a granddaughter Haley A. Fairall of Salisbury, a sister Mary Lee Bradshaw and her husband William of Vienna, two brothers Phillip R. Fairall of East New Market and Paul R. Fairall and his wife Ann of Maryville, Tenn., a cousin Doris Stordy of Cambridge, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be: Nick Nazare, Gene Harper, David Thomas, Milton Higgins, Carlton Thomas and Dennis Gilliard.
A funeral service will be on Saturday, March 26, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Douglas M. Ridley officiating. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Kalouroumakis, Emmanuel J.
Emmanuel J. Kaloroumakis, 79 of Salisbury, died on Friday, January 24, 2003 at the Salisbury Center: Genesis Eldercare.
Born in Chicopee, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late John Kaloroumakis and Caliope Dellas Kaloroumakis.
Mr. Kaloroumakis was a US Marine WWII veteran. He owned and operated Manny's Bonfire Restaurant in Jamesport, Long Island, New York for more than 20 years. He moved to Salisbury five years ago; where he had been very active in the St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Ocean City.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jeanne Karas Kaloroumakis; two children: George Kaloroumakis and his wife, Ellen, of Salisbury and Barbara Ann Flynn of Long Island, New York; five grandchildren: Peter, Katy, George, Jillian and Shawn; five brothers and sisters: Lula Kamages of San Francisco, CA, Peter Kaloroumakis of Gloucester, MA, Frieda Kaloroumakis of Chicopee, MA, James Kaloroumakis of Chicopee, MA and Betty Socha of Ludlow, MA and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother George and an infant brother Charles.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2003 at 10:30 AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Ocean City. Visitation will be held Monday, January 27, 2003 from 5-8 PM at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury, with a prayer service at 7 PM. The V. Rev. Fr. Vasilios Penterides, Archimandrite will officiate. Interment will be in Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock.

Fable, Kathryn C.
Kathryn "Kitty" Claytor Fable, 89, of Petersburg, died Monday February 21, 2005 at her residence.
She was the daughter of the late Richard J. and Blanche Verney Claytor and the widow of Clinton E. Fable.
She was also preceded in death by her son Oliver E. Fable.
Mrs. Fable was retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Co.
She is survived by her sister Rachel C. Hamner and husband Lawrence Jr. of Chesterfield, Two Nephews Lawerence "Larry" Hamner III, Richard J. Claytor and two great nephews, Cliff and Nicholas Hamner.
A graveside funeral service will be held 2:00 PM on Thursday February 24, 2005 in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg with the Rev. R. Roland Powell, officiating.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7-8:30 PM at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
