ROGER W. CHONTOS
Age 24, of New Baltimore, died Jan. 27, 2003. Mr. Chontos was a carpenter for Quality Carpentry and a member of AMA Motor Cycle Club of American. He is survived by his mother, Sharon of New Baltimore, father, William of Roscommon; and sisters, Kimberley Fowler of Chesterfield and Justine of New Baltimore. Services were held in Gendernalik Funeral Home, New Baltimore, with the Rev. Leonard J. Gendernalik officiating. Burial was in St. Mary cemetery, New Baltimore.

ALOYSIUS "BIG AL" WOLOSZYK
Age 65, of Casco, died Jan. 28, 2003. Mr. Woloszyk served in the U.S. Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He retired as a supply truck driver for the 127th wing of the Air National Guard at Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Mount Clemens and a member of St. Augustine Parish and served as an usher, delivered Meals on Wheels and previously served on the Richmond Reserve Police Force. Mr. Woloszyk is survived by his wife, Beverly; sons, Michael of Avoca and Mark of Belleville; daughters, Janay Woodruff of Texas and Marlene Chauvin of Avoca; and half-sister, Nancy Petts of Warren; and ten grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers, Richard and Phil. Services were held in St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond, with the Rev. James Commyn officiating. Arrangements were made by Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Burial was in St. Michael cemetery, Richmond. Memorials can be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society or the American Heart Association.

EARLETTA "EARLENE" WALKER
Age 72, of Fort Gratiot, formerly of Richmond, died Jan. 14, 2003. Mrs. Walker was a member of Richmond Church of God. She is survived by her sons, Donald of Shelby Township and Gregory Price of Romeo; daughter, Kimberly Brunell of New Jersey; six grandchildren; and brothers, Richard and Robert Hammond. Mrs. Walker was predeceased by her husband, Walter. Services were held in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond, with the Rev. Larry Peterbough officiating. Burial was in Richmond cemetery.

MILDRED B. SLIVENSKY
Age 89, of Royal Oak, died Jan. 13, 2003. Mrs. Slivensky was a homemaker. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Kranz of Troy; son, Raymond of Columbus; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Slivensky was predeceased by her husband, Maxwell; daughters, Sharon Brown and Shirley Slivensky; brothers, Josiah, Truman and Charles Castle; and a sister, Margaret Watson. Services were held in Rewalt Funeral Home, with the Rev. Alvin Titus officiating. Burial was in Millington Township cemetery, Millington, Michigan.

CHRISTOPHER ROBERT SIMS
Age 31, of Kenockee, formerly of Lenox, died Dec. 28, 2002. Mr. Sims worked as a bricklayer for Local 1. He is survived by his wife, DeAnna; sons, Christopher Jr., and Ronnie; parents, Robert and Diane of Allenton; brothers, Matthew and Robert, both of Eastpointe and Jason of Port Huron. Arrangements were made by Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Burial was in Sacred Heart cemetery, Roseville.

MARIE A. MITCHELL
Age 84, of Marine City, died Jan. 30, 2003. Ms. Mitchell served during World War II as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps and was employed as a machine operator at Excello Corporation in Highland Park. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Marine City. Ms. Mitchell is survived by her twin sister, Jeanette Davinney of Marine City; and many extended family members. She was predeceased by her sisters, Dorothy Erickson and Betty Slovinski; and a brother, Kermit Mitchell. Services were held in Bower-Rose Funeral Home, Marine City, with the Rev. George T. Browne officiating.

HELEN ENDRES
Age 89, of Marine City, died Jan. 31, 2003. Mrs. Endres was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Roma Sayers and Helen Gilbert; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many extended family members. Mrs. Endres was predeceased by her husband, Luke. Services were held in Fellowship Baptist Church, East China, with the Rev. William Blount, officiating. Arrangements were made by Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, China. Burial was in Woodlawn cemetery.

MARIE C. HOLSTINE
Age 79, of Big Creek, died Jan. 27, 2003. Ms. Holstine was a factory worker for plastic parts. She is survived by her daughters, Marie Lindsey of New Baltimore and Mary Wallace; son Joseph; 13 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. Services were held in Gendernalik Funeral Home, New Baltimore, with the Rev. Wayner officiating. Burial was in Oakwood cemetery, New Baltimore.

STELLA A. VERYSER
Age 87, of Chesterfield, died Jan. 28, 2003. Mrs. Veryser was a licensed practical nurse for St. Joseph Hospital in Mount Clemens, and a member of Chesterfield Senior Citizens and St. Louis Catholic Church, Clinton Township. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Lundberg of Kalamazoo; son, Eldon of Chesterfield; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Veryser was predeceased by her husband, Prosper. Services were held in St. Louis Catholic Church, with the Rev. Anthony Sulkowski officiating. Arrangements were made by Gendernalik Funeral Home, New Baltimore. Burial was in St. Mary cemetery, New Baltimore. Memorials can be made to St. Louis Catholic Church, Clinton Township.

LANCE ATTLEY WILLIAMS
Age 32, of Chesterfield, died Jan. 30, 2003. Mr. Williams owned Custom Floor Design in Clinton Township and taught Indian culture in the area (Chippewa Tribe). He is survived by his daughters, Paige of St. Ignace and Kaytelyn of Hessel; mother, Cathy Morphew of Chesterfield; brothers, Alvin and Westley, both of New Baltimore and Raymond of Richmond; sister, Barbara Mackety of Dafter; and grandparents, Alvin and Marilyn Williams of Sault St. Marie. Services were held in Gendernalik Funeral Home, New Baltimore.

ELLEN G. CLARK
Age 85, of Marysville, died April 2, 2003. Mrs. Clark was employed with Mortimer Lumber Company as an office administrator. She is survived by a sister, Gladys Tollander of Kimball; and many extended family members. Mrs. Clark was predeceased by her husband, Sherman; sister, Marguerite Davis; and brothers, Lawrence and George Culp. Services were held in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home, Port Huron. Burial was in Lakeside cemetery, Port Huron. Memorials may be made to Blue Water Hospice.

THELMA YOUNG GRUEL
Age 92, of Marysville, died April 2, 2003. Mrs. Gruel retired as a salesperson for Sears and Roebuck and was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, the altar guild, past president of the Mary Martha Guild and Mystic Chapter 58 OES. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Glombowski and Marian Relken, both of Port Huron six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members. Mrs. Gruel was predeceased by her husband, Fred; brothers, Russell and Melvin Gardner; and sisters, Laura Cote and Irene Kanthak. Services were held in St. John's United Church of Christ, Port Huron, with the Rev. William B. Terry officiating. Arrangements were made by Pollock-Randall Funeral Home, Port Huron. Burial was in Lakeside cemetery, Port Huron. Memorials can be made to St. John's United Church of Christ or St. Clair County Chapter of American Red Cross.

RUBY I. MILLER
Age 80, of Clay, died April 2, 2003. Mrs. Miller was a life member of Oak Park VFW Post Ladies Auxiliary, and Oak Park Division 5 and a member of the Cherry Beach Senior Center. She is survived by her son, Claude; three grandsons; and two great-granddaughters; two brothers; companion, Walter Klimas; and many extended family members. Mrs. Miller was predeceased by her husband, Claude. Services were held in Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac, with the Rev. Robert Wagner officiating.
