STANTON "BUD" DOUGLAS TURCK
Age 59, of Port Huron Township, died May 18, 2003. Mr. Turck was employed by ESC Adhesives as a mill operator and previously worked for St. Clair Rubber and Mueller Brass. He is survived by his wife, Sally; mother, Dorothy Turck of Port Huron; daughters, Deborah Turck of Port Huron and Kimberly Pentzien of Marysville; son, Scott of Smiths Creek; a brother, Bren of Ruby; two grandchildren; and many extended family members. Mr. Turck was predeceased by his father, Stanton Sr; and a sister, Judith Hall. Services were held in Marysville Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Bendert of Pilgrim Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial was in Woodland cemetery, Port Huron Township. Memorials can be made to the Humane Society or St. Clair County Animal Shelter.

SHIRLEY A. WICHERT
Age 67, of Pigeon, formerly of Richmond, died May 17, 2003. Mrs. Wichert formerly owned and operated a craft store in Richmond and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pigeon. She is survived by her husband, Robert; daughters, Linda Kondek of Richmond, Peggy Merecki of Romeo and Patty Campis of Pigeon; son, Billy of St. Clair; brother, James Young of Bad Axe; 12 grandchildren; and many extended family members. Services were held in First United Methodist Church of Pigeon, with the Rev. Margaret Passenger and the Rev. David Wichert officiating. Memorials can be made to First United Methodist Church, Scheurer Hospital or the American Cancer Society.

FLORENCE H. BURKHARDT
Age 86, of Brighton, formerly of Richmond, died May 20, 2003. Mrs. Burkhardt was the founding owner of Town and Country Beauty Salon, a member of Eta Zeta Pi and Brighton Senior Center. She is survived by her sons, Henry of St. Johns, Thomas of Kalamazoo and Frederick of Indiana; daughters, Trudi Mikle of Battle Creek, Elizabeth Czuk of Traverse City and Mary Anne Bastian of Brighton; brothers, Joseph and Donald Ernst; sisters, Lorraine Finucan, Marcella Karmon and Mary Cassidy; 18 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Mrs. Burkhardt was predeceased by her husband, Henry Sr. Services were held in St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond, with the Rev. James Commyn officiating. Arrangements were made by Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Burial was in St. Michael cemetery, Richmond

ROLAND J. COLLINS
Age 77, of Richmond, died May 19, 2003. Mr. Collins was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S Navy. He retired from Ford Motor Company and was a member of Richmond VFW and Richmond Knights of Columbus. Mr. Collins is survived by his wife, Marie; daughters, Sharon Germain of Illinois, Sandra Collins and Theresa Maniaci; brother, Jerome; sisters, Katherine Fisher of Chesterfield and Rose Rivard of New Baltimore; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; He was predeceased by his first wife, Bertha; brother, Andrew; and a sister, Mary Dobruk. Services were held in St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond, with the Rev. James Commyn officiating. Burial was in St. Michaels cemetery, Richmond. Memorials can be made to the wishes of the family.

DONALD L. MORRIS
Age 72, of Marine City, died May 17, 2003. Mr. Morris was a salesman with many local car dealerships and a member of Pine Shores Golf Course. He is survived by his wife, Mary; daughters, Mary McDonald and Katherine Doktor; sons, Kevin, James and Mark; 12 grandchildren; brother, Eugene; and a sister, Lois Morris. Mr. Morris was predeceased by his brothers, Orville and Gerald. Services were held in Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City. Arrangements were made by Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, China Township. Memorials can be made to the wishes of the family.

DONALD E. DODGE
Age 65, of Algonac, died May 17, 2003. Mr. Dodge was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church where he served as an elder, served as St. Clair County commissioner and county administrator, was secretary of the Michigan Municipal Risk Management Authority and vice chairman of South East Michigan Council of Government, a trustee for Michigan School Board Association and president of the Algonac School Board, served as president of the Algonac Rotary and Pearl Beach Lions Club, charter president of the Algonac Jaycees, was active with the March of Dimes and served on their board of directors with the United Way served as treasurer, was mayor and councilman for the city of Algonac and township clerk for Clay Township. He is survived by his wife, Marian; sons, Dave and Larry; daughter, Karen Brenner; seven grandchildren; brother, Fred; step-sister, Shirley; and many extended family members. Services were held in Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Clair, with the Rev. Gerhard Mau officiating. Arrangements were made by Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, China Township. Burial was in Oaklawn cemetery, Algonac. Memorials can be made to the charity or church of the donor's choice.

JOSEPH EMERALD BERTRAND
Age 74, of Algonac, died May 9, 2003. Mr. Bertrand was a former jazz drummer playing with bands such as Jimmy Dorsey, Gene Krupa and Rusty Warren and a member of FOE Aerie 2784 Fair Haven. He retired from G.E. Carbology. Mr. Bertrand is survived by his wife, Gloria; daughters, Michell Santoro, Denise West, Annette Vernier, Gloria Bertrand and Christina Bertrand; sons, Eugene and Joseph Jr.; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four sisters, and two brothers. Mr. Bertrand was predeceased by a grandson. Services were held in Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac, with the Rev. Douglas Bignall of St. Catherine Catholic Church, Algonac, officiating. Burial was in St. Catherine cemetery, Algonac. Memorials can be made to St. John's Hospice.

MARGARET ANN MEDLEY
Age 58, of Ira Township, died July 2, 2003. Mrs. Medley was employed by Venture Industries as a press operator. She is survived by her husband, Thomas; daughter, Dawn Blum of Chesterfield; son, Thomas of Fair Haven; two grandchildren; brothers, Mike Talluto of Fraser and Tom Talluto of Harrison; and sisters, Pearl Jackson of New Baltimore, Angie Petrone of North Carolina, Sue Lewandowski of Windsor, Bernice Talluto of Burton, Evie Jeakle of Algonac and Rose Green of Chesterfield. She was predeceased by her sister, Josephine Shields. Services were held at Christie-Olszewski Funeral Home, New Baltimore, with Deacon Leo Marchand officiating. Burial was in Cadillac Memorial Gardens, Clinton Township.

STANLEY REISNER
Age 94, of China Township, died July 8, 2003. Mr. Reisner is survived by his daughters Patricia Rosplochowski and Mary Ann Fyda; sons, Robert and Stanislaus; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Frances Eaton. He was predeceased by his wife, Gertrude. Services were held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clair. Burial was in Resurrection cemetery. Arrangements were made by Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, China.

MARIAN E. HAMET
Age 85, of Algonac, died July 8, 2003. Mrs. Hamet is survived by her son, Tim; two grandsons; and one niece. Services were held in Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac, with the Rev. Dennis Irish of Trinity United Methodist Church, Algonac, officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn cemetery, Algonac. Memorials may be made to the St. Clair Humane Society.sa

LINDA MARIE SLUCK-WYLIE
Age 54, of Algonac, died July 5, 2003. Mrs. Wylie is survived by her husband, Clayton; sons, Clayton Jr. and Jamie; brothers, Robert Sluck of Tennessee, and Edward Sluck and William Sluck, both of Chesterfield; and sisters, Agnes Sluck of Eastpointe and Verna Kaminski of Algonac. Services were held at Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac, with Sister Helen Williams of St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Algonac, officiating.

KATHRYN M. BUCKLER
Age 92, of Richmond, died July 7, 2003. Mrs. Buckler was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Christ, Richmond, the church Council and the Women's Fellowship. Mrs. Buckler is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Lynch of Richmond; son, Dale of Smiths Creek; brother, John Sutton of Port Huron; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Ervin; daughter, Corrine Schultz; and brothers, Clarence Milton and James Sutton. Services were held at Kammeraad Funeral Home, Memphis, with the Rev. Jennifer Long officiating. Burial was in Richmond cemetery. Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.

DAVID NELSON WEEKS
Age 83, of Richmond Township, died July 4, 2003. Mr. Weeks was a farmer and Richmond businessman, a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church of Christ, Richmond, and served on the Richmond Township Board of Review. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; sons, David of Arizona, Jerrold of Marquette and Richard of Skandia; daughters, Marjory Koenig of Clare and Mary of Mt. Pleasant; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Jeanette Potts of Richmond. He was predeceased by his brothers, Frederick and Robert; and sister, Elaine Weinert. Services were held at First United Church of Christ with Rev. Jennifer Long officiating. Burial was in Richmond cemetery. Arrangements were made by Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond. Memorials may be made to First United Church of Christ.
