BLANCHE E. AGOSTINO,
Age 97, of Richmond, passed away Wednesday Oct. 27, 2004 at Medilodge of Richmond. She is survived by her two daughters, Sadie Karpinski of Chesterfield Twp. and Frances Margrander of Florida, 12 grandchildren and many extended family members.

GLENN PRIESKORN,
Age 64, of Ray, died Oct. 29, 2004. A lifetime member of B&BS; Gun Club and enjoyed the outdoors. Surviving are his wife, Faye; sons, Kenneth (Carol), Keith (Julie), Kevin (Kelly) and Glenn (Kelli); stepchildren, Cheryl (Tim) Gill, Lisa (fiance, Mike Barrettt) Hatley and James (Theresa) Hatley; siblings, Jack (Francis) Prieskorn, Mickey Sawitzky and Carolyn Kuchenmeister; 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by parents, Elmer and Edna (nee Steinke) Mayer Prieskorn and siblings, Bill and Bud Mayer, Gordon and David Prieskorn and Karen Parson. Funeral was Nov. 1, 2004 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Lenox. Burial followed in Meade cemetery. Visitation was at Tiffany-Young and Hauss Funeral Home, Armada. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to family.

KARL D. GOTTSCHALK,
Age 62, of Chesterfield Twp., MI, died Oct. 20, 2004. Mr. Gottschalk served in the U.S. Navy, and was retired as a Chief Engineer from Daimler/Chrysler. He is survived by his wife, Betty; sons Kevin of Algonac, and David of New Baltimore; grandchildren Matthew, Jesse and Ross; brother Russell of Brighton; and sister Judy of Jackson. He was predeceased by parents Roy Frederick and Luellen Gottschalk. Services were in St. John Lutheran Church with the Pastor Gustave Kopka officiating. Cremation has taken place at Meadowcrest Crematorium, Detroit. Arrangements were made by the Christie-Olszewski Funeral Home, New Baltimore.

ANN E. KNIGHT,
Age 72, of Marine City, passed away at St. John River District Hospital in East China Twp. Ann was born on July 5, 1932 in Mt. Clemens to the late Robert and Edna (Harris) Jock. On May 8, 1976, she was united in marriage with Harold Knight. He passed away in 2001. She was a resident of Marine City, Mt. Clemens, Barton City and Harrison. Ann was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Harrison, MI. Mrs. Knight is survived by her son, Ken (Cora) Jock, 5 grandchildren, 3 great-granddaughters and 2 great-grandsons. Also surviving are 2 siblings, Joseph (Wanda) Jock and Joyce (Matt) Owens. She was predeceased by 6 siblings, Robert, Tom, Bill, Eleanore, Louis and Julius. Cremation was private. Arrangements were made by the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home in Mt. Clemens.

MIKE "LEO“ HOLSTINE,
Age 78, of Fair Haven, passed away on Sun. morning, Feb. 27, 2005 in Medi-Lodge Nursing Home in St. Clair. He was born on July 6, 1926 in Detroit, MI, a son of the late Frederick and Mary Agnes (Pierce) Holstine. He was united in marriage with Lillian Trythall on May 29, 1948 in St. Clair Shores. They have lived at their present address since 1974. Mike Leo worked for 34 years as a tool and die maker for Axis Precision Systems in Clinton Twp. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a past president of the New Baltimore Lions and enjoyed hunting, camping and metal working. Mr. Holstine is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lillian and 4 children, Lillian (Tim) Gall of Chesterfield Twp., Shirley (Fred) Andary of Chesterfield Twp., Leo (Paula) Holstine of Eastpointe and Michael (Melissa) Holstine of East China Twp. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Mr. Holstine was predeceased by 6 brothers and sisters. A funeral service will be held Wed., March 2, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Ave., Mt. Clemens. Burial will follow in Resurrection cemetery in Clinton Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Society or the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.

RALPH H. WINTERS,
Age 89, died Feb. 21, 2005. Predeceased by his wife, Celeste and two brothers. Survived by niece, Judith Pilgrim, nephew, James Winters and special friend, Marie Marsh. Arrangements made by Gendernalik Funeral Home, Inc., 35259 Twenty-Three Mile Rd., New Baltimore. Memorials may be made to donor's choice.

MEREDITH W. SEALEY,
Age 60, died March 3, 2005. Dear husband of Susan. Dear father of Erin Louise and Gail Meredith. Dear son of Orpha Williams. Dear brother of K. Neil (Nancy) and Lindy Pasternak. Survived by 2 nieces and 2 nephews. Services were held in Grace United Methodist Church, 49655 Jefferson, Chesterfield. Arrangements were made by Gendernalik Funeral Home, Inc., 35259 Twenty-Three Mile Rd., New Baltimore. Memorials may be made to the church or Heart Association.

MICHAEL C. ALLOUR,
Age 56, of Marysville, passed away on Feb. 21, 2005 in St. John River District Hospital after a short illness. He was born on June 24, 1948 in Detroit. Michael married Nancy J. Maliniak on Jan. 12, 1974 in New Baltimore. He served in the United States Army, was a member of the V.V.A. #154 in Mt. Clemens. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Michael is survived by his wife, Nancy of Marysville; daughter, Jennifer Barnum of Port Huron; granddaughter, Abigail Barnum of Port Huron; mother, Rita Allour of Utica; sister, Juanita Allour; brothers, Dennis Allour and Patrick Allour; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence. Services were held in Lakeside cemetery Chapel with Pastor Donald Sperling, pastor of River of Life Christian Fellowship, officiating. Inurnment will be at Allied Veterans cemetery Columbarium. Arrangements were made by Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave. at 17th St. Memorial tributes may be made to the Wishes of the family.

PAULINE EVERAERT,
Age 81, died Feb. 26, 2005. Dear wife of the late Roger R. Dear mother of Roger C., Diane (Daniel) Knockeart, Susan (Thomas) Sparger, Richard J. (Kristina) and Pauline E. (Kurt) Clapp. Survived by 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and sister, Margaret Joque. Arrangements were made by Gendernalik Funeral Home, Inc., 35259 Twenty-Three Mile Rd., New Baltimore. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association.

SARA "SALLY" CHALGIAN,
passed away unexpectedly while at her home in Sunny Isle, Florida on Sat., Feb. 12, 2005. Sally was born on May 2, 1933 and grew up in Algonac, MI. She had many happy memories swimming and boating in the St. Clair River with her 4 brothers and sister. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend and she dearly valued spending time with her family. She loved having her family together for the holidays and other gatherings and entertaining friends and family at the many parties and fundraising events she hosted with her husband, Charles. Even when she wasn't with her family, Sally spoke to her grown children daily and never tired of hearing about their lives and her grandchildren. Sally was a committed Christian and practiced kindness and generosity in all areas of her life. She tirelessly gave her time and resources to all people and groups in need. She was one of the earliest members of Peace Presbyterian Church in Fraser and served in various leadership roles at the church for over 40 years. She was a regular Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher. She was a founding member of the Human Relations Council and from its beginning, she served for many years on the Board of the Northeast Interfaith Center for Racial Justice including acting as the Chairperson for the Macomb County Martin Luther King, Jr. annual dinner several times. For many years, she was Chairperson of the Macomb County Family Independence Agency Board and served on the Board of the Girl Scouts Otsikita Council. She was actively involved with Friends of Welfare Reform and was a leader in innovative charitable causes including providing backpacks to foster children and shoe boxes of school supplies for children in the community. She was actively involved in local politics and was well known for designing creative brochures and writing informative newsletters. She also served on the Selective Service Board for 20 years, was President of the New Baltimore Friends of the Library and tutored students in Miami, Florida. Sally was a creative and popular English teacher at Macomb Community College where she worked for over 30 years with her husband. She loved reading, especially short stories and poetry and regularly led Great Book discussion groups. She was also the first Executive Director of the Displaced Homemaker Project in Macomb County. Sally was a graduate of Algonac High School and Antioch College where she majored in English. She received her Master's Degree from Goddard College and did her post-graduate work at The University of Michigan. Sally is survived by her loving husband, Charles (Chuck). They were to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in April. Sally met Chuck while working together at the Antioch College cafeteria. They created a wonderful partnership and showed by example how much two people could love and care for each other. After both retiring from Macomb Community College, they spend the last 12 years enjoying their homes in New Baltimore and Florida, traveling and watching their grandchildren grow. Sally is also survived by her 4 children Elizabeth McCullum (David), Douglas Chalgian (Susan), Annie Mahon (Paul) and Julie Laxton (Brian); her 12 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Anna Rose, Susan, Madeline, Jonathan, Hanna, Sara, James, Charles, Andrew, Adam, and John; and 4 of her siblings, Paul Hemenger, Tom Hemenger, Pat Hemenger and Elizabeth Hill. She was predeceased by her twin brother Richard Hemenger. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sally Chalgian Memorial Fund. ADAM LEE ZUNIGA SR., Age 30, of New Haven died Oct. 29, 1999. Mr. Zuniga was employed by the Meijer store in Chesterfield. He is survived by his wife, Karen; son, Adam Jr.; parents, Joseph and Dorothy Zuniga and Ethelyn Thomas, all of Port Huron; sisters, Connie Kelly, Rachelle and Jennifer Zunia, all of Port Huron; brothers, Joseph of Wisconsin and Steven and Christopher, both of Port Huron; grandmother, Doris Swoffer of Port Huron; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Services were held in All Saints Catholic Church, with the Rev. Dennis Nowinski officiating. Arrangements were made by Kammeraad Funeral Home, Memphis. Burial was in Mt. Hope cemetery, Port Huron. Memorials can be made to the family.

BERNICE WEAVER, Age 74, of Chesterfield died Nov. 1, 1999. Mrs. Weaver was a homemaker. She is survived by her daughters, Jaynell Patrick of New Baltimore, Carol Robson of Canada and Donna Stewart of Sterling Heights; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Weaver was predeceased by her husband Wallace. Services were held in Gendernalik Funeral Home, New Baltimore, with the Rev. Donald J. Emmert officiating. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
