Services are being held for Kenneth Gulbrandson, 63, of Watertown this Friday, Oct. 15, 2004 at 2 p.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Watertown. Visitation Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Trinity's Nylunda Chapel, with prayer service at 7:30. Further visitation Friday 1-2 p.m. at the church. Interment Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Kongsvinger Lutheran Cemetery, Donnelly, Minn.

Jessica Pouliot

Jessica Elizabeth Pouliot, infant daughter of Larry and Luann Pouliot of South Haven, died Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at the Buffalo Hospital.
In addition to her loving parents, Jessica is survived by sisters and brothers Brianna, Alysia, Rachel, Naomi, Joshua, Caleb, Sarah and Rebekah Pouliot; grandparents Anne Hyams of New Hope, Ruth and Carl Burgess of Maple Grove and Alfred Pouliot of St. Cloud.
Funeral services for Jessica Elizabeth Pouliot were held on Friday, October 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel St. Michael - Albertville Funeral Home. Mark Tiemann officiated at the funeral service.
Lorraine Wolff was the organist. Congregational hymns were "Safe In The Arms of Jesus" and "It Is Well With My Soul."
Graveside services were held on Saturday, October 9 at 11 a.m. at Sunset Cemetery.
The Peterson Chapel St. Michael - Albertville Funeral Home served the family.

Judith Bursch

Judith Ann Bursch, 60 of Greenfield died Sunday evening, October 10 at Fairview - University Hospital in Minneapolis.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 15 from 4-8 p.m. at the church. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Further visitation will be held at the church on Saturday morning, October 16, two hours prior to the service.
Funeral services for Judy (Mrs. Marvin) Bursch will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 16 at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenfield.
Private interment at Salem Lutheran Cemetery.
The Peterson Chapel St. Michael - Albertville Funeral Home served the family.

LaVern Holte

LaVern I. Holte, 86 of Buffalo died Sunday, October 10 at the Buffalo Hospital.
A visitation will be held at the church on Friday, October 15 from 12 noon until the time of service.
Funeral services for LaVern (Mrs. Harland) Holte will be held on Friday, October 15 at 2 p.m. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo.
Interment Lakeview Cemetery.
The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo served the family.

Gerald Ahlm

Gerald L. "Jerry" Ahlm, 76 of Buffalo died Saturday evening, October 9, 2004 at the Buffalo Hospital.
He was born on December 6, 1927 in Buffalo the son of Eldon "Pat" and Ina M. Mills Ahlm.
Jerry honorably served his country in the United States Army at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
On May 5, 1951 Gerald L. Ahlm and Jeanette I. Magnuson were joined in holy marriage at the Presbyterian Church in Maple Plain. God blessed their marriage with a son David.
Jerry was employed for thirty-five years at the Buffalo Post Office. Many of those years were spent as a rural letter carrier.
He was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church in Buffalo and formerly served twenty years as a volunteer fireman with the Buffalo Fire Department. Jerry also was a former Chatham Township Supervisor and belonged to the National Rural Letter Carriers Association.
Jerry enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, hunting, golfing, gardening, bowling and camping. He won the Buffalo Heights Golf Club's Championship in 1966.
Survived by loving wife Jeanette I. Ahlm; a son David (Andrea) Ahlm of Buffalo; grandchildren Jennifer Ahlm, Patrick Ahlm and Nicholas Ahlm; brothers and sisters Roger (Marlene) Ahlm of Maple Lake, Beverly (friend Robert Brevig) Wolfsteller of Fridley, Janet (Adrian) Luoma and Judith Miller all of Buffalo; a brother-in-law Warren (Helen) Magnuson of Delano; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by parents Eldon "Pat" and Ina M. Ahlm and by a brother Richard Ahlm.
Funeral services for Gerald "Jerry" Ahlm were held on Tuesday, October 12 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Buffalo. Pastor Ruth Ann Ramstad officiated.
Interment Pelican Lake Methodist Cemetery.
Friends called on Monday, October 11 from 4-8 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. A Prayer Service was held at 7:30 p.m.
Casket bearers were Patrick Ahlm, Nicholas Ahlm, Larry Ahlm, Doug Magnuson, Todd Yantes, Keith Wolfsteller and Jeff Hadley.
The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo served the family.

Clarence Donald Jensen

Mr. Clarence D. Jensen, age 89, of 50 Sunrise Drive, Kimball died Thursday, February 20, 2003 due to injuries received in a car accident in Litchfield.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2003 at Ostmark Lutheran Church, Forest City Township, Meeker County with Rev. Marion Rova officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball and one hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday at the church. There will be a prayer service 7:30 pm Monday at the funeral chapel.
Clarence Donald Jensen was born October 13, 1913 in Kingston Township, Meeker County to Chris and Marie (Abrahamson) Jensen. He married Viola Hokkala January 12, 1945. Clarence was a veteran of the US Army serving his Country during WW II. He lived in the Kimball area all his life where he farmed until retiring in 1984. From 1984 -2002 Clarence and Viola lived on Lake Francis, South Haven. He was a member of Ostmark Lutheran Church and Johnson Kelly Post # 483 of Kingston. He loved his family, enjoyed horses, hunting, and fishing.
Clarence is survived by sons, Bryan (Jean) of Madera, CA, Roger (Sandra) of Hamel; sisters, Dorothy Strom of Bloomington, Hazel Brown of Minneapolis; 7 grandchildren; and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers; one sister; son, Alan; daughter, Sharon Robinet; and grandson, Roger.
The organist for the funeral will be Vicki Toutges.
Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.

Laura Dehmer

Laura T. Dehmer, 91 of St. Michael was born to eternal life on Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at the Monticello - Big Lake Community Nursing Home.
She was born on August 17, 1913 in St. Michael the daughter of George and Anna "Annie" Hengels Eicher.
On May 28, 1935 Laura T. Eicher and Rudolph W. "Rudy" Dehmer were joined in holy marriage at the Church of St. Michael in St. Michael. God blessed their marriage with six children.
Mr. and Mrs. Dehmer engaged in farming for many years.
She was a lifelong, faithful member of the Church of St. Michael. Laura also belonged to the St. Mary Society, Christian Mothers and Catholic Aid.
Loving mother of Fran (Jan) Dehmer, Mary Ann (Al) Gindele, Tom (Judy) Dehmer, Jerry (Bitsy) Dehmer and John (Julie) Dehmer all of St. Michael and Sister Joanne "Bonnie" Dehmer, SSND of St. Paul; loving grandmother of twenty seven grandchildren and fifty five great grandchildren. Further survived by a brother Lambert (Irene) Eicher of Albertville; a sister-in-law Magdalen Dehmer of Monticello; many other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband Rudolph W. "Rudy" Dehmer in 1986; parents George and Anna "Annie" Eicher and a sister Valencia A. Eicher in 2000; two infant grandchildren and a great grandchild.
A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial for Laura Dehmer was held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8 at the Church of St. Michael in St. Michael. Concelebrants were Father Michael Becker and Father Leonard Siebenaler.
Mass servers were Eric Lenneman, Sarah Lenneman, Alyssa Barthel and Johnny Weber.
Friends called at the church from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 7. A Christian Mothers' Rosary was recited at 3:30 p.m. and a Prayer Service was held at 7 p.m.
Honorary casket bearers were Joel Gindele, Paul Gindele, Dean Dehmer, Billy Dehmer, Randy Dehmer, Nick Dehmer, Peter Dehmer and Tom Gindele.
Casket bearers were Rudy Dehmer, Greg Gindele, Matt Dehmer, Dan Dehmer, Brian Dehmer and Eric Dehmer.
The Peterson Chapel St. Michael - Albertville Funeral Home served the family.

Johanna Johnston

Johanna K. Johnston passed away October 3, 2004 at Methodist Hospital, St. Louis Park, Minn. at the age of 92 years, 6 months and 5 days.
She was born in Maple Lake March 28, 1912 to Henry and Jennie Dykhuizen.
Johanna lived in Annandale and in 1959 moved to Mpls. living with daughters Marlys and Elaine. She worked at Red Owl for a number of years. She was a member of Central Free Church and loved little children, teaching the Sunday School class for the little ones. She became known as Grandma Jo to all.
Funeral services were held at First Evangelical Free Church, 5150 Chicago Ave. South, Mpls. at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 6. Officiating clergy were Rev. Robert C. Dillon, Chaplain Curt Johnson and Rev. Timothy A. Johnson. Organist was Rick Olson. Soloist Nancy Swan sang Johanna's favorite "Blessed Assurance" and "Under His Wings."
She is survived by son Marvin (Leona) Johnston; daughter Darlene (Allen) Tunberg; six grandchildren Glenn (Rose) Johnston, Cindy (Joe) Loss, Connie Johnston, Cathy Johnston, Heidi Tunberg and Lisa (Alan) Henderson; seven great grandchildren Matthew Johnston, Denise Johnston, Ashley Drigans, Jacob, Jeanna, Alyssa and Kally Henderson; sister Christina Rozenberg; sister-in-law Rosalie Dykhuizen; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Johanna was preceded in death by daughters Marlys, February 17, 1983; Elaine, January 2, 2000; parents Henry and Jennie Dykhuizen; brothers Sam, Albert, Henry and Gerrit; sister Henrietta Klemz.
Casketbearers were Dale Swan, John Stacknik, James Dube, Timothy Johnson, Merrill Hansen and Benjamin Sawatsky.
Interment was at Lakewood Cemetery in Mpls.
Albin Chapel of Eden Prairie served the family.

Judith Knodel

Judith Ann Knodel (Pouliot), 56, died on Oct. 5 after living with terminal cancer for four years and 9 months.
Judy is preceded in death by her father Lloyd E. Pouliot and daughters Michelle Lauren Knodel and Shannon Lee Knodel. Survived by her mother Lorraine Pouliot; daughter Andrea Rae Knodel; son Adam J. Knodel; sisters Kathy Pouliot, Eileen Pouliot, Joyce Engman and fiance Mark Lewis; Laverne (Tom) Gazelka; brothers Dennis (Deb) Pouliot, Leon (Sandy) Pouliot; three nieces; eight nephews; two special friends Garry Zachmann and Tim Schram. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many wonderful friends.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on Sat., Oct. 9 at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 2000 County Road 10, Corcoran, Minn. Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. Fri. at Iten Funeral Home, Delano with a 7 p.m. prayer service. Visitation continued on Sat. at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. A private family interment will be held at a later date. A memorial service will be held in Winona, Minn. also at a later date. Notice will be available in the Winona Daily News.
The family requests donations made in lieu of flowers to the Judy Knodel's Kids Kancer Fund, P.O. Box 451, Winona, MN 55987, a foundation assisting children living with cancer.
