Mark Seth

Mark Seth, born July 5, 1952 in Albion Center in Wright County, died Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at the age of 52, in his home in Watertown. Married to Sheila (Bjork) Seth.
Favorite pastimes were playing cribbage with all who dared, especially John Holland; and riding his Harley with friends, especially Tom Condon and his son-in-law Nathan Thompson.
Preceded in death by his father Donald Seth; stepfather Tom Rohloff; father-in-law Philmore Bjork and mother-in-law Evelyn Bjork; nephews Henry Brecht and Raymond Seth.
Survived by wife Sheila (Bjork) Seth; daughter Sheri Thompson; son-in-law Nathan Thompson; daughter Charlotte Seth; grandchildren Mitchell Markgraf and Aubrie Thompson; mother Jeannett Rohloff; brothers Ronald and Deb Seth, Jake and Nancy Seth, Jim and Debbie Seth; sister Mary Alice and Rick Zettlmayer; brothers Dale Seth and Bruce Seth; 33 nieces and nephews and lots of friends.
Memorial services were held on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at 12 noon at the Watertown Evangelical Free Church in Watertown. Gathering of family and friends took place from 11 to 12 at the church. Reverend Paul Kling officiated at the services. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.

Ferdinand Berg

Ferdinand Ellsworth Berg was born August 5, 1907 in Cokato to Henry and Esther (Nelson) Berg. He grew up on the farm south of Cokato in the Rice Lake area. Ferdinand went to school first at South Grass Lake then on to graduate from Cokato High School with the class of 1924. Ferdinand was the salutatorian of his graduating class.
Following graduation, Ferdinand began a lifelong career in farming. During this time he also sold seed corn and insurance. Ferdinand was married to Mavis Johnson on June 19, 1943 at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in St. Paul. Ferdinand was a very active member of his church, the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Cokato.
Ferdinand passed away on February 8, 2005 at the Park View Nursing Home in Buffalo where he had been a resident for the last 11 years. He had reached the age of 97 years, 6 months and 4 days.
He is survived by his sons, Paul, Henry (Joyce), Stan (Nancy), Jeffrey and Kevin; grandchildren, Jonathan (Nicole) Berg, Stephanie (Christopher) Koivisto, Christopher Berg and Michelle Lorentz; great grandchildren, Samuel, Joseph and Jackson Berg and Renee and Zachariah Koivisto.
Ferdinand was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Esther; wife, Mavis; sons, Henry Cornell and Julian; granddaughter Whitney and brother Henry Wilford.
Services were held Friday, February 11 at the Evangelical Lutheran Church. Clergy: Rev. David Sorensen. Music by Karen Anderson and Nicole Berg.
Casket bearers were Christopher Berg, Henry Berg, Stan Berg, Jeff Berg, Kevin Berg and Jonathan Berg.
Interment at Cokato City Cemetery.

Leo Stokes

Leo Stokes, 82, of Monticello passed away last Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at the VA Hospital in St. Cloud. Funeral services are being held this Saturday, March 5, 10:30 a.m., at the Riverside Alliance Church in Monticello. Visitation Friday, 4-8 p.m., at the Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Chapel, with Legion and VFW service at 7.

Leah Loberg

Leah L. Loberg, 95 year old resident of Buffalo, died Thursday, February 24th at Providence Place Nursing Home in Minneapolis, where she resided after a stroke in the fall of 2001.
A Memorial Service for Leah L. Loberg will be held March 19, 2005 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Buffalo.
Leah Louise Schmidt was born on May 15, 1909 in Buffalo Township, Wright County, Minnesota to the late Reinhold & Katherine (Seeger) Schmidt. She grew up on a farm near Immanuel Lutheran Church, which she also attended. She graduated from Buffalo High School. Following her schooling, she moved to Minneapolis where she worked as a hostess in the Dayton's restaurant.
She was united in marriage to Orville E. Loberg on May 8, 1937 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. The couple made their home in Duluth. When Orville went to the Aleutian Islands to work on the war ships, Leah moved to Minneapolis to live with his parents.
Following his return, they moved to Buffalo where Leah was a homemaker until Orville's death in 1959. She then went to work as a bookkeeper at Wright Hennepin Coop from which she retired.
She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting (she made baby clothes for all the relatives), gardening, golf, the outdoors (especially the North Shore) and traveling.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and very active in the Ladies Aid at church. She was also active in a sewing club (that existed from the mid 40's until the 90's), a card club and was especially interested and involved with her family.
Survivors include her children, Rodger (Button) Loberg of Las Vegas, NV and Judith (Lennard) Kragness of Minneapolis; grandchildren, Richelle (Steve) Brenner and Kari (Dan) Jones; great-grandchildren, John Brenner, Sara Brenner, Aaron Jones and Kelsey Jones; brother-in-law, Floyd Weese of Buffalo; step-grandchildren Martin (Pam) Kragness, Nic Kragness, Jessica (Hays) Atkins & Emily Kragness; step-great-grandchildren, Summer Atkins and Jackson Atkins and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 3 sisters, Margaret Schmidt, Dena Weese & Minnie Gutknecht and 2 brothers, Harold & John Schmidt.
The Peterson Chapel of Buffalo served the family.

Adeline Latour

Adeline H. Latour, 82 of Annandale died Monday, February 28, 2005 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 4 at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Father Mark Huberty officiating. Burial will follow in St. Timothy's Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. There will be a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Adeline Helen Latour was born September 18, 1922 in Annandale to Arthur J. and Elizabeth A. (Kalway) Purcell. She married Francis H. Latour in November of 1943 and the couple later divorced. She lived all her life in Corinna Township, Wright County, and worked for Wright - Hennepin Electric Cooperative in Maple Lake for 40 years before retiring in 1987. She was a member of St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Maple Lake and a life member of the Maple Lake VFW Auxiliary Post #7664. Adeline enjoyed gardening, yard work, cards, cribbage and dice.
Adeline is survived by daughters Gen Latour Huss of Ramsey, NJ and Adele Leary and husband, Bob Ahonen of Maple Lake; brother Earl (Helen) Purcell of Annandale; twin sister Angeline (Harry) Westman of Fridley; grandchildren Victoria Huss, Rose LeDuc, Andy, Pat and Tim Leary, Tara Lasley, Shannon Leary, Cory and Cami Ahonen and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister Genevieve.
Pallbearers will be Ed LeDuc, Andrew Leary, John Waldrop, Larry and Bob Purcell and Jim Munstenteiger. Music for the funeral provided by St. Timothy's Resurrection Choir.

Keith Heidelberger

Keith William Heidelberger, 23 of Monticello died Sunday, February 27, 2005 from injuries he received in an auto accident. Keith was the son of Bonnie and Craig Heidelberger of Monticello.
A visitation was held on Tuesday, March 1 from 4-8 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel St. Michael - Albertville Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Keith Heidelberger were held on Wednesday, March 2 at 11 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Otsego.

Mary Elizabeth Violett

Mary Elizabeth Violett, loving mom, grandma, sister and friend, age 58 passed away Thursday, February 24, 2005 at her home in St. Michael after a 4-1/2 year courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on August 22, 1946 in Spokane, Washington the daughter of Edward and Muriel Gulbranson Knapp.
Mary graduated from Alexandria High School and later attended the University of Minnesota.
She was formerly employed as a sales representative at the Bemis Company.
Mary was a past president of the Minnesota United Snowmobiler's Association (Mn/USA) and Minnesota Women on Snow. She also served as a past Minnesota Representative at the International Snowmobile Congress.
She was one of a kind with a generous heart. Throughout her illness she continued to live life to the fullest. Her warm smile and wonderful knack for making people laugh will be greatly missed.
Survived by a loving daughter Jenny (Steve) Robeck of St. Michael; grandson Jake Robeck; a brother Emil (Carol) Knapp of Sioux Falls; nephews Pete (Kimberly) Knapp and Sam (Alice) Knapp; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents Edward and Muriel Knapp and a brother Ryan Knapp.
Funeral services for Mary Violett were held on Monday, February 28 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hanover. Pastor Marlo Miller officiated and interment followed at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
Colleen Johnson was the organist for the funeral service. Congregational hymns were "Amazing Grace" and "Lord of All Hopefulness."
Friends called on Sunday, February 27 from 2-6 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel St. Michael - Albertville Funeral Home.
Casket bearers were Ron Wrolson, Art Isackson, Jon "Skip" Peterson, Scott Dillingham, Pete Knapp and Ken Robeck.
The Peterson Chapel St. Michael - Albertville Funeral Home served the family.

Leo Salonek

Leo Salonek, 76 of Montrose died on Monday, February 28, 2005 at his home in Woodland Township. He was born February 8, 1929 to Theodore and Theresa (Lyrek) Salonek.
Leo was a lifelong farmer in Woodland Township.
He was preceded in death by his son Stephen and his parents Theodore and Theresa.
Leo is survived by his wife Marge of 53 years; sons Jeffrey and Sharee Salonek, Tim and Patty Salonek and daughter Carrie and Jim Eischens; 8 grandchildren - Shawn and Barbara Gavin, Angela Salonek, Diana Wreisner, Steven and Jody Salonek, Phillip Salonek, Terry Eischens, Randy Eischens, and Stephanie and Carl Duncan; 3 great grandchildren - Logan Larson, Madison Salonek and Dempsey Duncan; brothers Paul and Elaine Salonek, Urban and Rose Salonek, Ted and Jean Salonek; sisters Ann and George Lambrecht and Donna and Don Bloom.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2005 at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Iten's Watertown Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Saturday at the church from 9 to 10 a.m.

Thomas Christopher

Thomas James Christopher, 47 of St. Michael died Sunday, February 27, 2005 at his residence.
A visitation was held on Wednesday evening, March 2 from 7-9 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel St. Michael - Albertville Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Thomas Christopher will be held on Thursday, March 3 at 11 a.m. at Parker's Lake Baptist Church, 14720 County Road #6 in Plymouth.
Interment will follow at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Arrangements by the Peterson Chapel St. Michael - Albertville Funeral Home.

Earl Johnson

Earl D. Johnson, 79 of Buffalo and formerly of Fridley and Sierra Vista, Arizona, passed away at North Memorial Medical Center on February 22, 2005 following a long battle with cancer. Earl returned to Minnesota in October of 2004.
Earl was preceded in death by his beloved wife Marjorie J. Johnson who passed away in September of 2002 in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Also preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Alice Johnson and a sister Ruthie.
Survived by a brother Phillip Johnson; loving sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for both Earl and Marjorie Johnson was held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Friday, February 25 at 1:45 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to North Memorial's Hospice Program.
"Uncle Earl we'll always remember your twinkling eyes and bright smile."
The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo served the family.
