Keith Merryman
Keith Ivan Merryman, 80 of Buffalo and formerly of Maple Lake and Iowa died Saturday, February 19, 2005 at the Buffalo Hospital.
He was born on May 6, 1924 in Milford, Iowa the son of Ivan and Ferrol Holcomb Merryman.
Keith honorably served his country during W.W. II in the United States Army in the Pacific Theater.
On November 15, 1969 Keith I. Merryman and Alyce E. Giebenhain were joined in holy marriage at the United Methodist Church in Osseo.
He was formerly employed as a mechanic at Downtown Chevrolet for thirty-four years.
Keith enjoyed fishing, traveling, working on his wood piles and spending time with family and friends. He loved to make people laugh.
He was a faithful member of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Buffalo and belonged to its Retired Friends. He also formerly served as the church custodian.
Survived by wife of thirty-five years Alyce Giebenhain Merryman; children Duane (Viola) Merryman, Diane (Jim) Retzloff, Keith R. (Debbie) Merryman, Linda (David) Carmen and Kim (Gina) Merryman and all of their families; stepchildren Ronald (Candy) Giebenhain, Roxann Lewis, Renee (Henning) Brennecke, Richard (Pat) Giebenhain and Rachelle (Brian) Berg and all of their families; also survived by a brother David; a sister Eleanore Dorn; many other loving relatives and friends and his beloved dog "Mitzi."
Preceded in death by his parents Ivan and Ferrol, six brothers and sisters.
Funeral service for Keith Merryman were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 23 at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Buffalo. Brett Schmidt and Keith R. Merryman officiated. Private interment at Forest Hill Cemetery in Anoka.
Friends called on Tuesday, February 22 at the church from 5-8 p.m. A prayer service and time of praise was held at 7 p.m.
Casket bearers were Ryan Merryman, Kevin Merryman, Larry Giebenhain, Gerry Giebenhain, Al Olson, Richard Hyman and Howard Hommes.
Memorials are preferred to the Evangelical Covenant Church in Buffalo or to World Relief.
The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo served the family.
LeRoy Hausladen
LeRoy F. Hausladen, 81 of Waconia and formerly of Watertown and Winsted died Monday, February 21, 2005 at the Elim Nursing Home.
He was born on November 19, 1923 in Waverly the son of John and Ida Domras Hausladen.
On July 16, 1939 LeRoy was confirmed in the Christian faith at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Montrose by Pastor Alvin Leerssen.
LeRoy honorably served his country in the United States Army during W.W. II.
On July 23, 1947 LeRoy F. Hausladen and Evelyn Engelke were joined in holy marriage at the Presbyterian Church in Howard Lake.
LeRoy was formerly employed as an auto mechanic in both Delano and Winsted. He also worked at Minnetonka Boat Works and later at Millerbernd Manufacturing for thirty-two years.
He was a faithful member of the Oster Covenant Church and served as a Deacon and an usher. LeRoy was a former member of the American Legion.
Survived by his beloved wife Evelyn Hausladen; a twin brother Leon Hausladen of Shakopee; a brother and sisters - Erv (Bev) Hausladen of Waverly, Joan (Darrell) Heuer of Brainerd, Dolores (Bob) Westergreen of Golden Valley and Irma Campinose of Chicago; a brother-in-law Virgil (Luella) Engelke of St. Louis Park; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents John and Ida Hausladen; brothers Gilbert and Paul Hausladen and by his stepmother Minnie Hausladen.
Funeral services for LeRoy Hausladen were held on Thursday, February 24 at 2 p.m. at the Oster Covenant Church. Reverend Robert Ramphal and Chaplain Bob Haskin officiated. Interment followed at Oster Covenant Cemetery.
Ruth Deidrick was the organist for the funeral service. Loree Dobratz was the soloist and she sang LeRoy's favorite song "Supper Time" and other favorites by David Allen.
Friends called at the church on Thursday, February 24 from noon until the time of the funeral service.
Casket bearers were Harry Johnson, Calvin Deidrick, John Hausladen, Larry Holland, Ken Hausladen and David Allen.

Randall "Randy" Siewert
Randall G. "Randy" Siewert, 37 of St. Michael and formerly of Monticello, died Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at Fairview - University Medical Center in Minneapolis.
He was born on September 30, 1967 in Robbinsdale, the son of Walter G. "Bud" and Kay J. Richardson Siewert.
Randy graduated from Monticello High School in 1986.
He was formerly employed as a production worker at the Walter G. Anderson Company.
Survived by his loving mother Kay J. Siewert of St. Michael; sisters Tamra Siewert of Plymouth and Sandra (Martin) Zahler of St. Michael; a niece and nephew Katrina and Andrew Zahler; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his father Walter G. "Bud" Siewert in 1992; paternal grandparents Walter and Catherine Siewert and maternal grandparents Eugene "Tom" and Louise Richardson.
Funeral services for Randy Siewert were held at 4 p.m. Saturday, February 27 at the Peterson Chapel St. Michael - Albertville Funeral Home. Speakers were Joe Zahler and Kelly Paradais. Organist for the funeral service was Breonna Zahler and the vocalist was Katrina Zahler.

Carol Hjelmeland
Carol Jean Hjelmeland, 57 of Buffalo died Sunday, February 27, 2005 at the Buffalo Hospital.
She was born on May 15, 1947 in Watertown, the daughter of Anthony and Catherine Roth Murphy.
Carol graduated from Watertown High School in 1965 and later graduated from St. Cloud State Teachers College.
On June 13, 1970, Carol Jean Murphy and Steven Odvar Hjelmeland were joined in holy marriage at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown. God blessed their marriage with two children Shawn and Stefanie.
She taught second grade in Buffalo School District 877 for six years prior to becoming a homemaker and raising her two lovely children.
Through the years Carol was involved with the Wright County Republican Party.
She loved all kinds of flowers, especially those with beautiful fragrances. Carol also enjoyed collecting and refinishing antiques.
Carol was a faithful member of the Church of St. Francis in Buffalo.
Survived by her loving husband Steven Odvar Hjelmeland; two children Shawn Hjelmeland of Cottage Grove and Stefanie Hjelmeland of Fridley; her mother Catherine Murphy of Watertown; brothers and a sister - Anthony (Wilma) Murphy of Pasadena, Calif., Michael (Marlene) Murphy of Montrose and Mary Ann (Todd) Wandersee of Watertown; her father-in-law Odvar (Velda) Hjelmeland of Cokato; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her father Anthony Murphy, mother-in-law Lois Knutson Hjelmeland and by her loving friend Linnea Mills.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Carol Hjelmeland will be held on Friday, March 4 at 4 p.m. at the Church of St. Francis in Buffalo. Father Tom Rayar will be the Celebrant.
Friends may call on Thursday, March 3 from 4-9 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Interment Monday, March 7 at 12 noon at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Kylee Flores
Kylee Rose Flores, born June 29, 2004, tragically left this world on February 23, 2005.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather Charles Babatz.
Kylee is survived by loving parents Guadalupe Flores II and Tanya Milless; brothers and sisters Jaymon, Allana, Collin and Sierra; grandparents Carrie Hardy, Kathy Babatz and Guadalupe Flores I; maternal great grandfather Joseph Babatz; paternal great grandmother Irene Groven; five aunts; two uncles; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 26 at 1 p.m. at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano. Visitation was held on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment was in St. Joseph's cemetery in Delano. James Gilland Jr. conducted the services.

Lorraine Plotnik
Lorraine H. Plotnik, 81 of Delano died on Saturday, February 26, 2005 at the Delano Health Care Center in Delano. She was born March 7, 1923 to Bertek and Matilda (Gonsior) Baldy in Donnelly, Minnesota.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband George; son Steve and brothers Tony and Leo Baldy.
She is survived by her children - sons Tom and Marcia Plotnik, Mike and Molly Plotnik and Tim Plotnik; daughters Patricia and William Earp and Cynthia and Steven Compton; seven grandchildren Megan and Mark Kuzinski, Ryan Plotnik, Andrew Earp, Mandi and Patrick Carlson, Travis Plotnik, Crystal Compton and Nicholas Compton; great grandson Austin Carlson; brother George Baldy and sisters Regina Rosch, Gertrude Fish, Dolores and Bill Griffin and LaVern and Don Ross; sisters-in-law Jean Baldy, Dorothy LePage and Flora Plotnik.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 2 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delano. Visitation was held on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano. Visitation continued on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Reverend Michael Miller officiated at the Mass, with music by the Resurrection Choir. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery in Delano.
Casket bearers were Ryan Plotnik, Travis Plotnik, Craig Baldy, Crystal Compton, Nicholas Compton and Patrick Carlson.

Lorraine Bentz
Lorraine M. Bentz, 75 of Delano died on Sunday, February 27, 2005 at the Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minn. She was born October 3, 1929 to Albert and Lillian (Meyer) Lemmerman in Watertown, Minn.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband Raymond H. Bentz. She is survived by her daughters Carol and Dave Ketcham, Joyce and Ron Minard, Diane and Jan Pierce and Donna Bentz; brothers Marvin and Connie Lemmerman and Loren and Sharon Lemmerman; 9 grandchildren Peter and Daniel Ketcham, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Matthew, Michelle and William Wefel, Sara and Jennifer Pierce, and many other relatives.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, March 5 at 2 p.m. at the Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Delano. Gathering time will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church prior to the services on Saturday. Reverend Paul Marggraf will officiate with music provided by Connie Lemmerman, organist with congregational singing. Interment will be in the West Mt. Olive Cemetery in Delano.
