Richard Oswald Schabel

Richard O. Schabel, age 77, of St. Augusta died Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014 at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Luxemburg with Fr. Roger Thoennes as the Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday and 9:30-10:15 a.m. Saturday in Mary Hall of St. Wendelin’s in Luxemburg. A vigil service will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday at Mary Hall. Memorials are preferred to St. Wendelins’s School.
Richard Oswald Schabel was born May 28, 1937 at the family farm in St. Augusta Township to Leonard and Margaret (Brambrink) Schabel. He served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves. He owned and operated the family farm all his life. Rich enjoyed working the farm, horseback riding and keeping up with the families of his friends and neighbors.
He is survived by his sisters and brothers Janet (Leon) Kieke of Luxemburg, Lawrence (Rose) Schabel of Carlisle, Karen (John) Murphy of Madison Lake, Ronald (Debbie) Schabel of Clearwater and Margie (Barry) Monson of Maple Lake; sister-in-law Jean Schabel of South Haven; close friends Mark (Stacy) Notch of Luxemburg and John (Marla) Honer of Rockville, Tom (Connie) Heid of New Prague; 19 nieces and nephews and 42 great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Roland and Roger Schabel; brother-in-law Pat Willette; cousin Ervin Schabel; and life long friends John Hayenga and Henry Kunkel.
The pallbearers will be Mark Notch, John, Josh and Jacob Honer, Paul Hayenga and Steve Voigt. The honorary pallbearers will be Rudy, Nolan and Kortney Notch and Ben Schabel. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Kimball.

Eileen Amanda Frieler

Eileen A. Frieler, age 82, of Annandale died Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the Annandale Care Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2014 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church with Fr. George Kallumkalkudy as the Celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Monday, at the church. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
Eileen Amanda Frieler was born May 25, 1932 at the family farm in New Munich to Herman and Elizabeth (Humbert) Sand. She grew up and attended school in New Munich. On August 29, 1951, she was united in marriage to Francis Joseph Frieler at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich. Over the years, Eileen worked at Freeman’s Variety Store, Kaz Hardware, McGlynn’s Bakery and the Marketplace. She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, where she served on the lunch committee and was a Eucharistic Minister. Eileen enjoyed quilting, bowling, playing cards and playing dice.
She is survived by her daughters Diane Birkholz & her significant other Gary Klugow of Waverly and Joyce Bradner of Milaca; sons, Nic & his wife Marj of Glencoe, Joe & his wife Julie of Annandale, Ron and his significant other Yolanda Ortiz of Brooklyn Park and Jon & his wife Tiffany of Annandale; sister Rose Peopping of Melrose; brothers Eddy Sand of Greenwald, Wally Sand of New Munich and Paul Sand & his wife Dorine of Alexandria; sister-in-law Theresa Sand of Cold Spring; thirteen grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Herman and Elizabeth Sand; husband Francis Frieler; brother Sylvester Sand; and sister Marie Thull.
The urn bearer will be Keith Frieler. Honorary urn bearers will be Andy, Matt and Jody Frieler and Jazz Birkholz. St. Ignatius Music Ministry will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.

Allan LeRoy Orson

Allan LeRoy Orson, age 80, of Annandale passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Lake Ridge Oasis, Buffalo.
Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 23, 2014 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Annandale with Rev. Dave Nelson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Benson City Cemetery with military honors.
Allan was born October 5, 1934 in Kandiyohi County to Henry and Laura (Hanson) Orson. He attended Kindergarten through 11th grade in Paynesville, graduating in 1952 from New London. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1953 serving 2 1/2 years in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1956. Allan married Beverly Sather on Nov. 23, 1957 at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Benson. To this union, two children were born. Al was an electrician working in Tyler, Grove City, Litchfield, Paynesville and Monticello. He retired in 1996 and moved to the Twin Cities where they managed condos. In 2008 they moved to Annandale to the Cottages, where they were caretakers and Al did all the maintenance. He also was custodian for 4 years at St. John's Lutheran Church in Annandale. On July 31st he suffered a massive stroke which eventually took his life. Al enjoyed woodworking, jigsaw puzzles, dancing and listening to music, attending Thursday burger nights with friends, and traveling to Branson. Nothing was treasured more than the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Bev of Annandale; son, Russ (Carla) of Maple Lake; daughter, Bobbi (Roger) Mackedanz of Ham Lake; 4 grandchildren, Kate (Paul) Monnens, Steve (Brittany) Orson, Tyler and Adam Mackedanz; 3 great-grandchildren, Natalie, Nolan and Leo Monnens; brother, Glen of Florida; sister, Beverly (Bruce) Whiting of Utah; and many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Allan was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Laura Orson and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Selmer and Leone Sather.
Doug Sather and Kris Jones will serve as urnbearers. Honorary urnbearers will be Bev Chollett, Dan and Sue Nelson, Lonnie and Pat Baack, Gary and Beryl Geisinger, Dave and Mary Holmgren, John and Diane Swanson, Jim and Jean Noland, Mary Ann Humola, and all the people who were on the 2010 bus trip to Branson. Rev. Dave Nelson and Orma Lou Jacobsma will provide music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.

William Paul Roth

William P. Roth, age 84, of Annandale died Monday, July 8, 2013 at his home on Lake John.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2013 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with Fr. Steven Hoffman officiating. Interment will be at St. Ignatius Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at St. Ignatius Catholic Church from 4-7 p.m. Thursday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday. There will be a prayer service 6:45 p.m. Thursday. Memorials are preferred to the Sisters of the Holy Cross.
William P. Roth was born March 4, 1929 at Newton, Iowa to Emil and Anna (Manke) Roth. Bill was a self-made man who loved his family. At an early age he left home to work on area farms; later he worked at a cheese factory and then sold, delivered & installed appliances including DeLaval Milking Machines. He married Jeanne McManimon on July 18, 1949 in Rushford and she preceded him in death on September 11, 2012. From 1957-2007 Bill owned and operated Roth Insurance Agency in Annandale. Bill was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church & Annandale Chamber of Commerce, was a charter member & past president of the Annandale Lions Club, and was a member & past president of the Minnesota Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers. He enjoyed golf, baseball, gardening, traveling, joke telling, and especially time spent with his family.
Bill is survived by his five children: Kathy & Mike Jasper of Grand Rapids, Greg & Audrey Roth of Annandale, Suzanne & Pat McArdle of Forest Lake, Gretchen & John Kittok of Annandale, Jennifer Roth of Annandale; 19 grandchildren Molly Jasper (Aran Dahl), Matt (Katie) Jasper, Anna Roth, Heather (Tim) Jurek, Tami (Chris) Denny, Zach Roth, David, Danny & Meghan Roth, Katie & Michael McArdle, Bridget (Bill) Guck, Brennan, Peter & Anne Kittok, Meghan, Molly, Hannah & Ryan Ashwill; 4 great grandchildren Jasper Dahl, Allyson, Brady & William Jurek, and sisters Sr. Frieda Roth of the Sisters of the Holy Cross, Margaret Tewari of Des Plaines, IL, Rosie Topoluk of Minneapolis, and Katherine Hoaglund of Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by his wife Jeanne, son David, and brothers Hannes & Emil.
The urn bearer will be Greg Roth and the music for the service will be provided by the St. Ignatius Music Ministry. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.

Lowell Herbert Romann

Lowell H. Romann, age 85, of Annandale died Monday, July 1, 2013 at his home surrounded by family.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Funeral Services held at 12 noon on Friday, July 5, 2013 at the Annandale Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Dennis Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Annandale.
Lowell Herbert Romann was born July 30th, 1927 to Herbert and Martha (Schmidt) Romann in Perham. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1945-1947. On March 7th, 1953 in Iowa he was united in marriage to Geraldine Schwartz. Lowell worked at H.A. Gas Spring Company in Minneapolis for 27 years. In 1977 Lowell and Gerry moved to Maple Lake where they continued a commercial cleaning business and hobby farm. They moved to Annandale in 1987 where Lowell enjoyed helping his son Russ with his lawn service. Lowell liked to hunt, fish, and spend time with his large family.
Lowell is survived by his wife of 60 years Gerry of Annandale; children Tyrone (Shirley) Cory of San Jose, CA, Gardel Cory of San Jose, CA, Lauretta (Richard) Hefley of Merritt Island, FL, Robert Romann of Prior Lake, Nancy Romann (fiancé Scott Seemann) of Crystal, Christine (Daniel) Fouquette of Maple Lake, Russell Romann, Gail Klinkner (Kevin Robasse) and Teri (Ronald) Berry all of Annandale; 19 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. His sister LaVern Dale preceded him in death.
Pallbearers will be Brandon & Blake Romann, Paul & Brian Fouquette, Justin Pallies, Michael Berry, Eric Hefley, Bobby Klinkner, and Raymond Schwartz. Donna Marie (Oberpriller) Jarvi

Donna M. Jarvi, age 79, of Annandale died Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the Buffalo Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2013 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with her nephew Fr. Greg Paffel officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, French Lake Township, Wright County. Visitation will be at the church from 4-7 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday with a prayer service held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
Donna Marie Jarvi was born June 1, 1934 in St. Paul to Albert and Doris (Lake) Oberpriller. She married Donald Jarvi on November 5, 1955 in Cokato and he preceded her in death on August 14, 2000. She was a homemaker and cooked at the Annandale Care Center from 1989-2008. Donna was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church & Council of Catholic Women and a former member of the French Lake Sunshine Club. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling especially to the casino, and time spent with her family.
She is survived by children Curt (Julie) Jarvi of Becker, Gary (Barbara) Jarvi of Annandale, Mary Johnson of Annandale, daughter in law Marge Jarvi of Winter Haven, FL, 8 grandchildren Corinna, Aaron, Veronica, Jessica, Lisa, Todd, Kelsey & Wyatt, and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Willard Jarvi, her second husband Donald Jarvi, sons Steven & Willard Jarvi, grandson Curtis Presley, brothers Jack, Jerome, Robert & Joseph Oberpriller, and sister Ruth Paffel.
The pallbearers will be Wyatt Johnson, Tim LaFave, Jesse Hatcher, Lisa Hatcher, Kevin Horivenski and Scott Cole. The music for the service will be provided by St. Ignatius Music Ministry and the arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.

Elsie Elizabeth (Scheeler) Pope

Elsie E. Pope, age 92, of Mendota Heights formerly of Kimball died Monday, June 10, 2013 at United Hospital, St. Paul.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 17, 2013 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Kimball with Fr. Tom Olson officiating. Burial will follow at St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery.
Elsie Elizabeth Pope was born November 2, 1920 at Pearl Lake to Joseph and Margaret (Bichler) Scheeler. She married Daniel R. Pope on October 26, 1946 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Pearl Lake and he preceded her in death on October 22, 2000. She was a homemaker and personal health care provider. She lived in the Kimball area her lifetime until she began living with her daughter Elsa 12 years ago. She was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church and Waite Park American Legion Post 428 Auxiliary. She enjoyed nature, gardening, crocheting, puzzles, and her family especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her four children Dana (Jim) Thul of Princeton, Elsa Pope of Mendota Heights, Ross (Deborah) Pope of Maple Grove, Dan (Jody) Pope of Kimball, four grandchildren Mande Thul, Elisia Pope, Jon Pope, Matthew Pope, sisters & brothers Marie Pope of St. Cloud, Margaret Grams of St. Cloud, Al Scheeler of Kimball, Laura (Wheeler) Pope of St. Cloud, Sally (Harry) Smoley of St. Cloud, Clarence (Gertie) Scheeler of Kimball, and Ray (Esther) Scheeler of St. Cloud. She was preceded in death by her husband, infant grandson Todd Adam Pope, sisters Alvina Knott & Regina Krippner, and brother Jerome Scheeler.
The pallbearers will be Mande Thul, Jon & Matt Pope, Dale Krippner, Alice Scheeler and Laurie Stock. Honorary pallbearers will be Elisia and Gale Pope. The music for the service will be provided by St. Anne’s Choir and Frosty Schiefelbein, organist. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.

Arnold August King

Arnold A. King, age 85, of South Haven, formerly of Corcoran, died Friday, June 21, 2013 at Quiet Oaks Hospice.
Funeral Services will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at St. Johnß??s Lutheran Church, Kimball with Rev. Victor Dorn officiating. Burial will follow at the Kimball Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to the cancer research organization of the donorß??s choice.
Arnold August King was born August 14, 1927 in Epiphany, SD, to Louis and Veda (Mashino) King. He served his country in the US Army. On March 7, 1953, Arnold was united in marriage to Alma Zimmerman at Zion Lutheran Church in St. Paul. He owned and operated King Oil, King Trucking and King Farm. Arnold enjoyed farming, flying and fishing. He was a hard working man and was handy with everything that he undertook.
He is survived by his wife Alma; children Arnold Jr. ß??Arnieß?ť of South Haven, Alan (Susie) of Cambridge, Andrew of Robbinsdale, Alvin (Paula) of Cloquet, Mary Ellen (Lee) Nelson of Lakewood, CO and Art (Barb) of Mound; sisters Jean (Jim) Graves of Nampa, ID, Janette (Elmer) Addler of Alamo, TX, Joyce Foss of Mesa, AZ, Judy Brombereck of Iola, WI and Joanne Thomas; 10 grandchildren Daniel, Phillip, James, Randy, Jake, Kathy, Kristy, Dwayne, Cora and Dawn; 13 great grandchildren Joshua, Nathan, Samuel, Noah, Maylia, Bentley, Jennifer, Darell, Jr., Destiny, Ericia, Rachel, Aubrey and Rylan. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Warren, Clifford, Marvin, Orlin and Norman; sisters June Young and Geraldine Peterson.
Pallbearers for the service will be his grandsons Daniel, Phillip, James, Randy and Jake King and Dwayne Horseman. Military Honors will be provided by the Minnesota Army National Guard Honor Guard and the Kimball American Legion Post 261. Mark Arden Struble

Mark A. Struble, age 82, of Annandale, formerly of Millington, TN, died Thursday, June 20, 2013 at his home with his family at his side.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Annandale United Methodist Church with Pastor Ruth Hograbe officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Wyoming United Methodist Cemetery in Wyoming, MN. Memorials are preferred to the St. Cloud Hospital Hospice.
Mark Arden Struble was born May 5, 1931 in Minneapolis to Stanley and Helen (McGee) Struble. He grew up in Wyoming and graduated from Forest Lake High School with the Class of 1949. Mark served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1955. On September 17, 1955, he was united in marriage to Ruby Whitlock in Hernando, MS. He then furthered his education with a Business Degree from the University of Minnesota, graduating with the Class of 1960. Mark was a member of the Annandale United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Church of Millington, TN. He served as Master of Lodge for the Hiram Lodge 287; served on the Forest Lake School Board, was Mayor of the city of Wyoming and is a member of the Hall of Fame at Forest Lake High School. He enjoyed woodworking, golfing, painting oils, playing bridge and pinochle, studying history and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Ruby Struble; two children & their spouses Susan & Louis Leibovich of Memphis, TN and Jim & Carla Struble of Chaska; brother & his wife Lee & Lore Struble of Greenbriar, AR; four grandchildren Allison, Mark and Jacob Struble, and Jocelyn Leibovich. He is preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Helen; and his brother Bruce.

Francis "Ozzie" Canute Logeais

Francis C. 'Ozzie' Logeais, age 78, of Annandale died Monday, June 17, 2013 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2013 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Annandale with Fr. Victor Valencia & Fr. Mark Pavlik as the Celebrants. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service, both at the church. Parish Prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Francis Canute 'Ozzie' Logeais was born August 20, 1934 in Annandale to Canute and Lillian (Dircks) Logeais. He attended Annandale High School and graduated with the Class of 1952. Ozzie worked for his father at Canute Logeais & Sons in Annandale until Ozzie and his brother, Jim, purchased the company; they owned and operated the company as Logeais Oil. He was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and of the Fr. O’Brien’s Council Knights of Columbus #11345. Ozzie enjoyed swimming, playing the drums, the polka and the waltz, traveling the world and being with his grandkids.
He is survived by his ever lovin’ wife Mary; children & their spouses Mike & Ali of Minneapolis, Steve & Mary Jo of Annandale, Greg & Kelly of Maple Lake and Michele & Bryan Harju of South Haven; brother Jim & his wife Renee of Annandale; sister Carol Ann Goelz & her husband Jim of Maple Lake; and nine grandchildren.
The pallbearers will be his grandchildren John, Mitch, Sara, Abby, Tom and Nate Logeais, Anthony, Elizabeth and Bryanna Harju. The St. Ignatius Music Ministry will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.

James David Nelson

James D. Nelson, age 81, of Kimball died peacefully at his home in Kimball on Thursday, June 13, 2013 surrounded by his loving family after battling a short bout with cancer.
In honor of Jim’s wishes a private family memorial will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be directed to St. Croix Hospice, 2330 Troop Dr., Suite 102, Sartell MN 56377.
James David Nelson was born April 4, 1932 at Cook, MN to Ernest and Ruth (Larson) Nelson. After attending Hibbing High School he enlisted in the U.S. Navy for 4 years serving during the Korean War. In 1962 Jim moved to Lake Vermillion, Tower, MN and married Diane Knaus Jacobson in 1970. Together with their family they owned and operated Moccasin Point Resort & Marina for over 45 years. Jim was a Scorpion Snowmobile Dealer and operated the Trout Lake Truck Portage for many years. He was a former member of many organizations on Lake Vermillion and was a current member of the Kimball Lions Club. Jim and Diane enjoyed their time together in Minnesota during the summer and in Fort Meyers, FL & Gulf Shores, AL during the winter. He will be remembered for being a loving husband and father, kind hearted friend, and his passion for fishing. Throughout the years Jim has touched many lives; his kindness and wisdom will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife Diane of Kimball, children Sherry Belanger of Nashwauke, MN, Rhonda Jacobson of Pasadena, TX, Paulette (James) Masberg of Kimball, Craig (Brenley) Nelson of Tower, grandchildren Theresa (Tony) Feldhaus, Molly Belanger, Joseph (Kelly) Masberg, Keith Masberg, four great grandchildren, brother Richard (Verna) Nelson of Monticello, sister Mary (James) Burquist of Crystal Lake, IL, mother in law Laverne Knaus of Kimball, and many other family & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, step mother Helia Nelson, sister Carol Nelson, and son in law Joseph Belanger.

Janet Leona (Stelton) Eckman

Janet L. Eckman, age 72, of Kimball died Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at her home with her family at her side after a hard fought battle with breast cancer.
Memorial Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2013 at the Kimball Church of Christ with Pastors Jon Albert and Jerry Albert officiating. Burial will follow at the Kimball Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday, both at the church. Memorials are preferred to the Kimball Church of Christ Benevolent / Mission Outreach Fund. Janet Leona Eckman was born March 25, 1940 at home in Maine Prairie Township to Marvin and Carrie (Vannurden) Stelton. She graduated from Kimball High School with the Class of 1958 and went on to attend Minnesota Bible College in Minneapolis. On March 25, 1960, she was united in marriage to Richard Louis Eckman at the Kimball Church of Christ. Janet was a homemaker and helped on the family farm. She also worked for 20 years as a special education para professional at the Kimball Elementary School. The most important relationship in her life was with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She lived out her faith as a member of the Church of Christ in Kimball, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and church pianist; she was also active in the Positive Peace Makers quilting group and making cards for the W.C.O. She enjoyed sewing and needle work, playing the piano, reading, doing puzzles and playing word games. Janet was one of the best huggers ever and was known for her love for her family and her ministry of encouragement.
She is survived by her husband Richard; children & their spouses Shari & Ed Goff of Maple Lake, Jed & Gay Linn Eckman of Bruce, SD, Penny & Robert Blanchard of Kimball, Melissa & Geff Goodfellow of Bruce, SD and Faye & Vern Nelson of Cokato; sisters Jeanie & Joe Froehling of Excelsior, Ruthie & Ben Eder of Kimball and Betty Lou Hoeft of Kimball; 18 grandchildren Adrienne, Justin, Erin, Devin, Dylan, Colton, Kylie, Lane, Weston, Carl, Jace, Cade, Chance, Jake, Carrie, Jubal, Reuben and JennyGrace; 8 great grandchildren Camden, Ashton, Amelia, Ayden, Paisley, AveryAnn, Jet and Max; and a host of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and infant brother Ronald Stelton.
The urn bearer will be her grandson, Justin Goff. The Positive Peace Makers will serve as honorary pallbearers. Lori Miller, Tracy Bruns, Joyce Albert and the family will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care, Kimball.
