Lisa K. Pitts, 40, Owatonna, Minn., formerly of Winona, died unexpectedly Tuesday, December 19, 2000 at her home.
Funeral services were Friday, December 22 at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, Winona. Interment was in Oakland Cemetery in Minnesota City, Minn.
Bell, Gertrude R.
Gertrude Rose Bell, 85, a resident of the Watkins Home, and formerly of Winhaven Court, died suddenly Tuesday, December 19, 2000 at the Watkins Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 26 at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Klein, Frederick E.
Frederick E. Klein, Kewaskum, Wis., died Friday, December 8, 2000 at Mapledale Manor in Kewaskum.
Funeral services were Tuesday, December 12 at St. Lucas Lutheran Church with Rev. Edwin C. Fredrick officiating. Burial was in Lutheran Memorial Park.
Eggert, Norman H.
Norman H. Eggert, 70, of Rt. 1, Rushford, Minn., died Thursday, December 21, 2000 at his home.
Funeral services were Saturday, December 23 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hart, Minn., with Rev. Frederick Buth officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Drazkowski, Irene V.
Irene V. Drazkowski, 83, Bluff Siding, Wis., died Tuesday, December 19, 2000 at St. Anne Hospice after a lingering illness.
Irene was born May 23, 1917 in Genesco, No. Dak., to Charles and Anna (Wastuck) Kugler. She came to Winona at the age of 15, graduating from Cathedral High School in 1934. On September 7, 1936, Irene married Joe Drazkowski of Bluff Siding, Wis., in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winona.
They farmed for many years in Bluff Siding. Irene worked for Bolands Manufacturing Co., Furs by Francis, and Witt Vending Co.
Survivors include six sons: Ron (Sandy) of Bluff Siding, John of Fountain City, Wis., Frank (Ann) of Winona, Paul (Terry) of LaCrescent, Minn., Phillip (Cathy) of Ellsworth, Wis., and Ralph (Peggy) of Goodview, Minn.; and five daughters: Joann (Jerry) Engelbert of Rochester, Minn., Shirley (Don) Kegel of Green Bay, Wis., Mary Jo (James) Boerboom of Waseca, Minn., Kathy (Gary) Boyle of New Hope, Minn., Paulette (Dick) Paulson of Minnesota City, Minn.; thirty-two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Skroch of Spokane, Wash.; and a sister-in-law, Helen Drazkowski of Fountain City, Wis.
In death, Irene joins her husband, Joe, her loving son, Michael, five brothers and four sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered Friday, December 22 at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart with Rev. Shawn Haremza officiating. Interment will be in Piepers Valley Cemetery, Marshland, Wis., in the spring.
Pallbearers were her grandsons.
Memorials may be directed to the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart Church or St. Anne Hospice.

Bond, Florine V.
Florine V. Bond, 89, Fountain City, Wis., died Monday, December 18, 2000 at St. Michael Lutheran Home in Fountain City.
She was born December 31, 1910 in rural Galesville, Wis., to Walter and Effie Hellsapple Turnbull. On March 16, 1935 she married Lloyd W. Bond of Fountain City, in Galesville.
Lloyd and Florine purchased the Bond family farm in 1938 and farmed it for 41 years, until retiring in 1979. They continued to live on the farm until moving to St. Michael Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
Florine is survived by her husband, Lloyd of St. Michael Home; a son, Gary L. Bond of Fountain City; and a daughter, Ann (Willis) Stuber of Fountain City.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Fountain City and was active in both the Ladies Aid and choir in her younger years.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, December 28 at 1:30 p.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ, with Rev. Fritz West officiating. Interment will be in the spring.
Friends may call at the church on Thursday, December 28 from 12:30 to time of service.
Memorials may be given to St. John's United Church of Christ or to St. Michael's Lutheran Home.

Stearns, Wayne C.
Wayne C. Stearns, 76, Winona (a winter resident of Green Valley, Arizona for 14 years), died December 21, 2000 from complications of diabetes, at a LaPosada Hospice in Green Valley, Ariz.
He was born October 17, 1924 to Mildred and Julius Stearns of Galesville, Wis. He married Elaine Huntley on April 16, 1947.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine; six sons, Terry (Therese) of Dakota, Minn., Johnathon (Georgia) of Minnesota City, Minn., Ted (Petra) of Wabasha, Minn., Steven of Green Valley, Ariz., Ricky and Randy, both of Stewartville, Minn.; a daughter, Rebecca Pelowski (Scott) of Winona; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
A special thank you to the hospital, hospice personnel, to Dr. Khan and Dr. Fuller, who provided care to our father.
A family service will be held at a later date in Winona.
Though he is not with us, he will always be with us in our memories and in our hearts. He has filled our lives with love, thoughtfulness, support, and his endless caring for his family. Because of this love we will always be together. We love you. Your family.
Jaszewski, Edward F.
Edward F. Jaszewski, 83, of 519 Chatfield St., died Tuesday, November 14, 2000 at his home.
He was born July 22, 1917 in Winona to John and Anna (Kulas) Jaszewski. He married Audrey R. Lamoreux on February 10, 1945 in St. Stanislaus Church, Winona.
He was a sheet metal worker at Winona Heating & Ventilating Co. Prior to that he was in the home heating oil business for 20 years.
He was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish and its Holy Name Society and Harvest House. He was an usher and was active in many church activities. Ed was an avid gardener and fisherman. He was well known for his tomatoes and beautiful flowers. Ed also enjoyed woodworking and did a lot of furniture reupholstering.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his loving wife, Audrey of Winona; six children: Ann (Andrew) Kuklinski of Nashville, Tenn., John W. (Nancy) Jaszewski of Mason City, Iowa, Ronald (Jolinda) Jaszewski of Winona, Jane (Owen) Warneke of Winona, Joyce (Gregory) Geilow of Eyota, Minn., and Paul Jaszewski of Winona; fourteen grandchildren: Jodi, Beth, Andrew, Jr., Andy, Aaron, Amy, Angie, Adam, Joseph, Ellen, Paul, Michael, Nathan and Heidi; four great-grandchildren: Megan, Nicholas, Alec and Jessica; four sisters: Marie Laska of Saint Anne Hospice, Winona, Eleanor (William) Wooden of Coon Rapids, Minn., Ann (Francis)Lipinski of Winona, and Verna (James) Kleinschmidt of Hastings, Minn.; and two brothers, Frank (Betty) Jaszewski and John (Susie) Jaszewski, both of Winona.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Helen, and two brothers, Jerome and Raymond.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered Friday, November 17 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church with Rev. Daniel R. Dernek officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Andy Jaszewski, Jerry Jaszewski, Aaron Jaszewski, Joe Warneke, Dean MacKenzie and Tom Laska.
Honorary pallbearers were Adam Jaszewski and Paul Warneke. Flower girls were Amy McKenzie and Angie Jaszewski.
