Oehlert, Duewaine Walter
Duewaine Walter Oehlert, 67, formerly of Minnesota City, Minn., died Saturday, May 4, 2002 at Lake Winona Manor.
He was born in Columbia County, Wis. to Walter and Bertha (Yohn) Oehlert. He attended Rio High School and graduated in 1954. He married Barbara Boehm in 1955 in Portage, Wis. She died in 1979. He married Sandra Zenk-Alseth in 1982. She died February 21, 2002.
He worked at Brad Ragan in Madison, Wis. and later transferred to the Winona plant in 1971.
Survivors include his daughters, Rona (Randy) Purdy, Renee (Jim) Infield and Roxanne Marchetti; his mother, Bertha Oehlert; stepchildren, Tammy Alseth, Michelle Alseth, Robert (Shelly) Alseth and Jeff (Cindy) Alseth; fifteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Arnold and Eugene; and sisters, Jenny (Len) Diels, Phyllis Withum, Barbara (Melvin) Udell, Beverly (Mae) McDonald and Kay Oehlert.
He was preceded in death by his father, wives, brother-in-law, Byron Withum and a sister-in-law, Mae Oehlert.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, at St. Martin's Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Timothy Dost officiating. Burial will be in Bush Cemetery, Ridgeway, Minn. Friends may call Wednesday from noon until time of service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Alseth, Bob Alseth, Arnold Oehlert, Eugene Oehlert, Leonard Diels and Jerry Zenk.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.

Pruka, Harry
Harry Pruka, 66, died Sunday, May 5, 2002 at Fairview Red Wing Medical Center.
He was born on October 6, 1935 in Winona, to Anton and Delphine Ehlers Pruka.
He had been a resident of the Faribault State Hospital, the Green Brier Home in St. Paul and most recently REM Park Heights in Red Wing.
He loved horses, big bands and country music.
He is survived by sisters Alma Miller of Winona and Katherine (Raymond) Ledebuhr of Lewiston, Minn.; several nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 9, at 11 a.m. at Martin-Myhre Funeral Chapel with Rev. Timothy Dost officiating. Burial will be in Witoka Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday morning after 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Martin-Myhre Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.
Ziegler, Olive M.
Olive M. Ziegler, 87, of Trempealeau, Wis., died Saturday, May 4, 2002 at Marinuka Manor in Galesville, Wis.
Funeral services were Tuesday, May 7, at Christ Lutheran Church in Arcadia, Wis., with Rev. Arthur Sharot officiating. Burial was in Glencoe Lutheran Cemetery.

Margaret C. Osborne, 92, a lifelong resident of Winona and Goodview, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2002.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, at Immanuel Methodist Church.

Alton G. Senrick, 84, of Cannon Falls, Minn., died Friday, May 3, 2002 at Angels Care Center in Cannon Falls.
Funeral services were Tuesday, May 7, at St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls, with Rev. Gary Schulz officiating. Burial was in Cannon Falls Cemetery.
Schultz, Thomas W.
Thomas W. Schultz, 48, passed away Monday, February 11, 2002 in Corpus Christi, Tex.
Tom was born May 11, 1953 in Minneapolis, Minn., to Joseph and Florence (Benck) Schultz, Jr.
Tom is survived by his wife of eight years, Tara Schultz of Corpus Christi; his father, Joe Schultz, Jr., of Rollingstone, Minn.; two brothers, Joe Carl Schultz (Nancy) of Hutchinson, Minn., and Dan Schultz of Los Angeles, Cal.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Florence Benck Schultz and his stepmother, Lois Olson Schultz.
A service was held in Corpus Christi on Saturday, February 23.
A memorial service will be held in Winona on Friday, May 10, at 7 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 1717 Service Drive, Winona., with Rev. Duane Baarseth officiating. Friends may call on Friday, May 10 from 6-7 p.m.

Johnson, Anne D.
Anne D. Johnson, 67, died Sunday, May 5, 2002 at her home in Rollingstone, Minn.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at Faith Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Dumke officiating. Burial of Anne's cremated body will be in the Holy Trinity Cemetery in Rollingstone.
Ferdinandson, Lloyd M.
Lloyd M. "Bill" Ferdinandsen, Jr., age 74, of rural Winona, died on Friday, July 26, 2002 at St. Mary's Hospital Rochester, MN.
Lloyd was born on September 24, 1927 in Worthington, MN to Lloyd Manly and Helen Louise (Martin) Ferdinandsen, Sr.
He graduated from Winona Senior High School, attended Winona State College and graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1952. In September 1950 he married Donna Mae Ronnenberg at St. Martin's Lutheran Church, Winona. He was formerly employed by Watkins Corporation, Winona and also had his own law practice in Winona, retiring in 1996.
At McKinley United Methodist Church, he served as lay leader, treasurer, and taught Sunday School. He was Past President of City PTA and was active in Boy Scouts while his sons were in the organization. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and especially enjoyed traveling with Donna. He also enjoyed woodworking. He liked being outdoors hiking and boating.
He is survived by his wife Donna, rural Winona; sons Mark (Rita) Ferdinandsen of Manteo, NC, and Lee (Judith) Ferdinandsen of Winona; a daughter Jean (Leif Hauge) Ferdinandsen Hauge of Oconomoc, WI; two granddaughters, Stephanie Ferdinandsen of Eugene, OR and Laura Ferdinandsen of Minneapolis, MN; a sister Judy (Ronald) Schenck, Madison, WI and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, David Brian.
Memorial service was Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at 2:00 PM at Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home, Winona with Rev. Dr. Donald D. Budd, of McKinley United Methodist Church, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials given to the family will be distributed to local cardiac rehabilitation program.
Tudahl, Norman W.
Norman W. Tudahl, age 81, of Winona, died on Sunday, July 28, 2002 at Community Memorial Hospital, Winona.
Norman was born on May 20, 1921 in Highland Prairie, MN to Ole H. and Nilla B. (Kinneberg) Tudahl. On June 21, 1947, he married Ella Irene Barnewitz at North Prairie Lutheran Church, North Prairie, MN. They just celebrated 55 years of marriage together.
Norman served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WW II. He was formerly employed by US Steel, Winona, retiring in December 1977 after 31 years. He also owned and operated Norm's Sharp All Shop for 24 years retiring at the age of 80. He made many good friends and acquaintances at the shop. But his greatest joy, was the love he shared with his grandchildren Michelle and Joshua.
He was a member of Central Lutheran Church, Winona, the VFW and the DAV.
His is survived by his wife Ella, Winona; two daughters Wendy (Scott) Erwin, Winona and Lisa Tudahl, Winona; a son Mark Tudahl, St. Cloud, MN; two grandchildren, Michelle Erwin and Joshua Walchak; five sisters, Olga (Ray) Sammuelson, Cokato, MN, Lynda (Keith Yoder) Hoff Yoder, Ft. Myers, FL, Viola Bakken, Ruby Tudahl and Betty Tudahl all of Bloomington, MN and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Lori Ann Corey, an infant daughter and a brother Clifford Tudahl.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 1, 2002 at 1:30 PM at Central Lutheran Church, Winona with Rev. Scott Olson, officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Winona with veterans military rites by the American Legion Leon J. Wetzel Post #9, Winona.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 31 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home, Winona and at the church on Thursday, one hour prior to the service.
Casket bearers will be: Mark Erwin, Dan Schultz, Donn Corey, Scott Erwin, Joshua Walchak, and Michelle Erwin.
Funeral arrangements are being completed by the Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Winona.
Czapiewski, Marion I.
Marion I. Czapiewski, 82, of 468 East Third St., died Saturday, July 27, 2002 at Lake Winona Manor.
She was born June 9, 1920 in Winona to William and Mary (Rozek) Schneider. She married Clarence V. "Chippy" Czapiewski on May 6, 1940 in St. Thomas Catholic Church. He died April 20, 2000.
She was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish, Polish Heritage and the VFW Auxiliary. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Marion took pride in her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She was an excellent homemaker and her children will always remember her peach pies.
She is survived by two sons, Dale (Marie) Czapiewski of Winona and David Czapiewski of Houston, Minn.; a daughter, Darlene Schlesser of Galesville, Wis.; nine grandchildren: Donna (Steve) Nelson, Diane (Tim) Ehlers, Deb Schlesser, Tamara, Jenna, Cassie and Melanie Czapiewski, Melissa and Dominique Baker; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a grandson, and a son-in-law, Richard Schlesser.
Funeral services were Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at Watkowski-Pronschinske Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel R. Dernek officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Pallbearers were family members.
