Boettcher, Levi L.

Levi L. Boettcher, 73, of 210 S. Main St., Cochrane, Wis., died Saturday, July 27, 2002, at St. Michael's Lutheran Home in Fountain City, Wis.
He was born June 19, 1929 in Buffalo County, Wis., to Walter and Lorena (Schmidt) Boettcher.
He was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church of Cream, Wis. Levi was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #10406 of Cochrane, Wis.
Levi farmed his entire life in Jahn's Valley in Cream. He and his wife, Ruth retired to Cochrane in late 1999.
He was an avid collector of John Deere tractors and memorabilia. He enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, fishing, and especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth of Cochrane; nine children, Joyce of Minneapolis, Minn., David (Wanda) of Hibbing, Minn., Ellouise of Sparta, Wis., Barbara of Denver, Colo., Bill (Sandy) of Alma, Wis., Tammie of Arcadia, Wis., Brad (Margret) of Fountain City, Wis., Mark (Lori) of Holmen, Wis., and Bonnie (Scott) of Cochrane, Wis.; seven grandsons: Matthew, Jeremiah, Eric, John, Ryan, Levi and Cody; five granddaughters: Isabel, Jessica, Holly, Arielle, and Chelsey; one great-grandson, Remmington; two brothers, Larry (Myrna) of Alma, Wis., and Jackie (Ruby) of Winona; a sister, Janice (Robert) of Manassas, VA; and many nieces, nephews, hunting buddies and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lyman.
Funeral services were Tuesday, July 30, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cream, with Rev. Elroy V. Conradt officiating. Burial with military rites conducted by the VFW Post 10406 of Cochrane was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were members of the VFW Post #10406, Al Farner, Al Kochenderfer, Rudy Zeller, Carl Schultz, Cliff Burmeister and Stan Swenson.
A memorial is being arranged.
J.S. Wozney Funeral Chapel assisted with the arrangements.

Frankard, Mark A.

Mark A. Frankard, 31, of Holmen, Wis., and formerly of Winona, died Friday, July 26, 2002.
He was born March 18, 1971 in Winona to Jim and Jean (Bambenek) Frankard. He married Michelle Cox on August 19, 2000 at St. Elizabeth's Church in Holmen.
Mark was a loving father and husband and is survived by his wife, Michelle of Holmen; two children, Cody Frankard of Winona and Alyssa Frankard of Holmen; his parents, Jim and Jean Frankard of Winona; two sisters, Cathy Cooksy and Carrie Hanson, both of Lakeville, Minn.; and a brother, Scott Frankard of Burnsville, Minn. He is also survived by an expected son to be born in November.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 1, at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart Church, Winona, with Rev. Shawn T. Haremza officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Preliminary services will be at 9:30 a.m. at Watkowski-Pronschinske Funeral Home.
Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Watkowski-Pronschinske Funeral Home followed by a closing Christian Wake Service at 8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Vincent Bork, Dale Huether, Scott Frankard, Anthony Cox, Rafael Delgado and Brian Tomashek.

Ferdinandsen, Lloyd M. "Bill" Jr.

Lloyd M. "Bill" Ferdinandsen, Jr., 74, of rural Winona, died Friday, July 26, 2002 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minn.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, July 30, at Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Donald D. Budd of McKinley United Methodist Church officiating.

Sorenson, Hildred Marie

Hildred Marie Sorenson, 86, died Thursday, July 25, 2002 at New Richland Care Center in New Richland, Minn.
Funeral services were Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at Community Lutheran Church in Geneva with Rev. Linda Gunderson officiating. Burial was in Hayward Cemetery.

Kohner, Margaret F.

Margaret F. Kohner, 90, Winona, died Saturday, July 27, 2002 at St. Anne Extended Healthcare, Winona.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, July 30, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Keefe officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Tudahl, Norman

Norman Tudahl, 81, Winona, died Sunday, July 28, 2002 at Community Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, August 1, at Central Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Klug, Rita McGinnis

Rita McGinnis Klug, 78, of Caledonia, Minn., died Saturday, July 27, 2002 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, LaCrosse, Wis.
A Mass of Resurrection will be offered at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Caledonia, with Rev. Thomas Jennings and Rev. Joseph McGinnis officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia.

Ruff, Phyllis

Phyllis Ruff, 71, of Arcadia, Wis., died Sunday, July 28, 2002 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, at Christ Lutheran Church in Arcadia, with Rev. Arthur Sharot officiating. Burial will be in Glencoe Lutheran Cemetery, Arcadia.

Peterick, Mary

Mary Peterick, 102, died Monday, July 29, 2002 at St. Anne Extended Healthcare.
Arrangements are pending.

Peterick, Mary B.

Mary B. Peterick, 102, formerly of 927 East Fourth St., died Monday, July 29, 2002 at St. Anne Extended Healthcare.
She was born September 7, 1899 in Poland. She married Albert Wanek and after his death later married Anthony Peterick. He died February 27, 1948.
Mary was employed at Winona Knitting Mills until her retirement.
She was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish and active in its parish functions, Quilting and Rosary Society.
Survivors include a son-in-law, Ray Thorn of Winona; a daughter-in-law, Judith Peterick of Seattle, Wash.; three grandchildren, Michael (Bonnie) Thorn of Apple Valley, Minn., Stephen (Kathy) Thorn, Winona, and Richard (Lora) Thorn of LaCrescent, Minn.; eight great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, a daughter, Ruth, a son, James, and her brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Friday, August 2, at 11 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church with preliminary services at 10:30 a.m. at Watkowski-Pronschinske Funeral Home. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. The Rev. Daniel R. Dernek will officiate.
Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home with a Christian Wake Service at 7 p.m.

Kohner, Margaret F.

Margaret F. Kohner, age 90, of Winona, died Saturday, July 27, 2002 at Saint Anne Extended Healthcare, Winona.
Margaret Frances was born on July 8, 1912 in Town of Cross, Fountain City, WI, to Anton and Frances (Fernholz) Frie.
Margaret was a lifelong resident of the Winona area. She married Sylvester N. 'Syl' Kohner and he preceded her in death in June 1972. They were in business together in the Winona area. She was a wonderful caretaker for her family and a community volunteer for many years. Margaret received great enjoyment spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Winona and the Community Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
She is survived by three sons, Steven (Candy) Kohner, Winona, Robert (Marlene) Kohner, Winona and Roger (Renee) Kohner, Winona; 11 grandchildren, Shawn, Stephanie, Jason, Jennifer, Kjersti, Kollin, Michelle, Bob, Tim, Terry, and Tony; eight great grandchildren, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six brothers and three sisters.
Mass of Christian burial was Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at 1:00 PM, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Winona with Rev. Joseph Keefe, officiating. Interment was at St. Mary's Cemetery, Winona.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to: Saint Anne Extended Healthcare, Winona or the Syl & Marge Kohner Scholarship Fund, at the Winona Technical College.
Arrangements were completed by the Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home of Winona.

Neuman, Marjorie "Marge" Tarras

Marjorie "Marge" Tarras Neuman, 73, of LaCrescent, Minn., died Friday, July 27, 2001 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, LaCrosse, Wis.

Funeral services were Monday, July 30 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in LaCrescent, with Rev. Paul A. Ibisch officiating. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
