Jean M. Fedders, 84, of Coon Rapids, Minn., died Thursday, March 7, 2002 at the Camilla Rose Nursing Home in Coon Rapids.
Arrangements are pending.

Burros, Pauline

Pauline Burros, 85, formerly of the Adith Miller Manor, died Saturday, March 2, 2002 at St. Anne Hospice, Winona.
Pauline Charlotte Harrison was born August 22, 1916 to John and Pauline E. Harrison in LaCrosse, Wis. On November 9, 1933 she married Percy O. Burros in Winona. He died May 25, 1990.
Pauline was a homemaker and also worked for Stotts Grove Company in Winona. She was a demonstrator for grocery stores, including the Red Owl in Winona.
Pauline was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church. She loved having family gatherings and picnics, enjoyed camping and boating as well as driving friends to church and Bible study. She made life an adventure for all that knew her.
Survivors include four sons, John (Irma), Lee (Margaret) and Paul, all of Winona and Karl (Ruth) of San Diego, Cal.; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Percy, one son, Percy J., three sisters and one brother.
Funeral services are planned for Thursday, March 7, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Church with Rev. Richard Spencer officiating. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery will be held at a later date. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Pauline's grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be directed to the Adith Miller Manor, 885 Mankato Avenue, Winona, MN 55987.
Hoff Funeral Homes - Burke Winona Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Cosik, Sigmund

Sigmund Cosik, of Sauer Memorial Home, died Thursday, February 28, 2002 at the home.

Siok, Carol

Carol K. Siok, 81, Winona, died Friday, March 1, 2002 at Community Memorial Hospital, Winona.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday, March 5, at St. Mary's of Mount Carmel in Fancher, Wis. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

Raseman, Ruth M.

Ruth M. Raseman, 83, Winona, died Tuesday, March 5, 2002 at Lake Winona Manor, Winona.
She was born March 7, 1918 in Lacrosse, Wis. She married Willard A. Raseman. He has died.
Arrangements are being completed with the Watkowski-Pronschinske Funeral Home.

Charles Albert Porter

Charles Albert Porter, 74, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2002 at his home in Oakdale, MN after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in St. Paul to Albert and Irma Porter, Charlie served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was employed by 3M in Industrial Abrasive Sales for 42 years.
Charlie shared his life-long enthusiasm for the outdoors with his family, and loved to golf, fish, hunt and spend time with his wife, children, grandchildren and friends. He was a kind and gentle soul, and will be very sadly missed by all who knew him.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth; four sons, Scott (Julie) Porter of Eagan, Craig (Cynthya) Porter of Winona, Daniel (Molly) Porter of Lakeville and Jerry (Kim) Porter of Menomonie, WI; six step-children Kathy, John, Bill, Christine, Maureen and Toni, and 18 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services and burial are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Thursday, March 7 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, with a luncheon to follow at the Fort Snelling Clubhouse. by Cynthya Porter

Carlson, Leonard D.

Leonard D. Carlson, age 69, died on Sunday, March 3, 2002 at Gunderson Lutheran Medical Center, LaCrosse, WI, from complications due to cancer.
Leonard was born on March 28, 1932 in LaCrosse, WI to Alfred and Alice (Nerison) Carlson. On July 24, 1954, he married Darlene Mae Leslie at Money Creek Methodist Church.
He graduated from Winona Senior High School and Dunwoody Institute, Minneapolis, MN. He was employed with Minnesota DOT for 33 years as a senior engineer technician. He was a member of: McKinley United Methodist Church, Winona; AFSCME 1309 Union and was also a delegate; and the Rod & Gun Club.
Leonard enjoyed restoring old cars & tractors, deer hunting, farming, and trips to Arizona. He loved spending time with family, playing with his grandchildren, being with friends, and country music.
He is survived by his wife Darlene of Winona; two daughters: Darcey (Dave) Wera of Prior Lake, MN, Janelle (Jim) Larson of Wauwatosa, WI; four grandchildren: Paige Wera, Aimee Wera, Cal Larson, and Brad Larson; two brothers: John (JoAnn) Carlson of Caledonia, MN and Kenneth Carlson of Caledonia; two sisters: Lyla (Gerald) Dragvold of Spring Grove, MN and Shirley Skree of Caledonia; mother-in-law Winifred Leslie of Winona; a sister-in-law Kay (Verlyn) Raaen of Prior Lake, and a brother-in-law Darrell Leslie of St. Paul, MN; nieces, nephews, grand nieces & nephews; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law Otis Leslie and a brother-in-law Darrell Skree.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 6, 2002 at 1:00 PM at McKinley United Methodist Church,
Winona with the Rev. Shirley Duncanson, officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Winona.
Visitation was Tuesday, March 5 at the Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home, Winona and at the church on Wednesday from 12 Noon until the time of service.
Memorials may be directed to the McKinley United Methodist Church Elevator Fund or the International Myeloma Foundation.
Funeral arrangements are being completed by the Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Winona.

Coffell, Reuben Edward

Reuben Edward Coffell, 81, of Winona, Minnesota died Thursday, February 28, 2002, at Winona Community Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 25, 1920, in Flint, Michigan to Reuben and Ella (Tripp) Coffell.
Reuben was a highly decorated U.S. Army WWII veteran. He received many awards in the military including a Purple Heart. Reuben lived most of his life in the Midwest and Western United States. He is survived by two sons; Robert (Lisa) Coffell of Lake Zurich, Ill, and Michael (Isabelle) Coffell of Grace Lake, Ill.; one daughter, Ann Hall of Wheeling, Ill.; seven grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. His parents preceded him in death.
The funeral service was Monday, March 4, 2002, at Hoff Funeral Homes ­ Rushford Chapel with the Rev. Roger Michaelson officiating. Burail was in the Lanesboro Cemetery.

Harvey, Kenneth

Kenneth Harvey, 34, passed away Feb. 23, 2002, during an afternoon of snowmobile riding, one of his favorite winter sports. Kenneth ( Kenny, Ken, Harv) was a brother, son, uncle, best friend, visionary, confidant and a cherished community member.
Kenneth was born in Fairbanks on Sept. 29, 1967. Growing up, Kenny participated in many activities, enriching his talents and skills in hockey, cross-country skiing, mechanics and music. He enjoyed playing the banjo, clarinet, drums, piano and his car stereo. He was forever updating and experimenting with bigger and better ways to make his vehicles rock musically and physically and he also enjoyed a good mudd experience.
After graduating from North Pole High School in 1985, he went to Seward and graduated from Alaska Vo Technical Center. He worked in Cordova, and up North, Hawaii and Minnesota. He settled down back home to work with his family at Harvey Mechanical Co. He finally found career bliss when he opened his own business, Harvey Racing Services based in North Pole. He traveled around the state with his mechanics van treating bruised and broken snow machines and motorbikes like a pediatrician would treat a newborn.
He was a member of the Fairbanks Racing Lions, The Operating Engineers Local 302 and a charter member of the Farthest North Frontier 4-Wheelers.
He is survived by his parents Keith and Pat of North Pole; brother Kevin and family of North Pole; sisters Rebecca Donald and family of Quakertown, PA; Sharon Harvey and family of North Pole; several nieces and nephew; many aunts and uncles and best friend Dave Simmons.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Elt and Betty Buzby of North Pole and Bill and Irene Harvey of Pickwick, MN
A memorial service was held Saturday, March 2. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude's Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 55458, North Pole, AK 99705.

Carol K. Siok

Carol K. Siok of Winona, MN died Friday March 1, 2002 at Community Memorial Hospital in Winona of natural causes. She was 81 years old. She was born December 16, 1920 in Amhurst, Wisconsin to Peter & Katherine (Sharafinski) Sankey. She was one of 12 children. She grew up in the Amhurst area. She met Chester Siok in Chicago and they were married there on September 2, 1944. They lived in Chicago for many years, moving to Wisconsin and then to Winona where she worked for Watkins. They were later divorced.
She was a member of Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. She has resided since 1996 at the Sauer Memorial Home. She enjoyed being out of doors, gardening, looking for four leafed clovers and playing the harmonica.
She is survived by 3 sons. Walter (Joan) of Bolingbrook, Il., Allen (Carolyn) of Gilman, Wi., and Albert (Natalie) of Winona, Mn. Seven grandchildren - James, Heather, Kelly, Kimberly, Jason, Angela and Joshua, and two great-grandchildren - Kayla and Zachary. One brother Donald (Lois) Sankey, and four sisters, Jean Nicolussi, Cornelia (Larry) Flugar, Virginia Perek, and Josephine Trebe. Also many neices and nephews. She was preceeded in death by her parents, one brother, five sisters, and one grandaughter, Monica.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10.30 A.M. Tuesday at St. Mary's of Mt. Carmel in Fancher, Wi. Burial in the Parish Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 9:00 A.M. Tuesday at the church until the time of services.
The family would like to thank Dr. Parker and the staff at Sauer Home for all of their years of caring for our mother. Also, a special thanks to her roomate Catherine Sensor for her kindness. God Bless you all.

Fjeld, Alma K.

Alma K. Fjeld, age 101, of Winona, died on Monday, March 4, 2002 at Lake Winona Manor, Winona, MN.
Funeral services will be at the Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home, Winona on Saturday, March 9 at 1:00 PM., with the Rev. Michelle Rem officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 PM until the time of services.
Interment will be at the West Grace Cemetery, rural Peterson, MN.

Stuck, Ethel M.

Ethel M. Stuck, 93, of Lake Placid, Fla. and formerly of Winona, died Monday, February 25, 2002 at Lake Placid Health Care Center.
Ethel was born in Winona on August 6, 1908, the daughter of Otto and Martha (Laak) Pittelko. She lived most of her life in Winona, and a short time in LaCrosse, Wis. On August 14, 1926 she married Grant W. Stuck in Winona. He preceded her in death on December 10, 1977.
Ethel is a former member of Central United Methodist Church, Winona; member of the Winona Chapter #141, Order of Eastern Star; member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and also a past member of the Watkins Home Auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughters, Betty (Ray) Thrune of Winona and Alice (Robert) Stevens of Lake Placid, Fla.; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Raymond, one great-granddaughter, and two brothers.
Memorial services for Ethel in Winona will be held in June and will be announced at that time.
There will be a memorial service for her in Florida at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, at the Fountain-Chandler Funeral Home, 125 E. Park Avenue, Lake Placid, Fla.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the donor's choice.
