John D. Tearse died Sunday, June 3, 2001 in Tucson, Ariz.
A memorial service will be held at Christ the King Episcopal Church, 2800 W. Ina Road on Tuesday, June 12, at 3 p.m. Interment of his cremated remains will be at a later date in Woodlawn cemetery, Winona.

George L. Tandeski, 78, of 358 Mankato Avenue, died Monday, June 4, 2001 at Community Memorial Hospital.
There will be no services. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.

Taylor, Mary (Mae)
Mary (Mae) Taylor, 92, of Plainview, Minn., died Thursday, May 31, 2001, at Hillcrest Community Care Center in Plainview.
Funeral services were Monday, June 4, at St. Joachim's Catholic Church in Plainview with Rev. Donald Connelly officiating. Burial was in St. Joachim's Catholic cemetery.
Dahm, Joseph Mercier
Joseph Mercier Dahm, 68, of Rochester, Minn., died Monday, June 4, 2001 at the Sauer Memorial Home, Winona.
Joe was born July 12, 1932 in Winona to J. Milton and Grace Gremelsbach Dahm.
He was a graduate of Cotter High School and an alumnus of St. Mary's College, Winona. Joe attained the rank of a "Life" Scout and was a member of the Boy Scouts "Order Of The Arrow."
His wife Lo Jean died in 1994.
He is survived by his mother, Grace Dahm Backus of Winona; sisters: Eleanor (Ezio) Sansoni of Merced, Cal.; Mary (P.J.) O'Hare of Marietta, GA.; and a brother: Captain Eugene E. Dahm, U.S. Navy Ret. (Anne) of Norfolk, VA.; cousins, nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be at St. Rose of Lima cemetery, Lewiston, Minn.
A memorial is being arranged.

Larson, Eugene
Eugene Larson age 77 of Lanesboro, Minnesota passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday June 3, 2001.Tentative services are set for Thursday. Riley Funeral Home in Lanesboro is in charge of service arrangements.
Mr. Larson is survived by his wife, Avis; three daughters: Kathy (James) Schwanke of Buffalo City, Wisconsin; Sharon (Walter) Alms of Austin; Laura (Dennis) Block of Blooming Prairie and two sons: David Larson, Iowa and Daniel (Heather) Larson of Rushford, Minnesota.
He has ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and a granddaughter, Amy Malmin.
Czaplewski, Edna H.
Edna H. Czaplewski, 90, of 1764 West Fifth St., died Saturday, February 23, 2002 at Community Memorial Hospital.
Edna Helena Boelter Czaplewski was born July 3, 1911 in Brown County, Minn. near Sanborn. She was the daughter of Albert and Helena (Schmidt) Boelter. She was the youngest of eight children, all of whom have preceded her in death.
She came to Winona in 1928 where she worked for the Botsford, Lucas, Smith and Wilson families as a domestic helper. She married
John L. Czaplewski (deceased) in 1936 at St. Casimir's Church.
As a lifetime member of St. Casimir's, Edna was a member of the Friendship Club, the Rosary Society, the Society of the Sacred Heart, St. Casimir's Quilters Guild, and Cotter Mother's Club. During the 1960s, she designed and sewed costumes for the St. Mary's University Men's Chorus.
She is the mother of six children, Mary Jo of Shoreview, Minn., Rev. John Dee of Minneapolis, Dianne Vigenser of Chandler, Ariz., Tom (Karen) of Providence, RI, Samuel of St. Paul, and Mary (Katie) of Portland, Ore.; ten grandchildren: Ted, Tim and Lara Vigenser, Melissa Fenner (Steve), Troy, Christie (Jamie), Shaun, Brandon, John Luke and Paul; and six great-grandchildren, Brody, Taia, Ryder, Riley, Ethan and Kiley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 2, at St. Casimir's Church with Rev. James W. Hennessy and Rev. Lawrence P. Ginther concelebrating. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of the Mass.
Rosary recitation will be at 11:10 a.m. by Rev. Lawrence P. Ginther.

Dittrich, Orville E.
Orville E. Dittrich, 82, of Rochester, Minn., and formerly of St. Charles, Minn., and Altura, Minn., died Friday, February 22, 2002 at Seasons Hospice in Rochester.
Orville was born December 6, 1919 to William Ernest and Grace (Lawrence) Dittrich in Plainview. He and Margaret (Betty) Arens were married
in Kellogg, Minn. on April 15, 1944.
They made their home in Kellogg for a short time and then farmed in the Oak Ridge and Altura areas for many years. In 1997 they moved to St. Charles. They moved to Rochester last year.
Orville was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
He loved horses, dancing and farming.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; fourteen children, Diane Amos of Roseville, Patricia (Johnnie) Taylor of Apple Valley, Don (Jan) Dittrich of Goodview, Janice (John) Timm of Rochester, Ken (Susan) Dittrich of Elgin, Allen Dittrich of Plainview, Marcella (Tony) Schmidtknecht of Mesa, Ariz., Joseph (Julie) Dittrich of St. Charles, Doreen (Brian) Kronebusch of Gilbert, Ariz., Joan (Kevin) Luehmann of Eyota, Arlene (Roger) Fenske of Minnesota City, Carla (Bill)Speltz of Rollingstone, Pamela Dittrich Hewitt of St. Charles, and Douglas Dittrich of Phoenix, Ariz.; twenty-eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Howard Dittrich of Plainview and Gerald Dittrich of Fort Collins, Colo.; and a sister, LaVonne Myers of Rochester.
A son, Larry, his parents, one brother and two grandchildren preceded him in death.
A Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, February 26 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with Revs. James Callahan and Caesar Dralega officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery at Oak Ridge.

Richardson, Wallace "Wally"
Wallace "Wally" Richardson, 80, of Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield, Minn., and formerly of St. Charles, Minn., died Saturday, February 23, 2002 at the care center.
Wally was born March 13, 1921 in Reedsburg, Wis., to Robert and Irene (Champlin) Richardson. He moved to Minnesota as a child and lived south of Eyota, Minn.
Wally enlisted in the Army Infantry in 1942 and served until 1945. He fought in World War II in battles at Guadalcanal, Northern Solomons and Luzon.
Following the war he lived in the Twin Cities and worked for 3M as a licensed steamfitter for 34 years.
He was married
and divorced. In 1987 Wally moved to St. Charles, then to Chosen Valley Care Center in 1994.
Survivors include an adopted son, Michael Richardson; two sisters, Melba Wyler of North Fort Myers, Fla. and Betty Elliott of St. Charles; and several nieces and nephews.
Four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services were Tuesday, February 26, at Hoff Funeral Home's - St. Charles Chapel with Rev. Sharon Johnson of the St. Charles United Methodist Church officiating. Burial of his cremated remains was in Fort Snelling National cemetery in Minneapolis, Minn.

Duellman, Thomas R.
Thomas R. Duellman, 48, of Fountain City, WI., died Saturday, February 23, 2002, surrounded by his family and friends, after a courageous battle with cancer at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, LaCrosse, WI.
He was born on November 4, 1953 in Winona, to Ralph E. and Eloda J. (Brewer) Duellman. On October 30, 1976, he married
Mary Jo Slaby at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Arcadia, WI.
Tom is a graduate of Cochrane-Fountain City High School and Winona State University with a B.S. Degree.
Tom worked as a service technician since 1978 for DCM Tech of Winona.
He is a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Fountain City, WI., where he is a past member of its church council; he served 16 years as clerk on the Milton Town Board and also as treasurer for 2 of those years; he is a member of the Quad County ATV Club.
His pride and joy were his wife, daughters and his lawn.
Tom is survived by his wife, Mary Jo; daughters, Sarah and Samantha, both at home; parents, Ralph and Eloda Duellman, Fountain City; sister, Nancy (William) Miller and their daughters, Jill and Beth of Boscobel, Wis.; father and mother-in-law, Eugene and Wanda Slaby, Arcadia, Wis; sisters-in-law, Patty Slaby, River Falls, Wis., Ann and Bryan Hoch, Alma, Wis. and Karen and Dan Culbertson, Radcliff, KY.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fountain City, WI. on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Feb., 27th at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Douglas Charles Robertson officiating. Interment will be in the spring at St. Mary's cemetery, Fountain City.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial gifts to Gundersen Lutheran Cancer Research of LaCrosse, WI.
