Norman G. Judy, 80, Rt. 4, Winona, died Monday, July 23, 2001 at his home.
Norman was born September 18, 1920 in Springfield, SD, to Joseph and Lucinda (Vanderploge) Judy. He married
LaVina V. Sulick. They had five children.
A Memorial Mass was offered Thursday, July 26, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Minnesota City, with Rev. Edward Cunningham OMI and Rev. William J. Kulas officiating. Burial was in St. Paul's Church cemetery.

Kochendoerfer, Violet
Violet Kochendoerfer, a retired Unitarian Universalist minister, died Sunday, July 22, 2001.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, July 25, at the First Unitarian Church in Duluth, Minn.
Welch, Harry J., Jr.
Harry J. Welch Jr., 77, of 68 Hamilton St., died Monday, July 23, 2001 at his home.
Harry was born July 19, 1924 in Winona, to Harry and Dora (Schultz) Welch.
He was employed at Peerless Chain Co. for 41 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of St. John Nepomucene Parish. Harry served in the U.S. Navy in World War II.
Harry is survived by a few cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Eugene, who was lost at sea during World War II.
A funeral service was held Friday, July 27, at Watkowski-Pronschinske Funeral Chapel with Rev. Daniel R. Dernek officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery. Members of American Legion Leon J. Wetzel Post No. 9 served as pallbearers.

Radomski, Frank L.
Frank L. Radomski, 63, Arcadia, Wis., died Wednesday, July 25, 2001 at his home.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, July 28, at Holy Family Catholic Church Upper Unit in Arcadia, with Rev. Patrick Umberger officiating. Burial was in St. Stanislaus cemetery, Arcadia.
Stenzel, Carolee L.
Carolee L. Stenzel, 69, of Delavan, Minn., died Thursday, July 26, 2001 at her home from complications of cancer.
She was born January 7, 1932, the daughter of Henry H. and Ada (Kontzelmann) Biesterfeld in Wells, Minn. She married
James J. Stenzel on April 11, 1950 in Wells, Minn.
Carolee graduated from Wells High School in 1949. The couple lived in the Winona area for over 20 years and six years ago moved to Delavan. She worked in the Mankato, Mapleton, and Wells Senior Nutrition sites. She was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church and the VFW Auxiliary in Wells. She loved crocheting and gardening.
She is survived by her husband, James J.Stenzel of Delavan; her children, Gary and wife Debbie Stenzel of Ocala, Fla., Pat and husband Dennis Swanson of Winona, Randy and wife Shelly Stenzel of Lisbon, Iowa, Connie and husband Paul Stiever of Cottage Grove, Minn., Joan Stenzel of Winona, and James M. and wife Virginia Stenzel of Delavan; nineteen grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; a brother, Les (Ione) Biesterfeld of Clarks Grove, Minn.; and three sisters, LaDonna Brandt of Mankato, Minn., Jean (Bill) Braun of Battle Lake, Minn., and Joyce (Bert) Salisbury of Tempe, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepmother, Esther (Mohr) Biesterfeld, and her half-sister, Murtice Yost.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells with Father Eugene Stenzel officiating. Burial will be in St. Casimir Catholic cemetery in Wells.
Visitation will be at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells on Monday, July 30, from 5-8 p.m., with a VFW Prayer Service at 5 p.m., and a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday, with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. at the church.

Olness, Sibert Maynard
Sibert Maynard Olness, 82, of 1559 West King St., passed away Monday, April 3, 2000 at his home in Winona.
Sibert, known as Maynard, was born June 22, 1917, at Peterson, MN to John and Bertha (Hermanson) Olness. After graduating from Peterson High School as Salutatorian of his class, he farmed with his dad on the family farm.
He was married
to Corrine Margaret Boyum by Dr. Oscar C. Hanson on June 20, 1945, at the Arendahl Lutheran Church, rural Peterson. After their marriage they settled in Winona where Maynard was employed at Bay State Milling Co. for 39-1/2 years, where he ran the grain elevator.
Maynard enjoyed many hobbies including hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was an avid history buff, enjoyed reading and watching Vikings football. His time spent with his family and five grandchildren was most important to him. He also had been a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
After retiring from Bay State Milling, he enjoyed traveling with his wife Corrine.
Maynard was a member of Central Lutheran Church for 46 years.
He is survived by his wife, Corrine; three children, Bonnie (Robert) Simonet of St. Paul, MN, Susan Frosch of Winona, and James of Roseville, MN; five grandchildren, David and Ryan Simonet of St. Paul, and Peter, Andrew and Elizabeth Frosch of Winona; a brother, Manvel Olness of Rushford, MN; three sisters, Berdine (Hubert) Highum of Peterson, MN, Olive (Palmer) Peterson of Rushford, MN, and Evelyn (Ronald) Bremseth of Rushford; and many nieces and nephews.
Maynard was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Joseph and Conrad, and a son-in-law, Mark Frosch.
Funeral services were Saturday, April 8 at Central Lutheran Church with Pastor Wade E. Davick officiating. Burial was in Arendahl Lutheran cemetery, rural Peterson.
Memorials may be directed to the Arendahl Lutheran cemetery Association or to the Central Lutheran Church Building Fund.
Pallbearers were Jerry Sawyer, Scott Moran, Wayne Highum, Murton Boyum, Cortland Humble and George Hovland.
Honorary pallbearers were considered former associates of Bay State Milling Co.
"God saw he was getting tired, so he put his arms around him and whispered 'come with me.' With tearful eyes we watched him suffer and saw him fade away. Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best."

John Wendell "Jack" Masepohl, 61, of Plummer, ID, died Monday, April 3, 2000 at his home.
Memorial services with cremation were in Plummer. Further services in Winona are pending.

Leo E. "Rocky" Pickart, 71, Lewiston, MN, died Wednesday, April 5, 2000 at Winona Community Memorial Hospital.

Kilcoyne, Sister Adrian
Sister Adrian Kilcoyne, 101, a Franciscan Sister of the Congregation of Our Lady of Lourdes, Rochester, MN, who served as an educator, died on Tuesday, April 4, 2000 at Assisi Heights, Rochester.
Born Mary Martha Kilcoyne on March 25, 1899 in Huntington, WV, Sister Adrian entered the Franciscan Congregation in 1914 from Holy Redeemer Parish, Portsmouth, OH. She made profession of vows in 1917 and began her teaching ministry at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Easton, MN. She taught in various schools in Minnesota, including Caledonia, Owatonna, Fairmont, Lake City, Delano, Adrian, Fulda, Waseca and Adams. She also taught in Ironton and Portsmouth, OH, and Chicago. She also ministered in domestic care to the Franciscan Sisters from 1968-1976 in Easton, Sleepy Eye and St. James, MN. She came to Assisi Heights in 1976 and celebrated her diamond jubilee in 1977.
Sister Adrian is survived by her Franciscan Community.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, April 7 in the Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes, Assisi Heights, with Rev. Jack Krogh officiating. Burial was in Calvary cemetery.
Binczyk, Elizabeth A.
Elizabeth A. Binczyk, 95, 657 East Third St., died Friday, April 7, 2000 at the Watkins Home.
She was born July 8, 1904 in Winona to Vincent and Veronica (Lilla) Binczyk.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Liberty Paper Box Company for 35 years.
She was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish and its Rosary and Sacred Heart Societies, and also the Polish Museum.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and four sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday, April 10 at 2 p.m. at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church with Rev. Robert G. Meyer officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 1 p.m. until time of the Mass at the church.

Haedtke, Ervin W.
Ervin W. Haedtke, 71, of Rt. 2, Winona (Wilson, MN), died Wednesday, April 5, 2000.
He was born March 5, 1929 in Warren Township, to Herbert and Helen (Warnken) Haedtke. He married
Karen Christopherson August 16, 1958 in Winona.
He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean conflict in 1954-55.
He farmed in Wilson Township and lived in Winona County his whole life.
He was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, the National Farmer's Organization for which he served as treasurer for many years, the Lewiston American Legion Post #90, and served on the board of Frank Hill cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Karen; children, Helen (Ron) Philipps of Witoka, MN, Cindy (Dave) Loberg of Red Wing, MN, and Randy Haedtke of Wilson; grandchildren, Alison Philipps, and Scott, Kristen and Lindsey Loberg; brothers, Willard (Elayne) Haedtke of Winona and Jack (Carole) Headtke of Paso Robles, CA; sisters, Doris Hanson of Winona, and Arlene Prinzing of Rochester, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Giversen and a brother, Vernon Haedtke.
Ervin enjoyed farming, polka dancing, playing cards, having breakfast with his friends, and he loved and lived for his children and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 10 at Grace Presbyterian Church with Rev. Hugh Drennan officiating. Burial will be in Frank Hill cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Martin-Myhre Funeral Home, where there will be a 7:45 p.m. devotional service. Visitation will also be held after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church.
Memorials may be made to donor's choice.
