Lee Anna Draver
Lee Anna Draver, 80, former longtime resident of Hammond Avenue, died Tuesday, May 1, 2001, in St. Francis in the Park Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born to Anna (Kieser) and Paul H. Heimerl in Winsted, Minn., on Sept. 6, 1920, and was a Superior resident for most of her life.
She was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church and was a very active former member of Zion Lutheran Church, having served as their financial secretary for five years. She also taught Sunday school there, served on their building committee, and was a member of their choir and altar guild. She was a former member of the Superior Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Lee Anna was very active politically and had formerly served on the city of Superior's Zoning Board.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth George Draver, on Jan. 1, 1994; a sister, Win Hagstrom; and a brother, Robert Heimerl.
She is survived by her sons, Dr. Richard L. (Carol) Palm of Lenexa, Kan., and Gaylord W. (Dawn M.) Palm of Superior; a stepdaughter, Susan A. Daniels of Pasadena, Calif., granddaughters Julie Palm-Hutchison of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Amanda Daniels of Santa Barbara, Calif., and a brother, Dr. Ramon Heimerl of Greeley, Colo.
Service: 11 a.m. today in Pilgrim Lutheran Church, the Rev. David Eckman officiating. Pallbearers will be: Tim Cronin, Herb Bergson, Pat Remington, David Starkey, Tracy Anderson and Tom Blatt. Arrangements are by Downs Funeral Home, Superior.
Richard J. "Dick" Dailey
Richard J. "Dick" Dailey, 70, of Superior died Friday, March 2, 2001, in St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth.
Dick is survived by his wife, Alice; daughters Dorinda (Bob) Sorenson and Jill Hoivik, both of Superior.
Visitation: 10 until the 11 a.m. service Tuesday in Christ Lutheran Church. Interment in Greenwood cemetery. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church. Arrangements by Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home.
Myrna B. Pearson
Myrna B. Pearson, 91, of Detroit Lakes, Minn., formerly of Superior, died Sunday, March 4, 2001, in Emmanuel Nursing Home, Detroit Lakes.
Myrna was born Sept. 17, 1909, in Superior to Olaf and Anna (Nelson) Amundson. She was raised and educated in Superior and married
Frederick Pearson there Aug. 27, 1932. They made their home in Superior. He died in 1984. She moved to Detroit Lakes in 1996.
She is survived by sons Roger (Donna) of Superior and David of Madison, Wis.; a daughter, Arlene (Lloyd) Olson of Detroit Lakes; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Ofstad of Monterey Park, Calif.
Visitation: 10-11 a.m. Friday with a 10:30 a.m. prayer service in Emmanuel Nursing Home and noon until the 1 p.m. service Saturday in Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Superior, the Rev. David Eckman officiating. Interment in Greenwood cemetery, Superior. Arrangements by David-Donehower Funeral Home, Detroit Lakes.
Stella D. (Kowal) Sapik
Stella D. (Kowal) Sapik, 90, of Superior died Easter Sunday, April 15, 2001, in St. Mary's Medical Center Hospice, Duluth.
She was born Aug. 17, 1910, in Clarissa, Minn., to Simon and Katherine Kowal. She married
John F. Sapik on Oct. 30, 1934, in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Browerville, Minn.
Mrs. Sapik was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, a member of Cathedral of Christ the King, Railroad Carmen's Auxiliary, Polish Club Auxiliary and the Loyal Star of America.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents, Simon and Katherine Kowal; brothers Victor, John, Leo, Ed, Joe and Ray; and sisters Victoria, Irene and Theresa.
She is survived by her daughters, Vernetta (Gerald) Sislo of St. Germaine, Wis., Eileen (Jerry) Marshall of San Jose, Calif., and Laura (Charles) Eisenmann of Superior; sons Francis (Joyce) Sapik of Sun City West, Ariz., Ronald (Barbara) Sapik of Janesville, Wis., Jerome (Cindy) Sapik of Poplar, Leo (Becky) Sapik of Tempe, Ariz., and Allan Sapik of Superior; 15 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 10 until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial today with 9:45 a.m. rosary service in Cathedral of Christ the King. Father Daniel Dahlberg as celebrant. Interment in Calvary cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her sons, Francis, Ronald, Jerome, Leo and Allan Sapik, and her son-in-law, Gerald Sislo. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Hospice and Palliative Care, Duluth. Arrangements by Downs Funeral Home, Superior.
Ella Mae Haworth
Ella Mae Haworth, 78, of Superior died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001.
She is survived by sons James (Kathy) and Robert "Igor" (Angela); daughters Margaret (Phillip) Smith and Nancy Haworth; a sister; eight grandsons; a granddaughter; three great-grandsons; and two great-granddaughters.

Florence J. Bozinski
Florence J. Bozinski, 79, of Tower Avenue died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, in St. Mary's Hospital of Superior.
She is survived by sons Charles (Helen) and Edward (Louri); daughters Marion (Ray) Arnold and Gloria (Fred) Krivinchuk; a brother; two sisters; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Dorothy Elaine Goodiel, 70, of Superior died Thursday, April 19, 2001, in St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth.
She is survived by her husband, Ramon; daughters Katherine Snydle, Shelly (Ronald) Meysman; sons Richard Larsen, Kenneth (Evie) Goodiel, Jimmey (Patty) Goodiel, Gerald (Anne) Goodiel; 12 grandchildren; a sister and two brothers.

Barbara Ann Tucker, 84, of Superior died Tuesday, April 17, 2001.
She is survived by sons Jim and Terry; daughters, Nancy McNamara, Denise Tucker and Lori (Wilder) Johnson; a brother, Steve Stromko; three grandchildren; a great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews.
