Jerald Lloyd Shull, 75, of Northome, Minn., died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Lois; his children, Loretta (Rodney) Dunnell, and Ernest, Ronald and Larry (Shelly) Shull; five siblings; a sister-in-law; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
Visitation: 5-8 p.m. Thursday in Cease Family Funeral Home, Blackduck, Minn., and from 1 until the 2 p.m. service Friday in Hope Lutheran Church, Northome, Minn. Interment in Forest Hill cemetery, Northome.
BURNETTE ANN (HEIBEL) TORGERSON
Burnette Ann (Heibel) Torgeson, 87, of International Falls, formerly of Shooks, Minn., died Friday, Oct. 19, 2001, in Falls Good Samaritan Center, International Falls.
She is survived by her children, Carol (Roy) Miller, Norma (Clair) Hall, Audrey (Henry) Urban and Hilda Greenlee, all of International Falls, James Torgerson of Williams, Minn., and Wendy (Phil) Hopfner of Englewood, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Mildred Heibel of Jacksonville, Fla., Gerda Peterson of Kelliher and Aaste Lindmark of Bemidji; and a brother-in-law, Martin Torgerson of Great Falls, Mont.
MEMORIAL MASS: 11 a.m. Friday in St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, International Falls. Burial in St. Joseph's Catholic cemetery, Shooks.

Frances M. Christofferson, 92, of Erskine, Minn., formerly of Deer River died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001, in Erskine.

MARY BASTA OLSON
Mary Basta Olson, 85, of Crane Lake, Minn., passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen; her son, Larry; grandchildren Tammy, Jeffery, Kenny, Jean and Michael; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Amelia Toscano; and a brother, Joe Basta.

LAVERNE "BEVERLY" SWANSON
LaVerne "Beverly" Swanson, 70, of Keewatin died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001, in Buchanan Nursing Home, Chisholm.
She is survived by her special friend, Ernest K. Gallina and family; her close friend, Sandy Warner of Hibbing; and her dog, Pretty Boy.

GENEVIEVE PARISH HAMLIN
Genevieve Parish Hamlin, 87, of Overland Park, Kan., formerly of Moose Lake died and entered eternal rest Friday, Oct. 19, 2001, in Manor Health Care Center, Overland Park, Kan.
She was born Dec. 5, 1913, in Fergus Falls, Minn., to Samuel L. and Bessie (McKeen) Parish. On June 15, 1937, Genevieve married
Wesley Hamlin in Winona, Minn. Genevieve was a schoolteacher in the Preston and Robbinsdale high schools. In 1939, she moved to Moose Lake. She was secretary/treasurer of Hamlin Services Inc., parent company of Hamlin Funeral Homes and Hamlin Furniture Store.
Genevieve was very active in the Moose Lake community and Moose Lake United Methodist Church. She was past president of the American Legion Auxiliary, Mercy Hospital Auxiliary and United Methodist Women in Moose Lake. Genevieve loved music and directed the Methodist Church choir from 1939 until 1944, and was instrumental in starting the Combined Church Choirs singing the "Messiah." She also directed the junior choir in Moose Lake United Methodist Church and women's chorus from the American Legion Auxiliary, which won honors at the Auxiliary State Convention in Minneapolis.
After retiring in 1976, Genevieve took up watercolor painting and especially enjoyed working with abstract watercolors. In 1985, Wesley and Genevieve moved to San Clemente, Calif. While in California, she was a member of the Niguel Art Association, San Diego Watercolor Society, Midwest Watercolor Society, and San Clemente Arts and Crafts Club. In 1998, Wesley and Genevieve moved to Overland Park.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 64 years, Wesley; daughters Penelope (the Rev. Arnold) Vorster of Corte Madera, Calif., and Brenda (Gary) Kelley of Lenexa, Kan.; step grandchildren Rob Hampton of Shawnee, Kan., Sarah Estigoy of Clearwater Beach, Fla., and Shannon Kelley of Roeland Park, Kan.; step great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Logan Hampton; and numerous friends.
Visitation: 1 until the 2 p.m. service Tuesday in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake, the Rev. Jeff Daniels officiating. Burial in Sunset Memorial cemetery, Moose Lake. Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association or Moose Lake United Methodist Church in Genevieve's memory. Arrangements by Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.

Mike Milinovich, 87, of Hibbing died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001.
Survivors include his wife, Georgiana; children Michael, John, Mary Kay Furtado, JoAnn Fink, Suzy Kordish, Annie Collette and Anita Miller; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

TERESA LIEN
Teresa Lien, 77, of Babbitt died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, in her home.
She was born Dec. 28, 1923, to Felix and Ida (Tomczak) Klejeski in Split Rock, Minn. She grew up and attended school in Split Rock. On May 27, 1944, she was united in marriage with Leo Lien in Split Rock. The couple made their home in Superior and moved to Babbitt in 1960, where she resided until her death. She had been a homemaker most of her life until becoming a baker at the Babbitt Bakery.
She was a member of the St. Pius X Catholic Church of Babbitt and the Babbitt Sr. Citizen's Club. She enjoyed supporting her grandchildren's many activities.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister and six brothers.
She is survived by sons Robert (Shari) Lien of Minneapolis and Daryl (Sue) Lien of Hoyt Lakes; a daughter, Janice (John) Zavodnick of Maple Grove, Minn.; grandchildren Chris Lien of Denver, Matt Zavodnick of Plymouth, Minn., Michelle Zavodnick of Maple Grove, Minn., Mindy Zavodnick of Brooklyn Park, Minn., Mike, Craig, Scott and Steve Lien, all of Hoyt Lakes; and her first unborn great-grandchild; sisters Martha Caskey and Irene (Andy) Dunaisky, both of Duluth; a brother, Lewis (Alice) Klejeski of Cloquet; numerous nieces, nephews. and good friends.
Visitation: 11:30 a.m. until the 1 p.m. Mass of Christian burial Monday in St. Pius X Catholic Church, Babbitt, the Rev. Father James Scheuer as celebrant. Burial in Argo cemetery, Babbitt. Arrangements by Range Funeral Home, Hoyt Lakes.
IRENE C. KLEMETSMO
Irene C. Klemetsmo, 89, of Virginia died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001, in the Virginia Regional Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 10, 1911, to Andrew and Clara (Olsen) Anderson in Eveleth. She grew up in Eveleth and graduated from Eveleth High School. On Dec. 26, 1936, she married
Reynold "Rey" Klemetsmo in Petersburg, Va. They lived in Petersburg before making their home in Virginia. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Eastern Star and the Sons of Norway Lodge 40, all of Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rey; sisters Mabel Anderson, Helen Wrobble and Harriet Gruben; a brother, Art Anderson; and her parents.
Survivors include a daughter, Kay (Jim) Ryan of Hibbing; grandsons Jeffrey (Shelley) Ryan and Lee (Marti) Ryan, all of Buffalo, Minn., Adam Ryan of Hibbing; a great-granddaughter, Taylor Rey Ryan; a sister, Margaret (Mike) Jordal of Minneapolis; nieces Beverly (Bill) Kosmach of Virginia and Sharon (Tom) Forgie of Michigan.
Visitation: Noon until the 1 p.m. service Monday in Untied Methodist Church, Virginia. Burial in Greenwood cemetery, Virginia. Arrangements by the Range Funeral Home, Virginia.
