BROOKE ANN SIMPSON
Brooke Ann Simpson, infant daughter of Dawn and Troy Simpson of Cook, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2001, in Fairview University Medical Center, Hibbing.
In addition to her parents, Brooke is survived by her brother, Bo, and sister, Brenna, both at home; maternal grandparents, Leslie and Maryann Arvila; paternal grandparents, Robert and Hope Simpson; paternal great-grandfather, Sam Kiester, all of Cook; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
FAMILY GRAVESIDE SERVICES were held Thursday in Field Township cemetery near Cook. Arrangements by Mlaker Funeral Home, Cook.

Ronald Gene Kubis, 62, of Cloquet died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001, in his home.

Jack Shaw, 62, of Britt died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2001, in Virginia Regional Medical Center.
Jack is survived by his daughter, Debbie Rothstein; his son, Greg (Cammy) Shaw; sisters Audrey (Ray) Olson, Elizabeth (Dale) Gange and Vicki (Dr. Charles) Tietz; six grandchildren; three nieces; and two nephews.

Evelyn Jeanette Wagner, 81, of International Falls died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2001.

Roberta L. Grover
Roberta L. Grover, 48, of Watkins, Minn., died Monday, Aug. 13, 2001.
Survivors include her children, Tamara (Eric) Kohorst, Wednesday Grover, Lowell Grover Jr., and Rusty Talaricko; brothers and sisters, Duane "Butch", Justin, Hope and Ben Deschampe and Karen Morton; and grandchildren Beau and Kailee Kohorst, and Dakota Grover and Shantell Vanvleet.

Ronald Dennis Kottom
Ronald Dennis Kottom, 55, of Hibbing died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Marguerite; a son, Chris; a daughter, Kathy; a brother, Rick (Jeanne); a sister, Karolyn (Richard) Linderman; "sisters" Patty Shafer and Kathy (Roman) Ertelt; and several nieces and nephews.

Ignatz "Louie" Wojtysiak
Ignatz "Louie" Wojtysiak, 84, of Culver died unexpectedly at his home Monday, Aug. 13, 2001.
He was born in Kettle River on April 21, 1917, to Walter and Josephine (Milczarek) Wojtysiak. He was a World War II Army veteran, serving in the Palau Islands and at Guadalcanal. He attained the rank of staff sergeant in the Medical Corps.
Louie was a member of AARP and a life-member of the Cloquet VFW. He retired from Conwed after 34 years.
Louie loved gardening and furnishing his family with vegetables. He also enjoyed baseball.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael James; an infant son, Charles; brothers Joseph, Walter, Anthony and Louie; and his brother-in-law, Frank.
Louis is survived by his wife, Mary Elaine; his children, Raymond (Jan) of Brooklyn Park, Minn., Rosemary (Larry) Gardner of Washougal, Wash., Edward (Carolyn) of Culver, Stephen (Pam) of Portland, Maine, Margaret Baldwin of Chippewa Falls, Wis., Anne Podgorak of Superior, Arthur (Cathy) of Cloquet and Kenneth (Valerie) of Proctor; 24 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; sisters Rose Magdziarz and Martha (Louie) Zuk; sisters-in-law, Helen and Iola; nieces; nephews; and other relatives.

Katherine M. Milosevic
Katherine M. Milosevic, 99, of the Leetonia area in Hibbing, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2001, in her home.
Mrs. Milosevic was the last living immigrant in the Leetonia neighborhood.
She was born Nov. 11, 1901, in Lic, Croatia, in the county of Gorski Kotar. She immigrated to Leetonia in 1921 and married
George Milosevic that same year.
She was a former member of the Croatian Fraternal Union and St. Anne's Catholic Church in Kelly Lake.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George, in 1962; and daughters Annie and Frances Milosevic.
She is survived by daughters Mary Powell of Minneapolis, Katherine (Frank) Ongaro of Hibbing and Josephine Milosevic of Leetonia; a son, John (Betty) Milosevic of Hibbing; a brother, Marijan Starcevic and a sister, Ivka Mozgan, both of Croatia; grandchildren Jim (Peg) Milosevic, Frank M. (Mary) Ongaro, David (Gwen) Ongaro, Jeanne (Scott) Fahlstrom, Mary (Paul) Schoolmeesters, Edward Powell and Elizabeth (Mike) Burns; great-grandchildren Katy, Jacob, Michael, Matthew M., Andrew, Erik, Mary, Molly, Nicholas, Joshua, Matthew O., Sarah, Jessica, Michaela, and Emily; and numerous nieces and nephews.

John L. Gayton II, 87, of Two Harbors died Monday, Aug. 13, 2001, in Minnesota Veteran's Home, Silver Bay.

William "Bill" Johnson
William "Bill" Johnson, 45, of Coleraine died Monday, Aug. 13, 2001.
He was born Jan. 22, 1956, in Grand Rapids. He was employed as a warehouse manager at the Bentz Mobil Oil Co., Grand Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his special beloved pet, Spuds.

Dean B. Waltenburg
Dean B. Waltenburg, 35, went home to be with Jesus on Monday, Aug. 13, 2001.
Dan taught us how to live, to love, and to be loved. He is the son of Rod and Mary Waltenburg of Blaine, Minn.

ARVID "ARVE" ARTHUR SUHONEN
Arvid "Arve" Arthur Suhonen, 82, a lifelong resident of Wright, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2001, in Villa Vista Nursing Home, Cromwell.
He was born Feb. 4, 1919, in Lakeview Township to Hjalmer and Mary (Walli) Suhonen. On June 29, 1957, he married
Josephine Cebulski in Floodwood. Arve farmed his entire life and was still making hay a month ago. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Lakeside Community Club. Arve enjoyed hunting, trapping, haying and sports.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine, on May 27, 1999; sisters Ailie Suhonen and Helen Malisko; and a brother, Waino Suhonen.
Arve is survived by his brothers, Toivo and his twin brother, Niilo (Vera), both of Wright; sisters Laimi Linden of Duluth and Saimi Dingman of California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
