Viola Saice, 82, of Mahnomen, died Saturday, December 8, 2007, at the MeritCare Palliative Care Unit in Fargo. Preceding Viola in death were her husband; parents; one grandson, Scott; five brothers; three sisters; and her sister Rose’s companion, James “Bimbo” Pergl, Jr. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Dec. 12, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Mahnomen, with the Rev. Rick Lambert officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Anderson-Mattson Funeral Home of Mahnomen.

Former Ogema resident Gerald L. “Jerr Bear” Kozitka, 57, of Indego, Calif., died Sunday, December 9, 2007 in Las Vegas, Nev. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ogema, with the Rev. Del Stohs officiating. Friends may call at the church from 12 noon until the time of services. Interment will be in the Ogema cemetery. The David-Donehower Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes is serving the family.

Robert J. “Bob” Flett, 71, of Dent, Minn., died Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at his home in Dent, where he had been under the extended care of Lakeland Hospice since August of this year. Robert had been ill for some time with pulmonary fibrosis. Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16 at the United Methodist Church in Vergas, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., continuing Monday for one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, at the United Methodist Church in Vergas, with the Rev. Gary Klempke officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Vergas Village cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Furey Funeral Home, Vergas.

Georgina “Jean” Accobee, 72, of Naytahwaush, died Saturday, February 16, 2008 at St. Mary’s Regional Health Center, Detroit Lakes. She was surrounded by her family and more love than most ever know. Visitation will take place from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. at the Anderson-Mattson Funeral Home in Mahnomen, as well as one hour prior to the funeral at the church on Wednesday. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Naytahwaush. Burial will be in Free Gospel Alliance cemetery, Naytahwaush. Arrangements have been en-trusted to Anderson-Mattson Fu-neral Home of Mahnomen and Winger, Minn.

Mathilda “Tillie” Lenius, 82, of Frazee, died on Saturday, Febru-ary 16, 2008 in her home. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, with a prayer service beginning at 7 p.m. in the Furey Funeral Home, Frazee and also one hour prior to the service in the church on Wednesday. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Perham, with the Rev. Carl Noble officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran cemetery, Per-ham. Arrangements have been en-trusted to the Furey Funeral Home, Frazee.

Barbara A. Dutton, 77, of Remer, Minn., died Saturday, February 16, 2008 at the Cuyuna Range Medical Center. A celebration of Barbara’s life and resurrection will be held at Our Savior’s in Outing at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, with visitation one hour preceding the service. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge cemetery, Emily, Minn. Arrangements were entrusted to the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby, Minn. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred sent to the Barbara A. Dutton Memorial Fund.

Alice (Drumm) Rislund, 79, of Glendale, Ariz., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 26, 2008. Private services were held and the family said goodbye with a celebration of her life; she will be dearly missed by her family and friends; In lieu of flowers, Alice requested a gift to a favorite charity; the family would like to thank everyone who expressed their compassion, prayers and support during this very difficult time.
