Gilbert M. Koller

Gilbert M. Koller, age 78, of Shakopee, MN, formerly of Lamberton, MN, passed away at St. Francis Regional Medical Center, in Shakopee, on Friday, May 25, 2012. Born on March 8, 1934, in Lucan, MN, the son of Henry and Mary (Vogl) Koller.
He will be missed by his loving wife, Faye (Nelson) Koller; children, Richard (Wyne) Freseman of CA, Scott (Terry) Freseman of CA, Terrie Owens of WA, Mary Smith of WA, Paul Koller of Maple Grove, Kristin (Jason) Lamon of Shakopee; 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; sisters, Joan Collins of IA, Elizabeth Mulkerin of CA; brother, Joe Koller of MO.
Gilbert is preceded in death by his grandson and his parents.
Gilbert served in the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion and the Lion's Club, both in Lamberton. He farmed in Lamberton until 1977, then he started his own Insurance Agency. Gilbert retired in 2001, and he and Faye moved to Shakopee to be closer to their children. While living in Lamberton, he was active in the community, and was especially active at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He was very proud to receive the Bishop's Metal of Service. Gilbert enjoyed playing cards, but his main love was of his children and grandchildren.

Maria Moreno Cuadra, age 69, of Chaska, died Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Born on June 25, 1941, in Cavanas, El Salvador, the daughter of Lino and Maria (Iraheta) Moreno. Maria was a homemaker.
Survived by husband, Jose Mauricio Cuadra; children, Rigoberto Zambrano, Raul Zambrano, Martha Zambrano, Francisco Zambrano, Ana Cortez, and Miguel Zambrano.
Richard Annen

Richard B. Annen, age 57, of Jordan, MN, died on Thursday, May 17, 2012, at his residence in Jordan.
Born on December 6, 1954, in Shakopee, the son of Harry M. and Ann (LePage) Annen. Richard worked as a black topper.
Survived by sister, Arlene Miller of Shakopee; 2 brothers, James Annen and wife Dianne, and John Annen.
Carol E. Cody

Carol E. Cody, passed away May 17, 2012, at the age of 95. Devoted wife, mother, and friend. preceded in death by loving husband, Bob; parents, Joseph & Dora (Smith) Murphy. Survived by children, Bob (Arlene), Brian (Peggy), Keith (Marta), Kay (Ron Mohelski); brother, Joe Murphy; sister, Geneva Shannon; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Born in El Paso, WI. Carol was a country school teacher before moving to St. Paul, MN, and marrying her husband, Bob in 1947. They moved to Burnsville in 1956 to raise their family. After Bob's tragic death in 1969 Carol worked for the Burnsville School District and Data Sales Co., retiring in 1984. After moving from the family home in 1992, she enjoyed many new friendships at Eagle Ridge Sr. Apts. and Elim Care Center.
Mike Howard Carkhuff

Mike J. 'Howard' Carkhuff, age 46, of Shakopee, formerly of Wadena, MN, died on Monday, October 22, 2012, in Shakopee. Born on July 6, 1966, in Wadena, MN, the son of Ray and Leona (Kupfer) Carkhuff. He graduated from Wadena High School, and was employed at SuperValue. Howard's family and friends were the most important thing to him; he especially enjoyed watching his kids play sports. He also liked hunting and fishing.
Howard will be missed by daughter, Rachel (Craig) Larson; son, Brentan; mother, Leona; brothers and sisters, Father Tom, Mary (John) Blom, Sue (Galen) Hieb, Joyce (Jarel) Hieb, Bill (Diane), Trish (Bruce) Steinkopf, Jim (Laurie). He is preceded in death by son, Ryan; father, Ray; brother, Roger; brothers-in-law, Greg Hergott, Tony Nanik.
Elaine S. Fredrickson

Elaine S. Fredrickson, age 83, of Savage. Admired and adored by all, died on Friday, October 19, 2012, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee.
Elaine was born on September 29, 1929, in Credit River Township, Scott County, Minnesota, the daughter of Michael and Josephine (Hess) Thomas. She married
Gordy Fredrickson on October 28, 1950, in Savage, MN. Elaine worked for a grocery store, Continental Machines, and then decided to stay home with her children. She also did all the bookkeeping for the family business, Gordon Fredrickson Excavating. Elaine was a Life Member of the Prior Lake V.F.W. 6208 Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Gordon; children, Tom (Monica), Roger (Sharon), Denny (Becky), Cheryl, Doug (Tracy), Lori (Terry), Diane (Andy); 25 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret, Mary, Dolores, Jo-Ann, Joyce; brothers, Harold, Robert, Jack, Jim. preceded in death by parents, Michael and Josephine Thomas; sister, Carol.
Lisa J. Keogan

Lisa J. Keogan, age 49, of Shakopee, died on Friday October 19, 2012, at University of Minnesota, Fairview Hospital in Minnepolis.
Lisa was born on October 27, 1962, in Sioux City, Iowa, the daugther of John and Helen (Anderson) Peterson. She attended St. Louis Park High School, and was a cook at Friendship Manor Nursing Home in Shakopee for the last 10 years. Lisa married
Kevin Keogan, and together had one son, Nathan.
Survivors include her husband, Kevin; son, Nathan and wife, Emily Masters; brother, Randy Peterson and wife, Cheryl; sister, Sandy Peterson and husband, Will.

Mary Ann Deutsch, age 85, of Shakopee died on Friday, October 12, 2012 at Friendship Manor Health Center in Shakopee. Mary Ann was born on January 27, 1927 in Chaska the daughter of Peter and Anna (Derhaag) Hesse. She married
Lambert Deutsch on June 12, 1948 in Jordan. Mary Ann worked as a waitress at the St. Paul House and the Shakopee House prior to retirement.
She is survived by her four sons, Peter, Paul (Vicky), Harry (Barbara), and Robert (Julie); 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Joan Gliszcinski, She was preceded in death by her husband; granddaughter, Danielle; parents and brothers, Edward, Richard and Leo.

Lorrie A. Osterdyk, age 64, of Shakopee, died on Thursday, October 11, 2012, at her residence.
Lorrie was born on December 13, 1947, in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Harold P. Heinisch and Ebba E. Staffenson. She married
Dell Osterdyk at the Braham Evangelical Lutheran Church on September 21, 1968, and together they had two sons. C.H. Robinson was her place of employment for over 32 years. Lorrie was the President of the Minnesota Doll Friends. She loved her precious time spent at the family cabin up-north, where she enjoyed 4-wheeling with her children and grandchildren.
Lorrie is survived by her husband, Dell; sons, Greg (Lori) of Carver, Thad (Keri) of Shakopee; grandchildren, Laura, Sydney and Wyatt; niece, Paula Helgren; nephew, Brad Kopesky; cousins, Evelyn (Jim) Jerylo of East Bethel, Clara Ann (Robert) Stoltz of St. Louis Park; cat, Poohtoo. preceded in death by parents, Harold and Ebba Heinisch; half-sister, Joanne (Ronald) Kopesky.

Gene W. Hahn, age 80, of Shakopee, died on Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Friendship Manor Nursing Home in Shakopee.
Gene was born on April 21, 1932, on the family farm near Hancock, MN, the son of Bill and Linda (Hoffman) Hahn. He married
Lorna Chapman on May 6, 1952 in Herman, MN. Gene worked as a farmer until the mid 1950s, and then became a welder, and lastly he was a foreman at Tube Products in Burnsville.
Survived by wife, Lorna; sons, Terry (Kathy) of Savage, Roger (Annalisa) of Mountain Center, CA; grandsons, Rob (Marlene), Mike (Laurie), Tim, Andrew (Courtney); 8 great-grandchildren. Preceded by parents, Bill and Linda.

Ottillia L. 'Tillie', age 98, of Shakopee, died on Friday, October 5, 2012, at Kingsway Assisted Living in Belle Plaine, MN. She was born on the family farm, June 25, 1914, in Cottonwood County, MN. Tillie married
Bernard J. Meyer on April 26, 1941, in Mankato. She worked at Landkamer Funiture Store as an interior designer, and then for Pierces Clothing store doing alterations.
Tillie loved gardening, and especially loved roses. She also enjoyed reading, sewing, needle point, embroidery, and was a health nut who loved walking and eating healthy before it was popular.
Survived by daughters and son, Nan Meyer of Colorado, Jeffrey of Mankato, Jane (Gary) Jacobson of Shakopee; grandchildren, Michael (Melanie) Jacobson, Amanda (Brian) Buesgens; great-grandchildren, Mykaela, Tristan, and Hunter Jacobson, Raegen, Preston, Kainen, and Blake Buesgens. preceded in death by husband, Bernard; sisters, Veronica Goettl, Loretta Giese, Margaret Sohler; brothers, Alphonse and Francis Riederer.
