Zona Faye Henderson
Zona Faye (Holly) Henderson, age 59, of Marshall, Missouri, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.
Zona was born May 28, 1953 in Carrollton, Missouri, the daughter of Eddie, Sr. and Ruth Ellen (White) Holly. She graduated from Norborne High School.
On May 22, 1997 she married Clarence Henderson at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Marshall, Missouri, where they have been life-long members. Clarence survives of the home.
Zona had worked at Con Agra in Carrollton, Marshall Habilitation Center and retired from the Higginsville Habilitation Center.
Zona is also survived by one stepson, Trice Crump, State of South Dakota; two brothers, Mark Holly and wife, Daylan, Columbia, Missouri; Eddie Holly, Jr. and wife, Balenda, Excelsior Springs, Missouri; four sisters, Carolyn Holly, Donna Holly and Doroth Thompson, all of Norborne, Missouri; Denise Robinson, Carrollton, Missouri; six grandchildren, Natalia Mays, Chasity Mays, Erik Mays, Zion Williams, great-grandchildren, Elijah Dodson and Nalii Cowherd, four brothers-in-law, Harry, Mike, Paul and Clyde Henderson; one sister-in-law, Zeda Roberson and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her parents, Eddie and Ruth Holly, one daughter, Latasha Mays, two sons, Nathan Mays, and infant, Clarence Henderson, Jr., preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Marshall, Missouri, with Pastor I. B. S. Groves, Jr. officiating. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., at the church following the visitation. Burial will be in Stemple cemetery, Norborne, Missouri.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Marshall in memory of Zona. They may be left at or mailed to Gibson Funeral Home, 201 S. Main, Carrollton MO 64633.

GLADYS OLIVA KISKADON
Gladys Olivia Kiskadon 78, passed away April 17th, 2013 in Independence, MO. She was born in Carrollton, MO to Cazzie & Mattie Arnold on October 3rd, 1934.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband J.W., her daughter Karen, four brothers, Gilbert Lee, Robert, Paul & Tom and four sisters Kathryn, Betty Jo, Lillian and a baby sister.
Her servivors include her very best friend Carol Statham, Two brothers Pete & Ray Arnold, Daughter Brenda, Grandchildren Mikey, April, Jeremy, Becky and Mitchell, her Great Grandchildren Phillip, Victoria, Jessica, Makayla, Joseph, Paige, Jasmine, Jada, Caden, Chloe', Dylan & Lorenzo, and Great Great Grandchildren Drayden & Averie.
Gladys was a very hard worker and enjoyed green house growing. She was a very dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Services will be held in Carrollton, MO at The Gibson Funeral Home. Visitation at 11:00 am and Service at 12:00pm. Wednesday April 24th. Burial in Floral Hills East cemetery, Lee's Summit, MO.

Loma Nell Jones
Loma Nell Jones, age 77, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Life Care Center in Carrollton, Missouri.
Loma Nell was born December 21, 1935 in Miami, Missouri, the daughter of Maryon and Blanch (Oberdahlhoff) Dilley. She was a member of the Carrollton First Baptist Church.
Loma Nell was married to Jerry Jones. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1979.
Loma Nell is survived by one son, Burket R. Jones, III, Independence, Missouri; two grandchildren, Chelsea Sparks and husband, Thomas, Buckner, Missouri; Burket R. Jones, IV, Independence, Missouri; three great-grandchildren, Evert Sparks, Wayden Sparks and Dalton Sparks.
Her parents, and twin sister, Lona Bell Boulware, also preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 7-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Oak Hill cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri.

HUGO GERT RINAS
Hugo Rinas, 86, Raytown, MO, passed away May 16, 2013. A visitation will be held 6-8pm Monday, May 20th and funeral service 10am, Tuesday, May 21st at Ascension Lutheran Church, 4900 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO. Hugo was a WWII veteran serving in both Japan and Germany. He farmed in North Dakota. He moved to Kansas City in 1955 to join his brothers Otto and Ray. He worked in the plumbing business with his brother Ray for 35 years. He retired in 1989. He loved his bowling family and playing pinochle. Hugo was a charter member of Ascension Lutheran Church. He was blessed with a loving family that had annual reunions for six decades. He is survived by his children, Doug and his wife Pam, Maggie Wilson and her husband Michael, Max and his wife Ronda and Hans, two step children, Frank Ross and Charlene Lawson, thirteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, brother Ray Rinas of Raytown, sisters Evelyn Smith of Dallas and Aggie Haley of Mansfield, OH.

Anita Wheeler
Anita Wheeler, age 61, of Warrensburg, Missouri, passed away Friday, May 17, 2013 at Mid Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
Anita was born July 21, 1951 in Norborne, Missouri, the daughter of Howard and Lois (Glenn) Markley. She graduated from Norborne High School.
On July 17, 1970 she married Larry Wheeler. He survives of the home.
Anita had worked at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, Shirkey Nursing home in Richmond, Missouri; and was active in the Diabetes Association. She was raised in the Norborne Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, Larry, Anita is also survived by two daughters, Deborah Wheeler and Angela Wheeler, both of Warrensburg; one sister, Twila Brooks, Hardin, Missouri; one brother, Ronald Markley, Carrollton, Missouri; and two granddaughters, Joleen and Brittany Parr.
Her parents and one brother, Donald Markley, preceded her in death.
Arrangements are incomplete at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri.

Edna "Jean" Wilson
Edna “Jean” Marconi Wilson departed this life after a long illness on Thursday May 30, 2013 at the Amour Oaks Skilled Nursing Center., Kansas City, MO. The daughter of Laura Brusa Marconi and Charles Marconi, Jean was born November 7, 1923 in Pittsburgh, PA.
Jean graduated from Carrick High School in Pittsburgh, PA and later studied business. In 1943, Wilson was united in marriage to Frederick Williams, who was killed in action during World War II. She later married Booker T. Wilson, and to this union one child, Susan B. Wilson, was born. She was preceded in death by her husband Booker, her parents, a sister Mathilda Stampfel, and a brother Clarence Marconi.
Jean loved her family deeply and was a devoted grandmother. She also won many awards for her salesmanship from the Avon Corporation. She is survived by her daughter, Susan B. Wilson, her granddaughter Sharmelle Winsett (Jackson); her grandson, Justin and by four great-grandchildren Journie, Jackson, Ava and Justyce—all of the Kansas City, MO area.
Visitation for friends and family is scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, June 7, 2013 at Missouri Funeral Care Chapel, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m.. Interment will be held at 1:30 at Leavenworth National cemetery, with a repast to follow at 2:30 PM at St James United Methodist Church, 5540 Wayne Ave, KCMO. Dorothy Mae Fleury
Dorothy Mae Fleury, 71, of California, Maryland died May 8, 2013 in Leonardtown.
Born February 14, 1942 in Versailles, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Henry “Jack” Bellamy and Velma “Grace” Wright.
She was the beloved wife of William Lester Fleury whom she married November 18, 2005, in a “Hot Air Balloon” over Napa Valley, California, at sunrise. She and her husband lived in California, Maryland their entire marriage.
She worked at numerous occupations in retail sales, real estate, and owned/operated a dog breeding business prior to her marriage to William.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening, travelling, crocheting, and especially, working with animals of all breeds. She loved her two dogs, “Maggie Mae”, a West Highland Terrier, and “Kali”, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Dwayne “Eddie” Meyer, of Boonville, Missouri, and Douglas Meyer and his wife Liliana, of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. She is also survived by her sisters Jenny (Cricket) Renzelman and husband Gary, of Carrollton, Missouri, Velma (Penny) Land and husband Bobby, of Carrollton, Missouri, Paula Fricke, of Sweet Springs, Missouri, and Alberta Noah, of Carrollton, Missouri. She is also survived by her brothers Ronnie Bellamy, of Marshall, Missouri, and Richard Bellamy, of Kansas City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her brothers Herbie Bellamy, Henry Bellamy and Albert Wright.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri, with Reverend Wayne Hammar officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.

Mildred G. Collier Fisher Landtiser
Mildred G. Landtiser, age 99, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010 at Carroll House.
Mildred was born January 10, 1911 near Sugartree, in Carroll County, the daughter of Marvin and Lela (Williams) Collier. She attended Neal School and graduated from Carrollton High School.
On August 17, 1930 she married H. U. Fisher. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1965. She married Everett Landtiser on November 17, 1971 in Carrollton and he preceded her in death on January 25, 1988.
Mildred was a member of the United Methodist Church in Carrollton, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a housewife.
Mildred is survived by one son, Lee Allen Fisher and wife, Gayle, Hale, Missouri; two daughters, Nina Slinger, Kansas City, Missouri; Glena Henderson, Pleasant Hill, Missouri; one brother, Marvin Collier and wife, Naomi, Carrollton, Missouri; one sister, Charlotte Collier Sousley; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Her parents, one daughter, Catherine Fisher; two brothers, John and Foster Collier; one sister, Doris Kolas; and one grandson, Donald Williams, also preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:15 p.m. at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton; prior to the graveside services which will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at Oak Hill cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri, with Reverend Bert Hughes officiating.
The family suggests contributions be made to the H.E.L.P. Services Cancer Fund in memory of Mildred. They may be left at or mailed to Gibson Funeral Home, 201 S. Main, Carrollton MO 64633.

Frances Sowers
Frances Jereline “Jerry” Sowers, 95, of Brunswick, MO died on Monday, June 28, 2010 at the Brunswick Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at the Gibson Funeral Home in Brunswick, MO on Friday, July 2, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M.. Burial will be in the Elliott Grove cemetery at Brunswick, MO. She was born on November 4, 1914 at Rural Brunswick, MO the daughter of Arthur R. and Mary Etta Lousignont Gross. She attended the Rural Foggin School. She was married to Vernon Earl Sowers on April 4, 1935 at Carrollton, MO. Vernon preceded her in death on January 26, 2004. She had been a housewife and a homemaker. At an early age she joined the Prairie Chapel Methodist Church and later in life joined the Brunswick United Methodist Church. Jerry enjoyed crocheting and playing cards. She was a member of the Davis-Foggin Club for over fifty years. She is survived by one son, Gerald V. Sowers and his wife Shirley J. of Brunswick, MO; two grandchildren, Connie Sowers Reichert and her husband Eddie of Marshall, MO and Rick Sowers of Brunswick, MO; four great-grandchildren, Shaun Reichert, Shayla Buie and her husband Mark and Travis and Tori Sowers, and two great-great-grandchildren, Tanner and Taylee Buie. She was also preceded in death by six sisters and one brother and her parents. Pallbearers will be Rick and Travis Sowers, Eddie and Shaun Reichert, Mark Buie and Tanner Buie. Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve, Ron and Jim Deis, Delbert and Keith Yocam, Arnold Parker, Dr. Justin Cramer, Wayne Fletcher, Wayne Hardwick, Lee Allen Fisher, David Buie and Steven Meyer. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Elliott Grove cemetery or to the Children’s Ministry at the Brunswick United Methodist Church.

Harold Wright
Harold Arthur Wright, 86, of Brunswick, MO and a former Hale, MO resident died on July 4, 2010 at the Brunswick Nursing Home. Graveside services will be held at the Missouri State Veteran’s cemetery at Higginsville, MO, Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. Gail Brown Officiating. Visitation will be at the Gibson Funeral Home in Carrollton, MO, Thursday, from 12 noon – 1:00 P.M. Harold was born on January 11, 1924 at Miami Station, MO the son of Joseph and Edna Jennings Wright. He served his country during WWII as a member of the United States Army. Harold was married to Martha Emmeline Myrick on February 17, 1947. Martha preceded him in death on September 12, 2009. He and Martha co-owned and operated the Wright’s Grocery Store at Triplett, MO. He was a Christian and was a member of the Hale V.F.W. Post. He is survived by one son, Kenny Wright and his wife Rhonda of Triplett, MO; one daughter, Cheryl Zimny of Marshall, MO; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jean Grace. Memorials may be made to: the Hale V.F.W. Betty Fry
Betty J. Fry, age 72, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Tuesday July 6, 2010, at life Care Center.
Betty was born September 4, 1937 the daughter of James and Helen Riggs Donnell. Betty was married to Quade Udell Harden in 1953 in Wakenda, Missouri. On June 23, 1990 she was married to Melvin Dale Fry in Dewitt, Missouri.
Betty had worked at Banquet Foods in Marshall, Missouri for 15 years. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Betty is survived by three daughters, Roxanna Wells, Fayette, Missouri, Gwendolyn Hieronymous, Haughton, Louisiana, Diana Harden Shields, Bosworth, Missouri. three brothers, James “ Sonney” Donnell, Rogers, Ark. Ricky Donnell, Sedalia, Missouri, William “Billie” Kosfeld New Franklin, Missouri, three sisters, Tammy Estes, Green Ridge, Missouri, Patricia Frederick, Boonville, Missouri, Bobbie Perry, Las Vegas , NV. two grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, a brother a sister and a grandchild.

Forestina McClair
Forestina Marie McClair, age 80 of Kansas City, Missouri, formerly of Norborne, Missouri, passed away Tuesday , July 7, 2010, at Research Hospital, Kansas City, Mo.
Forestina was born November 25, 1929 in Norborne, Missouri the daughter of George and Frances Moss Duncan. She attended Norborne Grade School and graduated from Dalton High School. She was a member of the St. Lukes A.M.E. Church in Norborne, Missouri. She was a homemaker.
She was united in marriage to Clark McClair in Carrollton, Missouri. To this union four children were born. Barbara Williams of Kansas City, Missouri, Patricia McClair of Kansas City, Missouri, Karen Peters and husband Rick Kansas City, Missouri, Danny McClair of St. Joseph, Missouri, five grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
Her parents, husband, one brother, and one sister, also preceded her in death.
The body will lie in state Monday July 12, 2010 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at Gibson Funeral Home in Norborne, Missouri. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday July 13, 2010 before the service. at the United Methodist Church in Norborne, Mo.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday July 13, 2010 at The United Methodist Church Norborne, Mo. Burial will be in Stemple cemetery, Norborne, Mo.

Pearl Edwards
Pearl Opal Edwards, age 90, of Brunswick, Missouri, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Brunswick Nursing Home.
Pearl was born March 3, 1920 in Keytesville, Missouri, the daughter of Charles Edgar and Sarah Edie (Cox) Coy. She attended Hill School.
On April 16, 1938 she married Charles Edmond Edwards, II in Huntsville, Missouri. He preceded her in death.
Pearl was a cook at the Brunswick Elementary School and had worked in the dry-cleaning business. She had also worked at the White-Rogers Factory and the glove factory. Pearl was a Baptist.
Pearl is survived by three sons, Charles Edmond Edwards, III, Brunswick, Missouri; William Tecumseh Edwards, Brunswick, Missouri; Carlos DeWitt Edwards and wife, Judy, Carrollton, Missouri; two grandchildren, Chana Denise Wilson and Charles Edmond Edward, IV, and two great-grandchildren, Madalyn Abigale Wilson and Charles Edmond Edward, V.
Her parents, four brothers, Charles, Frank, Roy DeWitt and Marlin Leo; four sisters, Mary Jane McSparan, Cynthia Holtmeyer, Minnie Belle Hayes and Ruby Stephens; and one grandson, William Edwards, also preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 9-10:00 a.m., prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Gibson Funeral Home, Brunswick, Missouri, with Reverend Gail Brown officiating. Burial will be in Asbury cemetery, Salisbury, Missouri.
