EDWARD BURNETT
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Living the Word International Ministry in Slidell for Edward Thomas Burnett, 98, of Slidell, who died Feb. 14 at Northshore Medical Center.
The Rev. Lawerence Weathesby will officiate the service. Burial will be in the Pearlington cemetery under the direction of the Baylous Funeral Home.
A native of Pearlington, he was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pearlington.
Survivors include three sons, Edward T. Burnett Jr. of Pearlington; Ned W. Legohn Sr and James Black of New Orleans; two daughters, Ellanor Pollard of Bay St. Louis and Pauline Diggins of Pearlington; two sisters, Marrion Guidry and Ethel Conway of New Orleans; 15 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 55 great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by father and mother, Thomas Burnett and Jeanette Lennis; and two daughters, Pauline Keppard and Edwina Burnett.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at Living the Word International Ministry.

JEFFREY FAVRE
Jeffrey Joseph Favre, 77, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2008 in Jacksonville, FL. He was a lifelong resident of Bay St. Louis, MS before moving to Jacksonville, FL after Katrina to be closer to his son. He was a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis, MS. Jeff was a Personnel Officer for the U.S. Army.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alphonse Gabriel & Inez Adele Blaize Favre, Sr., his brothers, A.G. Favre, Nelius A. Favre, and Bruce E. Favre, and his sisters, Udell L. Favre, and Beverly Ann F. Scianna.
He is survived by his son, Jeffrey " Chris" Christian Favre and his wife, Lori of Jacksonville, FL, 3 brothers, Curtis B. Favre of Bay St. Louis, MS, Gregory E. Favre of Sacramento, CA, Byron "Pat" Favre of Longview, TX, sister, Inez A. Pope of Bay St. Louis, MS, and his 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
The visitation will be on Saturday, February 23, 2008 from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis, MS. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow in St. Mary cemetery in Bay St. Louis, MS.

ROBERT BRUCE
Robert Alan Bruce, age 47 of Diamondhead, MS, died on Sunday, February 17, 2008 in Gulfport.
Mr. Bruce was a graduate of Magnolia High School in Magnolia, AR. He received a B.S. degree in Banking and Finance and a B.A. degree in Music Education from The University of Mississippi and then went on to receive a M.A. degree in School Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi.
He was Vice President of NE MS Band Masters Association and was Assistant Band Director for Philadelphia High School; Band Director for Iuka Separate School District, Tishomingo County School District, Moss Point School District, St. Martin High School, Pass Christian High & Middle School, and was currently Assistant Principal at Pass Christian Middle School.
Mr. Bruce was active as Assistant Scoutmaster with Boy Scout Troop 20, and was the Music Director and a Lay Reader at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Diamondhead.
ob was devoted to his family and they enjoyed traveling. He was an accomplished pianist and enjoyed playing the trumpet. He was a consummate teacher and loved sharing his knowledge of music.
Mr. Bruce is preceded in death by his father, C.V. Bruce, Jr., He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Lady Anne Bruce and his children, Laurel Anne Bruce, and Alan Clay Bruce; his mother, Joy Bruce Faulk and stepfather, Arnold Faulk; his brother, Barry Bruce, his uncle, Charles (Dixie) Newton; his cousin, Cindy Harrison; his inlaws, Dr. Jerry and Jeannine Stone; his sisters-in-law, Lark (Richard) Christian, Joy (Reese) Ansley; his brother-in-law, Dan (Grace) Stone and his nieces and nephews, Damon Dial, Jessica Common, Jera Christian, and Shelby Glen Christian.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 from 6-8pm at the Riemann Family Funeral Home 9113 Kiln Delisle Road in Pass Christian.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 10:00am at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Diamondhead where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Parkway cemetery in Kosciusko, MS.

MARY MAE JONES
Mary Mae Jones, 82, of Waveland, MS passed away Thursday, April 3, 2008, in Bay St. Louis, MS. She retired from the Wheel Inn Restaurant.
She is preceded in death by her son, Ralph W. Rohloff, her daughter, Vicki Sue Bigler, five brothers, Stanley, Johnny, Harry, James, and Harding Johns, and four sisters, Dorsine Rowe, Catherine Marnich, Arbutus Rowe, and Gretchen Hicks.
She is survived by her husband, Lemuel T. Jones of Waveland; two sons, Robert M. Rohloff of Chicago, IL; and Charlie Williamson and his wife Cindy of Bradenton, FL; her daughter, Catherine M. Rohloff of Westland, MI; daughters, Kay Couch of Columbus, GA; and Cynthia Ann Bush and her husband Tommy of Bridgeport, WV; eight grandchildren, Ralph Rohloff Jr., Timothy Rohloff, Kristin and Dawn Reynolds, Corey A. Williamson, Thomas E. Bush IV, and John and Kenny Bush and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 8, 2008 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home with the prayer service to follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Waveland cemetery in Waveland, MS.

MIKE WILLETT JR.
Cornelius "Mike" William Willett, Jr., 69 of Diamondhead, MS passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 in Diamondhead, MS. He was born icon in Washington, DC.
He was a Veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the American Legion Post #77 in Waveland. He & his wife raised their children in the West Pacific, after returning back to the U.S. they made their home in Waveland, MS. Mike was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and a fair and honest man who will be dearly missed by all.
He is survived by his wife, Takeko Willett of Diamondhead, MS, his son, Evan Anthony Willett & his wife, Barbie of Salt Lake, UT, his daughters, Lorena Diluuk Willett of Koror, Palau, Suzanne Kathleen Willett & her husband, John Giuffrida of Bay St. Louis, MS, and Cheryl Denise Scharp & her husband, Steven of Syracuse, UT, his brother, Al Willett of Mathews, VA, his sister, Elizabeth Kelley of Reno, NV, and 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
The visitation will be on Saturday, April 19, 2008 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS with the Memorial Service at 11:00 am.
Flowers may be sent to the Funeral Home or donations to Hospice care of LA/MS, 770 Gause Blvd, Suite C, Slidell, LA 70458.

HAZEL COCHRANE
Hazel T. Cochrane, 86, of Waveland, MS passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2008 in Bay St. Louis, MS.
Mrs. Cochrane was born icon November 10, 1921 in Kite, GA.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Cochrane and her daughter, Diane Cochrane.
She is survived by three daughters, Claudine Jones, Jo Ann Reynolds, and Betty Doucet and her husband Mark, all of Bay St. Louis, MS; five grandchildren, Wayne Jones, Carol Jones Lea, David W. Jones Jr., Lynette Jones Lamey and James Reynolds; six great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Jones, Nikki Clingan Lea, Kenny Kientz, Philip Kientz, Blain Reynolds, and Katelin Reynolds.
A graveside service will be Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the Garden of Memory cemetery in Bay St. Louis, MS.

Marshall W. Strong
Marshall W. Strong, 77, of Bay St. Louis, MS left this earth Saturday, April 5, 2008 at his home with his family by his side.
Mr. Strong was a lifelong resident of Bay St. Louis. He was known as "Uncle Marshall" to many. He was a very loving and generous person who was always there to lend a helping hand. He dedicated his whole life to taking care of his family and anyone else in need. He managed the family's seafood business for most of his life. He was a huge part of everybody's family and will be sorely missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William D. and Urith Strong, his brothers, William D. Jr., Harold Sr., Albert, and Ernest "brother" Strong, his sisters, Veronica Hinson, Pearl Teabout, Eloise Williams, and Genevive Ellen Strong, his nephew, Charles R. Strong Jr., and great niece, Wendy Dougherty.
He is survived by four sisters, Nina Necaise, Elsie Klein and her husband John both of Bay St. Louis, MS; Dorothy Bounds of TX; and Evelyn Chadwick of NC; two brothers, Charles Strong and his wife Pat and T. J. Strong and his wife Gloria all of Bay St. Louis, MS. He leaves behind many friends and other family members who will feel a daily loss due to his passing. Many Thanks to Debbie and Steve Burch who gave him the opportunity to continue out his last days in comfort in a peaceful and caring enviroment.
Visitation was Tuesday, April 8, 2008 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm . A Rosary followed at 8:00 pm at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home.
A prayer service will be Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 10:00 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Garden of Memory cemetery in Bay St. Louis.

Betty Jo Smith
Betty Jo Smith, 76, of Waveland, MS passed away Friday, April 4, 2008 in Waveland.
She is preceded in death by a grandson, Johnathon Black.
Mrs. Smith is survived by a son, Glenn Dale Stennett and his wife Patricia of Kiln, MS; two daughters, Bobbie Black and her husband Willie of Alexandria, LA; and Peggy Holley and her husband Zane of Lumberton, MS; two sisters, Catherine Becher of Bay St. Louis, MS; and Fanny Swartz of Slidell, LA; nine grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Monday, April 7, 2008 at 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial followed at 11:00 am at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church in the White Cypress Community. Interment was at Lakeshore cemetery in Lakeshore, MS.

DORIS WHITE
Doris Buddendorff White, age 77, beloved mother and known as Grandma to many, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2008, after suffering a stroke. She left this earth to enter into the kingdom of heaven, to be at peace with God and her loving husband. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry L. White, Jr., her father, Kenneth A. Buddendorff, Sr., her mother, Marguerite M. Buddendorff, and her brother, James J. Buddendorff, Sr. Doris was a native of New Orleans and resident of Waveland for many years, and thoroughly enjoyed her paradise there until Hurricane Katrina. She was an active member of St. Clare's Parish in Waveland, MS. She then became a resident of Covington, LA, and parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake.
Doris is survived by her brother, Fr. Kenneth A. Buddendorff, Jr., her sister-in-law, Shirley Sanders, her sister-in-law, Doris Ramirez and her brother-in-law, Pat White, as well as her six children: Dennis H. White, Terrence M. White, Jane W. Joffrion, Elizabeth W. Mulrey, Eileen M. White and Linda W. Russo, as well as 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several loving nieces and nephews. Her family was everything to her.
Doris was born icon in New Orleans, LA and attended Dominican High School and Dominican College. She then devoted her life to her husband and six children. Doris worked for a local dermatologist for many years and handled the health insurance for the Jesuits of the New Orleans Province. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. Her door was always open, all were welcome, and there was always plenty to share. Her love and strengths will be missed.
Dearest Mom, may you find comfort in the arms of the angels.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 23, 2008 at 12:00 PM at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home, 110 Necaise Avenue, Bay St. Louis, MS 39520, and a Mass will be held at St. Clare's Church at 2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Clare's Church, 236 N. Beach Blvd., Waveland, MS 39576.

DENNIS JOHNSTON SR.
Dennis Roy Johnston, Sr., 57, of Kiln, MS passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2008 in Bay St. Louis, MS.He was born icon in New Orleans, LA, a resident of Bay St. Louis for 19 years before moving to Kiln, MS. He was a member of Lutheran Church of the Pines, sons of the American Legion, & former member of the Bay St. Louis Jaycee's. He was employed with F & F Distributing, Past employed with Allen Beverage and Times Picayune.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Jesse J. & Pauline P. Johnston, Sr., sister, Linda Ann J. Olivier, and his 1st wife, Cathy Johnston.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly H. Johnston of Kiln, MS, children, Dennis R. Johnston, Jr, of Waveland, MS & Caren E. Johnston of Kiln, MS, step-children, Megan A. Darius, Aimee L. Darius, & Austin W. Darius, all of Kiln, MS, his brother, Jesse J. Johnston, Jr., of Metairie, LA, his 2 sisters, Deborah Lester of Kenner, LA & Paula Carter of Bay St. Louis, MS, and numerous nieces & nephews.
The visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 from 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS. The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 10:00 am at the Lutheran Church of the Pines in Bay St. Louis, MS. Interment will follow in Garden of Memory cemetery in Bay St. Louis.

BEULAH PETERSON
Mrs. Beulah Chouest Peterson of Clermont Harbor, MS, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2008, at the Baton Rouge General Hospital, following a brief illness. She was 89 years old.
Mrs. Peterson is the daughter of the late Julian and Lolita Chouest of Cut Off, LA. She was married icon to the late Mr. Frank Peterson of Clermont Harbor, MS.
She is survived by her brother, Mr. Edison Chouest, her daughter, Joy Peterson, and her son, Frank Peterson, Jr. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Franklin Peterson, Genevieve Peterson and Joy Peterson. She is survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Peterson lived most of her life along the Mississippi Gulf Coast in the town of Clermont Harbor. She was displaced by Hurricane Katrina and spent the last three years of her life living with her daughter in Baton Rouge. Mrs. Peterson was known for her cooking ability, especially her Cajun dishes. Her gumbos, etouffes, and potato salad were the highlight of family gatherings. Her children and her grandchildren were her life. She had a great sense of humor and was always doing for others.
Mrs. Peterson was an active member of her community and church as well as an exemplary wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by all.
A Catholic funeral mass for Mrs. Peterson will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Clermont Harbor, MS, at 11 AM following a visitation, which will begin at 10 AM. Friends and relatives are invited. Interment will follow in Lakeshore cemetery in Lakeshore, MS.
