HERMAN CAGE, 66, of Nesbit, Miss., died of heart failure Thursday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Hernando with burial in Greenview cemetery. M. J. Edwards & Sons Funeral Home has charge. He was a member of Rising Sun Baptist Church in Hernando. Mr. Cage, the husband of Mae Lee Cage, also leaves two stepsons, U. T. Thomas of Nesbit and Mack A. Tuggle of Flint, Mich.; two sisters, Lorene Bell of Detroit and Emma Hawkins of Memphis; a brother, William Cage of Hernando, five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

JOHN ECHOLS JR., 78, of Byhalia, Miss., retired landscaping worker at the Memphis Fairgrounds, died of heart failure Tuesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Union Valley Missionary Baptist Church in Byhalia with burial in the church cemetery. J. F. Brittenum & Son Funeral Home of Holly Springs, Miss., has charge. He leaves three sons, Roosevelt Echols of Byhalia, Dayton Reed of Holly Springs and Granville Reed of Waterford, Miss.; three stepdaughters, Mary Hankins of Victoria, Miss., Mary Tunstall of Byhalia and Vertel Hankins of Chicago; a stepson, Willie B. Phillips of Chicago; seven sisters, Louise Davis, Othell Pool, Corrien Echols and Josephine Humphrey, all of Byhalia, Mattie B. Sellers and Lena Falkner, both of Holly Springs, and Ismar Beard of Aurora, Ill.; four brothers, E. C. Echols of Memphis, T. C. Echols of Flint, Mich., B. W. Echols of Byhalia and J. C. Echols of Holly Springs; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

GIRDIE REE SHARP, 62, of Byhalia, Miss., retired from Gem Inc. and insurance agent for Gillespie Funeral Home in Olive Branch, Miss., died of heart failure Monday at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hearn Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Byhalia, where she was a member, with burial in the church cemetery. Gillespie Funeral Home in Olive Branch has charge. She leaves four daughters, Carolyn Neal of Ozark, Ala., and Evelyn Sumter, Sharon Cook and Joan Usman, all of Memphis; three sons, Billy Sharp Jr., Larry Sharp and Randy Sharp, all of Memphis; her mother, Edith Mae Moffitt of Byhalia; four sisters, Peggy Taylor and Velma Jones, both of Byhalia, Mary Jane Becton of Germantown and Beatrice Dilworthy of Chicago; three brothers, A. J. Webb of Byhalia, R. B. Moffitt Jr. of Holly Springs, Miss., and Rayford C. Moffitt of Memphis, and 20 grandchildren.

BOBBIE ANN `DOLL' MOSBY, 40, of Olive Branch, Miss., homemaker, died of heart failure Monday at her home. Howard, Bernice J. Howard, Betty Milam, Jeanette Smith and Cecile Howard, all of Memphis; eight brothers, Henry Sledge, Frank Howard Jr., Curtis L. Howard, Ricky Howard and Johnny Howard, all of Memphis, and Alford Howard, Darren B. Howard and Michael Howard, all of Olive Branch, and three grandchildren.

ROBERT JOSEPH McGEE, 62, of Olive Branch, formerly of Greenville, Miss., retired pharmacist after 27 years, died Monday of complications from Huntington disease at Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford, Miss. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Waller Funeral Home in Oxford. He had graduated in 1953 from Lee High School and was a Korean War Army veteran. He also graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy in 1962. He had retired in 1989 from Kroger Co. Mr. McGee, the husband of Kay Hartness McGee, also leaves a daughter, Valerie M. Johnston of Nesbit, Miss.; two sons, Calvin Jeffery McGee of Madison, Miss., and Robert Kent McGee of Lake Charles, La.; his mother, Georgie L. Jeffers, and a brother, Louis Calvin `L. C.' McGee, both of Columbus, Miss., and five grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Huntington Disease Society of America in New York City.

TOM WILLIAMS JR., 77, of Ashland, Miss., formerly of Holly Springs, Miss., retired farmer, died of cardiac arrest Monday at Tippah (Miss.) County Hospital in Ripley, Miss. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Mt. Zion CME Church in Ashland with burial in the church cemetery. J. F. Brittenum & Son Funeral Home in Holly Springs has charge. He was a World War II Navy veteran. Mr. Williams, the widower of Mattie Bell Patterson Williams, leaves local survivors including two sons, Tommy Williams and Claudie Williams, both of Memphis.

WELTON `BILLY' HULETT, 46, of DeSoto County, Miss., truck driver for Quality Foods, died of cancer Tuesday at Saint Francis Hospital. He leaves two daughters, Sophia Hulett of Byhalia, Miss., and Dashia Smith of Columbus, Ga.; a son, Welton Durand Hulett of Memphis; his mother, Eula Mae Hulett, and his father, Elton Hulett, both of Byhalia; six sisters, Louise Wiseman, Dorothy Johnson, Linda Butler and Etta Hulett, all of Byhalia, Bobbie Jones of Collierville and Merline Sanders of Lexington, Tenn.; five brothers, Mark Hulett and Kenney Jones, both of Memphis, Larry Hulett of Bayley, Calif., Donnell Hulett of Wyatt, Miss., and L. T. Hulett of Collierville; his grandmother, Annie Laura Hulett of Byhalia, and a granddaughter.

Ivory, all of Byhalia, and Gregory McGowan of Washington; six brothers, Theodore Culp, Arthur Lee McGowan and Vinson McGowan, all of Byhalia, Virt Lawrence McGowan of Indianapolis, Albert S. McGowan of Collierville and R. T. Mallory of Memphis, and six grandchildren.

Mrs. Manard, the widow of Willie Odell Manard, leaves a daughter, Linda Allen King of Olive Branch; a sister, Effie Poole of Millington; a brother, Woodrow Hammons of Tampa, three grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. JAMES COLLINS TABB, 57, of Houston, Miss., native of Memphis, retired employee of J. H. Tab and Co., died of heart failure Tuesday at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, Miss. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church here with burial in Houston cemetery. Houston Funeral Home has charge. He leaves a sister, Nancy Tabb Dendy of Houston. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, any memorials be sent to the Houston First United Methodist Church.
