Darsie Bell Ivy, 71, of Potts Camp, died Nov. 7, 2006 at her home. She was a registered nurse.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 9 at Heritage Apostolic Church in Holly Springs, where she was a member. Burial was in Chewalla cemetery in Potts Camp. Bro. G.R. Travis officiated. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her husband, Lacy Ivy; a son, Tommy Ivy of Morristown, Tenn.; a daughter, Deborah Ivy of Potts Camp; two brothers, Ganus Gadd of Potts Camp, Clifton Gadd of Grenada; two sisters, Dorothy Hill of New Albany, Erma Lee Carlson of Collierville, Tenn.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Peggy L. Jackson

Peggy L. Jackson, 61, of Byhalia, died Nov. 8, 2006 in Memphis, Tenn.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 10 at Gadsden United Methodist Church in Gadsden, Tenn. Burial was in Gadsden cemetery. Brantley Funeral Home of Olive Branch was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her husband of 18 years, George C. Jackson; two sons, William and Phillip Laman; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a stepson and daughter; six step grandchildren and her adopted mother, Alexandrina Latham.

Mattie Louise Lapradd

Mattie Louise Lapradd, 77, of Byhalia, died Nov 10, 2006 at Trinity Mission Great Oaks in Byhalia.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 13 at First Pentecostal Church of Holly Springs, where she was a member. Burial was in Blue Mountain Church of the Lord Jesus Christ cemetery. Rev. Jerry Waldrop officiated. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her husband, Jimmy Lee Lapradd; a daughter, Carolyn L. Frankum of Byhalia; a stepdaughter, Debbie Camp of New Albany; two stepsons, Stacy Lapradd of Memphis, Ricky Lapradd of Pine Bluff, Ark.; three brothers, James Smith, Earl Dean Smith, both of Walnut, Clyde Columbus Smith of Middleton, Tenn.; four sisters, Shirley V. Wilbanks of Walnut, Betty Sue Hopper of Tiplersville, Helen Ruth Smith of Falkner, Patricia Ann Wilkerson of Middleton, Tenn.; three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Smith.

W.T. Nabors

W.T. Nabors, 93, of Muskegon, Mich., formerly of Waterford, died Nov. 8, 2006 at Knowllview Healthcare Facility in Muskegon. He was the widower of Willie Mae McAdams Nabors and a World War II veteran.

Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. on Nov. 12 at Hamilton Chapel CME Church cemetery. Rev. O.B. Boothe officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves two daughters, Betty Mae Vaster of Jeffersonville, Ind., Yvonne Figures of Muskegon, Mich.; a brother, Rev. O.B. Boothe of Memphis, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Oscar Lee Nabors; and three sisters, Roxanna Glover, Magnolia Curry and Pearly Nabors.

Pallbearers were Frank Vaxter Jr., Alvin Curry, Antoine Marion, Robert C. Curry, Ephram N. Curry and David Sadler. Honorary pallbearers were Elcue Curry, Johnathan Marion, Sylvester Marion and Paul Pitts.

Walter Randall Robison Sr.

Walter Randall Robison Sr., 43, of Horn Lake, died Nov. 7, 2006 in Horn Lake. He was a Baptist, an electrician with Defense Contracter and a Navy veteran of the Gulf War.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Byhalia cemetery.

He leaves his wife, Catherine Robison; two sons, Walter Randall Robison Jr., John Connor Robison, both of Byhalia; a brother, Charles Frank Robison of Victoria; four sisters, Pat Kamerzink of Red Banks, Sandy Wilkinson of Byhalia, Beverly Melton of Horn Lake, Deborah Dodson of Potts Camp; and many nieces and nephews.

John K. Skelton

John K. Skelton, 82, of Lamar, died Nov. 9, 2006 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Collierville, Tenn. He was retired from Witt Manufacturing Company.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 10 at Clear Creek Baptist Church in Lamar. Burial was in the church cemetery. Serenity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife of 61 years, Cassie Skelton; six daughters, Janet Skelton, Ruby Warr, Hazel Skelton, all of Lamar, Faye Culver of Waterford, Brenda Hampton of Jackson, Tenn., Linda Sweazy of Myrtle; a son, Lewis Skelton of Lamar; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Myrtle Irene Walker

Myrtle Irene Walker, 95, of Ashland, died Nov. 9, 2006 at Briarcrest Nursing Home in Ashland. She was the widow of Linder Lee Walker, a Baptist and an assembler with Defense Depot.

Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. on Nov. 11 at Ashland Church of Christ cemetery. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves a son, William Watson of Oxford; two daughters, Betty Bradford of Ashland, Peggy Dearman of Wiggins; a brother, Grover Spence of Abbeville; two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Pauline Echols Wooten

Pauline Echols Wooten, 70, of Chicago, Ill., formerly of Holly Springs, died Nov. 4, 2006 at Roseland Hospital in Chicago. She was a member of Logos Baptist Assembly in Chicago and a retired supervisor with Crane Packing Company.

Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. on Nov. 11 at Strickland Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery in Byhalia. Rev. S.A. Phillips officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves three daughters, Rose Mary Fant of Detroit, Mich., Theresa Allen, Diane Wooten, both of Chicago, Ill.; two sons, James Lee Fant, Larry Fant, both of Chicago, Ill.; four sisters, Virginia Wilkins of St. Louis, Mo., Eddie Mae Cathey of Byhalia, Minnie Pearl Phillips of Detroit, Mich., Alberta Merrell of Chicago, Ill.; a brother, Anzel Echols of Chicago, Ill.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, William Echols; and a sister, Arbesy Williams.

Pallbearers were Carson Cathey, Eddie Cathey, Jarvis Cathey, Shanel Cathey, Derrick Malone, Jabar Merrell and Rodney Merrell. Honorary pallbearers were Anzel Echols, Larry Fant and James Lee Fant.

Billy Wayne Anders

Aug. 19, 1932 - Jan. 27, 2003

MEADVILLE - Services for Billy Wayne Anders, 70, of Meadville, who died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, at his residence, will be at 2 p.m. today at Providence Baptist Church.

Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home of Meadville.

Visitation is from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Anders was born icon Aug. 19, 1932, in Franklin County, the son of Lawrence Anders and Luvie Graves Anders.

He was a registered forester and a member of Providence Baptist Church and served in the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brother and one sister.

Survivors include his wife, Willie Mae Calcote Anders; two sons, Eddie Anders of Utica and Lane Anders of Meadville; two grandchildren; and one sister, Glaydis Wells of Wyoming.

Calvin Coolidge Lewis

Jan. 9, 1937 - Jan. 23, 2003

WOODVILLE - Services for Calvin Coolidge Lewis, 66, of Woodville, who died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with the Rev. Allen Scott officiating.

Burial will be in Stewart's Community cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.

The procession will leave at 10:30 a.m. Saturday from 2642 Donegal Road in Woodville.

Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Lewis was born icon Jan. 9, 1937, in Wilkinson County, the son of Gladys and Harry Lewis.

He was educated at Johnson High School in Wilkinson County, was retired from industrial work and was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church and its Deacon Board.

Survivors include his wife, Olevia Hunter Lewis; two sons, Reginald Lewis and Henry Ray Brewer; two daughters, Rise' Tolliver and Sheila Brewer; nine grandchildren, Dishawna, Azayla, Nakayla, Reginald, Breanna, Henry Ray, Anisha, Rachelle, James, Ray, Brainna and Corey; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wallace Lewis and Seymore Lewis; and two sisters, Maple Rabb and Cleota Green.

Pallbearers will be Marvin Bethley, Roy Hawkins, Williams Hawkins Jr., Wilbur Hawkins, Desmond Hunter, Jeffery Hunter, Berthol Jackson and Larry Jackson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Ray Brewer, Alfred Green, Audria Hunter, Carl Hunter, Glen Hunter, Henry Hunter, Levin Hunter, Johnny Hunter, Newal Hunter, Reginald Lewis, Seymore Lewis and Wallace Lewis.

Mr. Bilbo was born icon Jan. 26, 1951, the son of James Bilbo and Louisa Carter Bilbo.
