Anna Marie Rash, 31, of Byhalia, died May 26, 2006. She was an insurance agent with Direct Insurance and a member of New Life Ministries.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on May 31 at the Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Byhalia. Rev. Mark Pearman officiated.

She leaves her husband, Tony Aldrich of Byhalia; one son, Tony Roger Aldrich Jr. of Byhalia; two daughters, Kayla Aldrich and Adrianna Aldrich, both of Byhalia; her mother, Tammie Finnegan and her husband, Fred of Byhalia; her father, Larry Rash of Sanford, Fla.; and one brother, Austin Ware of Byhalia.

Peggy F. Simpson

Peggy F. Simpson, 70, of Hickory Flat, died May 25, 2006 at her home. She was a retired Hickory Flat School teacher.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on May 27 at First Baptist Church in Hickory Flat, where she was a member. Burial was in Bethel cemetery in Hickory Flat. Bro. Johnny Rakestraw officiated. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her husband, James S. Simpson; a son, Larry Simpson of Senatobia; a daughter, Lynn Thompson of Olive Branch; a sister, Rochelle Thompson of Hickory Flat; and three grandchildren.

Doyle Van Young

Doyle Van Young, 71, of Byhalia, died May 25 at the Collierville Baptist Hospital in Collierville, Tenn. He was a truck driver for many years and was the owner of Warsaw Motors Wrecker Service since 1974, former owner of Warsaw Grocery for 10 years, and a volunteer deputy sheriff for Marshall County.

Services were held 2 p.m. on May 30 at the Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Byhalia cemetery. Bro. Leon Burton officiated.

He leaves his wife, Hazel Young of Byhalia; four daughters, Sharon Lynn Luttrell of Hernando, Miss., Brenda Sue Hamlett of Wynne, Ark., Denise Kaye Hill of Portageville, Mo., Sandra Leah Davis of Wynne, Ark.; one step-daughter, Karen Elaine Sutton of Whiteville, Tenn.; three sons, Doyle Van Young Jr. of Aurora, Co., Reginald Lynn Young of Murry, Ky., and Dennis Ray Young of Marshton, Mo.; his mother Iva Wadkins Young of West Plains, Mo.; two brothers, Carl Boyce Young of Guntown, Gary Wayne Young of Colorado Springs, Co.; three sisters, Shirley Baumgardner and Fonnie Quinn, both of West Plains, Mo., and Rita Jean Oldman of San Antonio, Tex.; 18 grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Van Alan Young and Michael Andrew Young.

James Henry Holmes

James Henry Holmes, 81, of Holly Springs, died April 12, 2006 at Trinity Missions Health and Rehab in Holly Springs. He was a Baptist.

Services were held at 10 a.m. on April 15 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Barton Baptist Church cemetery. Bro. John McMullen officiated.

He leaves a brother, John Wayne Holmes of Byhalia.

Pallbearers were Guy Lynn, Eddie Mills, Mark Mills, Ricky Holmes, Buster Holmes and Larence Mills.

Richard Brewer Loftin

Richard Brewer Loftin, 53, of Mt. Pleasant, died April 14, 2006 at his home. He was owner of Loftin’s Construction and Asphalt.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on April 18 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, where he was a member. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant cemetery. Rev. Kevin Yearber and Rev. G.R. Travis officiated. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Linda Ballard Loftin; a son, Richard B. Loftin of Mt. Pleasant; two daughters, Leah Loftin, Anna Loftin Teague, both of Collierville, Tenn.; his parents, Ralph and Ella Jean Loftin of Mt. Pleasant; his brother, Joseph Loftin of Potts Camp; a sister, Susan Loftin Snipes of Collierville; and four grandchildren.

Jackie Fay Richards

Jackie Fay Richards, 70, of Byhalia, died April 11, 2006 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Southaven. She was the widow of Charles William Richards. She was a Baptist.

There will be no funeral services. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She leaves a son, Jerry Richards of Red Banks; two daughters, Kay Truelove of Jackson, Lynn Summerford of Byhalia; four sisters, Gladys Jackson of Elba, Ala., Mary Johnson of Cleveland, Doris Watts, Fran Herring, both of Tupelo; four brothers, Doug Truelove of Kosciusko, Gene Truelove of Mendenhall, James Truelove of Jackson, Bill Truelove of Utica; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Truelove, Geneva Mansell; and two brothers, Ray Truelove, Harvey Truelove.

Jerry Wilkins

Jerry (Big Jerry) Wilkins, 64, of Holly Springs, died April 12, 2006 in Springfield, Mo. He served as constable in Holly Springs for more than 16 years.

Services were held at 11:30 a.m. on April 17 at Rising Star MB Church. Pastor Robert McClain officiated. Serenity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves a sister, Dorothy Anderson of Holly Springs; and several nieces and nephews.

Bessie Childers Murley
Bessie Childers Murley, 98, of Ashland, died Aug. 22, 2005 at Beverly Health Care in Southaven. She was the widow of Richard C. Murley.

Services were held at 10 a.m. on Aug. 24 at Liberty United Methodist Church in Ashland, where she was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. William Kemp officiated. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves five sons, Richard Murley Jr., of Southaven, Leland Murley of Bartlett, Tenn., Tate Murley of Olive Branch, Danny Murley of Brownsville, Tenn., Paul Murley of Piperton, Tenn.; three daughters, Grace Ausburn, Elizabeth Farabee, both of Memphis, Tenn., Lynda Cox of Southaven; two sisters, Ila Cox of Ashland, Blanche Webb of Memphis, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Al Cox Jr., David Murley, Richard Murley, Larry Farabee, Sid Bickley and Stanley Childers.

Thomas Joseph 'T.J.' Guido

June 23, 1919- Dec. 4, 2002

NATCHEZ - Services for Thomas Joseph "T.J." Guido, 83, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, at his residence, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Laird Funeral Home with the Rev. William Brock Watson officiating.

Burial will follow at Natchez City cemetery under the direction of the funeral home.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Guido was born icon June 23, 1919, in Natchez, the son of Thomas Joseph and Albena Miranda Guido.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving in the 42nd Rainbow Division Quartermaster Corps, a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Beau Pré Country Club and was active in the oil industry for many years.

Mr. Guido was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Bevers Guido; two sons, Al Guido and his wife, Sue, and Paul Guido and his wife, Suzanne, both of Natchez; one brother, George J. Guido of Natchez; and three granddaughters, Aimee Guido and Jennie Guido, both of Natchez, and Leslie Guido of Oxford.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Meason, Carl Voss, Lennie Schuchs, Bubba Kaiser, Bobby Harmon and David Heard.

Honorary pallbearers will be the "Rinky Dinks."

Charles E. Gibson

Oct. 9, 1930 - Nov. 29, 2002

NATCHEZ - Services for Charles E. Gibson, 72, of Natchez, who died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at Natchez Regional Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert Zawacki officiating.

Burial will follow in the Natchez City cemetery under the direction of West Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 1 to 4 p.m. today and 8 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home and from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at the church, with a rosary service at 7:30.

Mr. Gibson was born icon Oct. 9, 1930, in Adams County, the son of Annie Robinson and Rufus Gibson.

He was a dispatcher with Wilson & Gilbert Pharmacy, owner of Gibson's Demolition Service, a retired Adams County sheriff's deputy and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the Mississippi Deputy Sheriffs Association, the National Sheriffs Association and the Mississippi Sheriffs Boys and Girls Ranch.

Survivors include his wife, Sheirley R. Gibson; one son, Barry Gibson and his wife, Katherine; one daughter, Debra Thomas and her husband, Larry; three brothers, Rufus Gibson, James Gibson and his wife, Freddie Mae, and Leroy Gibson, all of Natchez; three sisters, Mary Williams and Rosie Lee "Mamie" Gibson, both of Natchez, and Dorothy Campbell of Valley Park, Mo.; one daughter-in-law, Karen Gibson; eight grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Adams County Sheriff's Office personnel.

Honorary pallbearers will be Barry Gibson, Larry Thomas, Rufus Gibson, James Gibson, Leroy Gibson and grandsons.

Margaret Emily Hollowell

NATCHEZ - Services for Margaret Emily Hollowell, 19, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2002, in Joshua Tree, Calif., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Minor Basilica.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church, with a rosary service at 7 p.m.

Willie Lee Bowman

DALLAS - Funeral arrangements for Willie Lee Bowman, 55, of Dallas, formerly of St. Joseph, La., who died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, in Dallas, are incomplete at Concordia Funeral Home.

Lura Vyrl Nolan
Lura Vyrl Nolan, 84, of Pittsboro, died Aug. 28, 2005 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. She was a member of Oldtown Baptist.

Services were held at 3 p.m. on Aug. 30 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce. Burial was in Poplar Springs cemetery in Vardaman. Rev. Joe Russell and Rev. Wayne Gullett officiated.

She leaves her husband, Doyce E. Nolan; four daughters, Tillie Gullett, Linda Ruth Hill of Oxford, Deborah Hamblin of Byhalia, Jimmie Nell Garrett of Oxford; two sisters, Hester Bourg of Tylertown, Charlene Clark of Hernando; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Steve Bryant, Jerry Haire, Harold Ward, Jim Lovelace, Donald Washington, Harley Washington, Darrell Clark, Roger Clark and Chucky Clark.

Master Demarkeun Qurtez Reliford
Master Demarkeun Qurtez Reliford, 6, of Abbeville, died Aug. 20, 2005 at his home. He was a kindergarten student at Oxford Lafayette Elementary School.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on Aug. 27 at Jeffries Chapel in Abbeville. Burial was in Owen’s cemetery in Abbeville. Rev. McArthur King officiated. Serenity Funeral Home Inc. of Oxford was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his parents, Berlon Muse of Oxford and Rhonda Malone of Abbeville.; a sister, Rahlayah Malone of Abbeville; his grandmothers, Lula Mae Malone of Abbeville, Debra Muse of Holly Springs; and his grandfather, Lerlon Hardaway of Holly Springs.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William Charles Jones.
