LEESDALE - Services for Forrest Mayberry, 71, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003, at River Regional Medical Center in Vicksburg, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Rock Baptist Church in Leesdale with the Rev. Carl Smith officiating.

Burial will be at Leesdale cemetery under the direction of Curtis Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until services Tuesday at the church.

Mr. Mayberry was born icon May 23, 1932 in Adams County, the son of William Mayberry and Mayola Calcote Mayberry.

Survivors include a sister, Mattie Ford of Natchez; three brothers, Johnnie Mayberry, Sr. of Natchez, Fraze Mayberry of Florence, and Minor Mayberry of Cranfield; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.

Lasonia J. Evans

NATCHEZ - Services for Lasonia J. Evans, 36, of Madison, WI, formerly of Natchez, who died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003, at Belmont Nursing Home in Madison, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Webb Funeral System Chapel with Willie Mae Elery officiating.

Burial will be in Painter Hill cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral System.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Ms. Evans was the daughter of Janis Elery Randall.

Isaac S. Sullivan, Sr.

Oct. 24, 1922 - Nov. 29, 2003

NATCHEZ - Services for Isaac S. Sullivan, Sr., 81, who died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Godfrey officiating.

Burial will be in the Natchez National cemetery under the direction of Curtis Funeral Home, Inc.

Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.

Mr. Sullivan was born icon Oct. 24, 1922, in Waterproof, LA, the son of Henry Sullivan and Corine Kennedy Sullivan.

He was retired from International Paper Mill after 38 years.

Survivors include three sons, Isaac S. Sullivan, Jr. and wife, Arcola Sullivan of Natchez, Dwayne Sullivan and wife, Artis Sullivan of Atlanta, GA, Alfred King and wife, Lizzier King of Greenwood; six daughters, Sharon Johnson and husband, Willie Johnson of Vicksburg, Irmatine Markham of Dallas, TX, Zeffra King of Oakland, CA, Jacqueline King of Greenwood, Cassandra Davis and husband, Robert Davis of Monroe, LA and Gwendolyn Jackson and husband, Leon Jackson of Natchez; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Luther W. Gill

Jan. 5, 1919 - Dec. 1, 2003

BROOKHAVEN - Services for Luther W. Gill, 84, of Brookhaven, who died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, at his residence, was held at 11 a.m. Dec. 3 at Community Funeral Services Chapel in Brookhaven.

Burial was in Easthaven cemetery under the direction of Community Funeral Services.

Mr. Gill was born icon Jan. 5, 1919, in Franklin County, the son of George W. Gill and Leona Howard.

He was a Baptist and served in the Army during World War II.

Abbie S. Arnold

Nov. 6, 1923 - Dec. 2, 2003

NATCHEZ - Services for Abbie S. Arnold, 80, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at noon today at St. Mary Basilica with Father Alfred Camp and Father David O'Connor officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. Arnold was born icon Nov. 6, 1923, in Natchez, the daughter of John Henry and Doris Louise Couillard Sanguinetti.

She was a member of St. Mary Basilica and the Ladies of Charity. She was also a member of Pilgrimage Garden Club. Mrs. Arnold was a regular visitor at the local nursing homes. She graduated from Hotel Dieu Nursing School and served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Mrs. Arnold was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Arnold, Sr.

Survivors include daughters, Betsy Arnold and Connie Schultz of Baton Rouge, LA; sons, Michael Arnold of New Orleans, LA, Jamie Arnold of Menlo Park, CA, Clay Arnold of Cedar Rapids, IA and Peter Arnold of Natchez; grandchildren, Mike Arnold, Jr., Abbie Arnold, Rachel Arnold, Katy Arnold, Matthew Schultz, Jacob Schultz, James Arnold, III, Caitlin Arnold, Abbie Arnold, Hannah Arnold, Nicholas Arnold and Ali Arnold; sisters, Betsy Yowell of Slater, MO, Dottie Arceneaux of Jacksonville, FL and Frances Trosclair of Natchez; brothers, Sonny Sanguinetti and Joe Sanguinetti of Natchez and Jim Sanguinetti of Covington, LA.

Memorials may be made to the James and Abbie Arnold Scholarship Fund, in care of Development Office, Cathedral School, P. O. Box Q, Natchez, MS 39121.

Rosa Lee Kelly

May 22, 1928 - Dec. 3, 2003

OCEAN SPRINGS - Services for Rosa Lee Kelly, 75, who died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, in Biloxi, will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at First United Pentecostal Church of Ocean Springs with the Rev. C.E. Killingsworth and the Rev. Andrew Kelly officiating.

Burial will be in D'Iberville Memorial Park under the direction of O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home of Gautier.

Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the church.

Ms. Kelly was born icon May 22, 1928, in Winnsboro, LA.

She was a member of United Pentecostal Church of Natchez and was a devoted mother to seventeen children who she raised to love God. She was dedicated to the work of the Lord assisting her husband in starting churches throughout Mississippi.

Ms. Kelly was preceded in death by her parents, Asbury and Nola Smith; a son, Bascom Ray Burr I; an infant daughter husband, Jewel Burr I; and two sisters, Georgie Mae Morro and Evelyn Anderson.

Survivors include her husband, Rev. Raymond H. Kelly I; nine sons, Johnny Kelly of D'Iberville, Donnie Burr and Buddy Kelly, both of Gulfport, Ricky Burr of Taylor, S.C., Jewel Burr of Bastrop, LA, Rev. Steven Kelly of Ferriday, LA, Rev. Raymond Kelly II of Vidalia, LA, Rev. Andrew Kelly of Gautier and Rev. Clay Kelly of Monroe, LA; eight daughters, Bonnie Wood of Ocean Springs, Cathy Hart of Gulfport, Debbie Ketzel of D'Iberville, Voncele Mondragon of Poplarville, Patricia Smith of Natchez, Sharlan Linton and Sheryle Shoendorf, both of Biloxi and Yvonne Tolbert of Natchez; three sisters, Linda Peavey, Diane Stephens and Peggy Atkinson; 63 grandchildren and 71 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be six of her grandsons.

Kathryn Ainsworth McClure

June 27, 1930 - Dec. 1, 2003

NATCHEZ - Services for Kathryn Ainsworth McClure, 73, of McComb, formerly of Natchez, who died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, at Hospice Ministries in Madison, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Diane Woodall officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. McClure was born icon June 27, 1930, in Bay Springs, the daughter of Dewey and Bertha Stringer Ainsworth.

She was a retired Registered Nurse. She completed her nursing training at Natchez General Hospital. Mrs. McClure worked at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, LA, and Florida State Hospital in Tallahassee, FL. She was employed at the Adams County Health Department for 30 years.

Mrs. McClure was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Myrtis Ainsworth McKinnley; two brothers, Oree Ainsworth and Sloney Ainsworth.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn McClure Clark and husband, Charles Clark and Mary S. McClure, all of Natchez; one son, Rensalare J. McClure of Canton; one grandson, Joseph McClure West of Natchez; two brothers, Charles Ainsworth and Huey Ainsworth of Bay Springs.

Pallbearers will be Walter Reed, Douglas Ainsworth, Bill Murray, Tommy O'Beirne, John Cain and Joseph West.

Dee Herrington

Dec. 31, 1937 - Nov. 27, 2003

FAYETTE - Services for Dee Herrington, 65, of Port Gibson, who died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003, at her residence, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mariah Baptist Church in Fayette with the Rev. John Frye officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home of Fayette.

Visitation is from noon to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. Herrington was born icon Dec. 31, 1937, in Jefferson County, the daughter of John Herrington and Bella Pree Herrington.

She was a housewife.

Ms. Herrington was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include five sons, Junior (Lesshorn) Herrington, Johnny Herrington, both of Fayette, Claude, Eric and Charles Herrington of Port Gibson; four daughters, Marie, Annie, Betty and Bobbie Herrington of Port Gibson; one brother, Willie Herrington of Fayette; two sisters, Mariah Smith of Fayette and Marie Fulton of Natchez; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.

Elodie Bryant

Nov. 4, 1935 - Nov. 29, 2003

NATCHEZ - Graveside services for Elodie Bryant, 68, of Ellisville, former resident of Natchez, who died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, will be at 10 a.m. today at Natchez City cemetery with Father Alfred Camp officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Ms. Bryant was born icon Nov. 4, 1935, in Natchez, the daughter of Elmer Bryant and Evelyn Hornsby Bryant.

Survivors include first cousins, Evelyn Wadsworth of Sea Ranch, CA, Blake Wadsworth of Natchez, Abbie Sinclair of LaFayette, LA, Ruth Easterling of Houston, TX and Mary Louise Rose of Memphis, TN.

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church.

Reola Lemon

Funeral arrangements for Reola Lemon, 54, of Lake Providence, LA, who died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, in Lake Providence, are incomplete at Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday.

John Luke Stevens

MOBILE, AL - Services for John Luke Stevens, 78, a native of Cross Keys, S.C. and a resident of Birmingham, AL, who died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, at his residence, will be at 2 p.m. today at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens under the direction of Serenity Funeral Home of Mobile, AL.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL.

Visitation is from noon until service time today at the funeral home.

Mr. Stevens was a graduate of the University of South Carolina, retired from the Navy with the rank of Commander and was a chemist and executive for International Paper Company for over thirty years, until his retirement in 1989. He married icon Lucille Cochran in 1947 and they remained married icon until her death in 1991. He moved to Birmingham in 1993 where he was a member and Deacon of the Dawson Memorial Baptist Church and was Secretary of the Homewood Kiwanis Club. Mr. Stevens was the youngest son of Thomas and Phalatiel Stevens.

Mr. Stevens was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas, Clyde and Jerome and a sister, Katherine.

Survivors include one daughter, Jan (Mike) Hinson; two sons, John Stevens, Jr. of Boston, MA and Darryl (Deb) Stevens of Irvine, CA; four grandchildren, Erin Hinson of Auburn, AL, Alex Hinson of Homewood, AL and Desmond and Tiller-John Stevens, both of Irvine, CA.

In lieu of flowers donations should be made to New Beacon Hospice, 2145 Highland Avenue South, Ste 110, Birmingham, AL 35205.

Mary Katheryn Fleming

June 7, 1937 - Nov. 29, 2003

MCCOMB - Services for Mary Katheryn Mayfield Fleming, 67, of Magnolia, who died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at SW MS Regional Medical Center in McComb, will be at 10 a.m. today at Hartman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Richard Root and Brother Jim Talbert officiating.

Burial will be in Pike Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hartman Funeral Home of McComb, Inc.

Visitation is from 9 a.m. until service today at the funeral home.
