NATCHEZ - Services for Lubirtha Butler, 98, who died Friday, April 16, 2004, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Webb Funeral System Chapel with the Rev. Samuel Hines officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Webb Funeral System.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Butler was born
March 6, 1906, the daughter of Marie Jones and Rumbel Wilson.
She was retired from Natchez Steam Laundry and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Isiah Butler; son, Larncie Clark; two sisters, Willie G. Davis and Vivian Wilson; brother, Crevie Wilson.
Survivors include daughter, Sharon Taplin; sister, Thelma Hammond; brothers, C.W. Wilson and Felix Wilson.
Pallbearers will be Willie L. Alexander, Joe Lee Good, Ben Hammond, George Brown and Andrea Hammond.
Cleo Smith
July 31, 1941 - April 18, 2004
NATCHEZ - Services for Cleo Smith, 62, of Natchez, who died Sunday, April 18, 2004, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at noon Thursday at George F. West Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lonnie Culbert officiating.
Burial will be in Byrd cemetery in Kirby under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Smith was born
July 31, 1941, in Wilkinson County, the daughter of Mack and Rosie Bland Sellers.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. James Smith of Kirby; six children, Rhonda Wardell of Washington, D.C., Charles Smith of Forestville, MD, Loretta Snow of Newton, Mack Smith of Natchez, Gary Smith and Trinnitia Smith, both of Kirby; brothers, Garland Sellers of Long Island, NY, M.C. Sellers of Jackson, Benjamin Sellers of Houston, TX, Thomas Sellers and David Sellers of Houston, TX; sisters, R.C. Sellers and Marvie Sellers of Houston, TX, Essie Woods of Herna, AK and Carla Sellers of Crosby; two sons-in-law, Samuel Wardell and Fred Snow; two daughters-in-law, Lisa Smith and Alice Smith; 13 grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

NATCHEZ - Services for Dorothy Mae "Dido" Tucker, 74, of Natchez, who died Friday, April 16, 2004, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Smithland Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Howard officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
Mrs. Tucker was born
April 5, 1930, in Church Hill, the daughter of Nathaniel and Ruth Melton.
She was educated in the Jefferson County Schools.
Survivors include seven sons, Lee A. (Eloise) Tucker of Chicago, IL, Robert E. (Amanda) Tucker of Buchanan, MI, Leo S. (Mary) Tucker, Ricky (Melissa) Tucker, Terry (Gloria) Tucker, Carnell Tucker and Llewellyn Tucker, all of Natchez; three daughters, Barbara Tucker and Terrilos Purnell of Natchez and Ruth Ann (Roderick) Alloway of Montgomery, AL; brothers and sisters, Roosevelt (Flossie) Weir, Clarence (Ester) Rowan, Eddie Melton, Jessie Lee Melton, Elsie Chase, Issac Tucker and Julia tucker; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; special cousin, Isabel Howard; a special friend, Ophelia Patterson, other relatives and friends.

Burial will be in Roxie cemetery in Roxie under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.

Mrs. Weaks was born
Aug. 27, 1907, the daughter of Jessie Tolbert and Gertrude Briggs Tolbert.
Mrs. Weaks was preceded in death by her parents, nine sister, two brothers, two husbands and one son-in-law.
Survivors include two daughters, Ernestine Mason Stanton and Marie Mason Kelly; one son-in-law, Rev. Leslie Kelly of Chicago; 14 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren; two nieces and three nephews; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Scott was born
May 13, 1933, in Adams County, the daughter of Alexander and Alberta Scott.
She was educated in the Natchez Public School System, was retired after 30 years of service as a presser with Allan Cleaners and Davis Cleaners and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
Survivors include one adopted daughter, Shanetra Scott; one grandson, Travion McGuffery; two like daughters, Karen (Nolan) Hills of Baton Rouge, LA and Patricia Isaac of Natchez; one sister-in-law, Johnette Hicks of Natchez; nieces, Carlan (Michelle) Williams, Lyvonne McMorris, Felecia (John) Jefferson, all of Baton Rouge, Gloria (Charles) Carter of Columbia, S.C., Gwendolyn (Dale) Jackson of Detroit, MI and Alfreda Hicks of new Orleans, LA; nephews, Daryl McMorris, Juan Isaac, Cory (Allison) Isaac, Keith Matthews, Richard (Barbara) Hicks of Baton Rouge, Plez Albert Hicks of Houston, TX and James Russel Hicks of New Orleans; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Green was born
Aug. 10, 1959, in Adams County, the son of Eddie and Bertha L. Green.
He was educated in the Natchez Public Schools and was employed in roofing.
Survivors include mother, Bertha L. Green; three brothers, Clarence Green of Dallas, TX, Garnett Green of Natchez and Micheal Green Sr. of Ridgeland; two sisters, Lola M. Woods of Natchez and Brenda Squalls of Apple Valley, CA; and a number of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mr. McGee was born
Dec. 19, 1957, in Adams County, the son of Elliott and Leona McGee.
He was employed with Willie Polk Construction, was self-employed and was a member of Orleans Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Shardia Harris McGee; one son, Marlon McGee of Chicago; three sisters, Mattie (Wilson) Arbuthnot of Natchez, Rosie Butler of Chicago and Barbara (Harrison) Cage of Houston, TX; three brothers, Johnny McGee, Elliott (Marjorie) McGee of Natchez and Willie (Pasille) McGee of Biloxi; two aunts, Louise Quinn of Natchez and Maple Williams of New Orleans, LA; four step-sisters, Thelma (James) Credit, Barbara Washington of Natchez, Shirley Jones and Flora Jones of Dallas, TX; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Clarke was born
Feb. 3, 1955, in Hollywood, CA, the son of William Franklin and Jeanne Lambert Clarke Sr.
He was a beloved husband, father and son.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Clarke of Natchez; sons, Dylan J. Clarke of Fairfax, CA and Billy Clarke III of Natchez; daughter, Nicole E. Clarke of Santa Barbara, CA; parents, William and Jeanne Clarke of Natchez; brother, Jim and Debra Clarke of Huntington Beach, CA; sister, Bonnie Reed and her husband, Walter of Natchez; niece, Lisa Earhardt and husband, Michael of Memphis, TN; nephew, John Logan of Fayette; mother of his three beautiful children, Linda Millar.

July 27, 1952 in Brookhaven to Samuel Elbert and Willena Huffman Wroten. He was a crane operator for Edgin Construction Company. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his father, S.E. Wroten, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. T.E. Wroten and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Huffman and a brother-in-law, Howard Wayne Wallace.
Survivors include his wife, Sybil Wroten on Natchez; two daughters, Tabitha Wroten of Natchez and Karla Wroten of McCall Creek; one son, Dusty Wroten of McCall Creek; one grandson, Christian Wroten of Natchez; his mother, Ena Wroten of McCall Creek; two sisters, Opal Bowlin and Charlotte Griffin of McCall Creek; a mother-in-law, Marie Cothren of Brookhaven and a father-in-law, Earnest Hall and his wife Frances, of Brookhaven and a number of nieces and nephews.
