NATCHEZ -- Services for James Ronald Seyfarth, 57, of Natchez, who died April 23, 2004 at Natchez Regional Hospital, are Monday, April 26, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Harrigill officiating. Burial will follow at Natchez National cemetery, under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation is today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church.

Mr. Seyfarth was born icon Aug. 5, 1946 in Natchez to Thomas A. and Ruth Thornton Seyfarth. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Tommy Seyfarth.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn R. Seyfarth of Natchez; his stepfather, W.E. (Red) Mauldin, and his wife, Lillian; three brothers, Roger and his wife Rita Seyfarth of Jackson, Ray and his wife Phyllis Seyfarth of Hattiesburg and Henry Mauldin and his wife Willie of Ellisville; five sisters, Carolyn Causey and husband Nelson of Meadville, Barbara Stein and husband Bill of Natchez, Diane Butler and husband Bruce of Jackson, Roxie Brown of Sugarland, Texas, and Patricia Boyd and husband Billy of Monterey, La.; two sons, Brian Seyfarth and Brad Seyfarth and his wife Miranda, all of Natchez; one daughter, Belinda Ibarra and her husband Gabriel of Natchez; and five grandchildren, Christopher Houghton, Kristina Seyfarth, Dawson Seyfarth, Dyland Ibarra and Maria Dawson.

Dorothy Mae Arnold

MEADVILLE -- Services for Dorothy Mae Arnold, 68, who died Saturday, April 24, 2004 at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Meadville, will be today at 2 p.m. at Bunkley Baptist Church in Franklin County. Burial will follow at the church cemetery, under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville.

Drury Britton Harrington

May 31, 1972 -- April 24, 2004

NATCHEZ -- Services for Drury Britton Harrington, 31, of Natchez, who died Saturday, April 24, 2004, will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. Zabron A. Davis III officiating.

Visitation is from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Tuesday in Kuehnle Hall of Trinity Episcopal Church.

Mr. Harrington was born icon May 31, 1972 in Natchez to parents Paul Brown and Caroline Harrington. He was employed as a furniture conservator at Huber Conservation Services in Natchez.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Viola and Paul Harrington of Jackson, Mary Caroline Stone Couillard of Natchez and Raymond Montague Brown of Eureka Springs, Ark.

Survivors include his parents; one brother, Benjamin Brooks Harrington of Natchez; one aunt, Judy Harrington McClenahan and husband George of Sea Grove, Fla.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Trinity Episcopal Church or a charity of choice.

Daniel Boone Tadlock

Jan. 24, 1932 - April 25, 2004

GLOSTER - Services for Daniel Boone Tadlock, 72, of Gloster, who died Sunday, April 25, 2004, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Gloster with the Rev. John W. Tadlock officiating.

Burial will be in Hopewell cemetery in Harrisville under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Tadlock was born icon Jan. 24, 1932, in Crystal Springs, the son of John Titus Tadlock and Viola Boone Tadlock.

He was a pharmacist and an active member of the Centreville Baptist Church. He attended Co-Lin Jr. College, served in the Army and received a degree in music from the Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C. Daniel attended Ole Miss, graduated from the School of Pharmacy and retired as Director of Pharmacy from the Field Memorial Hospital in Centreville. He worked in many drug stores around the state.

Mr. Tadlock was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Anna Lila Stone Tadlock; two brothers, Woodrow Titus Tadlock and Raeford Earl Tadlock; two sisters, Odessa Yarbough and Mavis Williams.

Survivors include his wife, Marian R. Tadlock of Gloster; one daughter, Suzanne Breese and husband, Fred of Conway, S.C.; three sons, Dana Stone Tadlock of Atlanta, GA, John Scott Tadlock and wife, Linda of Savannah, GA and Charles Edwin Tadlock and wife, Jessica of Mobile, AL; five grandchildren and three step-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruby Gay Patrick and husband, Curt of Crystal Springs and Eva Cardwell of Crystal Springs; a special sister-in-law, who was like a mother through the years, Virginia B. Tadlock of Harrisville; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Randy Tadlock, Steve Tadlock, John Harrington, Brock Slabach, Curt Hughes and Rick Koen.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. with a rosary service at 7 p.m. Thursday and from noon until service time Friday at the church.

Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. Nugent was born icon Oct. 18, 1930, in Ira, Texas, the daughter of Aubrey Milton Mitchell and Fay Clatonia Fails Mitchell.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Vidalia and was a talented painter and calligrapher.

Mrs. Nugent was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby Ray Nugent; and granddaughter, Wendy J. Welsh-Elbaz.

Survivors include daughters, Sharon S. Cowan and husband, Johnny of Yuma, Ariz. and Martha F. Welsh and husband, Lenny of Slidell; sons, Wiley Craig Nugent and wife, Lori of Pineville, La. and Wesley Gregg Nugent of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Lesley Sullivan of Bisbee, Ariz., Charles Cowan and wife, Shaunna and Corey Cowan, all of Yuma, Ariz., Melissa Welsh and Kaya Welsh of Slidell, Harrison Nugent and Morgan Nugent of Pineville, La.; great-grandchildren, Christine Cowan and Caitlynn Cowan of Yuma, Zachary Sullivan, Molly Rose Sullivan and Ransom Sullivan of Bisbee, Ariz.; sisters, Margie Friday of Houston, Texas and Katheryn Clarke of Odessa, Texas; brother, Kimball Mitchell of Del Rio, Texas.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Vidalia or Memorial Hospice of Slidell, 1045 Florida Avenue, Slidell, La. 70458.

Murle Wright Weeks

Jan. 9, 1922 - April 26, 2004

NATCHEZ - Services for Murle Wright Weeks, 82, of Natchez, who died Monday, April 26, 2004, in Natchez, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary Basilica with the Rev. David O'Connor, the Rev. Michael O'Brien and the Rev. Martin Ruane officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. with a rosary service at 7 p.m. today and from 12:30 p.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Mrs. Weeks was born icon Jan. 9, 1922, in Warren County, the daughter of Claude Lee and Eunice McFerrin Wright.

As a devout catholic, she was a member of St. Mary Basilica and Assumption Church. She also frequently attended First Baptist Church. Mrs. Weeks retired from Cathedral School, was a member of "Friends of Five O" and volunteered at Natchez Community Hospital. She was also associated with the volunteers at Riverland Medical Center. She gave tirelessly of her time and talents to God, Church, family and the Natchez Community. She was involved in her church ministries, Relay for Life, American Red Cross, Friends of Five O, Natchez Balloon Festival and Auxiliary Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mrs. Weeks was a resident of Adams County most of her life.

Mrs. Weeks was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, George F. Souderes Sr. and Charles L. Weeks Sr.; four sisters, Ruby Adcock, Mable Hullum, Mary Louise Stevens and Gussie Anderson; two brothers, Claude Wright Jr. and Neal Wright.

Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Souderes Brown and husband, Bobby of Pearland Toni Souderes Danser and husband, Doug of Lexington, S.C.; two sons, Charles L. Weeks Jr. and wife, Carol of Jackson and George F. Souderes Jr. and wife, Anita of Natchez; two sisters, Ethel Lowe of Clinton and Mary Cloud of Jackson; one brother, Clyde M. Wright of Vicksburg; grandchildren, Jennifer Brown Leist, Rhonda Souderes Stevens, George F. Souderes III, Sarah Elizabeth Weeks, Christian Danser, Lauren Danser and Donna Brown; great-grandchildren, Colton and Katie Leist, Julia and Leah Stevens, Matthew Souderes, Robby Nolan and Victoria Danser; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Cathedral School Development Fund or charity of choice.

Janie Bell Pollard

March 3, 1922 - April 26, 2004

NATCHEZ - Services for Janie Bell Pollard, 82, of St. Louis., Mo., who died Monday, April 26, 2004, in St. Louis, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at LaGrange Baptist Church with the Rev. Samuel Hines officiating.

Burial will be in the Natchez National cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.

Mrs. Pollard was born icon March 3, 1922, in Adams County, the daughter of Willie and Earnestine Alexander.

She was a 1942 graduate of Brumfield High School, was a cosmotologiest and nurse aid at Jefferson Davis Hospital, retiring in 1982. She was a member of LaGrange Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary L. Pollard (Alfred) Sykes of St. Louis; two brothers, James (Helen) Alexander and Scott (Rachel) Alexander, all of Greenville; and a number of grandchildren great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be James Ellis, Alfred Sykes Jr., Catori Pollard, Cartez Pollard, Kevin Thompson and J. C. Washington Jr.

Allie Minette Middleton

Oct. 24, 1913 - April 27, 2004

NATCHEZ - Services for Allie Minette Middleton, 90, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at Magnolia House in Natchez, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Mary Basilica with the Rev. David O'Connor officiating.

Burial will follow at Natchez City cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. with a rosary service at 7 p.m. today and from noon until service time Friday at the church.

Mrs. Middleton was born icon Oct. 24, 1913, in St. Joseph, La., the daughter of John Pelham and Sally Daisy Brady Watson Sr.

She was a graduate of Natchez High School. Mrs. Middleton studied dance locally under Trebbie Poole and Genevieve McCauliff. After high school graduation she studied at Ballet School of San Francisco and New York School of Dance under the tutelage of Thalia Mara. Following her training, Mrs. Middleton taught in the Ferriday, Jonesville, St. Joe and Waterproof areas in Louisiana. This included a period of time within the Concordia Parish School System. Mrs. Middleton choreographed the Sweetheart Waltz of the "Soiree" scene of the Natchez Historic Pageant. This first presentation of the Soiree was performed on the grounds of Rosalie with Mrs. Middleton and her partner, Joe McKenzie dancing as the lead Sweethearts. She established Middleton School of Dance in 1951. Mrs. Middleton was an active member of St. Mary Basilica, maintained memberships in the Daughters of the Confederacy, Pilgrimage Garden Club, Texas Ballet Teachers Association and Ballet Masters of America.

Mrs. Middleton was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John Pelham Watson Jr. and Samuel Watson; her husband, Thomas Aloysius Middleton.

Survivors include daughter, Roseminette Middleton (H. R.) Gaude' of Natchez; son, Thomas Aloysius (Carolyn) Middleton Jr. of Biloxi; grandchildren, Chere' Gaude' (Roy) Johnson of Wappingers Falls, N.Y., Henry David (Ann) Gaude' of Natchez, Lance Thomas (Tracy) Gaude' of Snellville, Ga., Blase' Patrick (Patricia) Gaude' of Oakten, Va., Kurt Matthew (Danielle) Gaude' of Smyrna, Tenn., Lacy Middleton Vickers of Biloxi, Candy Middleton (Steven) O'Neal of New York, N.Y., Mary Margaret Middleton Marchioni of Gulfport, John (Jill) Middleton of Biloxi and Shannon Duke Middleton of Biloxi; 21 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Conrad Anderson, David Gaude', Lance Gaude', Kurt Gaude', Duke Middleton and Blase' E. Gaude'.

Honorary pallbearer will be Blase' P. Gaude'.

Memorials may be made to Cathedral School Scholarship Funds for Bobby Irby, John Steckler, or Bennett Jeansonne; St. Mary Basilica; or a charity of ones choice.

Dec. 7, 1920 - April 27, 2004

NATCHEZ - Services for Robert H. Royals, 83, of Church Hill, who died Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 6 p.m. today at Church Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Diane Woodall officiating.

Burial will follow at Christ Episcopal Church cemetery in Church Hill under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mr. Royals was born icon Dec. 7, 1920, in Pineville, the son of Robert Leon and Ida Mae Henderson Royals.

He was a member of Church Hill United Methodist Church, an avid outdoorsman and turkey hunter. Mr. Royals was a U. S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He served on the USS Lexington.

Mr. Royals was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Brance Royals, Henry Royals and D. L. Royals; sister, Billie Fortson; grandchildren, Riana Carole Flynn and Robert Gabriel Long.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Royals of Church Hill; daughters, Linda Royals Flynn and husband, Stuart and Janis Carol Royals, all of Church Hill; sons, Bob Royals of Douglasville, Ga. and Jim Royals of Greenwood Village, Colo.; grandchildren, Owyn Melissa Long of New Orleans, La., Adam John Flynn of Church Hill, Adrienne Royals of Memphis, Tenn., Alison Royals of Sea Side, Fla., John Royals of Douglasville, Ga., Jaime Royals of Greenville, S.C. and Dee Royals of Dallas, Ga.; great-granddaughter, Olyvia Riana Royals Monterroso of New Orleans; sister, Virgie Hammonds of Minnesota; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Kilpatrick, Bob Guedon, Alan Wadsworth, Blair Manoley, Arch Guedon, Joey Carroll, Adam Flynn and Mike Guedon.
