Christine F. Jackson died July 24, 2014 at her residence in Delhi, Louisiana. She was 72.

She was born icon on December 13, 1941 to the late Reverend Stephen H. Farrar and Eppa Farrar in Tillatoba, Mississippi.

Christine confessed Christ at an early age. She became a member of St. Peter A.M.E. in 1968. She was a faithful member serving as a Sunday school teacher and singing in the choir.

She received her B.S. degree from Alcorn State University in 1964 and Masters’ degree at the University of Illinois in Champagne, Illinois. She was a retired educator after 35 ½ years.

On June 1, 1968, Christine was joined in Holy Matrimony to David D. Jackson. To this union, one daughter, Deidre Danette Jackson was born icon on July 5, 1974. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Stephen and Eppa Farrar; her daughter, Deidre Danette Jackson; sisters, Nancy Adams and Hannah Garrett; brothers, Wesley Williams and Richard Leigh.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, David D. Jackson of Delhi, Louisiana; sons, Devante Jackson and Dylan Jackson both of Delhi, Louisiana; sister, Rosa F. Brown of Chicago, Illinois; brother-in-law, James Jackson of Denver, Colorado; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Albert was born icon in Warren County, Mississippi on July 28, 1942 to the late Mr. Albert Allison, Sr. and Mrs. Alice Allison. He was of the Baptist faith.

A Time to Live
Albert confessed Christ at an early age. During his life he worked for LeTourneau as a welder and was a truck driver for various trucking companies.

A Time to Die
On Monday, July 14, 2014 God sent his angel to pick a precious flower for “His Garden of Life”. Our beloved father, grandpa, uncle, cousin and friend took his flight home. Those who have also taken a flight as well are his parents; brother, Louis Gray; sister, Willie Mae Buck-Williams; a special niece and nephew he reared as his own, Jeraline Cosby and Lawrence H. Pollard.

A Time to Mourn
Albert leaves to cherish his memories: five sons, Billy Williams, Larry Williams, Herbert Williams, Robert Williams and Michael Williams all of Vicksburg, Mississippi; a special nephew, Marshall (Sharon) Williams of Dallas, Texas; twenty-five grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; fiancée, Eunice Lane of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, friends, coworkers and other relatives; and a special friend, Mrs. Betty Gray Davis of Vicksburg, Mississippi.

On Wednesday, July 2, 2014, God saw the struggle was much too hard to endure. So, He quietly came into St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS, took L.S. into His arms, gently closed his eyes and whispered, “take your rest, take your rest.”

L.S., the oldest son of both parents, was born icon January 9, 1938 in Hinds County, MS to the late Louis Samuel “Snookie” Barnes and Carrie Butler Paulding.

L.S. accepted Christ at an early age at Rohelia Missionary Baptist Church baptized by the late Reverend Jack Ervin. He continued to worship and serve as an usher there under the leadership of Pastor Earl Thompson, Jr. until his death.

L.S. was reared in Utica, MS and attended the Cayuga and Utica Institute School Systems, graduating with his HS diploma in 1957. Over 37 years of his life, L.S. was employed as a school bus driver for Hinds County Public School Systems (his first job), and by industrial companies including Cooper Lightning Industries, US Rubber Plant, and Ergon Incorporated until his health failed. He was preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandparents Leonard and Ethel Butler, paternal grandparents Emmitt and Beulah Barnes, one sister Thelma Woods, his step-father, Johnny Paulding, Sr. and in-laws, Lee Guster Robinson, Sr. and Rosie Lee Robinson.

L.S.’s memories will forever be cherished by his dedicated wife for 57 years, Willie Rose Butler of Utica, MS; two daughters, Sandra Buck of Jackson, MS and Debra Almore of Edwards, MS; five grandchildren, Afrachanna Butler of Clinton, MS, Luscious Neal of Jackson, MS, Hyka Watkins (Cedric) of Edwards, MS and Naudia and Kortland Almore of Edwards, MS; 6 great-grandchildren, Hailey Watkins, Cynia Watkins, Cedric Watkins, Jr., Rheagan Baker, Rheilen Baker, and Hannah Watkins; a loving step-mother Classie Barnes of Jackson, MS; seven brothers, Johnny Paulding Jr. (Peggy) of Antioch, CA, Oscar Paulding Sr. (Helen) of Aurora, IL, David Paulding of Oakland, CA, Melvin Paulding (Carolyn) of Puyallup, WA, Charles Barnes (Margaret) of Carson, CA, Carl Louis Barnes of Chicago, IL, and Ralph Barnes (Mary) of Jackson, MS; seven sisters, Bobby Matthews of Oakland, CA, Marietta Green of Southhaven, MS, Betty Picou (Paul) of Oakland, CA, Linda Walton (Erik) of Brentwood, CA, Patricia Bryant (John) of Ridgeland, MS, Juanetta Ellis (Andre) of Jackson, MS, and Mary Helen Barnes of Jackson, MS; two uncles and one aunt, Johnnie L. Butler (Gisela) of Berkeley, CA, Malachi “Jack” Barnes (Jessietine) of Edwards, MS and Elizabeth Butler of Berkeley, CA; a special nephew, Leonard Paulding (Carolyn) of Madison, MS; special in-laws, Callie Robinson of Utica, MS, Arthur Robinson Sr. (Rolanda) of Utica, MS, Jeanette Davis (Edward) of Alpharetta, GA, Eugene Robinson (Gayle) of Vicksburg, MS and Claudine Robinson of Port Gibson, MS; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends will also cherish the special moments shared with L.S.

L.S. was a kind-hearted and outspoken man. He loved and enjoyed his family, especially “MAMA” (his wife). He enjoyed watching The Price is Right and shoot em up cowboy movies, adored horses and dogs, sitting in the front door counting the squirrels climb the trees, watching the vehicles drive by and constantly admiring his watch and his ring. His roles as a husband, father, and grandfather will truly be missed.

Mrs. Jessie Lee Dulaney-Green, lovingly called “Momma Jessie”, was born icon in Hinds County, Mississippi, to the late Mr. Allen Dulaney, Sr. and Mrs. Georgia Burns. She confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church located in Edwards, Mississippi, at an early age before becoming a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Jessie Lee was united in Holy Matrimony to Charlie Green, and to this union eight children were born. Those children added to the six children they had from Charlie’s previous marriage.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Green was preceded in death by a loving sister, Lena Mae Shirley and one devoted brother, M.C. Dulaney.

Mrs. Jessie worked at Magnolia Best Western prior to it becoming Delta Point, and later Ameristar, before retiring to enjoy what she would call on numerous occasions, “living in the cat bird seat” in her glorious retirement years. She was considered by many to be wise beyond her years and beloved by all who knew her.

Mrs. Jessie Lee Dulaney-Green departed this life on Thursday, July 3, 2014, at the Promise Hospital following an illness that begun on January 31, 2014.

Mrs. Jessie leaves her loving and devoted family to cherish her memory, which includes: fourteen children, five sons, Ronald Dulaney (Miyuki) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Charles Dulaney (Diane) of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Karl (Melva) Dulaney of Pearland, Texas, Alfred Dulaney of Vicksburg, Mississippi and Henry Dulaney (Melissa) of Vicksburg, Mississippi; three daughters, Darlene Brown (Earnest Paul) of League City, Texas; LaVerne Smith (Rudy) of Vicksburg, Mississippi and Faye Dulaney (Harry) of Cherry Valley, Illinois; more than stepchildren, Warren Green (Helen), Robert Green (Lorraine), Rosie Lee Gill, Moseana Chapman (Thomas), Torris Gatherwright (Jimmie) and Cora Felton; nine siblings, Anna Ruth Boyd, Ethelean Haywood, Earnestine Bracey, LC Dulaney, Alan (Annie) Dulaney, Corean Dulaney, Lydia (Thomas) Haynes, Alice Dulaney Sampson and Cassie Reed; grandchildren, Anthony, Angela, Michelle, Kim, Kevin, Vanessa, Mary, Melanie, Anthoney “Sho-Sho”, Jessica, Allen, Jordan, Sarah, Elizabeth Rose, Cassie, Jeffrey, Alisha and Ashlee; great grandchildren, Jalen, Aaliyah, Chase, Te’niva, Kavion, Kevon; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends including a devoted caregiver Whitney Brown.

Julia Be Jones was born icon on January 1, 1944 in Vicksburg, Mississippi, where she spent her life loving the Lord, her family, and friends. She was baptized at an early age, became an usher, served as president on the usher board. She remained an active, faithful member of Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church of “Freetown” until her demise. She worked various jobs at Batesville Casket Company, Anderson-Tully and lastly, Klondyke.

Julia Be Jones was preceded in death by her parents, Beatrice and Robert Norfort, Sr.; her sister, Clemetine Foster; and her brothers, James Norfort and Andrew Norfort.

Julia Be Jones departed this world on June 25, 2014, from River Region Hospital. Her memories will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

She leaves behind: her three sons, Herbert (Elizabeth Dixon) Norfort, Hugh (Shirley) Norfort and Jerome (Sengrid) Jones all of Vicksburg, Mississippi; three daughters, Charlene Jones and Darlene Wells both of Vicksburg and Surflorunia (Gentry) Beasley of Memphis, Tennessee; four brothers, Robert Norfort of Kansas City, Kansas, Curtis (Minister Ethel) Norfort of St. Louis, Missouri, David Norfort and Reuben Norfort both of Vicksburg, Mississippi; two sisters, Ruth Carter and Fannie McNair both of Vicksburg; sister-in-law, Louella Norfort of Vicksburg, Mississippi; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including the Williams, Johnson and O’Neal families.

Mr. Henry Lee Trevillion, Sr. was born icon January 11, 1955 to the late Tommy and Annie Lee Trevillion in Fayette, MS. He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Trevillion-Smith of Vicksburg, MS and one brother, Willie Evans of Brookhaven, MS.

At an early age, he accepted Christ and after relocating to Vicksburg, Mississippi he joined St. Paul Baptist Church in Bovina, Mississippi. Continued on his journey to Triumph Church in Vicksburg, Mississippi under the leadership of Pastor Michael Fields where he rededicated his life to Christ and in Baptism and served as an usher in service.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Sandra Jones-Trevillion, four sons and one step-daughter: Henry Trevillion, Jr. of Omaha, NE, Darrell Peyton of Biloxi, MS, Marcus and Mark Trevillion of Vicksburg, MS and Alexis Jones of Hattiesburg, MS: five sisters, Mary Kiper (Vince Kiper) of Murrieta, California, Sadie Mae Jones of Omaha, NE, Joann Gray of Round Rock, TX and Marjorie Trevillion of Jackson, MS, Doretha Trevillion-Jenkins (Larry Jenkins) of Flowood, MS; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Daisy Washington-Smith was born icon in Vicksburg, Mississippi on May 22, 1940 to the late Mr. and Mrs. George and Fannie Washington. She was the fourth child of nine children born icon to this union.

A Time To Live
Daisy confessed Christ at an early age at St. John's Missionary Baptist Church in the Yokena community. She united with Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she was a faithful member.

Daisy joined in holy matrimony to the late Rufus "Duff" Smith for 34 years.

During her life, Daisy worked as a bus driver for the Vicksburg Warren School District. She retired from VWSD after 36 years of service.

A Time To Die
On Sunday, June 22, 2014, God sent an angel to pick a beautiful flower from His "Garden of Life." She was preceded in death by: her parents, George and Fannie Washington; her husband, Rufus "Duff" Smith; four sisters, Willie B. Lyons, Georgia Freeman, Emma Gaskin and Catherine Adams; and one brother, Eddie Washington.

Daisy leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Carl Washington of Vicksburg, Mississippi; two sisters, Ethel White and Mary Helen Carson of Vicksburg, Mississippi; one brother, Wilbour (Dianne) Washington of Vicksburg, Mississippi; five grandchildren, Carmelia and Carl "C.J." Carolyn confessed to Christ at an early age at Belmont MB. Church, Utica, MS. She attended Cedars Elementary School and Warren Central High School, Vicksburg, MS; graduating in the Class of 1971. Continuing her education at Hinds Community College, Utica, and Jackson State University, Jackson, MS. Carolyn began her career at Batesville Casket Company for many years, and on August 12, 1976 she united with Curely Parker, Jr., and to this union three children were born. Carolyn was a dedicated, devoted, loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She was the best and truly will be missed.

A Time to Die
On Tuesday, June 10, 2014, God sent an angel down from heaven to pick a flower from his "Garden of Life". She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers: William Carson and Nathan Carson, Sr. One son, Kelvin Carson; one nephew, Nathan Carson, Jr.; one very special cousin, George Gray, Jr.; her grandparents, Curtis Sr., and Rodie McFarland Wallace, and Lewis and Martha Taylor Carson.
