Jerald W. Tucker, Jr., was born icon February 10, 2003 to Jerald W. Tucker, Sr., and the late Debra Willis Tucker. He was the youngest of three children. He received Christ and was baptized at Gospel Temple Missionary Baptist Church on September 4, 2011. Jerald went on to be with his heavenly Father on April 24, 2013.

He enjoyed riding his bike, playing his game and most of all, going to church. Jerald's favorite song was "Take Me To The King". He never met a stranger that his loving smile and his warm conversation could not win over.

Jerald leaves to treasure and embrace his memories: his loving father, Jerald W. Tucker, Sr., of Vicksburg; a brother, Willie Willis, of Vicksburg; paternal grandparents, C. W. and Catherin Tucker of Vicksburg; maternal grandparents, Robert and Ernestine Willis of Vicksburg; four aunts, Deborah (Garrett) Mitchell of Ridgeland, Yvette Smith and Shirley Luster, both of Vicksburg, and Stacey (Ricco) Owens of Clinton; two uncles, Charles (Monica) Tucker of San Diego, California and Patrick (Brenda) Tucker of Vicksburg; a nephew, Willie King of Vicksburg; and a host of cousins.

Herman “Charles” Thomas, Sr., a respected businessman, loving husband, father and brother entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 20, 2013, at the River Region Medical Center, with his devoted wife of fifty-six years and family members by his side.

He was born icon on November 19, 1937, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, to the late Hosie and Willie Ree Thomas. On March 2, 1957, he married icon his friend and confidant, Fannie Spicer. To this union, ten beautiful children were born.

Charles confessed Christ at an early age and joined Holy Hill Missionary Baptist Church in the Oakridge Community.

He was a life-long resident of Vicksburg and owner of Thomas Logging Company. He was self-employed for over 50 years as a logger. He continued to work until his health began to diminish. He served on the Culkin Water Board and was a member of the American Legion Tyner Ford Post #213.

Charles loved his wife, children, and especially his grandchildren. He spent time teaching his grandchildren to ride bicycles, drive, fish, and the value of working hard, just to name a few. He loved them and they loved him. There wasn’t much that he wouldn’t do for his family and friends. He was a kind-hearted and unselfish man. He was also a very caring and loving man with a big smile and even bigger heart. He touched many lives, radiated warmth and love, never met a stranger and had a joy for life and for helping others. He took pride in his business, but truly relished the friends he made during his time in business.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sandra Renee Thomas; two brothers, Cornelius Thomas and Larry Thomas.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted and loving wife, Fannie Thomas; six sons, Herman, Jr., Larry, Vernon (Mary), Demetrius (Anitra), Stuart and Marcus Thomas all of Vicksburg, Mississippi; three daughters, Penny (John) Evans, Jennifer and Angela Thomas all of Vicksburg, Mississippi; two brothers, Hosie Thomas, Jr. of Vicksburg, Mississippi and Lee Thomas of Lansing, Michigan; three sisters, Catherine Brown and Joyce (Charles) Spicer of Albion, Michigan and Helen (Sammy) Walton of Vicksburg, Mississippi; a special uncle, Louis Hebrew Walton; fourteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including Michele Dent Thomas, Lucy Sims, Freda Young, the Walton, Lewis, Parker, London, Spicer and Johnson families of Vicksburg, Mississippi and the Williams family of Jackson, Mississippi.

MR. JOSHUA ROBINSON was born icon on July 13, 1941 to the late Mr. John C. Robinson, Sr. and Mrs. Janie Wilkerson Robinson. He was preceded in death by both parents and brother, Carza Robinson.

Joshua confessed Christ at an early age and joined Mount Hood Missionary Baptist Church. He sang in several choirs while being an active member.

He worked at Mississippi College and Jackson Packing Company, both for many years. Joshua was always cheerful and greeted everyone with a smile and was dearly loved by all that knew him.

Joshua leaves to cherish his memories five brothers: John C. (Rebecca) Robinson, Jr. of Jackson, MS, Floyd Robinson of Jackson, MS, Lonzo Wilkerson of Oakland, CA, Marvin (Naomi) Robinson of Jackson, MS, Charles (Andria) Robinson of Harvey, IL; two sisters: Lenora Robinson and Gloria (Willie) Taylor, all of Jackson, MS; one step-brother Johnny Lee (Doris) Manor of Clinton, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Willie Delores Harper, 66, entered into eternal peace on April 10, 2013 at her Mobile, Alabama home. She was born icon on April 22, 1946 in Utica, Mississippi to Richard D. and Ida Mae Evans.

Willie held a deep devotion for family from an early age and took on the role as big sister to her siblings with great enthusiasm. Her passion for family eventually led to matrimony with the late Cleveland Harper, Sr. and to this union came the birth of her own two children.

Never afraid of hard work, she successfully opened and operated her own business for many years. After retirement, she relocated to Mobile Alabama because she desired be closer to her children and grandchildren.

A devoted Christian, she was a faithful member of New Life Christian Fellowship in Mobile Alabama, pastored by Reverend Robert Brown.

Her interests included family, gardening, good food and reading her bible. She dedicated much of her time and energy to her children and grandchildren, whom she often referred to as “her life.”

Willie touched the lives of many people with her openness and honesty. She had a loving and generous heart and was always giving to others.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard D. Evans, Sr. and five siblings: Richard D. Evans, Jr., James Evans, Albert Evans, Leroy Evans and Ludella Mae Shears.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a very devoted and caring mother and stepfather, Ida Mae Evans and Robert Funches; two children, Cleveland (Belinda) Harper Jr. of Warner Robins, Georgia and Shirley (Jacob) Pettway of Mobile, Alabama; five siblings: John L. (Penny) Evans, Mary (Vernon) Thomas, Edna E. Davis, Bobbie (Larry) Chambers and Tommie L. Evans, all of Vicksburg, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Amber (Roy) Harris of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Cedric Harper of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Shardae "Poobaby” Goldsmith of Mobile, Alabama, a great granddaughter: Harmony L Harris; two aunts, Helen Miles of Utica, Mississippi and Lillian "Moody" Robinson of New Orleans, Louisiana; two uncles, Johnny Handy of Chicago, Illinois and Leon Handy of Vicksburg, Mississippi; a devoted friend in Christ, Minister Jo Ann Benson and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Bobbie Jean Hunter departed this life on Monday, April 1, 2013, at the age of 66. She was born icon to the late Mr. Henry Dugano and Mrs. Alma Dugano on March 26, 1947. Mrs. Hunter was a resident of Vicksburg, Mississippi who previously resided in Lake Providence, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her: Father, Henry Dugano; Mother, Alma Johnson; son, Henry Levon Dugano, granddaughter Shavonne Jones, brother James Dugano, sister Sadie Dugano, and step father Celus Johnson.

She is survived by: her significant other, Thomas Chiplin, of Vicksburg, Mississippi; four daughters, Carolyn Foster of Mesquite, Texas, Jackie Folks (Vernon) of Lake Providence, Louisiana, Charolette Jones of Garland, Texas, and Shelita Hunter Brown (Arthur) of Florence, Mississippi; three adopted daughters, Thelma Johnson of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Ceolia Johnson of Dallas, Texas, Canary Johnson of Columbia, Mississippi; sister, Sarah Johnson (Marvin) of Dickinson, Texas; step brother, Celus Johnson (Irene) of Lake Providence, Louisiana; step sister, Barbara Scarbrough (Charles) of New Orleans, Louisiana; God-daughter, Beverly Walls Webb of Ozark, Alabama; grandchildren, Odell Foster (Adrienne), Vernon L. Folks (Natalie), Quincy Folks, Ashley Folks, Valencia King, Kavon Simpson, Adrian Johnson, Brianna Johnson, T’nya Johnson, Eddie Johnson, De'Mario Tavon Wilson and D'Egypt Wilson; special nieces, Dr. Pamela Dugano-Daphnis, and Angela Dugano-Nelson; great nieces, Gabrielle Nelson, Briana Nicole Daphnis and Brittney Jolie Daphnis, great nephews, Cedric Nelson, and Brandon Daphnis; god-sister, Wanda Jackson (Joseph), and a host of aunts, cousins, friends and co-workers.

Bobbie united her life to Christ as a teenager and became a baptized member of Jerusalem in the Bend in Lake Providence, Louisiana.

In 1976, she relocated to Vicksburg, Mississippi and united with New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she was a choir member and Mother. She also regularly attended Mount Elam Missionary Baptist Church in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and was an active member and Secretary of Vicksburg Chapter No. 1 Order of Eastern Star.

Bobbie attended Combs McIntyre School in Oak Grove, Louisiana, and G. W. Griffin High School in Lake Providence, Louisiana. She later received an Associates Degree from Hinds Community College in Computer Technology. She was actively employed for more than 36 years at River Region Medical Center (formerly Mercy Hospital and Parkview Regional Medical Center). Her employment began in the linen department where her hard work earned her a supervisory position. She took advantage of the tuition reimbursement program offered by her employer and excelled in the Computer Technology Program while working full time. Upon completion of the program, she earned a promotion where she worked as an Information Systems Support Specialist trouble shooting and repairing computers and other equipment. During her 36 year tenure, she bonded with co-workers and formed a close family like relationship.

She never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She had a bright spirit and infectious personality that endeared her to most everyone she met. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and especially her grand children. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings at her home and loved to travel. She was well thought of by many.

She was diagnosed with a terminal illness in August of 2008. She was well taken care of by her daughters and extended family. She fought a good fight and faithfully believed that God would not put more on her than she could bear. She was a living testimony of God’s grace. Her strength in fighting her illness was encouraging to many.

Roberta Moore Cassell lived her life helping others. God gave her a sweet spirit that she shared with family, friends, church and community. She loved the old fashioned-church songs and used her beautiful alto voice singing them. On May 8, 2005, the Clarion Ledger honored Mrs. Cassell and her mother, Rosie Lee. She was honored at the Moffett Family Reunion in 2008. Her church, Pleasant Green bestowed her honor in 2010. And, the Edwards, Utica Scholarship benefit Program honored Mother Cassell in March 2012.

“ And thou shall have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.” – Luke 1:14

God gave Columbus Moore and Rosie Lee Moore, Roberta Moore on April 24, 1914. Only God knew His plan for her to become a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Christian, friend, church mother, business persona and a community drum major. Roberta professed Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age. Mother Roberta attended Midway Grammar School, Edwards, Mississippi, . She met and married icon William Cassell and relocated to Gary, Indiana. Two children were born icon to this union: William Cassell, Jr. and Dorotha Cassell. She united with the Jerusalem Baptist Church and was gainfully employed in Gary until retirement. Roberta returned home to care for her ailing mother and reunited with the Pleasant Green Church of Christ Holiness where she served faithfully as church Mother.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” II Timothy 4:7

Preceded her in the crossover include: both children, parents, and Sisters, Siretha Moody, Sadie Dace, Pearl Williams; Brothers, James Riley and Famous Townsel.

Shirley Marie Bailey, affectionately known as “Shell” to her family, was born icon on March 4, 1961, in Eagle Lake, Mississippi. She was the youngest of twelve children. Shirley was baptized at an early age by Reverend Andrew Bell and became member of King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church in the Eagle Lake Community. She was a graduate of Warren Central High School’s Class of 1979.

Shirley worked as an EVS Supervisor at Ameristar Casino for 19 years. She joined St. Luke Church of God in Christ lead by Elder Douglas Anderson where she served faithfully.

Preceding her in death are: her parents, Johnny, Sr. and Bernice Houzah Bailey; brother, O.C. Bailey, and sisters, Mary Eliza and Lillie Mae Bailey.

Shirley leaves to cherish her memories, her longtime companion, Frank J. Rankin, and their son, Gabriel James Rankin of Vicksburg; two brothers, Robert (Lottie) Bailey of Eagle Lake and Johnny (Letha Mae) Bailey of Vicksburg; six sisters, Ruby Valentine and Josephine Bailey of Oakland, California; Bernice Money of St. Albans, New York; Gloria Jean Turner of Union City, California; and Betty and Velma Bailey of Vicksburg. Two aunts; Lillie Bell Young of Lawton, Oklahoma and Gertrude Fitzgerald of Youngtown, Ohio. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives; sisters-in-laws, Sallie Bailey of Vicksburg and Billie Jean (Brandie) Bailey of Dallas, Texas; Vicksburg families of Logan, Gray, Davenport, Houston, Hollin, and Wince; the Young and Whitehead families of Greenville, Mississippi; and the Wilson family of Oakland, California.

James Wildee, Sr. was born icon in Vicksburg, Mississippi on March 27, 1917 to the late Richard Wildee, Sr. and Savannah J. Norris-Wildee.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Walterine Johnson Wildee; stepson, Lester Johnson; six sisters, Maggaleana Wildee, Maudean Wildee, Annie Lee Wildee, Altonleana Wildee, Arleana Wildee and Ernestine Wildee; six brothers, Alton Wildee, Joseph Wildee, Spencer Wildee, Sr., Robert Lee Wildee, Ernest Wildee and Daniel Wildee.

James accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and joined the Baptist faith.

James was joined in holy matrimony to the late Walterine Johnson Wildee, to this union two children were born.

He attended the Warren County Schools and grew up in the Kings Community. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He was known as a compassionate and true friend to all that knew him. He was a sharp dresser and loved for his shoes to match. He was a hard and dedicated worker. He was employed at Anderson Tully, Inc. until he retired. He rendered 40 years of service.

On March 23, 2013 at his home in Vicksburg, Mississippi, the angel of death visited James and summoned him to his eternal home.

James leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, James Wildee, Jr., of Vicksburg, Mississippi and Darren Williams of San Jose, California; one daughter, Senobia (Robert) Wildee Bunch of Vicksburg, Mississippi; one stepson, Roderick (Tyra) Johnson of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; one step-daughter, Shirley Williams of Vicksburg, Mississippi; two brothers, Richard Wildee, II and Samuel Wildee both of Vicksburg, Mississippi; step-daughter-in-law, Glenda Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; twenty grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends and relatives including the Winters, Burks, Carson, Gleese and Caples families.
