Neal died March 31, 2009 at Baptist DeSot0o. She was a member of Lake Forest Baptist Church where she was in the choir. She leaves her husband, Pat Neal; son, John T. Baxter, Millington, Tenn.; daughter, Terre Coughlin, Memphis; brothers, Frank Hickson, Memphis, Henry Holland, Horn Lake; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Mae Elizabeth Fields
OLIVE BRANCH - Services for Mae Elizabeth Fields, 93, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Brantley Funeral Home, Olive Branch with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be in McKay cemetery, Hickory Flat. Fields died March 30, 2009 at her home. She was retired from Sears after 42 years of service. She was born
in Hickory Flat and was a 1933 graduate of Hickory Flat High School where she was class Valedictorian and a lifelong Baptist. She leaves two nephews, Harold and Milton Nichols; two nieces, Margaret S. Nichols, all of Olive Branch and Sandra Shassere, Norris, Tenn., all who cared for her; several other nieces and nephews and two special caregivers, Jackie Williams and April Eaton.

LONOKE, Ark. - Services for Sammy McKnatt, 56, formerly of Olive Branch, will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends from 4:30-9 p.m. today at Brantley Funeral Home, Olive Branch. McKnatt died March 29, 2009. He leaves his fiancé, Jo Eaves; a daughter, Stacy Culver, Olive Branch; son, Steve McKnatt, Pott's Camp; sisters, Debra King, Central City, Ky., Vickie Beliles, Belton, Ky. and Felicia McKnatt, Galveston, Texas; brothers, Jackie McKnatt, Arkabutla, Billy Coopwood, Olive Branch and Timmy McKnatt, Oakland, Tenn.; six grandchildren.

HORN LAKE - Services for John Robert Isaacs, 53, will be at 1 p.m. today at Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home, Hernando with interment in Bethlehem cemetery. Isaacs died March 22, 2009 at Baptist DeSoto. He was a carpenter for Isaacs Construction. He leaves one daughter, Brandy Isaacs-Allaire, Brighton, Tenn., one son, Jesse Isaacs, Horn Lake; mother, Peggy Isaacs, Horn Lake; two brothers, J.D. Isaacs, Horn Lake, Tommy Isaacs (Tina), Horn Lake; two grandchildren, Kimberly and John.

She leaves two sons, Devin Williams and Christian Williams; her mother, June Clarkson (Don), Southaven; her father, Gene Hastings, Memphis; one brother, Mike Hastings (Carol), Lake Cormorant; one sister, Kelli Gray (Jimmy), Walls; two nieces, Demi Gray and Hannah Hastings; and two nephews, Luke Gray and Holden Hastings. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Francis Ledbetter and Clara Hastings; and one nephew, Hayden Hastings. Any memorials may be made to LeBonheur Children's Hospital. SOUTHAVEN - Services for Alice Bowen Russell, 89, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Forest Hill South with visitation from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in Forest Hill South cemetery. Russell died Aug. 10, 2009. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Southaven. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dugan C. Russell Sr. She leaves three children, Mary Boyd, Memphis, Calvin Russell, Southaven and Don Russell, McGee; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Tony Lee Young
FOUNTAIN HILLS, Ariz. - Services for Tony Lee Young, formerly of Memphis, Tenn. and Independence, were Aug. 12, 2009 at Community Chapel, 15202 North Fountain Hills Blvd., Fountain Hills, Ariz. Young died Aug. 9, 2009 from cancer. He was a Korean War Veteran. He leaves his wife, Kathy; sons Jerry, Mike (Dawn), and Andrew; daughters, Cyndie (Buddy Fulcher), Debbye, Michele, Kolleen (Mark Watson), and Lisa (Steve Bressan), and special daughter Debbie Reed. He is also survived by sister Mary Elizabeth Oswald (Tom) and brother George Hudspeth (Sandra), aunts Grace, Ruth Jane and Betty, plus a host of nieces and nephews. Katherine Clark Barker
FRANKLIN, TENN. - Services for Katherine Clark Barker, 83, were Wednesday at Forest Hill South. Barker died Aug. 9, 2009. Barker lived in the Whitehaven suburb of Memphis for over 35 years, where she was a school secretary for Memphis City Schools and a member of LaBelle Haven Baptist Church. She later lived in Southaven, before moving to Franklin, where she was a member of Clearview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, James Clinton Barker Jr. She is survived by her two sons, James Robert Barker of Williston, Tenn. and John Clinton Barker of Brentwood, Tenn., and two granddaughters, Chelsea P. Jones of Franklin, Tenn., and Hannah L. Barker of Brentwood, Tenn.
Brendan R. Talley
SOUTHAVEN — Services for Brendan R. Talley, 18, will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at Twin Oaks Funeral Home, Southaven, with viewing from 5-7 p.m. Talley died Aug. 10, 2009. Talley was preceded in death by his grandparents, Betty "Nana" and Leon "Paps" Talley. He leaves behind; his father Brendan M. Talley, mother Taryn Gregory-Talley, and sister Breana Talley of Southaven; a sister, Asia Cariato and nephew "Little Anthony" of Grandview, Wa.; Grandparents, Robert Barr of Calif., Jacque Talley of Texas, and Maggie Pierce of Ariz.; Aunts and Uncles, Kim and Dennis Twining and Michael Talley of Calif., Gretchen Gregory-Corpus of Texas; cousins Kayla and Owen Talley; and numerous dear friends.
Elton H. Hatcher
SOUTHAVEN - Services for Elton H. Hatcher, 94, were Tuesday at Forest Hill South Funeral Home with interment in Forest Hill South cemetery. He was born
on April 12, 1915 in Dumas to Lee and Lura Hatcher. He was active in the military, enlisting in the Marines on Nov. 8, 1937 and after his discharge on Nov. 7, 1941 he re-enlisted in the 4th Battalion of the Navy Seabees where he served from Feb.1942 to July 10, 1945. As a WWII Veteran he was presented the American Campaign Medal, Asiatic- Pacific Campaign Medal, Navy Good Conduct Metal, WWII Victory Medal and Honorable Service Lapel Button. He was a lifetime member of Navy Seabee Veterans of America. He was a member and deacon of Carriage Hills Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; brothers, Alvis and Earl Hatcher and a sister Ophalee Anderson. He leaves his wife of 67 years, Ruth Heavener Hatcher; three daughters, Lynda H. Tapper (Andy), Mary Jo Russell (Dan) and Debbie H. Gallagher (Glen) and one son, Jay Hatcher; eight grandchildren, Jason L. Hatcher (Shannon), Lindsay M. Russell, Amanda Dowen, Christopher A. Tapper, Phillip Lepard (Brandi), Justin B. Russell, Ashley L. Tapper, Kelsey L. Gallagher; nine great- grandchildren; one brother, Troy Hatcher of Hatboro, Penn. and many nieces and nephews. He leaves his parents, Jose and Angelica Loredo; sister, Maria Loredo, Coldwater; brother, Alfedo Loredo, Coldwater; grandparents, Ignacia Lopez, Faustina Baoz and Vincente Alvarez.
Thomas Richard Hardin
HERNANDO - Services for Thomas Richard Hardin, 70, retired parts and inventory controller for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft, were Sunday. Hardin died Aug. 3, 2009. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church Hernando. He leaves two daughters, Becky Hardin, Long Beach, Calif., Maryann Hardin, Long Beach Calif.; one son, Robert Hardin, Long Beach; two sisters, Nancy Steadham, Nesbit, Dorothy Williams Selmer, Tenn.; two brothers, James Hardin, Hernando, Danny Hardin, Greenwood; two grandchildren, Amanda Hardin and Jeremy Hardin. He was preceded in death by his parents, O.W. "Shorty" and Jewell Hardin; a sister, Charlene Riley. Any memorials may be sent to Parkway Baptist Church Building Fund. Donald Meyer
SOUTHAVEN - Visitation for Donald Meyer, 72, will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, Southaven. Meyer died Aug. 9, 2009 after a two year battle with cancer. He moved to Southaven in 1999 from the Philadelphia, Penn., area where he was born, July 20, 1937. He graduated from Penn State in 1961. He was an avid bowler and golfer, with two holes-in-one to his credit, the 5th hole at Galloway and one in Penn. He qualified twice for the National Senior Olympics in golf, Pittsburgh in 2005 and Louisville in 2007. He was also an accomplished cabinetmaker. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Mildred (Taylor) Meyer and brother, Robert. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Helen Stewart Meyer, son Christian (Teresa) of Royersford, Penn., daughter Stacy Locantro of Kenner, La., son Eric (Dana) of Sewickley, Penn., and brother Carl (Elaine) of North Venice, Fla. He leaves 5 grandsons, Anthony, Eric, Tyler, Kyle, and Ryan and one great grandson, Tyler David.
