Interment will be in Forest Hill cemetery, Midtown, Memphis. Jordan died Aug. 6, 2009. She was born icon Sept. 19, 1959 to Johnny and Josie Hylander and was a member of Cedarview Baptist Church, Olive Branch. She leaves her husband of 25 years, Byron Jordan, Southaven; two sons, Wesley Jordan (Amanda), Olive Branch and Brandon Jordan, Southaven; two brothers, Joe Hylander and Johnny Hylander, bot of Southaven. Any memorials may be made to A&E; Hospice, Inc., 6810 Crumpler Boulevard, Suite 101, Olive Branch, 38654.

Marjorie "Jane" Gandolph
BUFFALO, N.Y. - A memorial mass will be held for Marjorie "Jane" Gandolph, 91, at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John's Parish, Alden, N.Y. Gandolph died Aug. 4, 2009, in Batesville. She was married icon to Stephen A. Gandolph over 60 years. She was the mother of nine; grandmother of 17 and great-grandmother of 20. She leaves her brother, John Wilkinson; children, Stephen A. Gandolph, Marjorie Current, David Gandolph, Gloria Mitchell, Lois Smith, Michael Gandolph, Joseph Gandolph, Mary Bates and Judy King. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery, Cheektowaga N.Y.

James Michael Jeffries
DESOTO COUNTY — Services for James Michael Jeffries, 55 formerly of Southern Thunder Harley Davidson, will be held at 6 p.m. Aug. 10 at Lake Forest Baptist Church, 7180 Goodman Road, Walls. Jeffries died Aug. 2, 2009. He leaves his wife, Katie Abston Jeffries; stepson, Matthew Thomas Rodriguez (Kathy); his mother, Mary Jeffries, Memphis; four siblings, William Thomas Jeffries (Cricket), Cooksville, Tenn., Anna Marie Thompson, Memphis, John Gregory Jeffries, Southaven, Patrick Eugene Jeffries (Sarah), Cordova, Tenn.; 10 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Tommy Jeffries.

HENANDO — Graveside services for Janet Lee Roberts, 47, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Love cemetery. Hernando Funeral Home has charge. Roberts died Aug. 6, 2009 at her residence. She leaves her former husband, Johnny Lee Roberts, Hernando; daughter, Jessica Lee Quinn (Darrell), Reagan, Tenn.; parents, Catherine and Zane Grey Murphy, Hernando; sisters, Catherine Dyanne Franklin, Waynesville, N.C., Betty Harrell, Hernando; granddaughter, Kayla Lee Quinn.

OLIVE BRANCH — Services for Barbara Anne Stowe, 59, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Brantley Funeral Home, Olive Branch. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Stowe died Aug. 2, 2009. She was retired from Parker-Hannifin. She leaves a son Brian (Marcia) Stowe; daughter, Allison McKenzie, all of Olive Branch; her parents, Charlie and Dot Long, Glassboro, N.J.; grandchildren, Destiny and Nathan Stowe and Kayla, Stephen and Becca McKenzie.

Rhonda C. Thompson
OLIVE BRANCH — Services for Rhonda C. Thompson, 52, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Brantley Funeral Home, Olive Branch. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Interment will be in East Laurel cemetery, Jackson, Tenn. Thompson died Aug. 3, 2009, losing a battle with cancer. She attended Maples Memorial United Methodist Church, was a former Girl Scout Leader, registered nurse. She leaves her husband, Jack P. Thompson; four daughters, Ashley, Krystal, Mallory Carrasquilla and Nicki Thompson; a son, Aaron Thompson, all of Olive Branch; her mother, Yvonne Marley, Bartlett; and a sister, Lori Woodruff (Cole), Senatobia. She was preceded in death by her father, James B. Marley. Any memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society.

Lee Earle Seawright
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Graveside services for Lee Earle Seawright, 78, will be at 1 p.m. at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens, Southaven today. He was born icon Oct. 31 1930 in Walnut. He died Aug. 3, 2009 at Methodist South. He leaves two sons, Rickey L. Seawright of Olive Branch, and Robert B. Seawright of Southaven; two sisters, Mary Dean Nevels of Memphis and Ann Booker of Atlanta, Ga.; and two grandchildren, Jared Seawright and Ryan James Seawright. The family requests that any memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Steven P. Crowdus
OLIVE BRANCH — Services for Steven P. Crowdus, 64, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Brantley Funeral Home, Olive Branch. Crowdus died Aug. 4, 2009. He leaves his wife of 45 years, Carole; three children, Barry, Leslie Jobe and Shawn; nine grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5-8 today at the funeral home. Interment will be in Blocker cemetery.

Van B. Young
Olive Branch - Services for Van B. Young, 80, who died of heart failure June 14, 2001 at Progressive Care Center- Desoto, will be held at 11 a.m. June 18, 2001 at Brantley Funeral Home, with a burial at Kingdom cemetery.
Mr. Van B. Young, a former member of Mineral Wells Baptist Church, leaves a son, Van Robert Young of Oxford; a sister, Georgia Milam of Arkansas; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Any contributions may be sent to Mineral Wells Baptist Church.

Hugh Birmingham
OLIVE BRANCH - Services for Hugh Birmingham, 72, of Olive Branch, retired professor of music, who died of heart failure June 17, 2001 at Cordova Rehab, will be held at 10 a.m. today at Brantley Funeral Home, with burial in Blocker cemetery.
He was a member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church. He leaves a son, Anthony N. Birmingham of Hermitage, Tenn.; a sister, DeSha White of Jackson, Miss.; and two brothers, Walter White of Mandeville, La., and Lewis White of New Orleans.

John Allen Collier, Jr.
SOUTHAVEN - Graveside services for John Allen Collier, Jr., 85, of Southaven, formerly of Leland, Miss., self-employed cotton planter, and former superintendent for Parchman Penitentiary, who died of congestive heart failure June 16, 2001 at his home, were held June 19 at First Baptist Church in Southaven, with graveside services at Leland-Stoneville cemetery in Leland. Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven had charge.
He was a Deacon and Sunday school superintendent at First Baptist Church in Leland, and Deacon in Southaven, Pilot for the U.S. Air Force in WWII, also serving the Ferry Command and Air Transport Command. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross Air Medal, American Campaign Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, and the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal with 3 Bronze Stars.

James L. Barlow
Southaven - Services for James L. Barlow, 71, of Southaven, who died of respiratory failure June 20, 2001 at Baptist Desoto Hospital, will be held at 10 a.m. June 22 at Forest Hill South Chapel with a burial at Forest Hill South cemetery.
Mr. James L. Barlow, widower of Lynda F. Barlow, and a former claims supervisor for Gordon's Transports and retired claims supervisor for Transcon Trucklines, and member of First Baptist Church of Southaven, also leaves two daughters, DeNise B. Love of Olive Branch, and Patricia B. Mothershead of Byhalia; two sisters, Lorraine Wyrick of Friendship, Tenn, and Jean Campbell of Oxford; a brother, Robert Freano of Selma, Ala; and two grandchildren. Any contributions may be sent to Gideon's International, the American Heart Association, or the American Diabetes Foundation.

Clytee Brewer
OLIVE BRANCH - Services for Clytee Brewer, 92, of Olive Branch, retired clerk, who died Feb. 1, 2003 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto, will be 10 a.m. today at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch, with burial in Pleasant Hill cemetery.
She was a member of Fairhaven Baptist Church. Mrs. Brewer, the widow of Hugh Allen Brewer, leaves a daughter, Margaret Murphy; a son, Pete Brewer, both of Olive Branch; a sister, Eloise Davis of Memphis; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

Leo Irene Carroll
HERNANDO - Services for Leo Irene Carroll, 86, of Hernando, agent for Illinois Central Railroad, who died Feb. 2, 2003 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, Miss., will be 11 a.m. Feb. 5 at Hernando United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with burial in Hernando Memorial Park. Hernando Funeral Home has charge.
He was a Navy veteran of WWII, an Eagle Scout with twenty-eight merit badges, The First Eagle Scout in the history of Bridgewater, Miss., played baseball, hockey, and boxed for the University of Mass.
He leaves two sons, James L. Carroll of Jackson, Miss., and Charles A. Carroll of Hernando; a sister, June Carroll of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Joseph L. Carroll of Baker, La., and Richard Carroll of Brooklyn, Mass.; and four grandchildren.
