MORRIS
Barbara "Bob" Eldora Morris, 87, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Tuesday, July 30, 2002, in Pascagoula. She was born icon in Bayou La Batre, Ala., on Dec. 18, 1914. She was a lifelong resident of Pascagoula, Miss., and a member of Unity Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, married icon to George Roy Morris for the past 70 years and a loving mother of 10 children. She was a kind and gentle grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and a friend to all. She will be sadly missed. She was preceded in death by a son, George Emery Morris.
Survivors include her husband, George Roy Morris of Pascagoula; four daughters, Helen Whalen of New Orleans, La., Kathy Pounds of Pascagoula, Mary Alice Morris of Mont Belvieu, Texas, Esther Le Normand of Liberty, Texas; five sons, Roy Morris of Pascagoula, Philip Morris of Coden, Ala., Clyde Morris of Pascagoula, Lonnie Morris of Vancleave, and Ted Morris of Pascagoula; three sisters, Lorraine Wise of Vancleave, Eva Waters of Pascagoula, Eula Large of Vidor, Texas; two brothers, Irby and Ben Tillman, both of Pascagoula; 30 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 31, 6 to 8 p.m., at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula.
Funeral service will be Thursday, Aug. 1, at 1 p.m., from Unity Baptist Church in Pascagoula with the Rev. Ken Hembree officiating. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be in Machpelah cemetery, Pascagoula.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Unity Baptist Church or The Hospice of Light. The family would like to thank the Hospice of Light staff for the outstanding care they provided.

DOCKERY
John D. Dockery, went home to be with his Lord, June 25, 2002. He was born icon in Groesbeck, Texas, but lived in Jacksonville, Fla., most of his life. Mr. Dockery served in the 8th Air Force during WWII. He was a graduate of Michigan State and South Georgia College. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jacksonville and was a Shriner.
He is survived by his wife, Marthalyn Dockery; his daughter, Carol Magdalein; his two sons, Richard and Randall Dockery. He is predeceased by a son, John David Dockery, Jr.
Mr. Dockery was owner and operator of Atrex Transmissions in Pascagoula for many years and had resided in Gautier, Miss.

PINTER
Hughie Pinter, 78, of Franklin Creek, Miss., died Sunday, July 28, 2002, in Franklin Creek. He was born icon Feb. 11, 1924, in Leake, Miss., and has been a resident of Jackson County for 40 years. He was a retired carpenter and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his son, Billy Pat Pinter.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Jonelle Pinter, Franklin Creek; daughter, Ercelle Pinter, Franklin Creek; daughter-in-law, Karen Pinter, Grand Bay, Ala.; granddaughter, Rachel Price; two great grandchildren, Jordan and Jarrod Price, all of Grand Bay, Ala.; six sisters, Exie Woods, Grand Bay, Ala., Delmar Smoke, Chicago, Ill., Floye Watts, Ruth Russell, Lodie Price, all of Walnut Grove, Miss., Faye Wolverton, Agricola, Miss.; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 30, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pascagoula Miss.
Graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. at Pecan Magnolia cemetery, Franklin Creek, Miss.

WYNDER
Mr. Jessie Wynder, 84, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Wednesday, July 24, 2002, in Pascagoula. Mr. Wynder was born icon June 1, 1918, in Fernwood, Miss. He was of the Baptist faith, and had been a resident of the Jackson County area since 1945.
Mr. Wynder was formerly employed with Estabrook Ford of Pascagoula, and was a U. S. Army Veteran of World War II.
He's preceded in death by both parents, and his wife, Marie Cook Wynder.
Survivors include one son, Rev. Emile (Earnestine) Cook, Pascagoula; four grandchildren, Karen (Timothy) McCovery, Dale City, Virginia, Jocelyn (David) Brooks, Atlanta, Ga., Marie (Adrian) Gainer, Memphis, Tenn., Emile J. Cook, Jr., Pascagoula; three great grandchildren, Princess D. McCovery, Patrice McCovery and Adrain Gainer, Jr.; one devoted friend, Matthew Woodson, Hurley, Miss.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 31, 12 noon until 2 p.m. at Robinson's Funeral Home Chapel, 4301 Main St., Moss Point.
Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. from the chapel, with the Rev. Alphonso Petway officiating, Pastor of Asbury Chapel AME Zion Church, Pascagoula.
Interment will be in Gabriel cemetery, Pascagoula.

CARTER
Claudie Teresa Carter, age 95, died Saturday, July 27, 2002, in Moss Point, Miss. She was born icon in Mobile, Ala., on Sept. 7, 1906. Mrs. Carter was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Moss Point, Miss.
She was preceded in death by her parents Claude and Mary R. Moore, husband Roy Carter and two sons, Ronnie and Roy C. Carter. Survivors include one daughter, Earline Carter Brun of Moss Point, Miss., special daughter-in-law Dorothy Carter of Moss Point and one brother, Morrelle F. Moore of Bayou LaBatre, Ala.; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, July 29, 2002, from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, Miss.
A procession will leave the funeral home at 10:45 a.m. for an 11 a.m. Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Joe Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Griffin cemetery in Moss Point, Miss. Holder-Wells is in charge of arrangements.

THAYER
Mary Catherine Thayer, 87, of Pascagoula and formerly of Redding, Calif., died Saturday, July 27, 2002, in Pascagoula.
She was born icon Aug. 28, 1914, in Carneiro, Kan., and was a member of the Christian Church in Redding, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Harry Thayer; a daughter, Mary Lorene Foley; and great-grandsons, Richard and Calvin Fore.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Don and Shirley German, and Roger and Karen German of Pascagoula; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today, July 28, 2002 from 2 until 2:45 p.m. at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. at Jackson County Memorial Gardens in Pascagoula with the Rev. Gary Knight officiating.
Pallbearers will be Bob Wiley, Christopher Wiley, David Stringfellow, Todd German, Shawn German and Richard Fore.
Memorials can be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, Attention: Memorial Department, 501 St. Judes Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
Funeral arrangements are by O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pascagoula, Miss.

HARRIS
Leonard Ray Harris, 41, of Pascagoula, Miss., made his transition on Sunday, July 21, 2002. He was born icon January 11, 1961, in Jackson County, Miss.
He is survived by four devoted sons, Leonard LaShunn Bradley, Tyrese McBeath, Martin Robinson, Tyravian Miller, and one devoted daughter, Taneshia Olivia Harris; two grandchildren, James Bradley and Camarion Bradley; 11 sisters; and nine brothers.
Viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, July 27, at Christian Love Church of The Living God on Chillis Street in Moss Point.
Funeral Services will begin promptly at 1 p.m., from the church with Overseer D.A. Graham officiating.
Interment will be in Scranton cemetery, Pascagoula, Miss.
Services of Love are being Rendered by Millender's Funeral Home, Moss Point, Miss.

HARRIS
Lillie Mae (Sue) Harris, 80, of Escatawpa, Miss., died July 25, 2002, in Pascagoula. She was born icon November 2, 1921, in Jackson County. She was a member of Escatawpa Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Harris was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Edgar and Flora A. Hester and husband, William L. Harris, Sr.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Ann Grube and Betty Ann Harris, both of Escatawpa; three sons, William L. Harris, Jr., of Helena, Gerald E. (Jerry) Harris of Lucedale and Robert E. (Bobby) Harris of Escatawpa; three brothers, Kennie Hester of Gautier, Tommy Hester of Escatawpa and Carl Hester of Grand Bay; one sister, Lucille Holloman of Tupelo; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, July 26, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. Funeral Service will be Saturday, July 27, at 2:30 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Forrest Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Serene Memorial Gardens, Escatawpa.

ROBERTS
Richard Marvin Roberts, 88, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Wednesday, July 24, 2002, at his home. He was born icon February 9, 1914, in Carriere, Miss. Mr. Roberts was a United States Army veteran having served during World War II and the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, an executive committee member of the Jackson Co. Baptist Association and a member of Franklin Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Mr. Charlie B. and Mrs. Mary E. Roberts; his first wife, Frances Elizabeth Roberts; two children, Richard M. Roberts, Jr. and Frances Roberts; three sisters, Inez Thomas, Barbara Hutcherson, and Mae Black; five brothers, Leroy, Bob, Bill, Harvey, and Walter Roberts; and a son-in-law, Robert Kennedy.
Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alma
Leola Roberts of Pascagoula; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Helen Kennedy of Helena, Carolyn and Jonathon Houglum of Franklin, N.C., and Linda and Wally Sunde of Theodore, Ala.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Jean Roberts of Mobile, Ala., Wayne and Debra Roberts of Spring, Texas, and Frankie and Susan Roberts of Theodore, Ala.; two step-sons and daughters-in-law, Jackie and Ruthie Herrington of Quitman, and Everette and Sissy Herrington of Edwards; a sister, Ruby Jarrell of Pascagoula; 39 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, July 26, from 6 until 9 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 27, at 11 a.m., from Franklin Creek Baptist Church in Moss Point with the Rev. Greg Foster and the Rev. Jerry Lennep officiating. There will be a one hour visitation in the church prior to service time.
Interment will follow in Orange Grove cemetery, Moss Point.
Pallbearers will be T.G. Daughdrill, Willie Austin, Jim Clark, Shane Crosby, Lonnie Brown, and Hebert Cowart.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to the Franklin Creek Baptist Church Bus Fund: 11505 Independence Rd. Moss Point, MS 39562.

DUNNAM
Mr. Cecil Dunnam, 79, died July 22, 2002, at Mobile Infirmary, Mobile, Ala. Mr. Dunnam was a native of Greene County, Miss., and a resident of Billy Knight Road, Lucedale, Miss. Mr. Dunnam was a salesman. He was a World War II Air Force Veteran. He also retired from Ingalls Shipyard as a supervisor in the pipe department, and was employed at Wal-Mart for 13 years. He was a deacon at the First Baptist Church in Lucedale.
Survivors include his wife, Florence Dunnam of Lucedale; three children, Steve (Jacque) Dunnam of Fairhope, Ala., Mike (Elaine) Dunnam of Mobile, Ala., and Pam (Danny) Hartsfield of Lucedale; five grandchildren, Macalah Dunnam, Leigh Dunnam, Michael Dunnam, Somer (Jason) Cochran and Nicholas (Connie) Hartsfield; one great grandchild, Makensie Hartsfield.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 24, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Sigler Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thursday, July 25, at 10 a.m. from First Baptist Church in Lucedale. Interment will follow in the Magnolia cemetery. The Rev. Bud Parker and Bro. Roger Gilbert will conduct the funeral services.
