WORDLAW
Mr. John Henry Wordlaw, 52, a resident of Columbia, Md., died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004, at Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, Md. John was a 1971 graduate of Moss Point High School. He was regional director, Region 5, of the Veterans Canteen Service until his death. His retirement was effective on Oct. 3, 2004. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to all.
CAULEY
Michael Dale Cauley Sr., 44, of Vancleave, Miss., died Oct. 2, 2004, at his home as a result of a fishing accident. At the time of his death, Mr. Cauley was employed in the Hull Department at Northrop Grumman Ship Systems. An avid sportsman and volunteer youth sports coach, Mr. Cauley was a native of Pascagoula and lifelong resident of Jackson County. He was born
Dec. 2, 1959, and graduated from Pascagoula High School. Mr. Cauley was preceded in death by a brother, Scott Alan Cauley, and a sister, Martha "Didge" Cauley Brown.
HARRIS
Katie Pearl Morant Harris, 71, of Pascagoula, Miss., passed away on Oct. 1, 2004, in Pascagoula.
WALKER
Jack Roaul Walker Sr., age 84, born
May 2, 1920, in Pasca-goula, Miss., died Oct. 5, 2004, at his residence. He was one of 14 children, and was a life-long resident of Pascagoula. Mr. Walker retired from the International Paper Company in Moss Point after 35 years of service. He was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, served as treasurer of the Pascagoula Volunteer Fire Department, and was a member of the Pascagoula Senior Citizens Center. He was the owner of Walker's Snack Shop next to Pascagoula Junior High School for 34 years. Mr. Walker was a veteran of the United States Navy, having fought in the Pacific Theater during World War II, and was a member of the National Association of USS-LCS (L) 1-130, and was an avid Ole Miss fan.
GATLIN
Louis Samuel Gatlin passed away Oct. 1, 2004, at his home surrounded by his loving family. His death followed a battle for six years with a heart condition and more recently leukemia.
QUINN
Miss Nelle Quinn, 92, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, at Plaza Living Community Center. She was born
Feb. 18, 1912, in Bogue Chitto, Miss., and was a resident of Pascagoula, Miss., since 1946. Nelle worked as a bookkeeper for Hancock Bank (Pascagoula-Moss Point Bank) for Gary Smith Insurance Agency and John F. Bryan, Attorney at Law.

Mr. John Lee Ables, 69, of Moss Point, Miss., died Oct. 2, 2004, in Jackson, Miss. Ables was born
on July 27, 1935, in Wanilla, Miss. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Big Point, Miss., he served in the United States Air Force and was a Mason.

Willie Joseph Chestang, born
Jan. 23, 1929, to the late Willie J. Chestang and Millie Howard, departed this life on Sept. 26, 2004. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Connie Renee Chestang and Angela Dale Chestang. He was a lifelong resident of Moss Point, Miss. for 75 years. He was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, and retired from International Paper Company.

on Oct. 24, 1951, in Monroe, La., to Willie Newton and Hazel Kathryn Smith. Johnny, or JJ, as he was known by his friends and co-workers at Northrop Grumman, was a pipefitter by trade.

Mrs. Lura Darlene Bishop, 76, of Moss Point, Miss., died Sept. 26, 2004, at her residence. She was born
Nov. 27, 1927, in Lenpah, Okla. Mrs. Bishop was a retired postal carrier. She was preceded in death by her parents, John B. and Naomi A. Eaton; husband, Warren Grandville Bishop; daughter, Louise Shaw; sons, Wilbur and Albert Bishop; sister, Mamie Long; and brother, William Eaton.
BUFFORD
William "Bill" Bufford, age 52. A native of Jonesboro, Ark. and a longtime resident of Grand Bay, Ala., passed away at a hospital in Houston, Texas on Friday, Sept. 24, 2004. He was employed by Northrop Grumman Ship Systems as an electrician for 34 years. He was a faithful and dedicated member of Higher Ground Baptist Church of Irvington, Ala. He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde A. Bufford; and a brother, Clayton Hall.
GRAFTON
A. D. Grafton, 74, of Gautier, Miss., died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2004, at his home. He was born
Dec. 10, 1929, in Jones County, Miss., and has been a resident of Gautier for 28 years. He was the owner of Coast Carpet and Draperies in Pascagoula from April 1962 to November 2002. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during World War II. Mr. Grafton was a member of First Baptist Church in Gautier, Miss.

Calvin Edward "Bud" McCool, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and one of our sweetest, beloved treasures, passed into the safe arms of Jesus on Sept. 25, 2004. He was a lifelong resident of Jackson County. He served in the United States Navy during World War II.

Mrs. Doris Jean Palmer, 54, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004, at her home in Franklin Creek. She was born
Feb. 11, 1950, in Pascagoula. Mrs. Palmer had worked for many years in the cafeteria of Moss Point High School, and was a member of Forts Lake Assembly of God Church.
