MIZER
Mrs. Maxine Almeda Vice Mizer, 84, of Pascagoula, Miss., died March 6, 2006. Holder-Wells Funeral Home, Moss Point, Miss.

BURKETT
Charles "Blair" Burkett, 53, of Pascagoula, Miss., passed from this earth to be with his Heavenly Father on March 1, 2006. He was with his loving family in Hurley, Miss., at the time of his passing. Mr. Burkett was born icon and raised in Winter Haven, Fla. He lived in the Pascagoula Gautier area for the last 40 years. He was a graduate from Pascagoula High School and he took several classes at Jackson County Junior College. He was a machinist at Ingalls for many years, an avid saltwater fisherman and a cross country truck driver. He was a care taker to his mother who had suffered a stroke in 1993. He loved his children more than they might know.
Mr. Burkett is preceded in death by his father Fred William "Bill" Burkett, also James H. "Jim" Bains, III, who was a father figure and mentor to him and his best dog "Killer".
He is survived by his daughter, Jessica (Skipper) Stork of Orange Grove, Miss.; his mother, Vivian Burkett of Hurley; and his sister, Holly Prassenos of Hurley; his grandchildren, Terry Stork, Eric Piechocki and Maddox Stork. His nieces, Ange A. (Micheal) Clemons, Alicia J. (Jared) Morrison, Amber E. Prassenos and his nephew, Cpl. Harry George Prassenos, III, USMC. Grand nieces, Felecia N. Clemons and Sara N. Morrison; grand nephews, James M. Clemons, Jesse W. Clemons and Joshua Clemons. Best friends, Jimmy Bains, Pat Cox and Greg Roberts, who was with him through out it all. Survivors also include his cherished friends Jesse and Cookie Wolfe. In addition he is survived by his dog "Rebo" whom he loved very, very much.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday March 9, 2006, at Heritage Fu-neral Home.

CUNNINGHAM
Christian James Cunningham, age 4, of Gautier, Miss., passed away on Monday, March 6, 2006. Christian was born icon on Sept. 19, 2001, in Ocean Springs to Jimmy and Sue Ann Cunningham of Gautier.
He is preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Hattie and Willie Reeves; paternal grandparents, Kaliopy "Moma Byrd" and Frank Byrd, Don and Kitsey Cunningham.
Christian is survived by his parents; three sisters, Angelique Cunningham, Oklahoma, Tori Waterman, Louisiana, and Zoe Cunningham, Gautier; maternal grandmother, Geraldine Gardner, Gautier; paternal grandparents, Jim and Dimmie Cunningham, Gautier; aunts and uncles, Cindy and Mike Downs, Moss Point, Angie and David Mason, Moss Point, David Cunningham, Gautier; numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 8, 2006, 6 until 9 p.m. at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pascagoula, Miss.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, March 9, 2006, 2 p.m., at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula with Rev. Rodger Bradley, Rev. Dan Bradley and Rev. Greg Spencer officiating.
Interment will follow at Jackson County Memorial Park, Pascagoula, Miss.
Pallbearers will be Ashley Nelson, Christopher Reeves, Phillip Reeves, and Cecil Shish.

DOWNEY
Patricia Ann (Fischbach) Downey was born icon in Aberdeen, S.D., on June 23, 1931, and died on March 6, 2006, at River Chase Village Nursing Center in Gautier, Miss.
She is survived by her husband, James R. Downey, and six children, Patricia Sue Hipps (Max), Pendleton, S.C., James Michael Downey, Biloxi, Miss., Bernard Mitchell Downey, Savannah, Ga., Russell Bernard Downey, Burbank, Calif., Mary Ann Hart (Robin), Pascagoula, Miss., and Mitchell Kent Downey, Las Vegas, Nev. She has two grandchildren, Benjamin Hart and Erin Downey.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church since 1972.

GREEN
Mrs. Maggie Prock-Green, age 87, of San Antonio, Texas, died Sunday morning March 5, 2006, in a San Antonio care center. born icon Aug. 5, 1918, in Franklinton, La., she was a former longtime resident of both Houston, Texas and Gautier, Miss. Mrs. Prock-Green was owner of Prock Builders Inc. in Houston for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Gautier. She enjoyed doing civic work and had been active in American Legion Auxiliary, V.F.W. Women's Auxiliary, and Gautier Civitan Club, she held various offices in each organization. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Among her survivors are one son, Charles Prock and his wife Carol of San Antonio, Texas; four grandchildren, Tony Prock of The Woodlands, Texas, Ann Harris and husband Paul and their children Amber and Chase of San Antonio, Texas, Johnna Nerios and her husband Joe L. and their children Bryce and Haley of San Antonio, Texas, David McDougall of Phoenix, Ariz.; two nieces, Sandra Commiskey and her husband Mike and their daughter Christy of Mobile, Ala., and Linda Gandy and her husband Kent and their daughter Ava of Hattiesburg, Miss.; also one brother-in-law, Fred Tucei of Gautier, Miss.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 9, 2006, from First Baptist Church Gautier with Brother David Aultman officiating.
Interment will follow in Gautier cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 8, 2006, from 6 to 8 p.m. at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Gautier Funeral Home.

PAVELCHAK
Mr. Joseph Pavelchak, Jr. A native of Carbondale, Pa., and a resident of Grand Bay for the past eight years died Sunday, March 5, 2006, at a Grand Bay Healthcare facility. He was a longtime resident of the Mississippi and Alabama Coasts.
Mr. Pavelchak served in the Civilian Conservation Corps prior to volunteering for the U.S. Army in World War II. He continued his military service in the Army Air Corps and retired after 23 years of active duty in the U.S. Air Force. He served as a Justice of the Peace in Moss Point, Miss., and worked at Mississippi Chemical until he retired a second time. He was a member of Escatawpa Baptist Church and a member of V.F.W. Post 3373 in Pascagoula, Miss. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Anastasia Scuba Pavelchak Sr. His brothers, Stephen, Basil, Theodore, John, Peter, Joseph and Nicholas, his sister Anna and his first wife, Helen.
He is survived by his wife of eight years, Mrs. Faye Pavelchak, Grand Bay; one son, Travis j. McDonald Jr., Deerfield Beach, Fla.; five daughters, Lettie (Robert) Jackson, Grand Bay, Donna Koraska, Grand Bay, Ruth (Bobby) Wright, Mobile, Susan Allen, Pensacola, Fla., Mary (Edward) Hall, Grand Bay; one sister Mary (John) Okorn, Simpson, Pa.; 14 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at 3 p.m. from the Chapel of Serenity Funeral Home. Interment with full military honors by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard Unit in Serenity Memorial Gardens.

BROWN
MR. GERALD FLOYD BROWN SR., 67, of Pearl River County, Miss., died March 5, 2006. White Funeral Home, Poplarville, Miss.

JENNINGS
Don Ellwood Jennings Sr., 65, passed Feb. 12, 2006, at Northwest Medical Center, Tucson, Ariz.
Don was born icon on March 20, 1940, at 811 Whitney St., Hattiesburg, Miss. to the late Bethew Bertrand and Mattie Woods Jennings.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Glenn Jennings and his oldest daughter, LaDonna Joycette Jennings.
He leaves to cherish his memories, one son, Don Ellwood Jennings, Jr. and his youngest daughter, Brittany Mattye Elizabeth Jennings and two brothers, Bethew Bertrand (Carolyn) Jennings, Jr. and Robert Wallace (Loretta) Jennings, sisters-in-law Betty Glenn of Seattle, Washington, Ceola Price and Doris Christian of Oklahoma and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Don was a member of the 1957 graduating class of Carver High School, Pascagoula, Miss. and the 1962 graduating class of Tougaloo University, Jackson Miss.
As a youth, Don played the violin; tap danced in a dance group, and was known for singing his version of Larry Darnell's "I'll Get Along Somehow". He was also known for drawing caricatures of his classmates and teachers while sitting in class.
He won seven consecutive "Teacher of the Year" awards and authored a Science Workbook for his science students in the Meridian, Miss. Public School System where he began his career. He was also a Civil Rights Activist in Lauderdale County, Miss. before moving on to graduate work at the University of Arizona in Tucson. There he worked in Gerontology with City of Tucson and returned to teaching to end his career in Nogales, Ariz.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Alysha Young, a friend of Brittany's for assisting in care giving and the Adair Funeral Home for the professional arrangements with Dr. Reverend Amanda Goodson officiating.
Mrs. Vickie Renea Harmon, 50, of Three Rivers Community, died March 6, 2006. Millender's Funeral Home, Moss Point, Miss.

McCULLOUGH
Mrs. Susie Thelma McCullough, age 73, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Sunday, March 5, 2006. She was born icon June 3, 1932, in Lamar County, Miss. and has been a lifelong resident of Pascagoula.
Mrs. McCullough was a former employee of Sav-Rex Pharmacy where she was employed as a sales clerk.
She is survived by her sons: Charles E. Howell, Jr. of Pascagoula, Robert D. Howell of Bay St. Louis, Miss., William Strawbridge of Pascagoula and Rush McCullough of Grand Bay, Ala.; daughters: Ashleigh McCullough Gibson (Sean) of Enterprise, Ala. and Ruby Hunt of Vancleave, Miss.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers: Robert (Glory) Smith of Camden, S.C., Billy C. Smith of Ocean Springs, Miss. and Vernon Smith of Ocean Springs, Miss.
Arrangements are incomplete at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pascagoula, Miss.

DAVIS
Deborah Sue Holland Davis, 50, of Helena, Miss. passed away on March 4, 2006, at her home. She was employed as an LPN and has been a Home Health Nurse.
She is preceeded in death by her parents, Taft Cecil and Lilar Rae Holland.
She is survived by her husband, Joel T. Davis; Helena, sons, Timothy Brian Davis, Rockwall, Texas, Todd Nathaniel (Kellie) Davis, Youngsville, N.C. and Matthew Joel (Beverly) Davis, Helena; daughter, Hannah Jo Davis, Helena; brother, Lyman Jackson Holland, Gulfport, Miss.; sister, Mary Alice Ladnier, Helena; brother, Larry Neal Holland, Lucedale, Miss.; sister, Sharon Louise Gray, Helena; brother, Carl Edwin Holland, Big Point, Miss.; grandchildren, Andrew Davis, Aaron Davis and Nathan Davis; numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 6, 2006, from 6 -9 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Escatawpa, Miss.
Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at 10 a.m. from the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Tom Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Serene Memorial Gardens, Escatawpa, Miss.
Arrangements by Heritage Funeral Home, Escatawpa, Miss., locally owned and operated.

JORDAN
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Smith Jordan, 80, of Moss Point, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 3, 2006, while surrounded by her family and friends in Pascagoula. Mrs. Jordan was born icon July 1, 1925, and was a lifelong resident of Moss Point. She was retired from K-Mart in Pascagoula, and was an active member of Helena Baptist Church. As her many friends would say, to know Mary Jordan was to love her.
Mrs. Jordan was preceded in death by her father and mother, Mr. Clarence E. and Emma Hudson Smith, her husband, Mr. Harmon W. Jordan and a brother, J.V. Smith.
She is survived by four sons and daughters in law, Harmon W., Jr. and Margit Jordan and Richard T. and Linda Jordan, all of Grand Bay, Ala., Clarence E. and Sherry Jordan,of St. Elmo, Ala., and John Kelly and Sissy Jordan of Helena. Four daughters and two sons in law, Patricia and Kelly Palmer of Ft. Myers, Fla., Diane Ivy of Saltillo, and Jeanette and Gene Hyman and Rena Meredith, all of Helena. Five brothers, Denson Smith and Gene Smith, both of Moss Point, Braxton Smith and Woodrow Smith, both of Grand Bay, Ala., and Al Smith of Chattanooga, Tenn. One sister, Massalee Courtney of Sumrall, 23 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, two very special long time friends, Thellis Johnson and Mary Dyess, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, March 6, 2006, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at 2 p.m. from Helena Baptist Church in Helena with Dr. Robbie Howard officiating. There will be a one hour visitation in the church prior to service time.
Interment will follow in Serene Memorial Gardens, Escatawpa, Miss.
Pallbearers will be Harmon W. Jordan, Jr., Richard T. Jordan, Clarence E. Jordan, John Kelly Jordan, Gene Hyman and Kelly Palmer.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023 Merrifield, Va. 22116-7023.
