HILL
Brother Stanfield Hill Jr., 78, of Lucedale, Miss., was born
Oct. 16, 1926. Mr. Hill passed on to eternal life on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004, at his residence.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at Basin Temple Church of God In Christ, Lucedale, Miss.
Interment will be in Cowan cemetery, Lucedale.

MULLEN
Billy Wayne Mullen, born
Dec. 29, 1931, in El Dorado, Ark., and a resident of Pascagoula, Miss., for many years, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004. Mr. Mullen was a retired chemist having worked at Ingalls Shipbuilding, where he retired after 35 years of service. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and geology, having graduated from Mississippi Southern College, now known as The University of Southern Mississippi, and was a Korean War Veteran, having served in the United States Army.
Mr. Mullen is preceded in death by his parents, E.B. and Zeffie McKinnon Mullen; and his brother, Col. Charles F. Mullen.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mrs. Dorothy Huffman Mullen; one son, Ben (Marie) Mullen of Ocean Springs, Miss.; one sister, Virginia M. Pickering of West Monroe, La.; and his aunt and uncle, Wendall (Joy) Barbaree, of El Dorado, Ark.; other relatives and many friends.
The Mullen family would like to thank two employees of Hospice of Light, Angie and Michelle and from PDN, Kimberly, for all of the love and care shown to Mr. Mullen and his family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, Pascagoula's "Good Samaritan" Fund.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Bruce Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Machpelah cemetery.
ROUSSEL
Mona Lea Roussel, 57, of Biloxi, Miss., died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004, in Biloxi. Ms. Roussel was a longtime resident of the Coast, and had worked as a Wal-Mart associate in Ocean Springs for five years. She was of the Catholic faith.
Ms. Roussel was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Tate; a sister, Virginia Egan; and a stepbrother, Tony Tate.
She is survived by her longtime companion, Allen Ross of Gautier, Miss.; daughter Nicole King and husband, James, of Ocean Springs, Miss.; son, Bradley Roussel of Gautier; sister, Linda Richard of Thibodaux, La.; stepsister, Ann Bourgeois of Raceland, La.; brother, Tom Roussel of Mandeville, La.; her father, Ned J. Roussel of Huntington Beach, Calif.; two grandchildren, Margaret Ann King and James Rex King, III; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Chez Charles Place, 1601 Government St., Ocean Springs, Miss.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to: Quality Hospice, 999 Howard Ave., Biloxi, MS. 39530.

SMITH
Wynell Smith, 66, a native of Willspoint, Texas, and lifelong resident of Houston, Texas, passed away Thursday, Oct. 9, 2004, at the age of 66. Ms. Smith moved to Gautier in 1999, and had been a Key Punch Operator for many years prior to her moving to Gautier, where she resided with her daughter, Dea, and her husband, Wayne Wilson. She will be truly missed by her loving family and her many friends.
She is survived by her children, Dea (Wayne) Wilson of Gautier, Miss., Denise (Dave) Gilliam of Hockey, Texas, and Larry Smith of Pascagoula; one brother, Lloyd Stewart of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren: Bradley (Carol) Smith of Houston, Texas, Brian (Debbie) Smith, of Houston, Texas, James Roush of Hockey, Texas, Glenn Gilliam of Hockey, Texas, Chase and Nicole Wilson of Gautier; other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be this afternoon from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Gautier, with the funeral service following at 3 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.
GATLIN
Judith Iona Gatlin, 82, of Franklin Creek, died Monday, Dec. 7, 2004. Mrs. Gatlin was a native of Jackson County, born
on March 28, 1922. She retired from the U.S. Bureau of Fish and Wildlife, and was also a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie R. and Rebecca Clark; husband, R.C. Gatlin; and two brothers, Leslie Allen and Hermus Ray Clark.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Rita Jo (Bill) Leinweber of Spokane, Wash., and Donna Faye (Thomas Owen) Davis of Corbin, Ky.; three brothers, William Rufus Clark and George Elmer Clark, both of Forts Lake, Miss., and Robert Mitchell Clark, of Coos Bay, Ore.; two sisters, Fern Alice Pocase of Mobile, Ala., and Rebecca Lee Bishop of Forts Lake; and four grandchildren, Laura, Todd, Leslie and Andrew Davis.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004, at Holder-Wells Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Tim Cauley officiating. Burial will at the W.R. Clark Memorial cemetery in Forts Lake, Miss.

MABRY
On Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004, the heartbeat of our family went to sleep and woke up in the arms of Jesus. Barbara Parkinson Mabry was born
in Cruger, Miss., on Feb. 8, 1920. She then lived in Mathiston before moving to Kreole, where she met and married
her lifelong love. Mrs. Mabry was a member of Kreole Avenue Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Jennielee Parkinson.
She is survived and will be keenly missed by her husband of 58 years, Pete Mabry of Kreole; sons, Tommy Burnett (Kay) Mabry of Lucedale and Johnny (Ann) Mabry of Agricola; daughters, Rebecca Lee Rowley of Kreole and Susie Dutton of Escatawpa; beloved niece, Joann Breland; sister, Rebecca Almond of Big Point; grandchildren, Thomas (Vicky) Cox, Tammy (Steve) Switzer, Penny (Ferrell) White, Melanie Stewart, Christina (Chris) Beauchamp, Michael (Alisha) Holloman, Lisa (Dwight) Ray, Travis Mabry, Jason and Jennie Mae Breland, Joanna and Jacob Dutton; 17 great-grandchildren; and many, many friends. She was a devoted wife and mother who lived for her husband, her children and her grandchildren. Heaven's gain is our endless loss.

NEALY
Mr. Fredrick Jessie Nealy, 75, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Monday, Dec. 6, 2004. He was born
Dec. 30, 1928, in Homer, La. He was a graduate of Homer High School, Class of 1946. Mr. Nealy proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1946 to 1949. In 1949, he worked at International Paper Co. until moving to Empire, La., as manager of Multivita Corp. and later to Baton Rouge, as president of Spudway Oil Co. Inc. until early 1963.
He moved to Pascagoula in 1963, and started his flying career as a "commercial fish spotter" for several menhaden companies until 1995. Returning to Pascagoula in 1995, he flew as a corporate pilot for Pritchard Law Firm until retiring in 2003. He was a former member of East Moss Point Baptist Church, where he served as deacon and teacher. Mr. Nealy was presently a member of First Baptist Church of Pascagoula and a lifetime member of the Pascagoula American Legion Post 160.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Angie Deloris DeAngelo of Pascagoula; brothers, Dr. Wrendall (Genevieve) Nealy of Baton Rouge, La., and Durell (Addie) Nealy of Bay City, Texas; sisters, Freda King and Kathryn Tate, both of Baton Rouge, La.; numerous nephews and nieces and special flying buddy, Tommy Smith -- his "wing man."
Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004, at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. The funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with Dr. Rex Yancey and the Rev. Dennis Ray Smith officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to First Baptist Church of Pascagoula in his honor.
Interment will be at Union cemetery in Moss Point.

PARSLEY
Ina B. Parsley, age 94, a native of Lucedale, Miss., and resident of Pascagoula, Miss., for many years, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004. Ms. Parsley was a longtime active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pascagoula and was a devoted mother and grandmother, who was loved by all who knew her.
Ms. Parsley was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Mr. Lowney T. Parsley; her parents, James Leroy and Cora Alice Stringer Beavers; a great-granddaughter, Carrie Elizabeth Germany; as well as her numerous brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her sons, James T. (Jerolyn) Parsley of Moss Point and Ralph E. (Robyn) Parsley of Pascagoula; four grandchildren, Sean Patrick Parsley, Heather Elsie (Paul) Germany, Larissa Parsley and Jeremy E. Parsley; two great-grandchildren, Taylor Elsie Parsley and Jacob Nathan Germany; other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be this evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, at the funeral home chapel. There will be a one-hour visitation prior to service.
Interment will be in Greenwood cemetery, Pascagoula.
CRANE
Effie Marie Utley Crane, 81, of Moss Point, Miss., died Dec. 6, 2004, in Biloxi, Miss. She was born
Nov. 19, 1923, in Corinth, Miss.
Mrs. Crane was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Preston Crane; daughter, Sandra Sandy Crane; and brothers, James Utley and Bill Utley.
Survivors include three loving daughters, Shirley (Ron) Holland of Gautier, Miss., Linda (Bill) Ray of Escatawpa, Miss., and Alice (Fred) Holifield of Gautier; sisters, Irene Burns of Mobile, Ala., Agnes Carlisle of Corinth, Miss., and Ruth Gibbs of Austin, Texas; brother, Leon Utley of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Cherie Ward, Shawn Hunt, Amanda Lang, Jennifer Ray and Amy Sharp; great-grandchildren, Tyler Ward, Morgan Ward, Savannah Hunt, Sarah Hunt and Anabelle Lang; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at Jackson County Funeral Services in Escatawpa.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004, at the Chapel of Jackson County Funeral Services with the Rev. James V. Miller officiating.
Burial will be in Serene Memorial Gardens in Escatawpa, Miss.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Crane's grandson and sons-in-law.

MATHEWS
Mrs. Bessie Mae Brown Mathews, a native of Hurley, Miss., and a resident of Mobile, Ala., died on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2004, at the family residence.
She is survived by her children, Jimmy Brown, Kenneth Brown, Beverly Kennedy and Bruce L. Brown, all of Mobile, Ala.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at noon Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004, at the chapel of Pine Crest Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004.
Interment will be in Coleman cemetery in Hurley, Miss.
