Gary Anson, 50, of Vancleave, MS died Saturday, September 29, 2007 in Vancleave.
Moving from the Florida Keys, Gary has been a resident of the Gulf Coast for the past five years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam conflict.
Gary is survived by his wife, Mary Anson of Vancleave, mother, Roberta Mordhorst of Sardis, TN, sisters, Barbara Jean Schuberg of Dandbridge, TN, Marie Saunders of Missouri, TX, brothers, Mike Anson of Key West, FL, Andy Anson of Sardis, TN.
Private services will be held. Arrangements made by Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes, Howard Avenue, Biloxi.

William Wood Abbott, III
born on April 1, 1985

Mr. William Wood Abbott, III, 21, of Gulfport, MS, died March 20, 2007, in Ocean Springs, MS.
Mr. Abbott was a native of Flowood, MS and had been a longtime resident of the coast. He was a Catholic and attended St. Stanislus Academy. He enjoyed helping his father rebuild his home and the outdoors, especially fishing, and working on his car. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend.
Mr. Abbott is survived by his parents, William Wood Abbott, Jr. and Risa S. Abbott; grandmother, Helen Abbott of Little Rock Arkansas; two sisters, Dawn Abbott and Katie Abbott; one nephew Jacob; two nieces, Talie and Olivia; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, especially Jeremy Ladner. He will always be greatly loved and deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 25, 2007, at 4 p.m. at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi where friends may visit one hour before service time.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Coastal Conservation Association of Mississippi, 109 South 27th Ave., Suite 219, Hattiesburg, MS 39401.

Owen G. Allen

Mr. Owen G. Allen, age 89, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Tuesday, February 22, 2005, in Ocean Springs.
Mr. Allen was a native of Kilbourne, LA., and a resident of Ocean Springs for the past 17 years. He retired from the US Air Force after 27 years of service as a Chief Warrant Officer retiring at Keesler Air Force Base. He was a veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict. Mr. Allen was a member of the Masonic Lodge #120 in Biloxi. He was also a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Ocean Springs.
Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.T. Allen, three brothers, Joe Allen, Dewey Allen, and Theodore Allen, and one sister, Ida Weaver.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Mrs. Lillian Bea Allen of Ocean Springs, a daughter Frances Sue White and husband, John E. White of Ocean Springs, a son, Owen Robert Allen and wife Martha, of Pearl River, LA., sister, Mildred House of Lake Providence, LA., five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Thursday, February 24, 2005, from 6-9 PM, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Friday, February 25, 2005, there will be a 2 PM church service at St. Paul United Methodist Church on Porter Street in Ocean Springs, where friends may call from 1-2 PM. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park with full military honors.
The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Alva Paul Abshire
born on August 30, 1922

Mr. Alva P. Abshire, 84, of Biloxi, died Thursday, January 11, 2007.
Mr. Abshire was a life long resident of the Gulf Coast and a retired accountant at Keesler AFB. He was also a member of the Fleur De Lise Society, Knights of Columbus, an avid Bouray player, coin collector, fisherman, and a cook on the Southern Belle for 15 years . His first love was his family.
Mr. Abshire was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Merle Lechner Abshire; his parents, Joseph and Nola Abshire, and two brothers, Harold and Nutsy Abshire.
He is survived by his daughter, Suzette Milhas of Gulfport; a son, Paul Abshire and his wife, Tina, of Saucier; a sister, Verda Skrmetta and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 15, 2007, from 5 until 7 pm at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, Biloxi. Graveside services will be Tuesday at 1:30 pm in Biloxi National cemetery.

Shirley Adams

Mrs. Shirley M. Adams, 79, died on Monday, December 11, 2006 in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Mrs. Adams was born icon in Violet, Louisiana and was a longtime resident of Biloxi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Adams, Sr.; her parents, Oray Savoy and Mary Guillotte Savoy and a grandson, Jessie Entrekin, Jr.
Survivors incude three daughters, Pamela Cooper, Cheryl Battise and Mary Clark; five sons, Mike Adams, Sr. (Karen), George Adams, Jr (Denise), Dennis Adams, Sr. (Rita), Russell Adams (Pam), and Tyrone Adams; one sister Audrey Bordlon; sister-in-law Elnoir Pauli; three bothers, Benny Savoie (Leona), Russell Savoie and Curtis Savoie, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2006 at the Blessed Seelos Catholic Church in Biloxi, Mississippi. Burial to follow at Biloxi National cemetery.
The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.

Gillis Angeron, Sr.

Mr. Gillis J. "Pappy" Angeron, Sr., 79, of Biloxi, MS, died Friday, June 2, 2006, in Biloxi.
Mr. Angeron was a native of Morgan City, LA and had been a coast resident for the past 34 years. He retired from Live Oak Treatment Center as a staff member after 15 years of service. He was a U. S. Navy Corpsman during WW II, attached to the 1st Marine Division in the South Pacific.
Mr. Angeron was preceded in death by his first wife, Nelda Ruth Angeron. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy M. Angeron of Biloxi; two daughters, Barbara E. Ferguson of Biloxi, and Gay Nell Angeron of Morgan City, LA; two step-daughters, Sandy Trotter of Memphis, TN, and Billie Kay Livingston of Marietta, Ohio; three sons, Gillis J. Angeron, Jr. of Biloxi, Stephen K. Angeron of Folsom, LA, and Phillip C. Angeron of Huntington, WV; one brother, Ward Angeron of Morgan City, LA; fifteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, June 5, 2006, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Biloxi National cemetery.

Rita Arceneaux

Mrs. Rita Arceneaux, 88, of Biloxi, MS, died Thursday, May 4, 2006, in Gautier.
Mrs. Arceneaux was a native of Abbeville, LA and had been a resident of the coast for the past 70 years. She was retired from Southern Shell/Weems Seafood Factory and a member of St. Marys Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Arceneaux; a son, Sherril "Bee" Arceneaux; her paretns, Adonis and Avilda Boutte', and two brothers, Enole Boutte' and Etienne Boutte'.
Survivors include her daughter, Fay Waltman and her husband, Rayford, of Biloxi; one sister, Edith Sonnier, of Abbeville, LA; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 7, 2006, from 5 until 10 p.m. at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. Rosary will be recited at 7 p. m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Marys Catholic Church in Woolmarket where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi City cemetery.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Odessey Hospice Health Care and River Chase Village.

Alphonse Albert Anseman, Jr.

Mr. Alphonse Albert Anseman, Jr., 74, of Biloxi, MS died Sunday, February 6, 2005, In Ocean Springs
Mr. Anseman was born icon in New Orleans and had been a longtime resident of the coast. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D'Iberville and a U. S. Air Force Veteran of Vietnam. Mr. Anseman was a member of North Bay VFW and a charter member of the D'Iberville Moose Lodge. He was a school bus driver and formerly worked in the transportation department of Treasure Bay Casino. He was the great grandson of Victor Anseman, the founder of New Orleans' City Park.
Mr. Anseman was preceded in death by his parents, Alphonse Anseman, Sr. and Marjorie Fedell Anseman and a brother, Charles Anseman.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Blessey Anseman of Biloxi; three daughters, Norma Gomez and Jill Stanley both of Biloxi and Patricia Winkler of San Antonio, Texas; two sons, Alphonse Anseman, III and John Anseman both of Biloxi; three sisters, Marie Smith, Louise Connor and Carol Marciante all of Metairie, LA; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 10, 2005, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi with recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. Anthony of Padula Catholic Church in New Orleans, LA. Burial will follow in St. Louis #3 cemetery.

Mildred Boudreaux Atchison
born on December 22, 1926

Mrs. Mildred Boudreaux Atchison, 79, of Biloxi, MS, died Friday, January 6, 2006, in Ocean Springs.
Mrs. Atchison was a native of New Iberia, LA and had been a longtime resident of Biloxi. She was a cafeteria worker with Nicholls Elementary School for many years and a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church.
Mrs. Atchison was preceded in death by her parents, Edier and Noida Landry Boudreaux, and a brother, Clifton Boudreaux. Survivors include two sons, Louie Milton Atchison of Biloxi and Wayne Joseph Atchison, of Jackson, AL; one sister, Clothilde Malagarie, of Biloxi; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visitation is Monday, January 9, 2006, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. Funeral services will be Tuesday in the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Biloxi City cemetery.
