William W. Allred, 72, of Metairie, LA passed away Thursday March 24, 2005.
Mr. Allred was a member of the American Legion and Loyal Order of the Moose. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, U.S. Border Patrolman, and a Merchant Marine. He also spoke 5 languages, was an artist, writer, and a pilot.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Allred, three daughters, Erin Amanda Allred of New Orleans, LA, Amber Celeste Ford of Hattiesburg, MS, and Katherine E. Cox of Laurinburg, NC, one son, William W. Allred, III of Pensacola, FL., three brothers, Michael Allred and Sam Allred both of Crystal Springs, MS and Patrick Allred of Farmerville, LA, and four grandchildren. Mr. Allred is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Nina Allred.
Visitation will be held on Thursday March 31, 2005 from 10 am until 12 noon, with Services at 12 noon, all held at the Howard Ave. Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Biloxi, MS. Procession will follow to Biloxi National cemetery in Biloxi, MS.

Josephine Tanner Atwell

Mrs. Josephine Tanner Atwell, age 95, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2008, in Ocean Springs.
Mrs. Atwell was born icon in George County and was a resident of Jackson County since 1931. She was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in the Fort Bayou Community since 1939.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Atwell, daughter, Geraldine Williams, son, Darnell Atwell, parents, Alfred "Nep" and Emma Prichard Tanner, fifteen brothers and sisters, and two granddaughters.
Survivors include her daughter, Emma Jo (Doug) Parker of Ocean Springs, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Saturday, May 17, 2008, from 6-9 PM, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Sunday, May 18, 2008, there will be a 1:30 PM chapel service in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church cemetery.

Walter Anderson
born on May 10, 1926

Walter Anderson a resident of D'Iberville, MS passed away in Mobile, AL on February 7, 2008, after a long illness.
Walter was born icon in Idaho Falls, ID on May 10, 1926. Walter served in the United States Navy during WW II from Nov. 1943 to Aug. 1946. He served in the Pacific Theater on the Cape Esperance Escort Carrier CVE88. After the Navy, Walter went to work for The Western Pacific Railroad in Portola, CA as a Conductor. Continued his career with the railroad when Western Pacific merged with Union Pacific Railroad. He retired in 1988 after 38 years of service. Throughout his life, Walter enjoyed traveling in Europe and the United States, as well as working crossword and jigsaw puzzles, reading and fishing. Walter was an active member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and a member of The Knights of Columbus.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Andrew Anderson and Helen Jane Altmeyer Anderson of Idaho Falls, ID and his son, Eric Thomas Anderson of Portola, CA.
Walter is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Moon Anderson, a native of the Gulf Coast. His daughter, Patricia Lynn Elder of Reno, NV and three step children, Veronica A. Vance and husband, Jay Vance of Paradise Valley, AZ, Ralph A. Mattos and wife Maryshelle Camcam of Biloxi, MS and David Mattos of Sacramento, CA.
He is survived by three sisters, Jeanne Larsen and husband, John of Ucon, ID, Shirley McBride, Idaho Falls, ID, Phila Sue Dunlap of Jackson, WY; brother-in-law, Lloyd T. Moon and wife Barbara and sister-in-law, Lynn Moon all of Biloxi, MS; grandchildren, W. Mario Mattos and A.J. Mattos of Biloxi, Ralph A. Mattos, III, Luis Muniz and Vanessa Lucero of CA; three great-grandchildren, Samantha Vance of AZ, Cruzitto Reyes and Eliseanna Reyes both of Sacramento, CA and numerous nieces and nephews in Biloxi, ID and WY.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the: Retired Priest Home Building Fund, c/o Our Lady of Fatima Church, 2090 Pass Rd, Biloxi, MS, 39531 or The Sacred Heart Center, c/o Nativity BVM Catholic Church, 870 Howard Ave., Biloxi, MS, 39530.
All friends and family are asked to attend a memorial service to celebrate Walter's life to be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at 12:00 pm at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm in Biloxi City cemetery.
Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Ave., Biloxi, is in charge of arrangements.

Shelia Rhea Anderson Jones

Mrs. Shelia R. Jones, 60, of Ocean Springs, MS, formerly of Purvis, MS, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2007, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Jones had been a resident of the MS Gulf coast for the past 37 years. She retired from Keesler AFB Civil Service as an accountant after 25 years of employment. She was known for her gift of giving and demonstrated this most often by baking and giving many cookies and cakes. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and will be deeply missed by a host of adoring friends.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Campbell Anderson, and father, R. L. Anderson; grandparents, Gertie and Bruce Campbell and Rob and Lona Anderson, all of Purvis, MS.
She is survived by her husband, Lamar "Sonny" Jones; step-son, Bobby Jones and grandson, Ronnie Jones, all of Ocean Springs; five sisters, Paulette Boleware and Janet Wilson of Seminary, MS, Renee' Pearce, Regina Anderson and Audrey Batton of Purvis, MS; six brothers, Lowell Anderson, Liddell Anderson and Richard Anderson of Purvis, MS, Phillip Anderson and Hoyt Anderson of Seminary, MS, and Tim Anderson of Columbus, MS; six nieces; fourteen nephews; six great nieces; three great nephews, and one great great nephew
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2007, at 11:30 a.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home Chapel in Ocean Springs where friends may visit from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park.

Ross Winchell Allen

Ross Winchell Allen, age 64, of Ocean Springs, died Tuesday, September 4, 2007 in Miami, FL. He was born icon May 2, 1943 in Leavenworth, Indiana.
Ross served as a member of the Military Police in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea and St. Louis, MO. He received a bachelor degree from the University of Missouri where he was a member of Sigma Delta Pi Fraternity. He retired from McDonald-Douglas-Boeing after thirty years of service and retired to the Gulf Coast 1n 1999. Ross was a lifetime member of the VFW and was a member of the Moose Lodge in D'Iberville.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Eula May Satterfield, Bob Allen, Neville Allen, Jim Allen; and a step-daughter, Donna Nevills.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Shank Allen of Ocean Springs; two sons, Scott Allen and wife, Claudia of Miami, FL, Lonny Allen and wife Kim, and their children Jenna, Zachary, Jase, and Gavin Allen, all of Homestead, FL; a step-daughter, Dianne Zember and her children, Tanisha and Tina Zember, all of Ocean Springs; granddaughter, LaShay Nevills of Memphis, TN; a great grandson, Elijah Zember; two brothers Charles Allen and Ernest Allen and five sisters, Violet England, Beatrice McCormick, Wanda McKinley, Charlotte Denton, Patricia Brace, all of Indiana.
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 9, 2007 from 6 until 9:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road in Gulfport. The funeral service will be Monday, September 10, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens in Long Beach.

George Eric Ashbaugh
born on July 8, 1947

Mr. George Ashbaugh, 59, of Biloxi died unexpectedly Wednesday, May 16, 2007, in Biloxi.
Mr. Ashbaugh was born icon in Paris, France, and has been a resident of the Coast for 14 years.
He retired from the USAF in 1995 after 24 years of service, and was a lifelong free lance artist and sculptor.
He attended the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris, France, and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
He was a member of the Biloxi Yacht Club, the Gulf Coast Knights of the Vine Wine Society, and the DAV. He was also a supporter of the Gulf Coast Opera and Coast Performing Arts, and was a Duke in the Krewe of Hera in 2003. He was on the winning team for the National VICA College Quiz Bowl in 1998.
He is preceded in death by his father, James W. Ashbaugh.
George is survived by his wife, Ann Marie Ashbaugh, of Biloxi; two daughters, Anita Ashbaugh of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Aimee Sullivan of Savannah, Georgia; his mother, Gilberte Ashbaugh, of Moreno Valley, California; and one sister, Christine Ashbaugh, of Paris, France.
Private services will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the Biloxi National cemetery.
Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes, Biloxi, is in charge of arrangements.

Shelby Jean Alligood

Shelby Jean Alligood, 48, of Gulfport died Wednesday, February 23, 2005 in Gulfport. She was born icon in Mitchell County, Georgia and had been a resident of Gulfport for 12 years. She was a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Katrina Alligood of Warsaw, Ohio; four sisters, Nancy Monk of Gulfport, Betty Penton of Picayune, Pat Kent of Port Allen LA, and Joann Fremon of Carlisle, PA; two brothers, Kenneth Alligood of Picayune and Harry Alligood of Chamblee, GA; three grandchildren, Samantha Burger, Bridgett Burger, and Dillon Prentice.
The funeral service will be Sunday Feb. 27, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport where friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. until the service.
The family prefers memorials to Broadmoor Baptist Church, 1902 Kelly Avenue, Gulfport, MS 39501.

Donald Aboud

Mr. Donald Aboud, 57, died Tuesday, November 7, 2006 in Biloxi. He was born icon in Oakland, California and has been a resident of the coast since 1991 . He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and he served in Vietnam . Mr. Aboud was a dealer with the Island View Casino and formerly with the President Casino.
He is survived by his parents Robert and Ruth Aboud; wife Emma Aboud ; a daughter Jennifer Workman; five sons Ron Lucich, Keith Lucich, David Workman, Chris Aboud , and David Aboud ; one sister Susan Aboud; and twelve grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 10 a.m. where friends may visit one hour prior to services. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
