Mariea G. Leard, 82, of Gautier, Miss., passed away March 30, 2007, in Pascagoula, Miss. She was born icon June 6, 1924, in Mobile, Ala.
Ms. Leard leaves loving memories to her son, George C. (Kitty) Hanson; her grandchildren, George C. (Mashay) Hanson, Jr., Elizabeth H. (Tony) Jenne and Leigh M. Miller; her eight great-grandchildren; her brother, Jimmy (Diane) Prassenos; and sisters-in-law, Rosie Prassenos and Dorothy Baxter; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ms. Leard was preceded in death by her first husband, Lee Marion Hanson; her second husband, Warren F. Leard; and her parents, George and Evelyn Prassenos.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 1, 2007, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. with a funeral service starting at 3 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Serene Memorial Gardens of Escatawpa, Miss. Rev. Eugene Eubanks officiating.

PUFFENBARGER
Marshall "Puff" B. Puffenbarger III, age 58 of Pascagoula, Miss. died Monday March 26, 2007, in a local hospital. born icon July 8, 1948, in Westerly, WV, to the late Marshall and Zenia A. Beck Puffenbarger, he had been a resident of Pascagoula since 1988. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1967 until his retirement in 1989. He served four tours of duty during the Vietnam War. Following retirement, he went to work for Northrop Grumman Ship Systems in Pascagoula, where he worked as a senior logistics analyst until his death.
Among his survivors are his wife of 30 years Bonnie Puffenbarger of Pascagoula; three sons David Thompson and his wife Farrah of Mobile, Ala., Michael Puffenbarger of Cleveland, Ohio, Jeffery Puffenbarger and his wife Rae of Chicago, Ill.; a daughter Victoria Lynn of Cleveland; a brother Charles Beck of Mobile; a sister Judy Kuralt of Cleveland; four grandchildren, and host of wonderful friends.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in Biloxi National cemetery under the auspices of the U.S. Navy. Services are under the direction of O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home of Pascagoula.

RUSHING
Mrs. Ruby Albritton Rushing, 90, of Mobile, Ala., died Friday, March 30, 2007, at he home.
Mrs. Rushing was a native of Atmore, Ala., but had been a resident of Mobile for the past six years and was a former resident of Pascagoula, Miss., and she attended the Sage Avenue Baptist Church.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, Mr. Richard Rushing, three sisters, Agnes Hollingsworth, Gwendolyn Irvin and Gladys Caraway, a granddaughter, Lori Foy, and a great granddaughter, Jennifer Odom.
She is survived by two sons, Douglas E. Odom (Carolyn) of Center, Texas, and Tony Odom (Carolyn) of Mobile; two step sons, Randy Rushing (Debbie) of Hurley, Miss., and Larmar Rushing of Pascagoula; a step daughter, Glenda Cox (Whitley) of Tennessee; a brother, Marion H. Albritton of Atmore; three sisters, Jean McGhee of Atmore, Edna Raines of Pensacola, Fla., and Evon Kertley of Virginia; seven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Petty Eastside Chapel with Rev. Carolyn Odom officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch cemetery with Petty Eastside Chapel directing.
Pallbearers will be Scoyy Odom, John Cormier, Darren Odom, Authur Ray McKenzie, Jim Carraway and Ronnie Albritton.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. until the funeral begins Monday.

ALLEN
Mrs. Murtis Nell Giles Allen, 70, of Vancleave, Miss., passed away in her home Saturday, July 1, 2006 while surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. with a service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 5 at Heritage Funeral Home and burial at Serene Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home, which is locally owned and operated.

MEEKS
Elizabeth Ann Meeks, 68, a former resident of Pascagoula, Miss. and Gautier, Miss. died Monday, March 26, 2007 at Dugan Memorial Home, West Point, Miss. Elizabeth Ann Meeks was born icon June 17, 1938 in West Point to the late Elsie Arnold and Claude Fulgham. Mrs. Meeks was a Elementary School Teacher for 30 years in the Pascagoula School District. She was a member of the Methodist church, after Hurricane Katrina she returned to live in West Point. Her brothers, Claude Fulgham and Charles Fulgham, also predeceased Elizabeth Ann Meeks.
Survivors include sister, Catherine Fulgham Watson of Strong, Miss. her niece Beth Watson Pruitt (Chuck) of Aberdeen, Miss. dear friend and caregiver Emmie Fulgham of West Point, several nieces including Marilyn Campbell, Lydia Fondren, Sandra Edens, and one nephew Wheeler "Chip" Watson.
Memorials may be made to Strong United Methodist Church, c/o Lynn Teffeteller, P. O. Box 193, Aberdeen, MS 39730.
Funeral services will be held at a later date in a private memorial service for family and friends. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.

RINKS
James Marion Rinks, age 56, of Gautier, Miss. passed away, March 4, 2007 in Riverside County, Calif.
Mr. Rinks was born icon in Pascagoula, Miss. on Jan. 13, 1951 to the late J.B. and Kathleen Rinks. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Gautier. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Billy Harold Rinks.
He is survived by one brother Curtis Rinks and two sisters Bobbie Thornton and Brenda Capius, Nephews Mark, Jason, Scott, and Brent; Nieces Teresa, Michelle, Tonya and Lori. He had a generous loving spirit and shared what he had with others.
Graveside memorial service will be held at Pinecrest cemetery, Gautier on Friday, March 30, 2007 at 2 p. m. with Rev. Jim Stanhope, Pastor of Parkway Baptist Church Pascagoula, officiating.

STOGNER
Mary Aline Rawls Stogner, 76, of Bogalusa, La died March 26, 2007 at Louisiana Heart Hospital, LaCombe, La. She was a member of Monroe Street Baptist Church, Bogalusa. She is preceded in death by her parents George Washington Rawls and Annie Elizabeth Ladner Rawls.
She is survived by her husband Rooney Stogner, Bogalusa; one daughter Glynis S. Madison, Bogalusa; two sons Lawrence Stogner of Bogalusa and George Stogner of Huntington, Texas; one brother Louis Rawls of Bogalusa; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held at Monroe Street Baptist Church, 1412 Monroe St., Bogalusa, La. today, Thursday, March 29, 2007 with Minister Billy Galloway and Minister Chad Jenkins officiating.
Interment will be at Ponemah cemetery, Bogalusa.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to: Monroe Street Baptist Children's Church.

FLECHAS
Mrs. Judy Henderson Flechas, age 64, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 27, 2007, in Wade, Miss. after a long battle with cancer. She was born icon on July 26, 1942, in Laurel, Miss. Mrs. Flechas was a member of Springhill Baptist Church and member of United Daughter's of the Confederacy. She is retired from the State of Alabama.
Mrs. Flechas is preceded in death by her father, Henry Leon Henderson.
She is survived by her mother, Ruby Henderson of Mobile, Ala.; one brother, Jim Henderson of Mobile; daughter, Ashley (Alan) Smith of Wade; three sons, Noel (Elizabeth) Grafe of Kiln, Miss.; Marshall Flechas and Matthew Flechas of Pascagoula, Miss.; grandchildren, Erika Stanford, Dustin Stanford, Jenna Brun, James Grafe, Katherine Grafe, Caroline Grafe, Cooper Grafe, Amaya Bramlett, Isabella Flechas; and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 29, 2007, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Springhill Baptist Church in Mobile.
Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. from the church with Rev. Don Wainwright and Rev. Gilbert Lundy officiating.
Interment will follow in Pine Crest cemetery on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile.
Pallbearers will be Mike Stanton, Gary Stanton, Luke Stanton, Gary Henderson, Dustin Stanford, and Greg Smith. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

HAYES
The late Millard Joseph Hayes, Jr., 46, was born icon April 13, 1960, in Chicago, Ill. to Dolores Hayes and the late Millard Hayes, Sr.
He was an avionics mechanic for Jet Blue Airlines. Mr. Hayes received his initial training in avionics when he served in the armed services (Army). He received his associates degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He was raised in Pascagoula, Miss. where he graduated in 1978 from Pascagoula High School. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Herman Glaude, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories; Wife, Rosie of Deltona, Fla.; four children, Isaiah Hayes, Aaron Hayes, April Hayes and Jerome Hayes all of Deltona. He is also survived by his beloved mother, Dolores Hayes-Ashford, Pascagoula and stepfather, Oscar Ashford, Escatawpa, Miss.; beloved grandmother, Mrs. Bernice Glaude, Pascagoula; two sisters, Cheryl Hayes-McLeod, Moss Point, Miss. and Marietta "Penny" Oden Chicago, Ill.; one brother, Roderick Ashford, Escatawpa; three brother-in-laws: William McLeod, Moss Point, Johnny Moore, Wiggins, Miss. and James Updike, Wiggins; three sister-in-laws: Carolyn Kinnard, Moss Point, Mary Moore, Pascagoula and Marilyn Moore-Turner, Hurley, Miss.; three aunts: Carol Glaude-Taite, Pascagoula, Cathy Glaude-Williams, Kenner, La. and Patricia Glaude, Hayward, Calif.; and three uncles: Herman Glaude II, Mobile, Ala., Eddie Glaude, Sr., Moss Point, and Michael England, Moss Point, and a host of other relatives.
A memorial service will be held this Saturday, March 31, 2007, at 1 p.m. at The Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 3702 Quinn Drive, Pascagoula, MS 39581 (228) 762-1837.

BACAK
On March 23, 2007, after a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer, Ronald Allen Bacak of Escatawpa, passed away at MD Anderson Hospital. With his loving family at his side, he joined his Lord and heavenly father in heaven.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Frances (Herman) Bacak.
He is also survived by his son, Ronald Bacak Jr. and his three children, Zachary, Jackson, and Zoe of Stuart, Florida; his daughters, Peggy (John) Sherman and their three children Jordan, Justin and Emily of Vancleave, Miss. and Lanette and Renee Bacak of Escatawpa, Miss.
Ronald was born icon in Norwich, Conn. to Laura and the late Louis Bacak on March 13, 1945. He is survived by four sisters, Susan Deschamps, Donna Cloutier, Joan Raymond, Rita Danieluk, of Connecticut, and his brother, Dale Bacak of Maine, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ronald was employed by Northrup Grumman for many years, and was proud to be a part of the restoration of The U.S.S. Cole.
He was a communicate of St. Joseph's Catholic Parish. He was a charter member of the Escatawpa Jaycees. He served his community as a County Election Commissioner, and was a past member of the Republican Executive Committee.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2007 with rosary being recited at 7 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa, Miss. A Celebration of Life Mass will begin at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Moss Point.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society or St. Joseph Catholic Church of Moss Point.

MARLER
Camelia Deakle Marler, age 77, of Bayou La Batre, Ala., passed away March 23, 2007 at a local Hospital. born icon Jan. 26, 1930 in Gulf Port Miss. Her loving parents were the late Jeff and Rosie (Hasting) Peyregne. Mrs. Marler was an employee of Sea Pearl Sea Products, for 16 years. Her home Church was St. Elmo Bible Church. Her faith was in the Lord Jesus Christ. Mrs. Marler was a compassionate and giving person. She would be the first to reach out and help when someone was in need. Her joy was giving to others. Camelia was preceded in death by her loving parents; her husbands, James Deakle and Raymond Marler; a brother, Jeff Peyregne Jr.; sisters, Daisy Bell Peyregne, Geneva Cagle and Myrtle Deakle.
She is survived by her children, Irby Tillman, Jr. (Louise) of Vancleave, Miss., Pamela Clayton (Lynn) of Grand Bay, Ala., and Barry Deakle (Rachael) of Bayou La Batre, Ala.; six grandchildren, Kimberly Creal (Michael), James Clayton, Angela Skelton (David) Bruce Tillman, Dustin Tillman, Brandon Deakle and Brittany Deakle; two great grandchildren, Lisa Creal and Seth Clayton Creal; two sisters, Betty Riggan and Charlotte Gillespie; and brothers, Billy Peyregne and Bennie Lee Peyregne; special friends, Brenda Seaman and Duke Ladnier; and a host of others whom she loved.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at 12 noon from the Chapel of Serenity Funeral Home. Visitation was Monday at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 11 a.m. until service time. Interment will take place in Oddfellow cemetery in Bayou La Batre.

Kimball
Mrs. Connie Kimball, 95, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2007, at The Gardens assisted living in Ocean Springs, Miss.
Mrs. Kimball was born icon in Baird, Miss. on October 16, 1911. She graduated high school in Morehead, Miss., with a degree in bookkeeping, and worked in that capacity until she retired. For a five year period, she managed Indianola Hardware store for her brother while he was in the service during WWII. She also had various other jobs in her lifetime, one of which was a taxidermy assistant.
She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Gautier.
Connie, better known as "Aunt Connie" to all, is preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Jerry Kimball of Greenwood, Miss., her parents Catherine and Sam Bianca of Indianola, Miss., her brother, Carmello P. Bianca, her sisters, Catherine Geraci and Virginia Bianca, all of Indianola, Miss., her sister, Marie Bianca Hirsch of Greenville, Miss. She is survived by her nieces, Dr. Catherine P. Hirsch of Gautier, Miss., and Mrs. Terry Hirsch-Smith and her husband, James R. Smith of Oklahoma City, Okla.
Visitation will be at Heritage Funeral Home, Hwy. 63, in Moss Point, Miss., on Monday, March 26, 2007, from 6 to 7 p.m. with funeral services immediately following in the chapel until 8 p.m.
Graveside services will be in Greenville, Miss. at the Greenville city cemetery on Tuesday March 27 at 2 p.m.
Heritage Funeral Home of Escatawpa, Miss., locally owned and operated, is charge of arrangements.

Jessica Marie Fineburg, was born icon Jan. 10, 1985, and went home to be with the Lord on March 22, 2007.
Jessica is survived by her adored son, Luke Alexander and her beloved parents, Steve and Jane Fineburg of Lucedale; two brothers, Paul (Amy Vise) Fineburg of Lucedale, and Ben (Amy Cheek) Fineburg of Trussville, Ala.; three nephews, Will, Micah, and Matthew; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
There will be a private funeral service at Martin Bluff Baptist Church followed by graveside service in Agricola, Miss.
