Schmitz and Ewing
Michele Schmitz and Tim Ewing were married
May 30, 2003, at Canyon Ferry Mansion in Townsend. The Rev. Charles Walker officiated. A reception followed at the Colonial Hotel Red Lion in Helena.
Maid of honor was Jackie Pierson. Bridesmaids were Teresa Leary and Danielle Reinker.
Best man was Rob Knadsvig. Groomsmen were Ryan Hgelmspad and Craig Lemons.
Michele is the daughter of Doug and Jean Schmitz of Jefferson City. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1997 and the University of North Dakota in Grand Rapids, N.D., in 2001, with a degree in aviation management. Michele is a flight instructor employed by the University of North Dakota in Mesa, Ariz.
Tim is the son of Dale Lemons and Debbie Ewing of Buxton, N.D. He graduated in 2003 from Collins College of Computer Animation. He is employed at Arizona Art Supply.
The couple plans to honeymoon in New York in October.
They live in Mesa.
Aimee Ameline and Michael Platt were married
Aug. 25, 2001, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Choteau. The Rev. Bob Noonan officiated the ceremony. A reception followed at the Choteau Pavilion.
Sharman Ameline was the maid of honor. Kim Zier, Becky Berg and FaLeana Wech were the bridesmaids. Samantha Brewer was the flower girl.
The best men were John Paul Stowell and Brian Verewolf. Aaron Hanson and Shad Oliver were the groomsmen. Draven Stowell was the ring bearer, and Rob Hankins, Troy Walkenhorst and Josh Fritz served as the ushers. Music was provided by Ken Platt, vocals and guitar, and Marlene Konen, organist.
Aimee is the daughter of Woody and Julie Ameline of Choteau. She graduated from Choteau High School in 1991 and from Montana State University in 1995. She earned her DDS degree from the University of Minnesota Dental School in 2000. Aimee is a dentist in Conrad.
Michael is the son of Ken Platt of Helena, and Darlene Harris of Seattle. He attended Helena High School, graduating in 1992. He graduated from Montana State University earning a degree in criminal justice in 1997. He is employed at Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Great Falls.
The couple honeymooned at Puerto Vallerta, Mexico.
They live in Conrad.
Laura Kathleen Niklas and Michael Charles Barrett were married
July 14, 2001, in Helena at the Mountain Meadow Inn.
Sarah Twohy was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kerry Connole, Pam Niklas and Tammy Lindgren. Ashley Lindgren was flower girl, and Marcus and David Lindgren were ring bearers. Scott Bodle was best man. Groomsmen were Matt Womack, Brent Beebe and Jason Irvin.
Laura is the daughter of David and Colleen Niklas of Helena. Michael is the son of Donna and Daryl Brassfield of Townsend, and Mike and Ruth Barrett of Rapid City, S.D.
The couple honeymooned in Las Vegas.
They live in Helena.
Lois Ann Anderson of Helena and Michael M. Anderson of Havre, and Charles E. 'Chic' and Dorothy A. Barnett of Helena announce the engagement of their children, Jessica Morgan Anderson and Roger Charles Barnett.
Jessica and Roger both are habilitation aids employed at West Mont.
A Dec. 21, 2001, wedding is planned.
Christine Wike and Les Mignery announce their engagement and upcoming Sept. 7, 2002, wedding.
Christine is the daughter of David and Carol Wike of Boise, Idaho. She is a physical therapist employed at Manger-Harrington Physical Therapy.
Les is the son of Ed and Barb Mignery of Sundance, Wyo. He is an exercise specialist at St. Peter's Hospital.
Rasmussen and Lange
Karla Rasmussen and David Lange were married
Oct. 19, 2001, on the Carnival Cruise Ship "Ecstasy" in Port of Los Angeles. Guests joined the couple on a three-day cruise to Ensenada, Mexico.
The maid of honor was Tracy Rasmussen. Brian Lange was the best man.
Karla is the daughter of Michael and Delrene Rasmussen of Montana City. She is a 1987 Helena High School graduate. In October 2000, she graduated from DeVry Institute of Technology in Phoenix. Karla is employed by Advanced Digital Information Corporation in Ithaca, N.Y.
David is the son of Brian and Christine Lange of Warren, Mich. A 1990 Warren Woods High School graduate, David graduated from DeVry Institute of Technology in October 2000. He is employed at Wild Apples Custom Woodworking.
The couple lives in Cortland, N.Y.
Gossard-Boggio and Szpilka
Christine Gossard-Boggio and Anthony Szpilka were married
June 1, 2002, at the Cathedral of St. Helena.
The maid of honor was Erin Pitcovich. The bridesmaids were Kendra Dresback and Rebecca Boggio.
The best man was Phil Rose and the groomsmen were Frank Cardiello and Jonathan Boggio.
Christine is the daughter of James and Ruth Boggio of Helena, and the late Charles M. Gossard. A 1998 graduate of Carroll College, Christine is pursing her doctorate degree in engineering at the University of Oklahoma and is slated to graduate in 2003.
Tony is the son of the late Anthony and Mary Anne Szpilka. He is a professor at Carroll College.
The couple honeymooned in Europe.
Barnes and Bushnell
Tamara Barnes and Brent Bushnell were married
Nov. 2, 2001, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Helena.
Dru Ann Wagner was the matron of honor. Tara and Danette Barnes were the bridesmaids. Paul Bushnell was the best man, and the groom's attendants were Kendra and Jake Bushnell, and Shana Bushnell.
The couple honeymooned with their children in Florida.
They live in Helena.
Platts and Reighard
Valerie Christina Platts and Matthew John Reighard were married
April 27, 2002, at the Mountain Meadow Inn.
Charity Mathews was the matron of honor. Allison Judge, MacKenzie Buus and Jennifer Kearl were the bridesmaids. The flower girl was Camilla Mathews.
Matthew Brumfield was the best man. The groomsmen were Ryan Clampitt, Cory Fleece and Nolan Silvan.
Valerie is the daughter of Cindy and Larry Platts of Helena. She graduated from Helena High School in 2000. Valerie is a student at the State University of New York studying elementary education.
Matthew is the son of Connie and John Reighard of Helena. A 2000 Capital High School graduate, Matthew is serving in the U.S. Army with the 10th Mountain Division.
The couple will live at Fort Drum, N.Y.
