Bolton - Jessica Candice Russ Jenkins, 34, of Bolton died Friday, October 1, 2010.
Jessica was born
December 20, 1975 in Columbus County, daughter of Juanita Little Wagner and the late Leo Russ.
Survivors include her mother Juanita Wagner of Bolton; husband Brian Keith Jenkins of China Grove; five daughters, Jessica Kaitlyn Russ of Winnabow, Allyson Mae Jenkins and Alexis Gail Jenkins both of China Grove, Kelsey Faith Jenkins and Chelsey Grace Jenkins both of Charlotte; and one sister Lenore Russ Popinchalk of Charlotte.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Luree Holden Chadwick
Shallotte - Mrs. Luree Holden Chadwick age 86 of Shallotte died Friday October 8, 2010 at Brunswick Community Hospital.
Mrs. Chadwick was born
in Brunswick County on June 6, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Alice Loudia Holden. She was wife of the late Ishmael Chadwick and was also preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Chadwick. She and her late husband owned and operated Chadwick’s Seafood of the Shell Point Community for many years. She was a charter member of Shell Point Baptist Church.
She is survived by three children, Toni Chadwick of the home, Michael Chadwick and Connie Wheeler both of Shallotte; six grandchildren, Robert John Chadwick, Harvey David Chadwick, Lee Warren Chadwick, Michael Scott Chadwick, Louis Inman, Marilyn Inman Stevens; four great grandchildren, Shay Chadwick, Olivia Chadwick, Oncee Chadwick, Joshua Stevens.
Funeral services will be held Monday October 11, 2010 at 1pm at Shell Point Baptist Church with Reverend John Brooks and Reverend Tommy Inman officiating. Burial will follow in the Chadwick Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be, Zendell Whaley, Jay Houston, J.B. Smith, Gene Cumbee, Billy Hewett, Johnny Ward.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Sunday evening at Shell Point Baptist Church.
Deborah Christine Worthington
Supply - Mrs. Deborah Christine Worthington, dedicated, faithful servant and prayer warrior for her Lord and savior Jesus Christ went to be with him on February 24, 2011.
Mrs. Worthington was born
in Fort Jackson South Carolina on May 5, 1949 and was the daughter of the Late Charles and Christine Arrowood Cox. She was a member of New Covenant Church of Supply, NC
She is survived by her husband Robert Worthington; two children, Paul Sexton and Tonya Butler; three brothers, Vernon Brewer, Elmer Brewer, Charles Juan Cox; three sisters, Laverne Lykins, Dixie King, Joyce McBee; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral services and burial will take place in Hamilton Ohio. A memorial service will be held at a later date at New Covenant Church on Mt. Pisgah Road, Supply with Pastor Tom Bias officiating.
Reverend Cameron Odell Blanton
Supply, NC - Reverend Cameron Odell (C.O.) Blanton age 97 of 42 Stone Chimney Road, Supply went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday October 14, 2009.
Mr. Blanton was born
in Brunswick County on October 14, 1912 and was the son of the late Purifoy M. and Minnie Long Blanton. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Berta Blanton. He was a retired Baptist Minister. He attended Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute. Mr. Blanton was a faithful member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and faithfully served the Lord with a radio ministry with WVCB Radio Station in Shallotte, NC with the program “Fifteen Minutes To Live By”. He also had a prison ministry. He and his late wife Berta, owned and operated for many years Blanton’s Thriftway Supermarket in Supply and later founded Blanton’s Tax Service. He was a charter member of the Supply Volunteer Fire Department. He also helped to organize and begin the Atlantic Telephone Membership Corporation. He also served as an Assistant Rural Mail Carrier in the Supply Community and also a Deputy with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Department. He was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his children, Gwen Clemmons and husband William A. (AW) Clemmons of Bolivia, T. Keldon Meares and wife Betty of Supply; a brother, Billy C. Blanton and wife Mary of Rock Hill, SC; a sister, Bernice Rou of Ocala, Fl.; ten grandchildren, Larry Clemmons and wife Carol of Bolivia, Sue Wescott and husband Bobby of Supply, Dale Clemmons and wife Brenda of Bolivia, Ricky Clemmons and wife Christie of Bolivia, Reverend Anthony Clemmons and wife Nancy of Bolivia, Nancy Zerrer and husband John of Raleigh, Terry Meares of Wake Forest, Janet Dove and husband Billy of Spring Hope, Brenda Baker and husband David of Zebulon, Christopher Meares of Raleigh, 22 great grandchildren, 18 great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
funeral service will be held Saturday October 17, 2009 at 11:00 am at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Reverend Anthony Clemmons and Reverend Clayton Rivenbark officiating. Burial will follow in the Manley Bennett Cemetery, Hickmans Crossroads Community.
Great Grandsons of Reverend Blanton will serve as pallbearers.
Reverend Blanton will Lie in State at Mt. Olive Baptist Church one hour prior to the funeral service.

Roy Thomas “Tommy” Chubb
Oak Island - Mr. Roy Thomas “Tommy” Chubb Sr. age 65 of Oak Island, NC died Sunday October 3, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Chubb was born
in Dalton, Georgia, December 26, 1944 and was the son of the late Wesley G. Chubb, Sr. and Pearl L. Seay Chubb.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Snyder Chubb, three sons, Roy T. Chubb, Jr., of Dorchester, S.C., Raymond T. Chubb, of Summerville, S.C., Matthew S. Chubb, Sr., of Ashtabula, Oh. Two daughters, Jelain Chubb of Austin, Tx., DeLisa Chubb of Bell, Fl., a brother, Wesley G. Chubb, Jr. of Hickory, N.C.. A Sister, Patricia Whetzel, of Monks Corner, S.C., six grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday October, 7, 2010 at 2:00 p.m., at the chapel of Peacock Newnam and White funeral service, 1411 North Howe Street, Southport, N.C. with the Reverend Mark Hooten officiating. Burial will follow in Cape Fear Memorial Park, Southport, N.C.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Dennis W. Smith
Oak Ridge, NC - Mr. Dennis Wray Smith age 65 of Oak Ridge, NC died Friday October 8, 2010 at Dosher Memorial Hospital, Southport, NC
Mr. Smith was born
in Coffee County, TN on September 5, 1945 and was the son of the late Dewey C. and Isobel Saunders Smith and was also preceded in death by a brother David Smith. He retired from Sears. Mr. Smith enjoyed playing his Guitar and entertaining.
He is survived by his wife, Lonetta Smith; a son, Dwayne Smith of Sanford; a daughter, Lesley VonSeggen of Greensboro; a brother, Andrew Smith of Lebanon, TN. And five grandchildren.
No services are planned.

Rebecca Capps
Winnabow, NC - Rebecca Barnes Capps, 65, of 1027 George II Highway Winnabow, went on to be with the Lord on Friday, May 15, 2009.
Rebecca was born
on October 16, 1943. Throughout her many blessed years Becky was a foster parent to over 700 children. She was also the Brunswick County Advocate for several years. She was greatly known and well-respected in Brunswick and New Hanover County Division of Social Services. Becky was preceded in death by her father Coy Atlas Barnes, her mother Cinne Moore Barnes, and her three brothers Roy Barnes, CJ Barnes, and Elwood Barnes.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Larry Ronald Capps, Sr.; sons Larry Ronald Capps, Jr. and wife Dee, Michael Ray Capps and significant other Angie, Shawn Matthew and wife Magan; daughters Lawanda Kay and Brittany Rebecca and several hundred foster children who were whole heartedly welcome into her home and called her “Mom”; grandchildren Christina Dawn, Brittany Marie, Calie Ann, Jennifer Lynn, Tiffany May, Mikel Dylan, Jessica LaNay, Kasey LeAnne, Holly Marie, Tucker Coy, and Shawn Matthew, Jr.; great grandchildren Aidyn Dawson; sisters Ruby Barnes Adams of Wilmington, Nancy Barnes Millis and husband Jimmy of Wilmington, and Julie Barnes Rowe and husband Larry of Richland.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday, May 18, 2009 at Trinity Worship Center in Winnabow with Reverend LeRoy Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Oleander Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be James Holleman, Jason Robbins, Frankie Harrelson, Jack Singles, Brett Harrelson, and Irvin Foster.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday, May 17, 2009 at Trinity Worship Center in Winnabow.
