Ashley Marie Wassilchalk, 25, of Wilson passed away Sunday. Her funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. The Rev. Tim McFatter will officiate.
The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway and other times at the home.
Ashley is survived by her sons, who were the love of her life, Chase Michael Territo of the home and Alexander Phillip Paul of the home; her mother, Tracy Brownfield, her aunt, Stacy Wassilchalk, and her uncle, Floyd LaRue and wife, Pam all of Pennsylvania; her gram, Geraldine Martin of Wilson and many cousins and friends.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made in Ashley’s honor for her sons, Chase and Alexander, c/o SECU, PO Box 7529, Wilson, NC 27895.
Billy Daniel Lollis, Sr.
December 29, 1937 – July 21, 2015
Billy Daniel Lollis, Sr., of Wilson passed away Tuesday. A celebration of his life will be held 7 – 9 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Billy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grand father and friend to all that knew him. He will be thought of often with loving memories and will be greatly missed. Billy resided at Avante, he loved it so much he considered it his second home.
Billy is survived by his wife, Frances Lucille Lollis of Hixon, Tennessee; his daughters, Denise Brantley of Stantonsburg and Debra Carraway and husband, Randy Todd of Stantonsburg; his granddaughters, Jennifer Brantley of Stantonsburg, Brandee Sowers and husband, David of Kinston, Kayla Jones and husband, Michael of Ayden, and Donna Lollis of Rocky Mount; his grandson, Shane Lollis of Stantonsburg and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Donald Lollis and Billy Lollis, Jr.; his parents, William and Annie Sue South Lollis, and his sister, Mary Campbell.
Stephen Noble Mitchell
June 11, 1940 – July 28, 2015
Stephen “Steve” Noble Mitchell, 75, of Middlesex passed from this life to his eternal reward on Tuesday. His funeral service will be conducted 7:30 Friday evening at the Middlesex Church of God Worship Center, Middlesex. The graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2015 in the Brantley Family Cemetery, Hwy 231, Middlesex. The Rev. Ed Toler and the Rev. Don Mitchell will officiate.
The family will receive friends 5 – 7:15 p.m. Friday evening at the Middlesex Church of God Worship Center, 5407 NC Hwy 231 South, Middlesex and other times at the home.
Steve was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to everyone he knew. He was employed with Fluor Daniel for thirty-five years until his retirement. Steve enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, church softball and serving everyone in the community. In his later years, he traveled to the Dominican Republic to build churches and serve the people.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Georgia Cone Mitchell of the home; his son, Darryl Mitchell and wife, Melody of Smithfield; his granddaughter, Shelley Higgenbottom of Galax, Virginia; his grandson, Chad Higgenbottom of Smithfield; his sister, Nellie Gray Peele of Middlesex; his sisters-in-law, Cornelia Mitchell of Kenly, Jane Snell and husband, Jimmy of Middlesex and Kay Cone of Middlesex, and his brother-in-law, Dennis Cone and wife, Jordice.
He was preceded in death by his son, Wayne Mitchell; his grandsons, Seth Douglas Mitchell and Jonathon Wayne Mitchell; his parents, Noble Guy and Maybelle Boykin Mitchell; two sisters; and three brothers.

Ryan McRae Yarbrough
July 26, 1995 – July 10, 2015
Ryan McRae Yarbrough, 19, of Wilson passed away Friday at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital. His funeral service will be conducted 5 p.m. Sunday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Maplewood Cemetery. The Rev. De Wayne Eakes will officiate.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Ryan is survived by his mother, Teresa Ford Yarbrough of the home and Frankie Mozingo; his sister, Sarah Michele Yarbrough of the home; his grandmother, Bessie Driver Ford of Lucama; his paternal grandmother, Joyce Yarbrough-Warrick of Whiteville and several aunts, uncle and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jeffery Kent Yarbrough; his grandfather, Bobby Ray Ford and his paternal grandfather, Charles Warrick.

Sarah Nichole Burrell
October 9, 1993 – August 28, 2015
Sarah Nichole Burrell, 21, of Wilson passed away Friday. Her funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. Ray Wells will officiate.
The family will receive friends 6 – 8 p.m. Monday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and at other times at the home.
Sarah is survived by her parents, James Patrick and Sandy Hawley Burrell of the home; her brother, Jared Thomas Burrell of the home; her grandmother, Sandra Perry of Wilson; her grandfather, Arthur Burrell of Goldsboro, and a special friend, one she considered as a brother, Bradley Foley of the home.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Maureen Burrell.

Juanita Eskridge Turner, 96, of Wilson passed away Friday. Her funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. The Rev. Tim McFatter will officiate.
The family will receive friends Tuesday 12 – 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Juanita is survived by her daughter, Barbara Turner of the home; her son, James M. Turner and wife, Jean of Fairfax Station, Virginia; her granddaughters, Stacey Turner and husband, Bryan of Annapolis, Maryland and Terri Smith and husband, Shannon of Marshall, Virginia; her grandson, Jamie Turner and wife, Sue of Haymarket, Virginia and her seven great-grandchildren, Tyler, Aaron, Olivia, Brooke, Sam, Davis and Leo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Marvin Turner, Sr.

Rudy Arthur Lewis
August 20, 1946 – July 23, 2015
Rudy Arthur Lewis, 68, of Bailey passed away Thursday. A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday in Bailey Town Cemetery. The Rev. Steve Edmundson will officiate.
The family will receive friends 5 – 7 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home of his daughter, Carole in Bailey.
Rudy was a loving husband and father, and had a fondness for cats. Old cars, motorcycles and car shows were a favorite of his. Rudy served his country with honor and pride during the Vietnam Era with the US Army.
Rudy is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Vickie Cone Lewis of the home; his daughter, Carole Lewis Woodruff and husband, Randall of Bailey; his sister, Debbie Lewis Bissette and husband, Gary of Bailey; his niece, Robin Lewis James of Castalia; his nephews, Chris Bissette and wife, Angela of Bailey, Tracy Bissette and wife, Marsha of Bailey, Dustin Lewis of Bailey; three great nieces; three great nephews; his sisters-in-law, Joyce Pridgen Lewis of Castalia and Josephine Lilley of Bailey; and his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Cone of Waynesville and J.C. Cone of Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Irene Tant Lewis and his brothers, Rex Lewis and Ronnie Lewis.
