Lianne D. Chetwynd, 67, of Mayfield, daughter of the late Robert S. and Irma M. Chetwynd, died unexpectedly at home Sunday, October 12, 2008.
Lianne was born June 24, 1941 in Gloversville. She graduated from Gloversville High in 1959 and St. Clarešs Hospital School of Radiologic Technology in 1961. Lianne began the Albany Memorial Hospital School of Radiologic Technology in 1967. Lee worked at several area hospitals lastly at Amsterdam Memorial as Chief X-ray Tech.
Lianne enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Lee loved to garden and enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends.
Lianne also was extremely interested in studying the Bible. Being a very caring and loving person, Lee was involved with several charitable donations especially animal and wildlife organizations.
Lianne is survived by a brother, Robert T. (Anne) of Hilton Head, SC, a brother Jon F. (Linda) of Schaghticoke; a sister, Kacey Frederick (Michael) of Gloversville; several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by one aunt, Betty Hands of Gloversville; and one uncle, Wilfred McCullough of So Carolina; and several cousins. Also Lianne leaves her best friends, Mona and Ted Strauss of Mayfield; and her beloved dog, Jack.
A memorial service will be held Friday 2pm at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville. Expressions of sympathy may be made to an animal charity of onešs choice.

Lois E. Johnson
Born in Berkshire, New York on Sep. 8, 1926
At Rest Oct. 12, 2008 and resided in Gloversville, NY.

Lois E. Johnson, 82, passed to eternal rest on Sunday, Oct 12th, at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville. She is joyfully reunited with husband, Al E. Johnson, who entered Heaven in 1975. Lois is survived by sister, Hannah Ruggeri Millett of Johnstown; a son, Al and wife Dee of Mooers, NY; three grandsons, Levi of Mooers, Jephthah of Northville and Yassin of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and one granddaughter, Liela of Blackwood, NJ, as well as other nieces, nephews and family. An angel of God, Marsha Johnson provided great care and comfort to Lois during her time in the nursing home. Lois was born on September 8, 1926 to Wm. Clinton and Hazel Dence of Berkshire, NY.
There will be a brief committal service on Friday, October 17 at 5:30pm in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville, followed by a fellowship meal for family and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home in Gloversville.

Tina Morgan
Born on Nov. 26, 1965
At Rest Oct. 17, 2008 and resided in Gloversville, NY.

Tina Morgan, age 42 of Gloversville, died Friday October 17, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam.
She was born on November 26, 1965 in Gloversville, the daughter of Robert and Joan Morgan.
Tina graduated high school in 1983 from Mayfield High School and went on to attend College in Pittsburgh, where in 1985 graduated with a certificate to practice as a travel agent.
Tina felt that her family and friends were the most important things to her. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, taking walks. Tina will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her companion David Myers of Gloversville; two daughters Ty-Ann Bunn and her husband Jared of Gloversville, and Tiffany Morgan also of Gloversville; One son James Morgan of Gloversville; Three sisters, Jac-Ann Perry (Mark) of Northville, Maryjo Stark (Jeff) of North Carolina, and Melody Kiefer of Missouri. Additional survivors include her two grandchildren Lily Hine and Nicholas Bunn, as well as several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours or services. Cremation will take place at Parkview Crematorium, Schenectady. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville.

Phillip M. Quinn
Born in Gloversville, New York on Jul. 31, 1940
At Rest Oct. 15, 2008 and resided in Broadalbin, NY.

Phillip M. Quinn, 68, of Old State Road, Broadalbin, formerly of Amsterdam, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. He was born in Gloversville, July 31, 1940 a son of the late William Quinn and Lillian Phillips Osborne.

Phillip was raised in the Berkshire area and attended Gloversville schools. Following school, he served his country in the US NAVY from 1958 to 1962 upon the USS Oglethorpe, a.k.a. the "100". He formerly worked at Lee Dye Industries in Johnstown, Longview Fiber in Amsterdam and was a former Fulton Country Sheriff's Deputy and Amsterdam City Police Officer. He most recently worked as a security guard for Wackenhut Corporation and the Patrol Investigative Unit in Albany.

Phillip was of Roman Catholic faith and was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Amsterdam, as well as a member of the Mayfield Volunteer Fire Dept., the Johnstown Police Auxiliary and the Gloversville Moose Lodge.

His loving family includes his daughters, Deborah (Aaron) Handy of Mayfield and Tara (Mark) Roberts, of Mayfield, two step-daughters, Tammy Poulin of Scotia and Christine Snell of Perth, two step-sons, Edward Poulin and Thomas Poulin both of Amsterdam, his grandchildren, Mark Roberts, Jr., Amy Roberts, Matthew Roberts, Timothy Handy, and Samantha Handy, his step-grandchildren, Ashley and Austin Poulin, his great-grandchildren, Hailey Williams and Chloe St. Germain, and his cousin Sandy Walter. He is also survived by his companion and close friend, Patricia Mochrie of Broadalbin and his first wife and mother of his two daughters, Madeline DuShane of Gloversville.

In addition to his parents, Phillip was predeceased by his second wife, the former Barbara DiCaprio Poulin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, East Main St., Amsterdam. Interment will be at a later date in St. Agnes Cemetery in Albany. Arrangements have been entrusted to Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Phillip's memory may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, Suite 1100, New York, NY 10016.

Raymond Carl Loucks
Born in Town of Northampton, NY on Mar. 25, 1932
At Rest Oct. 15, 2008 and resided in Gloversville, NY.

Mr. Raymond "Carl" Loucks, age 76 of Gloversville, died Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady, following a long illness.

He was born March 25, 1932 in the town of Northampton, the son of the late Henry and Ann Mead Loucks. He moved to Gloversville after his marriage to Rosemarie Priolo on October 11, 1953. He and his wife have enjoyed 55 years of marriage together. He worked at various area skin mills until he became employed by Pecks Products Company of Johnstown, where he retired from following 20 years of service.

Carl was a lifetime member of Concordia Singing Society and a former member of the Johnstown Redmen's Club. He enjoyed golf and bowling.

Survivors, in addition to his wife Rose, include a son, David Ronald Loucks and his wife Myus'A of Schertz, TX; two sisters: Amy Ellsworth and her husband Homer of Northville and Marian Hallenbeck and her husband Larry of Vail Mills; two granddaughters: Kimberly Loucks and Allison Loucks; a great-granddaughter, Jade Marie Loucks; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a daughter Denise Marie Loucks in 1957.

There will be no calling hours or services. Cremation will take place at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd; Loudonville, NY 12211 or to the charity of your choice.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville.

Margaret O. Rappa
Born in Poughkeepsie, New York on Jun. 20, 1925
At Rest Oct. 18, 2008 and resided in Canajoharie, NY.

Margaret O. Rappa, 83, of Canajoharie, passed away early Saturday, October 18, 2008 at the home of her daughter in Ames, NY, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Poughkeepsie on June 20, 1925 a daughter of the late Albert and Marie Jacchia Oeser.

Margaret was a life resident, having moved to the area with her family as a young child, and was a 1943 graduate of Canajoharie High School. She was of Roman Catholic faith and was a communicant of St. James Roman Catholic Church in Fort Plain. On September 21, 1946 she was united in marriage to Salvatore "Zeke" Rappa at St. Peter and Paul's Roman Catholic Church in Canajoharie. He predeceased her on July 4, 2007.

Margaret was a loving homemaker, first and foremost. She enjoyed raising her three daughters and helping out on the family's farm in Canajoharie. In addition to this, she worked at other various places over the years such as Ration-K, Beech-Nut and Bartholomew Commission Sales, although, her favorite and most recent job was in the Jewelry Department at Ames Department Store in Palatine Bridge. Margaret enjoyed reading, painting and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends.

Her loving family includes her daughters; Mari R. Bartholomew and her husband Larry, Margaret Ann Tryon and her husband, Ronnie, and Sally Anne Rappa all of Ames, her grandchildren; Crissy M. Jenks and her husband, Thomas of Canajoharie, Sarah Lunde and her husband, Paul of Schoharie, Tracey Tryon of Canajoharie, Joe Bartholomew and Amy Kirkpatrick of Irvine, CA, and Lisa Tryon of Canajoharie, her great-grandchildren; Kaitlyn Jenks, Thomas Jenks, Jr., Brienna Lunde and Makenna Lunde, her sisters; Bertha Myers of St. Johnsville and Christina Hayes of Texas, and her brothers; Henry Oeser and his wife, Joan of St. Johnsville, James F. Oeser and his wife, Aletha of Florida, and Emery Oeser of St. Johnsville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Margaret was predeceased by a brother, Albert Oeser.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at St. James Roman Catholic Church, Reid Street, Fort Plain, NY. Interment with the Catholic Rite of Committal will follow in the Ames Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Monday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY. Contributions in Margaret's memory may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078, the Canajoharie Library at Arkell Museum, 2 Erie Blvd, Canajoharie, NY 13317, or to the Albany Medical Center Children's Hospital, 43 New Scotland Avenue, Albany, NY 12208.
