John H. Stallsworth
John Henry Stallsworth, 63, of White City, died Sunday (Aug. 16, 1998) at his home. A private service was held. Inurnment will be in the Eagle Point National Cemetery.

He was born July 6, 1935, in Medford, a son of John and Celia Atkinson Stallsworth. He lived in the Rogue Valley his entire life.
Mr. Stallsworth was a caretaker at the Veterans Affairs Domiciliary in White City for 20 years.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include two brothers, Jack, Medford, and Leonard, Gold Hill; and two sisters, Jodie Harper, Central Point, and Echo Laflin, Las Vegas, Nev. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Arrangements: Memory Gardens Mortuary.
Grace E. Pommerening
Grace Elizabeth Pommerening, 85, of Medford, died Thursday (Aug. 20, 1998) at her home. A private service was held. Private interment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.

She was born Grace Elizabeth Baxter on Sept. 11, 1912, in Belvedere, Calif.
On Sept. 24, 1944, in Antioch, Calif., she married Edwin Pommerening, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Pommerening was a bookkeeper for a cannery. She moved to the Rogue Valley from Milton-Freewater in 1981.
She was a member of the Ingle Chapel in Milton-Freewater.
Survivors include a daughter, Theresa Bates, Spokane, Wash., two sons, Ed Pommerening, Pinehurst, Idaho, and Gary Winkleman, Denair, Calif.; two sisters, Carol Marquardt and Geneva Allison, both of Antioch, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two husbands, a son, two brothers, and a sister.

Hubert Dale Brown
Hubert Dale Brown, 73, of White City, died Aug. 21, 1998, at Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford. A private service is planned. Inurnment be at the Eagle Point National Cemetery.

Mr. Brown was born Dec. 13, 1924, in Klamath Falls.
On Aug. 8, 1946, in Klamath Falls, he married Lucille Johnson, who survives.
He served in the U.S. Army and was awarded the Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal for service in Japan.
He worked as a millwright.
Mr. Brown enjoyed the mountains and being outdoors. He was an avid hunter and liked fishing and camping.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Barbara Goddard, White City, and Terry Ritchey, Eagle Point; four sons, Dale Brown, Jacksonville, Donnie Brown and Ray Brown, Klamath Falls, and Jimmy Brown, of Washington state; a sister, Jackie McCall, Alturas, Calif; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

William C. Darracott
The memorial service for William Calvert Darracott will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Bethel Church, 1225 East McAndrews Road, Medford. Pastors Tim Olson and Pat Winningham of Bethel Church will officiate. Private interment will be held in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Darracott, 76, of Medford, died Tuesday (Aug. 18, 1998) at his home.

He was born July 22, 1922, in Los Angeles, Calif.
On April 8, 1992, in Medford, he married Ida May Taylor Jackson, who survives.
Mr. Darracott was a welder at Mare Island Shipyard in Vallejo, Calif. until retiring in 1975. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1977 from Napa, Calif.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Darracott was a member of Bethel Church.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and dancing.

James Escalona-Wold
Friends and relatives of James Arthur Escalona-Wold will gather at 11 a.m. Sunday at the family home, 24430 Highway 62, Trail.
Mr. Escalona-Wold, 40, of Trail, died Wednesday (Aug. 19, 1998) at his home.
He was born Sept. 15, 1958, in Falmouth, Mass.
On Sept. 15, 1990, in Pinetop, Ariz., he married Kaye Wold, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley from Escondido, Calif., eight years ago.
Mr. Escalona-Wold was a route driver for Aramark in White City.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Escalona-Wold enjoyed fishing, skeet and trap shooting, and woodworking.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his mother, Donna Escalona, Medford; two brothers, Wayne Escalona, Shady Cove, and Dan Escalona, Escondido, Calif.; and a sister, Sherri Hale, White City.

Laurie Lee Puterbaugh
The memorial service for Lauri Lee Puterbaugh will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Unitarian Universalist Church, Fourth and C streets, Ashland. The Rev. Armida Alexander will officiate.
A second memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Lake Oswego. The Rev. McMahan will officiate.
Ms. Puterbaugh, 37, of Talent, died Wednesday (Aug. 19, 1998) in Medford.
She was born June 3, 1961, in Portland.
Ms. Puterbaugh graduated from Portland State University in 1990 with a master's degree in speech pathology.
She was a speech pathologist with Sundance in Portland.
Ms. Puterbaugh moved to the Rogue Valley in 1997 from Klamath Falls.
She was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Ashland.
She enjoyed golf, skiing, hiking and swimming.
Survivors include a daughter, Nikalete Sky Pearl, Talent; her parents, George Puterbaugh, Beaverton, and Sally Ford, Kailua, Hawaii; two brothers, Clifford, Aloha, and John, Santa Fe, N.M.; two sisters, Frances G. Puterbaugh, and Carrie A. Tabor, both of Oregon.
Friends may pay their respects from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Conger-Morris Funeral Home, Medford.
Clarabel E. Dodds
The graveside service for Clarabel E. Dodds will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Hawthorne Memorial Gardens, Grants Pass. Pastor Dick Boden of the Applegate Christian Fellowship will officiate.
Mrs. Dodds, 89, of Gold Hill, died Tuesday (Aug. 18, 1998) at Three Fountains Nursing Center, Medford.
She was born Clarabel Emma Wright on June 19, 1909, in Deer Flat, Idaho.
She graduated from San Jose State College.
Mrs. Dodds was an elementary school teacher in San Jose, Ventura and Oxnard, Calif.
In 1955, in Ventura, she married Barney Oglesby, who died in 1984.
She later married Archie Dodds, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Dodds moved to Gold Hill in 1991 from Ventura.
She was devoted to child evangelism and enjoyed Bible study and teaching Sunday school.
Survivors include three stepsons, George Oglesby, Gold Hill, Larry Dodds, in Peru, and Stanley Dodds; and two stepdaughters, June Latin, Portland, and Carol Dodds.
