David 'Davey' Lawrence Blick Jr.

David "Davey" Lawrence Blick Jr., 27, of North Charleston, died Sunday, October 21, 2007.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, October 25, in the North Pentecostal Holiness Church in North, with the Rev. Ashton Feagin officiating. Burial will be in the Kinney Memorial Gardens near Neeses.

The casket will be placed in the church at 2 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Hiott III, Craig Hiott, Eddie Walker, Matt Kirk, Corey Mize, Dustin Pease, Justin Pease, Brian Wright, and Jeff Fennell.

Mr. Blick was born in Charleston, a son of David Lawrence Blick Sr. and Robin Hiott Lynch. He was employed by Morelli Heating and Air Conditioning. He was a graduate of Hanahan High School.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Robin and Jim Lynch of Orangeburg and former stepfather, Calvin Mize of Holly Hill; his father, David Blick Sr. of Ladson; he leaves with the deepest of love to his fiance' and soul mate of 10 years, Lauren Kirk of North Charleston; brother, Corey Mize of North Charleston; two sisters, Christian Mize of Neeses and Ashley Blick of Columbia; maternal grandmother, Janice Hiott of Neeses; maternal great-grandparents, Robert and Maggie Kinney of Neeses; special uncle and aunt, Tommy and Cindy Hiott Jr. of Neeses; a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a maternal grandfather, Tommy "Pa-Pa" Hiott Sr. and paternal grandparents, Elijah and Laura Virginia Blick.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home of North and other times at the home of Janice Hiott, 668 Fire Tower Road, Neeses.

Memorials may be made to the Hollings Cancer Center of Charleston.

Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home of North is in charge of arrangements.

Ruth Carter Poole

Funeral services for Ruth Carter Poole, 84, of 303 Willing Lakes Court, will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2007, in the Dukes-Harley Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Mike McLean officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Poole died October 20, at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Palmetto Chapter, P.O. Box 7044, Columbia, SC 29202-7044 or to The Caregivers of First Baptist Church of Orangeburg, 1240 Russell Street, Orangeburg, SC 29115.

Dukes-Harley Funeral Home of Orangeburg is in charge of arrangements.

Miss Margie Agieson

Funeral services for Miss Margie Agieson, 54, of 402 Milligan Circle, St. Matthews, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2007, in the St. Paul Baptist Church in Orangeburg, with the Rev. Charcey Priester officiating. Burial will be in the Randolph Cemetery in Holly Hill.

The casket will be placed in the church at 10 a.m.

Active pallbearers will be family and friends.

Miss Agieson died October 19, at the Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

She was born December 15, 1952, in Orangeburg County, a daughter of the late Ernest Agieson and the late Lurline Williams Agieson. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal savior. She was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church for many years.

She leaves to rejoice in her memory, two uncles, Lacell (Louise) Williams of Orangeburg and Willie (Annette) Williams of Sarasota, Fla. She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Also, she leaves her special family of the Marion Gressette Center.

Friends may call at Glover's Funeral Home of Orangeburg.

Mary Koons Foos

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elaine Koons Foos, 82, of 135 Crescent Oaks Court, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 22, 2007, in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with Father Michael Okere officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Foos died Friday, October 19, at her residence.

She was a loving wife and homemaker of the late Anthony C. Foos of 57 years.

The family extends their thanks for the love and care given by Judy Carson and United Hospice of Orangeburg during their mother's illness.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association Palmetto Chapter, P.O. Box 7044, Columbia, SC 29202-7044.

Mrs. Edith F. Fogle

Graveside services for Mrs. Edith F. Fogle will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2007, at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Benjamin Smoak officiating, conducted by Thompson Funeral Home Inc. in Orangeburg.

The family will receive friends after the service at the church.

Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 88, Neeses, SC 29107.

Fred Fogle Jr.

Mr. Fred Fogle, 59, of 508 North Pine St., Anchorage, Alaska, died Thursday, October 11, 2007, after a brief illness.

Funeral plans will be announced by Glover's Funeral Home of Orangeburg.

Friends may call at the residence of his sister, Mrs. Emma F. Wilson, 137 Radius Court, Branchville and Mrs. Mary F. Scott, 133 Radius Court, Branchville and at the funeral home.

Lucia Mae Zeigler Pittman

Lucia Mae Zeigler Pittman died Friday, October 19, 2007, at the home of her brother, Olin D. and his wife, Betty Zeigler of Jacksonville, N.C.

Lucia Mae was born May 14, 1920, in Orangeburg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Pittman; her brothers, T.J. Zeigler, Velton Zeigler, Charlie W. Zeigler, all of Orangeburg, J. Loyd Zeigler of Portland, Ore.; sister, Hazel Love of Cope. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Minerva Etheridge Zeigler of Orangeburg.

She is survived by her brother, Olin D. and his wife, Betty Zeigler of Jacksonville, N.C.; her sisters, Mrs. Annie Laura Gregory of Orangeburg and Mrs. Zelma Kendrick and her husband, Wiley Kendrick of Kinston, Ala.; one special son-in-law, Craig Swanson of Crescent City, Calif., and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

As per her request, there will be no services.

Cremation is being handled by Johnson Funeral Home of Jacksonville, N.C.

JoAnn Holloway

Graveside services for JoAnn Holloway, 49, of 3544 Cordova Road, Cordova, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2007, at Double Branch Baptist Church Cemetery near Pinehill, with the Rev. Larry Williams officiating.

Mrs. Holloway died Thursday, October 18, at the Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia.

She was born January 20, 1958 in Orangeburg County, the daughter of Joe W. Farr and Billie Sheppard Farr. She was a member of Rivelon Baptist Church and was employed with South Carolina Bank & Trust.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Holloway of Cordova; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Tabatha Holloway and Michael and Leann Holloway, all of Orangeburg; one daughter and son-in-law, April and Victor White of Canaan Community; two grandchildren, Miranda White and Preston White, both of Canaan Community; her parents, Joe W. and Billie S. Farr of Orangeburg; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Rick Davies of Oklahoma, Kay and Gary Joyner of the Pinehill Community; one brother and sister-in-law, Joseph William and (Susan) Farr Jr. of Orangeburg.

Friends may call at the residence of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Farr, 2532 Fairway Drive, Orangeburg, SC 29118.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, S.C. Division, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.

Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Orangeburg is in charge of arrangements.

George W. Garrick

George Watson Garrick, 84, of 154 Yorkshire Drive, died Sunday, October 28, 2007, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, in the Two Mile Swamp Baptist Church in Cope, with the Rev. Wilbur Creech officiating. Burial will be in the Two Mile Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery in Cope.

The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service.

Active pallbearers will be Charlie Williams, David Black, Ricky Krewson, Rusty Krewson, Alex Cave, James Strock, Tony Garrick, Tim Garrick, Tom Garrick, Todd Garrick, Devin Bair, and Eric Williams.

Mr. Garrick was born February 22, 1923, in Cope, the son of the late Henry Belton Garrick and the late Eden Douglas Garrick. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II. He was retired from DuPont Savannah River Site. He was the widower of the late Deloris Halmon Garrick and was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor G. Covert and a brother, Henry Garrick.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Karen G. and Harold E. Black of Orangeburg; one granddaughter, Kelly Lauren Ulmer of Orangeburg; three sisters, Jean G. Krewson of Harlem, Ga., Nancy Bair of Charleston, Elaine Cave of Neeses; one brother, John Garrick of Norway and a number of nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the funeral home.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 29, at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Orangeburg.
