Born on Jan. 21, 1949 in Dallas, the son of Howard and Ruby O. Salach Patterson, he passed away May 20, 2001 in Wilmer.
Preceded in death by his father; he is survived by his wife Kathy Patterson of Kemp; mother Ruby Salach Patterson of Wilmer; daughters and sons-in-law Kerrie Gowin and Robert of Palmer, Kristie Patterson of Ferris and Brandy Miller and Lyle of Lancaster; sisters Betty Slater of Frost, Phyllis Slough of Wilmer and Claudine Lenamond of Forney; brothers Billy Patterson of Scurry, Bobby Patterson of Wilmer and Earl Patterson of Wilmer and friend Prissy Patterson of Kemp.
Pallbearers were Billy Patterson Jr., Scott Hill, Pat Masterson, Robert Gowin, Wayne Osteen and Lyle Miller.
Interment followed in the Edgewood cemetery in Lancaster under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.
Bobby D. Baker Sr.

KAUFMAN - Funeral services for Bobby D. Baker Sr., 64 of Kaufman, were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2001 in the First Baptist Church in Kaufman with Rev. Al Prier officiating.
Born on Nov. 15, 2936 in Avalon, he passed away May 20, 2001 at his residence.
Preceded in death by his father Charlie Earl Baker, mother Mary Etta Scott and brother Charlie Marshall Baker; he is survived by his wife of 42 years Carlene Longino Baker of Kaufman; three sons and daughters-in-law Bobby D. Baker Jr. and Valerie of Garland, Marty Baker and Sheila of Terrell and Brian Baker and Jennifer of Garland; sister Shirley Robison of Ranger; and six grandchildren Marty Jr., Brittany, Bethany, Chad, Benjamin and Lydia.
Interment followed in the Roselawn Memorial Park in Seagoville under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.

WICHITA FALLS – Funeral services for Rose Nell Biggerstaff, 79 of Wichita Falls, were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, 2001 in the chapel of Hampton Vaughan Crestview.
Born Aug. 24, 1921 in Ferris, the daughter of James Wicker and Lola Smith, she passed away Aug. 1, 2001 in Wichita Falls.
Preceded in death by her husband W.W. Biggerstaff; she is survived by her sons Roy McClung Jr. of Seymour and Bill McClung of Georgetown; daughters Linda Morris of Lakeside City and Karla Perez of Richardson; brother Wayne Smith of Maypearl; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Interment followed in the Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Crestview.
Harper Wadley

PALMER – Funeral services for Harper Wadley, 77 of Palmer, were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, 2001 in the First United Methodist Church in Palmer with Rev. Mel Bishara and Rev. Joe Larson officiating.
Born May 3, 1924 in Palmer, the son of Oran and Cozy Harper Wadley, he passed away Aug. 8, 2001 at his home.
He is survived by his wife Ruth of Palmer; son and his wife John and Rebecca Wadley of Waxahachie and two grandchildren James and Jarrod Wadley.
Interment followed in the Palmer cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary – Palmer Chapel.
Dorothy Bell Cunningham

FERRIS – Funeral services for Dorothy Bell Cunningham, 74 of Ferris, were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, 2001 at Burks-Walker-Tippit Funeral Home chapel in Tyler with Rev. Lisa Swayze officiating.
Born June 23, 1927 in Henderson, a retired licensed vocational nurse having worked in geriatrics at Arlington Memorial Hospital, she passed away Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001. She attended Christ Church Assembly of God in Ferris.
She is survived by her sons Ron Cunningham of Duncanville, Larry Cunningham of Grand Prairie and Randy Cunningham of Ferris; daughter Mary Masek of Ferris; brother John Bell of Chandler; sisters Marie Fisher of Grand Prairie and Mary Lois Burks of San Diego, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Aaron Cunningham, Michael Masek, Matthew Masek, Allen Cunningham, Luke Cunningham and Jonathan Masek.
Interment followed under the direction of Burks-Walker-Tippit Funeral Home in Tyler.

Born Oct. 22, 1954 in Los Angeles, Calif., the daughter of Clinton and Ester Harmon Wineberg, she passed away Nov. 4, 2001 in Ferris.
Preceded in death by her father; she is survived by her husband Duane E. Meador of Ferris; daughters Keri Miller of Franklin, Ky., Barbara Gumbs of Dover, N.H., Lori Meador of Bowling Green, Ky. and Amie Meador of Ferris; sons James Reid of Aztec, N.M., Auther Reid of La Grange, Ky., and Bryan Meador of Bowling Green; mother Ester Stallings of Lancaster, Calif.; sisters Carol Smith of Seattle, Wash., Lou Flint of Falinas, Calif. and Lori Shoneberg of Lancaster, Calif.; brother Stan Wineberg of Farmington, N.M. and 11 grandchildren.
Interment followed in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Covina, Calif. under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.

Born March 6, 1949, the son of Harold and Patricia Steele, he passed away Nov. 2, 2001.
He is survived by his wife Paula Cousins Steele; three step-daughters Valerie Redd, Tonya Redd and Nikki Redd all of Ferris; parents and two sisters Theresa Steele and Eugenia Steele all of Carrollton; son Aaron Steele and two grandchildren of Colorado.
Interment followed at Hilltop Memorial Park in Carrollton.

Born July 6, 1918 in Mars, Pa., the son of Walter Cleveland and Sarah Ramsey Spithaler, he passed away Nov. 3, 2001 in Waxahachie.
He is survived by his wife Irma Spithaler of Palmer; sons Paul W. Spithaler Jr. of Virginia Beach, Va. and Ronald M. Spithaler of Mt. Holly, N.C.; daughter Darlene Schermerhorn of Palmer; brothers Ralph Spithaler of Rodchester, Pa. and Glenn Spithaler of Velencia, Pa.; sister Lois Andres of Butler, Pa. and four grandchildren.
Interment followed in the Oleander Memorial Garden in Wilmington, N.C. under the direction of Red Oak Funeral Home, Berdon Byrum.

Born Feb. 27, 1912 in Palmer, the daughter of Cleveland Wilson and Birdie Staton Daniel, she was married
to W. Joe Smith, Sr. in 1937.
She was retired from Sears and Roebuck Co.
A member of Bristol Church of Christ and lifetime resident of Ferris, she passed away Nov. 30, 2001.
Her great-grandchildren represent the sixth generation of Ferris residents in her family.
Preceded in death by her husband, she is survived by her children W. Joe Smith, Jr. and wife Laura of Rockett and Joanna Smith Dunn and her husband Billy D. Dunn of Ferris; grandchildren Bradley Daniel Dunn of Austin, Lisa Smith Duran and husband Junior Duran of Ferris, Keith Weston Dunn of Ferris, Jennifer Smith and Allison Smith of Rockett; and three great-grandchildren Kathryne Dunn of Red Oak and Denise and Madison Duran both of Ferris.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.

Preceded in death by her parents and son Ernest Nelson Jr.; she is survived by her husband Henry Hill of Ferris; daughters Peggy Graham of Arkansas, Nelda Larson of Fort Dodge, Iowa and Beverly Teague of Ferris; son David Nelson of Wilmer; brother Billy Ellis of Houston; and 13 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Paul Larson, Leaman Lumpkin, David Nelson, Andrew McBride, Travis Teague and Gabriel Larson.
