Born Sept. 22, 1923 in Kleberg, the daughter of Hershel and Henrietta Busby Guinn, she passed away Sept. 18, 2002 in the Medical Center in Terrell.
Preceded in death by her husband Floyd Pinson, parents, daughter Norma Jean Collins, sister Treva Redd and brothers Emmitt Guinn and Carl Guinn; she is survived by her daughters Brenda Book and her husband Jimmy of Quinlan, Carla Hood and her husband Tim of Terrell and Donna Earnest and her husband Byron of Lancaster; son Floyd Pinson Jr. and his wife Susan of Red Oak; sister Mary Margaret Meadows of Grand Prairie; brother Tommy Guinn of Dallas; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.

WILMER - Cremation services for Ernest Carl Dandridge, 77 of Wilmer, were held Monday, Dec. 9, 2002 at the Whispering Pines Cremation Services in Edgewood.
Born June 28, 1925 in Hubbard, the son of Ernest Claude Dandridge and Pearl Lee Mayfield, he passed away Dec. 8, 2002 in Wilmer.
Preceded in death by his parents and son Ernest Dandridge Jr.; he is survived by his wife Wilma C. Dandridge of Wilmer; daughters Marti Dandridge of Wilmer, Diana Dandridge of Hereford and Carlene Kohler of Springtown, Mo.; son Jack Dandridge of Tyler; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.
Joe Franklin Tidwell
FERRIS - Funeral services for Joe Franklin Tidwell, 68 of Ferris, were held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2002 in Green Funeral Home with Bro. Sonny Spurger officia-ting. He is sur-vived by his wife Jackie Tidwell of Ferris; daughter and son-in-law Jolynne and Terry Lynn Spurgeon both of Mesquite; daughter Julie Tidwell of Mesquite; grandson and granddaughter-in-law John Scott and Angla N. Spurgeon both of Cedar Hill.
Interment followed in the Little Bethel Memorial Park in Duncanville under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.
Carmen Maldonado

WAXAHACHIE - Mass of Christian Burial services for Carmen Maldonado, 80 of Waxahachie, were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2002 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Michael Guadagnoli as celebrant.
Born June 13, 1922 in Waxahachie, the daughter of Francisco and Ramona Rosales Raya, she passed away December 2002 in Arlington.
She was married
to Elias Maldonado on April 27, 1953.
Preceded in death by her daughter Mary Lou Pennington and brother Mercedes Raya; she is survived by her husband of 49 years, Elias Maldonado Sr. of Waxahachie; children Wally and Felicia Munoz of California, Tony Maldonado of Waxahachie, Vicki and Pablo Sanchez of Cedar Hill, Richard and Nita Maldonado of Waxahachie and Cynthia Maldonado of Quinlan; step-son Elias Maldonado Jr. and his wife Mary of Maypearl; grandchildren Cassie Maldonado, Ricky Alexander, Vincent and Christina Sanchez, Donna Pennington, Renee Pennington, Don Pen-nington Jr., Giselle Coz, Hugo Coz, Lori Tobar, Stephanie Maldonado, Brandi Wilkins and Brandon McCain; and nine grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Interment followed in the Dallas-Fort Worth National cemetery under the direction of Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home.

RED OAK - Graveside services for James L. Trees, 71 of Red Oak, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002 in the Trees cemetery in Cedar Hill with Rev. John Dirk officiating.
Born Jan. 5, 1931 in Ovilla, the son of Merrit and Selma Trees, he passed away Dec. 1, 2002.
He is survived by his wife June; two sons Curtis Trees and his wife Pam of DeSoto and Eddie Trees and his wife Marva of Red Oak; daughter Christy Huckabee and her husband Merrill of Red Oak; brother Bill Trees and his wife Martha Nell of Red Oak; six grandchildren Tim and Amie Trees, Leann and Lori Trees and Chance and Casy Huckabee and three nieces.
Honorary pallbearers were Tim Trees, Chance Huckabee, Casy Huckabee, Steve O'Brien, Johnny Murphy and Cecil Cox.
Arrangements were under the direction of Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home.

Preceded in death by her husband Frank Macik; she is survived by her sons and wives E.J. and Georgia Macik of Houston, Harry and Vernell Macik of Hallettisville, James and Debbie Macik of Decator and Nick and Shirley Macik of Austin; daughter and her husband Dorothy and Tim Prasifka of Hutchins; brother Louis Kubia Jr. of Seymour; sisters Henrietta Motl of Seymour and Mary Matus of Red Springs; 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Interment followed in the Catholic cemetery in Seymour under the direction of Red Oak Funeral Home, Berdon Byrum.
Edward 'Mickey' Babroski

DALLAS - Edward 'Mickey' Babroski, 56, was cremated and no services were held.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
Born Nov. 23, 1946 in Waverly, NY, he passed away Nov. 15, 2002 at the Veteran's Hospital in Dallas.
Preceded in death by his wife Marjorie; he is survived by his son Michael Babroski of Palmer; daughter Anita Babroski of Detroit, Mich.; sister Cora Babroski of Owego, NY and five grandchildren Rebeccah, Amber, Harley, Laine and Christy.

Steven Nelson Chapman

RED OAK – Funeral services for Steven (Steve) Nelson Chapman, 55 of Red Oak, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003 at the First Baptist Church of Red Oak where he served as deacon, Sunday school teacher and treasurer with James Shenrock officiating.
Born Feb. 3, 1947 in Waxahachie, the son of Melvin and Mary Cunningham Chapman, he passed away Jan. 22, 2003 after a courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). He went to work for Optical Clinic in Dallas after graduating college and worked there 20 years. He then opened Steve’s Optical in Red Oak and later went into a partnership with Dr. David Reagan at Town Square Optical in Waxahachie.
Preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Mary Chapman of Red Oak and aunt Sara Cunningham of Mesquite; he is survived by his wife of 34 years Brenda Chapman of Red Oak; daughter Denise Chapman of Allen; sister and brother-in-law Melva and Dan Sutherland of Red Oak; nephew Colby Lemon of Houston and uncle and aunt Grady and Lucy Chapman of Red Oak.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Red Oak building fund or to the ALS Association.
Interment followed in the Red Oak cemetery under the direction of Red Oak Funeral Home, Berdon Byrum.

Born Feb. 28, 1989 in Dallas, the son of Robert Edward Sr. and Tamara Pearce Cerda, he passed away Jan. 20, 2003 in Red Oak.
He is survived by his mother Tamara Pearce of Red Oak; father and stepmother Robert E. Cerda Sr. and Hope Cerda of Carrollton; sisters Shandalyn Cerda of Red Oak and Christina Cerda of Dallas; grandparents Wanda and Richard Brown of Lancaster and Joe and Mary Cerda of Grand Prairie; great-grandmother Virginia Pearce of Arkansas; great-grandparents Julio and Mary Melendez of Quinland; and aunt Amanda Pearce.

She is survived by her mother Nancy Childress of Red Oak; father and step-mother Donald Childress and Brenda of Waxahachie; grandparents Maxcine and Bobby Hobbs of Ennis; brother Bryan Childress of Red Oak; and aunts and uncles Jim and Pat Hall, Sharon and David Monzingo, Mauda Bell, Ronnie Childress, and Pam and Woody Gray.

She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Ann Dosier of Balch Springs, grandchildren, Duane Dosier and wife Rhonda, Shana Dosier Gladden and husband Ty, all of Mesquite, three great-grandchildren, Tara Dosier, Justin Dosier, Codee Ann Gladden all of Mesquite.

Born Sept. 16, 1909 in Italy to Hugh Ernest and Lily Kathryn Few Holley, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at Trinity Mission Health and Rehab Nursing Home in Italy. She married
Nolie Gardner on February 2, 1925 in Italy and was married
51 years before his death in 1976. She worked for Haggar’s around 20 years and was a member of the Church of Christ in Italy.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Nolie, daughter Bonnie Compton, four sisters, and three brothers. She is survived by two daughters, Edna Yarborough of Italy and Ethel Herrin and her husband of Waxahachie, two sons, Kenneth Gardner and his wife Margaret of Italy and Larry Gardner and his wife Elaine of Waxahachie, 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 16 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
